Big Dave's Cafe in Bromsgrove

As a truck driver, I use cafes all around the UK and beyond. I have to say that Big Daves is definitely my favourite! The first thing you notice walking in is how spotlessly clean it is. Floor, walls, counter, everything is sparkling. Dave and his wife are a lovely couple who always make you feel welcome. It's always busy with local people eating in or grabbing a takeout, which is always a sign of a good cafe. That said, you never have to wait too long for your food. There is a wider menu, but I've only ever been for the full English breakfast, which is fantastic! Really good quality food. I recommend this cafe highly.

We looked for halfway house brekkie stop between Swindon and Belfry, and this hit the spot. Just 5 mins off the motorway Jnct, it was ideal. It’s a proper “mini cafe stop”, we had 2 small breakfasts and 1 medium (don’t let that distract you as the portion sizes are big) all for the price of 1 breakfast at the Belfry. Don’t worry about parking, you can park you car in an adjacent road opposite the cafe. It’s a banging breakfast and great value for money. You won’t be disappointed.

Great fella , Not to keen on the sausages , but that’s only my personal preference No reflection on the food Always cooks a little something for my dog Great friendly place , Well priced and lovely coffee

We are Stockport County fans on the way to Swindon for the match. Read a review on Trip Advisor and thought we would give it a go. Small place, fantastic value, a great breakfast, very reasonable price for a small breakfast with tea and thick lovely toast. The staff were very nice and although busy time with each customer.

Dropped in on the back of a previous Trip Advisor review and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Simple surroundings and fantastic food 👍🏻

Had loads of sarnies from here and a few full breakfasts. Always friendly staff, nice and clean and the food is amazing. Easy to grab some food whilst dropping into the builders merchants opposite too. Spot on Dave, keep up the good work 👏

Big Daves Brekkies are AMAZING... We only get to sample it say once a month but omg. Best small Cafe we know and we know a few. Dave and his Wife are so nice.

Dog friendly cafe, run by friendly couple. Breakfast very reasonably priced. Food nice, with lovely fresh bread! Our little dog was given a sausage - nice gesture. Will definitely pop by again when in the area.

Absolutely top notch breakfast and the most friendly people- wish there was a bigDave’s near us! Freshly cooked and huge portions, we are big eaters and it was big for us. Would recommend to stop off if you are passing.

Wow! We were on long journey and broke it by having 2 all day breakfasts at Big Dave's. Really friendly people and welcoming and the food was excellent. Clean and cosy cafe and the portions are huge and very good value. Best full English I've ever had in a cafe! Medium breakfast was the size and price of a large breakfast anywhere else, and delicious. Love the haggis! Large breakfast - enormous!! Definitely return and recommend. Thankyou guys!

Got a very warm welcome. Very kind people that couldn't do enough. Ordered some breakfasts which we swapped and added some things, not a problem for them. The food was amazing for the price and so delicious. Very homey food and LOVE the slogan if never trust a fat chef. Will 100% be going there again!!

First time visiting and would return in an instant. We were passing by and popped in for a breakfast with our little sausage dog. The chef plated up a sausage for our pooch whilst we ate our delicious breakfast. All the staff were lovely and food was fantastic.

Enjoyed a double decker sandwich with fresh crusty bread at lunchtime, I felt welcome and the cafe looked clean. Nice to have daily newspapers to read.

Dave and Karen do an absolutely amazing job, we took the boys for breakfast, we are a little fussy but they catered to our needs with no problem at all. The cafe is absolutely spotless, the food is amazing we throughly enjoyed it and we will be going back. They are amazing people who are so friendly.

As a former truck driver Dave knows exactly what people want and he provides it in abundance in this little cafe.The cafe itself is very small but spotlessly clean and the food is not for the faint hearted.If you're not hungry don't go to Dave's as the portions are VERY generous

Went in today for a sausage, egg and hash brown sandwich and was not disappointed, this was only my second time visiting big dave's for food and ill definitely be going a third time, -- QUICK, CHEAP, FILLING, CLEAN,FRIENDLY--

Difficult place to avoid when sorting out the Saturday jobs . Been tempted many a time and never been disappointed. Always well cooked and good value

Pop in to big Dave’s today for breakfast and I must say how lovely and clean it was and the breakfast was delicious good quality bacon and very filling best I have had for a long time highly recommend maybe a small place but worth a wait for a table.be back tomorrow

Called in this morning on our way to Bath,wife had small breakfast,I had the medium,both were really nice, will definitely return 😀

Breakfasts were massive and at a really good price! Tasted amazing. You walk in think it’s small and a bit dingy but the food is that good you really don’t care where you’re sat. My only downfall was the fact they put a little to much pepper on the food. But that was it!

