Big Chicken (hmc approved) in Birmingham

My order was cancelled despite payment having been made. Nobody can be reached by phone and I have not received a reply to my emails either. When I visited the store in person, I was assured that the amount would be refunded, but to date I have not received a refund. I don't understand why an amount is debited if the order cannot be fulfilled. According to the employee, the situation was overloaded, but why is it cancelled and still charged as if I had ordered? I will hand over all the relevant documents to my solicitor so that he can look into the matter. An absolute outrage! Never again!

Terrible service. I ordered pizzas and sides, and initially, our order was accepted, with the payment taken from our account. After waiting for two hours, we still hadn't received our order, and when we checked, it showed that the order had been cancelled. We called the restaurant, and the girl who answered said she was too busy to help and hung up, telling us to call back in an hour. We never received our pizza, and we haven't gotten our money back either. Very disappointing experience. One bad review may not affect them, but I would never recommend ordering delivery from them.

I would leave a 0 if I could. Very bad customer service. Staff are very rude and stubborn. Don’t cater to customers needs. Very stingy with sauces. I do not recommend one bit. Stay away if you can.

No doubt food is very tasty and they are very very Grill is close to the Grill made down real coal and it’s really tasty but service is very poor and condition of tables and seats is not clean if they improve their service their food is very good

Food was average at best, service was painfully slow. We did Not have anywhere to sit initially as all the tables were covered in filth and left over food from previous customers. I had to clear away rubbish just so my family can sit down. Will not visit again.

I WAS WAITING FOR 30 MINUTES FOR A CHICKEN BURGER MEAL AND A PANINI AND WHEN I ASKED THEM HOW LONG LEFT SHE SAID 20 MORE MINUTES.NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE !!!!!!!

The food was sooo bad it took like 25mins for the food to come and the chicken was so soggy and it did not taste good but the chips were a bit better I do not recommend you going there

Had a chicken fillet burger and 5 strips meal so 2 meals with drinks for £12 food was fresh and absolutley banging couldnt fault it prob best chicken ive had made kfc and all other chicken places look stupid

Went in there and asked if they do barbecue wings because i was craving some and didn’t want fried chicken, they said they did so ordered a meal to eat in, and when it was served the guy gave me fried wings(niblets) over drenched in barbecue sauce. When i complained and sed “i asked for barbecue wings, these are not barbecue wings, They are fried niblets covered in sauce” the guy wouldn’t accept he was wrong. Apparently what i wanted are called peri peri wings. One thing for sure was what i was given were not barbecue wings.

I only order from Big chicken because it's convenient for me and son loves their panini but in all honesty I prefer to not order from there. their prices are extortionate and absolutely unaffordable and they can never get the fries right they are always over cooked and hard and we can hardly chew on them. I usually end up leaving them or throwing them away. I write a note everything on my order about keeping them soft but goes to deaf ears and eyes

Big Chicken is always great, has never failed me. Always quick and great food.

The driver was a bit of a nightmare when he was trying to locate the property even asked me if I was sure I lived at my address. The fried chicken was a bit spicy which I didn’t realise it would be, and the chips had a weird texture to it. The pizza was no better, the doll was flavourless as was the pizza itself and the meat topping could not be tasted. It was hard to tell that the pizza was a chicken pizza or a donna mix pizza ://

Order a burger with chesse ONLY but got mayo in it which my son is does not like. Did not complain as I was able to eat it. had to got to a local place

We enjoyed the pizzas. I wouldn’t order the cod fish and chips again. The chips are not chips just fatter frozen packet fries. The cod fish is very small for the price you’re paying.

In time delivery how ever the pizza were on such thin base u wouldn’t know it was here. Ordered here lots of times and never had an issue . Won’t be ordering pizzas again it was like it was made on a thin wrap

Terrible food. The quality has gone too down despite increased prices. All the food were stone cold and tasteless. No salad in burgers and the grill chicken was burnt. Peri peri chicken was smelling bad and rotten with not much chicken and broken bones. Pizza were also stone cold and the toppings were burnt with very less cheese. Wasted £32 for a terrible experience. Whole family left food and gone in bins. Never going to order again.

Delivery driver was polite. My young son opened the door as I was praying and driver was nice to him as he took food and gave the cash.

Had to call twice as delivery was late and The app said it was delivered . Once food arrived it was nice as always

Chicken fillet burger big size fillet nicely done crispy coating can't fault burger fries were okay pink special mayo dip banging good unfortunately for eating area very dirty not clean left over food left on table rubbish on floor toilet like something out a war zone toilet seat broken and sink basement dirty wasn't clean just mess recommend the burger not about sure eating in place definitely needs good clean desi area build up area but people still deserve to seat in clean environment places list as HMC if I pop down take burger with me come on big chicken get act together big clean up needed

i used to regularly get their pizza and loved it, but their quality has dropped so unbelievably low that i wouldn’t even glance at the menu anymore. pizza is just ridiculously thin with prices going up, there’s other better local alternatives which you absolutely choose

Not sure if the management has changed recently but the people currently in charge are a bunch of wankers.

Previously this restaurant was run by professionals but now there are staff who don't know how to do their job, they were laughing at customers and tried to not give food and when called out they gave it late and cold. The place was also dirty and some of the food was very oily and not cooked properly, only coming back when the old staff return.

