Biddulph Fish Bar in Staffordshire Moorlands

Miserable staff the older woman is nasty and is always miserable every time in- also seen them laughing at disabled people

Thought I'd give it a go instead of other chippies in biddulph but I was very disappointed. Ordered at 4.45pm and decided on fish but it was dry, cold and i would say it was definitely a leftover from dinner time. Sorry I eont be going back.

Not a frequent chip-shop user, but can compare and contrast, having had the same meal (steak pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy) at a chippy near Stone Staffs 4 days ago, and here today. Today's was better quality, especially the meat in the pie. There were more (and better) chips, plus the price was less! The other members of my party were equally happy. Recommended!

I go every Thursday after work. Large cod and chips - enough for 2 of us. Very good value. Staff always very friendly. Thoroughly recommended.

Ask for a fish bar special you will not be disappointed. Their medium fish is as large as other shops large and bursts out of the tray at both edges!

Have been using this chippy ever since it opened. Staff are always friendly, service is usually fast, portions are generous.

Nice food but very over priced. Typical high street chip shop. If you want fish and chips you don't get much change from a tenner. There is however good variety and there is some box meals that are of good value.

Our favourite chip shop, the fish are lovely and big, sometimes over facing. We ordered one breaded and one battered fish, a portion of chips and large curry sauce. All excellent as usual, we had to thrown the chips, one portion was too much for the 2 of us. Would purchase again, in a heartbeat.

we had a quick lunch there and it was ok but the staff weren't very welcoming and it took a long time to make the fish and nuggets, I would recommend it if in a rush (or starving)

I know my opening line seems extreme but it is the best chippy that I have been to. Never had bad food in years over going there.

We had spent the afternoon enjoying several of the local pubs and needed a good carb fix. This chippy was open and seemed quite busy which is always a good sign. Probably the nicest fish and chips I've had in a long time not greasy, lovely golden batter and just the right amount of salt and vinegar. Happy with this visit

We have recently moved back to the area after 10 years. I was over the moon to see that Biddulph Fish Bar is still there and to top the lot is still run by the same person. It says a lot for a business these days if it can stay running for that long. As ever the food was mouth wateringly gorgeous, freshly cooked and not greasy as most chippys seem to be! Very friendly staff, massive portions, great value for money and the place (pardon the pun) was spotlessly clean. Roll on Friday!!

Quick Chip shop. This is our main place to get a quick meal every time we are in town. We'll eat here several times over the visit. Several things to choose from including beef pies and scampi.

Great chippy with great fish proper flakey cod and a wide range of products and friendly staff and a very pleasant owner

Always clean and often very busy, this is a great chippy! The service is fast and efficient and offers great value as the portion sizes are very generous.They do a variety of items as well as "meal deals". Highly recommended.

Amazing fish and chip shop. I moved to the area three years ago and couldn't believe how good value it was. Very good portions, offers on all the time. Staff extremely friendly. Always queuing out the door. Highly recommend if your in the area I made the mistake of getting a large fish as know they are usually tiny at others places, it was like a whale very good value.

I feel lucky to have such a good fish & chip shop in my local area. I travel on business all over the country and have experienced many, but this is the traditional takeaway I would like to keep in my back pocket and take with me. When I'm home I don't have that many takeaways but when I get that craving for a donner kebab I'm straight down to the Biddulph Fish Bar. Can't say fairer than that!

Wonderful fish, huge portions, friendly staff, clean and tidy, if your hungry this is the place to go, crunchy batter and fish that is bigger than your plate!! great stuff

First class traditional fish and chips, people queuing out of the door. Moved to Biddulph recently now after decades doing without, back having "chippy teas". Brilliant.
