Bianco 43 - Blackheath in Greenwich

Wow what a beautiful little restaurant ❤️ No tables available but was assured if we came back in 15 mins one would be available and it was saved for us! I had a 4 cheese pizza and it was proppppppa cheesy!! All staff are lovely, great background music and stefano was a lovely host! Happy new year and Thankyou for looking after us!! Ps we were not rushed at all which is a great trait to have, staff are happy and relaxed x

I often order pizza and occasionally sides and starters. The food is delicious and one of the few places where you can get proper sourdough pizza in the Blackheath , Kidbrooke area.

I ordered the lasagna and although it was tasty, was about a quarter of the portion I expected. I left the restaurant hungry. I could have easily eaten 4 of them.

Like a staff canteen, staff did not have a clue, no door handle, Had difficulty just trying to get in , very plain. We left without eating.

The charge sheet: 1. That it being a warm Friday evening in August you did negligently fail to stock both Rose wine and draught lager, knowing these to be drinks particularly popular at this time. 2. That you failed to train waitresses to use a corkscrew, leaving her to fumble for several minutes before I as a frustrated customer had to open the bottle myself. 3. That you served salad leaves, approximately 10% of which were mushy or decomposed. 4. That your pizzas were underdone and doughy, I FIND YOU GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS -

Over the last couple of years I usually place an order and collect for the family. Pretty good quality and its a nice venue to spend a few minutes waiting with a beer.

Very friendly staff and nice place to eat

Went to the Greenwich branch this evening, only to be served frozen lasagne, when I say frozen it was solid frozen meatballs. Also since when does lasagne have meat balls in it. The staff didn’t even seem surprised, I was totally disgusted, over rated and looked dirty inside. Be warned never go there, save your money.

Haven’t been for a while, and had forgotten how good this place is. Has a lovely rustic feel, really family friendly, staff were attentive. Food is good, unfortunately I have to be gluten free so can’t sample the pizzas- but they smell and look again, and everything polished them off! Good food in a relaxed setting what’s not to like!

I like the rustic interiors of this restaurant, very nice. The service from the staff is very good but the athmospere of the place is rather flat, I would aspect to have a nice italian/english music playing while enjoying our meals. Bianco is more expensive in comparison of other pizza places in the area and the pizza is not crispy but rather saggy. Would I be back? Not sure

Frequently order Pizza for collection and occasionally sit in. Quality and service is always good and make me want to come back. Thoroughly recommended.

Family meal for 3 before a concert. Excellent pizza - fabulous dough (don’t be put off by what looks like a large crust - it’s delicious), great toppings including the buffalo mozzarella. Service great even if the restaurant was quiet at the time. We will be back and certainly recommend to others

Place is located in the heart of Blackheath, nice, warm and friendly place. We are italian so we can confirm that the food is a proper italian food, with a lot of taste! We will definitely come back!!!!

We weren't impressed with our meals here. The pizzas were mainly crust and very little topping, and the kids meals are extortionately overpriced. Very disappointing.

The food was insanely good hear. Had the garlic bread which had delicious notes of garlic and rosemary. And the calzone was so delicious. Portion sizes were also good. Staff were lovely and were good at being on top of serving but also giving you space. Overall a really nice ambience in the restaurant. I'll be back again.

We went there for lunch with two kids. The kids menu no longer includes chicken nuggets and chips. It is pasta and pizza only. The value of the kids menu is not great. It is £6.95 for a main. The desert, drink, starter, etc. is extra. At £2.90 for a juice and another £2.90 for desert + service your kids meal is going to cost you £13+ when I compare this to other places in the area it is over priced for kids. I used to not mind paying it as they had the babysitting service, which made it worth paying extra, obviously COVID has taken this away. From an adults perspective the prices are as expected and the pizza and pasta was good. We ordered the fritte pesca and this was over priced and average at best. It tasted like frozen seafood and it was fried a bit hard, making it very very chewy.

Always love it here. Friendly staff, good food and a nice atmosphere. Great for kids.

Bianco 43 is absolutely fantastic - I ordered the calzone, which is by far one if not the best I have eaten in London in a very long time - The staff were incredibly helpful, deliveroo messed up the delivery, so they kindly bought me a freshly made calzone and delivered it to me along with the missing order of tiramisu (the size of a small coffee table) within 10 minutes - the manager hand delivered it with a shining handsome smile and a sincere apology - I will definitely visit when I am feeling better - I will definitely order from you again Thank you for your kindness and care- 10/10 not 5/5 - What a difference from the service we got from Pizza Express last week -

Let’s support out local high street independents! Quality authentic pizzas, fresh and really delicious! We purchased the calzone and a personalised pizza which were really tasty! Staff are friendly, helpful and provide excellent customer service. Highly recommend this place, let’s give them our support!

I keep coming back to this restaurant, as the staff is always super friendly and the ambiance in the restaurant is cosy and welcoming (even when they are super busy). They have a wide selection of sourdough pizzas - vegetarian and classic, which they prepare in the stone oven. I try to taste a different one every time, but my favourite is pizza Sicilliana with a glass of Montepuciano red wine - my recommend.