Lovely breakfasts, i recommend the big daves special.staff are always chatty and very friendly. Never had a bad breakfast.

Big Dave's brekkies are fab. As a Scot, it's a rare treat to get haggis on my breakfast. It's a small cafe with limited seating but it's definitely worth waiting for a seat to become available. Or just get a takeaway. You won't be disappointed!

Had a breakfast tray to take away. Good tasty food but not Bromsgrove’s cheapest. Very homely type food. A lot was cooked fresh to order and easy parking around the back / down the side.

Popped in for some lunch and didn’t regret the choice. Huge portion, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended

Big daves cafe is the most amazing place to eat. I am fussy with how i have my eggs and dave will always listen, mandy is so friendly and welcoming!

I first came across big daves café via facebook and I never regretted it since the food is always nice n hot and fresh and you get a lot for your money the great thing is they deliver and I know the fact that with me not being able to get out the house much due to mobility problems I find it a blessing knowing if I want a nice full English I know that they will deliver it me keep up the good work a satisfied customer :)

No nonsense great breakfasts. Clean and friendly cafe. excellent value, very busy...nuff said. Not so big Dave (these days) provides an excellent breakfast in a friendly manner. once you've been you will surely return.

Me and my partner have just been to Big Daves cafe, he had the omelette which was as big as the plate!! And I had the full English breakfast which again was VERY generous on the portion size to say the least!!! We have ate from many cafes around Birmingham, but this was our first time in bromsgrove and I have got to say we will be coming back that’s for sure! From reading the reviews we was a little unsure on whether to eat from here, due to the amount of time we would have had to wait for our breakfast, however our breakfast was served to us within 10 minutes, which is very reasonable when everything is cooked fresh. Massive recommendation from us!!!!

Over the moon with the customer service and the portion sizes are well worth the price would recommend to anyone

Nice food, freshly prepared to order, and a friendly service. Parking spaces round the back. Much better than your average.

Dave's company motto is 'Never trust a skinny cook' all I can say is he's a big guy and he does a fantastic breakfast. Look forward to returning soon

we stopped here en route to cadbury world. it's not the most inspiring place from the outside (sorry) but the good was great. a proper big breakfast with the best ever hash browns. we had 2 large breakfasts and shared with the kids. was very well priced. the owners were so friendly and nice and made such a fuss over my tired and grumpy children. of I was ever in the area I would set go back. it's in the top 3 best ever breakfasts.

Sat in bag daves absolutely stuffed after a truly amazing sarnie. Best sarnies around. Cannot fault the place. Excellent service. Good atmosphere and cracking food

Recientemente apareció con la familia para una alimentación rápida. Buena comida honesta, tamaños y buena parte todo a un precio estupendo. Big Dave y Karen era genial con los niños e incluso puede ofrecer a la mujer un adelgazamiento amable mundo frituras (la esposa en el pedido). Qué tal entonces? ! Aparcamiento también disponibles sin costo extra. No sé por qué no he estado antes, pero sin duda volveremos para otra tortilla de desayuno. Smash que Dave y saludos para el grub!

Mi hijo y yo un salto después de visitar el diy en la calle, la comida estaba bien y el personal ocupado, pero todavía tenía tiempo para reír y broma, justo lo que quieres para un buen desayuno ;-)).

Fuimos por un sándwich que era apresurado y mesa sucia.

La comida estaba cocinada a la perfección, sin grasa, sin grasas. Los propietarios son amables. Que volveré pronto. Sin duda recomiendo el desayuno de tamaño.

We first started going whilst I was pregnant with my second baby, she is now three months old and we are firm regulars for our weekend breakie (sometimes in the week too )!! Food is second to none.. And everyone working there makes you feel so welcome. Can't believe there's any other rating than 5 to be honest!!

My wife, myself and our two little girls popped in for breakfast. We were greeted with a friendly smile and Big Dave was happy to customise the menu for the kids. Breakfast was top quality and my youngest loved it that he drew a butterfly on the plate and placed the food in that shape! We will be back.

Love Fry ups, but no fan of deep fried sausages. Everything else was slimy greasy fatty as well. Crusty bread? No it wasn't. Not for me.

Fancied trying somewhere new, was very impressed we had a big Dave breakfast which was lovely and my other half had a. Breakfast omelette which she really enjoyed. Would recommend, from what they was saying Saturday's are incredibly busy so take that into consideration

The best cafe in Bromsgrove! Vast menu & cooked fresh from scratch to your liking, with high quality ingredients! This Combined with the Friendliness & most accommodating staff, adds to the relaxed ambience! Highly recommended! I won't be going anywhere else!

