Visited here today after meaning to for ages, the smoked barbecue offerings seemed to good to resist. The location is a little out of the way, but not a problem. Inside is nice, a little small, but well decorated and has that modern pub feel. Staff were very friendly. The menu was quite large compared to some of the barbecue places locally. I opted for the bacon cheeseburger with Peanut butter, the wife the chicken breast burger. The food was very nicely prepared, and the portions large. I kinda wished now id gone for something else, as the burger seemed to be grilled and not smoked like the rest of the menu, but it was very nice none the less, likewise with the chicken burger. We will be back for the chilli next time

We were there a few days ago and really enjoyed the experience! The place was packed and they had reservations coming in, so we ended up eating at the side counter, which was perfectly fine. They had a deal in which you could have 2 mains for the price of 1, from a specific selection of dishes. We were happy to see there were 2 vegetarian options in there and we went for them: a burger (carrot and coriander) and a Chimichanga. They were both delicious! They came with fries which were very good as well. Sometimes on this deals we end up being short changed on quantity, but this was not the case, the serving was just right! In conclusion, we had a good time and will certainly visit again!

We visited on a Friday lunchtime after hearing really good things about this place. We arrived just before 1pm and were the only people in the pub. We thought that was bit odd considering the good reviews. The menu is really big, covering BBQ food, loads of wings and sides, burgers, buttermilk chicken and salads. Almost too big. We opted for corndogs and loads of sides as a snack but sadly corndogs were not available so I had a buttermilk chicken burger with chorizo and halloumi and my partner had one of their hotdogs which has a sausage specially made for the pub. We got chicken wings to share. The food arrived and looked amazing. Huge portions and really good value. My burger was delicious! The combo worked well and the homemade dips were fantastic. The only let down was the bun and fries - both felt really cheap and spongy. Not what you expect from decent burgers these days. My partners hotdog was also delicious. He opted for sweet potato fries which were exceptional. Some of the best i've ever tasted. So, good for a fill but there are better burger places in Brighton.

I am totally gutted, after reading about the amazing ribs that fall off the bone, I ordered some, together with the buttermilk chicken. Well, these ribs would never fall off the bone, they were solid and dry and combined with the oily, under cooked, rubbery chicken, I ended up with one of the worst meals I've ever had in Brighton. It's not as if the delivery time could have been a factor, as it was delivered in under 30mins from placing the order. The only problem with the delivery was the mystery pot in the delivery bag, I think it might have had beans it, but this had all spilled out somewhere (there was a hole in the bag), so I never got to try whatever it was - either way, the whole order was thrown in the bin.

Having read the reviews. I suggested this place for a stag weekend meal - the Stag's request being anywhere with lots of meat. We turned up early to have a few pre-dinner drinks. Being a hot day, the little "beer garden"/courtyard was packed, but inside was fairly empty. This is not a place fot CAMRA members searching for craft ales, but for a regular pint it's just fine. As we were a large group, we had pre-ordered our food. The menu offers a good selection of bbq'd meats and various different burgers. I went for the ribs and wings. The ribs were very good - not overly sweet and with a little kick of mustard. The meat was fall off the bone tender - I actually prefer a little more bite to the meat, but I did enjoy them. The buttermilk wings were delicious - think KFC, but so much better. The pickled slaw was an interesting addition, and prefer that style of coleslaw over the usual mayonnaise drowned stuff you normally get. Sweet potato fries and meaty bbq beans rounded off a giant meal. I wasn't stuffed, but definitely satisfied. Service was very good considering the size of our group - a few people (including me) had to wait a few extra minutes until our food came, but not too long. My meal didn't come with bbq beans but they threw them in for free. A couple of us wanted a spicy sauce and they brought a selection - and the (chef or owner) even brought his special "off menu" extra hot chilli sauce. So if you are in Brighton and craving some American BBQ food, head to The Big Eats Co and chow down on some meaty, smokey goodness

I really wanted to go to that restaurant because I love meat and it had good reviews. I decided to go on a sunny day out to London despite the fact it is quite far from the station and the beach. When we arrived we were barely taken notic of and I had to walk up to the bar to ask if they were still serving food. Yes they were! I didn't give up after an icy welcome and was told to go to a table where I could find menus. Ok... as I sat down I had enough time to choose my drinks and food and look around for a good 15 minutes as staff were having a nice chat by the bar and another waitress was starting writing the specials on the board. That was enough time to notice all the flies around and read the menu a few times again. We just decided to leave without ordering as nobody seemed to care about us. I ended up eating fish and chips by the sea. Thank you Big Eats Co. You wasted about 1 hour of my life walking to your restaurant, being ignored and walking back to the beach. I surely won't recommend your restaurant nor come back because no matter how good you are your staff are just rude and unprofessional!