We ordered chicken and chips. The guy at the counter said 15 minutes for the chicken. 25 minutes later the chicken was still not ready. I went to the counter and was told 3 minutes more, which took another 7-8 minutes. I had ordered a takeaway full chicken (peri) and 2 large chips. Again when i went to ask the guy said 3 more minutes, although they had 30 minutes to prepare the takeaway order whilst we waited forcthe eat in order. Disgusting customer service. Never go there again.

iv ordered my food at 1 delivery time was between 1 40 to 2:10 and I got my food 3 o clock! really disappointed it's ridiculous my son was soo hungry and I was keep saying to him it's coming coming I would never order from big chicken again......

My kids used to like big chicken when the food used to be really good,now it’s just tasteless and very dry..the prices are ridiculous you would pay less in London for food this is some dirty chicken shop on the corner of Stratford road they never clean it the seating area is filthy there’s food and drinks spilled all over the chairs,I’m surprised it hasn’t been shut down..the staff are very rude they have no manners at all.

This food I had ordered was Cod fish and chips..... I was sent masala fish and fries..... if this restaurant cannot provide Cod fish and chips then they shouldn't have it down in their menu and shouldn't charge as if that's what they're selling.

Had to change my review, ordered on Deliveroo where it clearly says buy 1 get 1 free on medium pizzas. I only got 1 and after calling them they were insistant that I was wrong and that I was basically blind. I was looking at it on Deliveroo whilst on the phone. Poor customer service.

Pizza base was very thin on both overall food was above average I had to wait extra approximately 15 to 20 minutes even though I ordered the takeaway 25 before collection.

I used to love pizzas from here and always gave 5 ⭐️ reviews. However the pizzas are not up to standard anymore, the taste of the Bombay bad isnt nice anymore and I’ve noticed that you put fewer ingredients on them. The amount of fries given is an absolute joke and it’s really put me off ordering from here again.

The pizza wasn’t nice at all too much tomato sauce and less cheese it was flavourless.

I absolutely love their chickens wings. Big juicy and flavoursome - I would most definitely give them a 5 star for just their wings alone. Odd times i have been given mini burnt ones but when communicated they sorted it. However i am not going to be buying from them again for they have not stopped the purchase of pepsi a great boycott product. When our Muslim brothers and sisters are being butchered. What barakah are these products going to bring to your buisness. Until they boycott im done. When they boycott i will return for their delicious wings.

First let me start with the 5 star hygiene rating, how did these guys get the 5 star hygiene rating the table and seating area was greasy, and the toilets were disgusting 🤢 however the grilled chicken burgers and chips we ordered were cooked to order and had were very nice.

Food was nice and hot they were generous with the free dips and pizza was tasty with plenty of topping

Very friendly and warm welcoming working staff … food is 10/10 and price is very reasonable too. Guys make sure you pay them a visit for good quality food

We are regular customers of Big Chicken and used to do take out. Every since we've started doing delivery our food is always cold and we don't live that far from the shop. They keep on getting our order wrong and just on Saturday one of our burger was delivered half eaten. Totally disgusting. When we rang back we got another burger but my wife couldn't eat with us. She had to wait until the other burger came Not very good, I've totally lost faith in Big chicken and their food. I won't be going back, as every week my order is wrong so it just causes a lot of stress for my family.

From personal experience the quality and taste of the food tastes much better when collecting otherwise the standard is below par, cold, tasteless, stale when ordering and tastes nothing like the collection order. Very unreasonable charge for fish and chips- small portions, packet chips, not even fresh and tiny fish- selling for £9! Can't justify that at all.

Food was marked as delivered and wasn't. I called store and they said they had misplaced order and it will arrive in 20 minutes. It has arrived cold and completely wrong we ordered the chicken and vegetable options and have received a margarita and some type of meat option not chicken. Pizza is too cold to eat.

So disappointed. I ordered a family bucket of fried chicken and despite sitting in to eat it, it was cold and obviously not freshly made! Now I'm suffering with really bad gastrointestinal pains!

Ordered a steak burger meal and garlic bread. The mayonnaise in the burger was quite shocking. The mayo looked off as if it was expired or had been left outside for too long. I could legit scrape the mayo off in one piece. Had to use my own mayonnaise. Also, the garlic bread was cold and not as soft as it should’ve been. Again, as if it had been just left on the side. Haven’t ordered from here in a while & probably won’t again :/

Also the Cajun chicken pizza with pineapple was dry, chicken piece were dry, burnt and rubbery.

I ordered online and when later when I called to check the status of the order they refused that they haven’t received any such order. My order number was BC- 01122024 - 835204. They simply refused of such order and I know they received it and was canceled for some reason which they didn’t want to update me. Don’t place online orders otherwise you will be embarrassed in front of your guests when you’re not able to get the food.

This was our go to place for Peri Peri chicken, but last two orders was a disappointment. The price has increased yet the quality has dropped. Chicken is dry and lacks any gravy, they’ve also dropped the small amount of salad that came with the chicken. For a 1/4 piece chicken a thigh piece is portrayed in the menu yet they gave a dry, gravyless breast piece and no salad. I guess I’m done with Big Chicken as ive also noticed a quality drop in their pizzas too which is a shame as I use to order f

Tried this place for the first time in December 2023. Ordered chicken zinger burgers and half pounder. Good quality food, clean place. Suitable for families with good seating.

Ordered two pizzas, were like rubber, both dough and topping were old, not fit for human consumption. Won't be ordering again and will tell family and friends not to order from them as this happened before and I thought it may be a one off but now it seems this is normal. Bye bye big chicken