A proper cafe serving proper breakfasts for normal people no frills or spills just well cooked food for the hungry ....... Me and my 91 year old grandad enjoy our big daves breakfast ...

Visited 3 or 4 times just to see if the food was consistantly good before giving it a review and i wasnt disappointed every time the food was excellent . Perfectly cooked and hot very busy place and right next to the main road well done big dave keep up the good food

Travel from Doncaster to visit big dave's cafe on our way to Cheltenham racecourse, be visiting again March 15th this year, awesome breakfast we are bringing a big dave's virgin with us this time, he loves his snap and he won't be disappointed

Been in Big Dave's only a couple of times, most recently a couple of days ago! Each time I get a belly buster of a sandwich, doesn't half fill you up! Lovely people there, always put themselves out to the customers wants! Will definitely pop in again soon!

These people have so little idea about food it's as well the majority of the people who have reviewed it don't. UHT milk cheap condiments say no more.

We use BIG daves for work as they deliver, good sandwich and liked by every1. Always fresh & deffo a good belly full of food for the money.

In my experience, If you have a hangover....you go here to get back in the game and try to remember what the hell happened last night. Great food - does what it says on the tin.

Took time to have an indulgent bacon and egg sandwich and a cup of tea whilst my car was in the garage. Staff were welcoming and cafe was small but nice and bright and very clean .Real crusty bakery bread and good quality bacon and egg at a very reasonable price. left feeling very pleased with my visit.

Visited here last week with my family for breakfast as I had heard a lot about big daves cafe from guys at work and even heard about it on holiday in Spain !!!!!!!!!!!!!Well I wasn't disappointed food is smashing,owners are great fun although busy but even had time to make a smiley face out of sausages for my small daughter. 5 breakfasts with teas or coffees £18 ..,. Brilliant!!!!!

I've been eating at big Dave's since they opened, haven't ever regretted ordering my food from there and have always felt welcomed and happy walking in and sitting down to eat. with a relaxed atmosphere and great conversation with Dave and his family (when they are not full to the brim with customers and orders) i have to say without a shadow of a doubt that i love big Dave's cafe, cant find a better sandwich around!

Came here with my family whilst passing through bromsgrove. We're made instantly welcome by the staff who were very busy but still had time to make us raise a smile. We ordered our food and variations to the menu can be made which was great as we have a fussy one, fat taken off the bacon for our little one and eggs made perfect for me as I'm very particular about eggs lol. Yes there was a short wait but it was a Saturday and it was extremely busy but I expect it was busy for a reason!!!!! but OMG wasn't it worth it, it was absolutely beautiful and the amount you get for the money is astonishing I really can't believe people have gave this place anything less than 4 stars in the reviews. 5 star from us guys can't wait for our return

I'm a regular visited here, normally grabbing a bacon and sausage to go! I found myself craving a full English and couldn't think of a better place! The big Daves brekkie was beautiful and had a chat with the staff who'll always try to accommodate your needs.. In fact all this talk.. Guess where I'm off to now!! :-)

Small but good, quick service and very competitive pricing, Run by a correctly shaped cook, (not looking half starved) The place is clean, warm and friendly what more do you want

Absolutely fantastic friendly service and the food was perfect, very large portions and all dry fried, good to be able to see your food being cooked and given the size of the portions it is very good value for money, will be using again

This is a great cafe, good food and the wait is short, I come in every weekend and the the food is cooked to perfection. Brilliant atmosphere and they keep the cafe a very clean place to eat. Owners are always in and are up for a good laugh, the delivery is quick and the food is warm when it has been delivered. The prices are fair and you get a lot of food for what you pay for, all the food is great quality and tastes great. Good place for breakfast and lunch, I would recommend it. 5 star

Lovely local café serving up freshly cooked food, even better its a small family run business, which caters to all needs. If your on a diet they can dry fry things, but if like me you like a proper fried English breakfast, you won't come home disappointed, all is cooked to perfection and presented with a smile. I can't fault the place!

A good cup of tea huge choice and variation of sandwiches to choose from but the bacon on crusty bread is superb friendly staff will go again

we use big dave,s café most Thursdays mornings and meet up with friend's for breakfast food is cooked to taste you can have what you want not just the menu welcoming staff never had a problem and displays food rating sign to see

We have visited Big Dave many times since we moved to the area, amazing breakfast sandwiches on big crusty bread with loads of filling. Good price and very friendly people. We will be back and back again!