I thought this was a little bland, dry and overpriced, but I've only heard good things so may have been an off day. Very friendly staff all the same.

The Druids is the by far the best for its amazing quality and greatly priced bbq food. My personal favourite is the ribs and wings combo - it is simply delicious! The staff are great and the atmosphere terrific. Zero complaints here. We have been here about 5 to 6 times in the past 2 months as we love it so much. Addicted I think is the correct word. Can't wait to eat there again next weekend probably...LOL

The Druids is like 3 or 4 great pubs in one building! Lovely for a family lunch where the food is simply delicious, drinks are well priced and ale is exceptionally well looked after. A great spot for a pint after work with friendly people in every corner. A meal with friends? Again the food is amazing and the staff are great! Late night? Well the price goes up a bit but it's still a great atmosphere and you may even catch a band or DJ at the weekend. My personal favourite Brighton boozer, well worth a quick test for some chicken wings and a pint to see if you agree!

We called in at the Druids Arms having heard great things about Big Eats food. I have a garlic intolerance which has ruined many a meal out and looking at the menu I wasn't very hopeful. However the chef came out to personally advise me of what I could eat and what could be modified, made me a sauce from scratch and swapped the garlicky potato wedges for thyme-sauteed baby boiled potatoes. It was all delicious and loved the pub too; great decor and nice range of ciders, beers and gins.

We ate here on 'wing night' recently, when they serve a side of wings with some of the main meals, and we're really glad we did. Otherwise, we would have probably only ordered a burger - which was great - but the wings are outstanding. They're crispy, deep-fried wings - proper American-style - and the homemade sauces on the side are a great addition. Chips are also really good, and the pickled coleslaw is a lighter, zestier, more interesting take on a classic. Neither of us could finish our meals, so come prepared for a huge feed. On the down side, the place itself was pretty empty when we visited, which meant there wasn't much atmosphere, and the beer selection isn't very impressive - a couple of good craft bottles, but almost nothing special on draught.

If you want a meal that leaves you feeling like your stomach has been spanked by the best dominatrix money can buy… then come here… it lives up to its name… Big Eats. I chose the Red Head…which was the best life choice I have made all week… succulent savoury chicken that has been bathing in buttermilk topped with chorizo & halloumi in a sumptuous fresh bun… just YES!! Sadly I had to sacrifice some of said bun for my side of smoked cheddar corn bread & gravy… a gravy that can only be described as liquid smokey meat…bliss. If you're not into whey protein & love friendly staff & a welcoming atmosphere then pop into the Druids Arms get your Big Eats on!!! & if you are into lifting & clean eating… have a cheat day & give yourself a feast that warms the soul!!! You know you want to!!!

We went to here after two different friends recommended it, excellent value for money.I spent no more than £17 on two generous meals for me and my partner. I had the smokey pulled pork which was absolutely gorgeous, served with corn bread, some kind of bacon and beans mix, and a side of rice. My Partner had the vegetarian burger which was equally generous she couldn't even finish everything. All hot, smokey and spicy! It's in a pub so there's no table service and the atmosphere will be whatever the pub atmosphere of that night is, but I highly recommend the food for it's value and quality. Whoever does the smoking of the meats really knows what they are doing.

Was down in Brighton visiting friends and they suggested we try this new food product at their local pub. It was seriously good!! The usual things you'd imagine from a barbecue/smoke house offering but with more thought. The smoked Jerk Chicken with home pickled Scotch bonnet salsa and rice and peas came on what seemed like a scaffold board as did the ribs. I tried one of the home smoked burgers (mine was stuffed with cheddar and jalapeños) sweet potato fries and a chipotle mayo, lush! The food was so much better than you'd expect from a pub. Can't wait till I'm next down by the sea :0)