Pretty mediocre. Far too salty sea food linguine with not very much linguine! My friend had a fairly indifferent pizza. A spacious airy restaurant & pleasant staff but won't be returning.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and was about half empty - our order was "lost" and no apology really given despite needing to wait for 50 minutes for our pizzas to arrive and seeing every other party who came in after us being served before us. Food itself was ok, my pizza (quattro formaggi) was a bit underbaked and the cheeses more of a liquid than a solid but I am told the ham and mushroom pizza and lasagne my friends ordered was nice. It is understandable to have ordering issues when the restaurant is packed, but in an empty room to simply forget an order and not apologise for this is simply not acceptable.

Wonderful local Italian restaurant. Food is classy and unfussy, with really welcoming and friendly staff. Will definitely return.

I'm pretty sure they are serving microwave food. My dad's starter (meatballs) was cold and his lasagne came out cold TWICE! Very basic quality food for high price. Don't do it to yourself

Nice place, nice service although it was a later in the evening booking and we tried to order desert and was told the kitchen was closed - I would have expected someone to have told us that it was closing at a certain time giving us a chance to order. Overall though a nice restaurant

Very much not a chain experience although they do have a twin in Greenwich. Wonderful pizzas and pasta that are totally the Southern Italian experience. Drinks are also very good - be they Italian wine or beer plus cocktails.

Amazing pizza. The restaurant serves one of the most delicious pizza and Italian food in London. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, even in their busiest period the overall service and food is still impeccable. Highly recommended.

Firstly we were impressed by the welcome we received, the restaurant was busy due to the eat out to help out scheme but we weren't made to wait and we were seated with drinks promptly.We liked that this restaurant is taking the current situation seriously, all staff were wearing masks and hand sanitiser was available for us to use.We ordered a starter of calamari and fried courgette which was delicious and a very generous portion for a starter. Mains were one pizza capricciosa and one seafood linguine. The pizza was very very good. The pizza dough is done in the napolitan style and done very well, the toppings were fresh and extremely tasty. The linguine was also spot on with a generous amount of seafood and a rich flavoursome sauce.Desert didn't disappoint either, mint flavoured panna cotta which was a first for us and really hit the spot and a tiramisu which was equally delicious.The service we received throughout the evening was supurb. Polite, attentive and importantly always with a smile.We'll definitely be coming back here and keen to try the other branches also.Many thanks for a fantastic evening.

Had a great meal in there with a special friend. Food was fantastic and the service was 10/10 . And they have it really well worked out during this COVID problem. Would recommend this place 100%

We give anyone the benefit of the doubt, especially in these times, but wasn’t a good experience here. We queued for 10 mins outside even though we had a booking (no issues, benefit of the doubt). Then we waited 20 mins to order drinks. We then asked for water 3 times (Ignored the first 2 times is just irritating). We had 1 starter (sautéed mussels and clams) pretty poor, flavourless and about a third of them closed. We then had to ask for a fork to eat our main meal twice (not the end of the world, but you just want to eat when your meal comes and becomes frustrating when your first request is ignored) Pizza was pretty good, rigatoni was fine, wine was very good. Cheesecake was warm. Then asking for the bill, ask for the card machine twice just to get out.(Note: when we went in it was busy, towards the end there were approx 5 tables filled so no excuse) The food is ok here and if the service was on point you would probably enjoy it, but they miss the basics that will p%ss you off quite quickly.

Restaurant is very nice and food lovely so we thought we had made a great choice. The service was very mediocre..we were only offered drinks once and no dessert menu etc. at any time. The waiter tried to take my plate before I had finished. We had water glasses but no water!We will try a different branch however as we did enjoy the main.

Ingredients used are of a very bad quality and the pizza was undercooked. Service was not exactly great. Manager (I think, guy at the entrance till) did not really want to be there. Kitchen chef was not wearing mask or gloves. Never again.

Service was VERY slow - I think they kept forgetting us. Tinned mushrooms on the pizza, garlic bread which was just toast with a bit of oil drizzled (couldn't taste the garlic) and a rocket salad which looked tired. I know we are in exceptional times but I'm not sure things should be that bad!

After the lock-down gap, it was great to return to Bianco 43!I booked in advance, as recommended. The tables are well spaced, and I was pleased to see that the staff had PPE.Our friendly server recognised our group and looked after us very well.We all enjoyed our meals.After months of home cooked pasta, the 'real thing' tasted so much better!The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We shall definitely return soon.

I definitely recommend this place. I am quite used to Italian food and I can say this is the best one in the area. The pizza is a must-try but do not miss the great starters too. Particularly, I recommend the deep fried dough balls.

Encontré este agradable restaurante italiano, ubicado en el corazón del pueblo de Blackheath, en 2018 el año pasado y me enamoré desde entonces. Gran calidad de la comida (italiano real) ambiente agradable y personal amable. La pizza es algo que debes probar. No es el más barato, pero definitivamente vale la pena el precio.

Popped in for dinner with husband tonight (after weekend of chores so wanted a treat). As usual the service was very friendly, drinks order taken straight away, and food order taken soon after. We only wanted a main course and ordered my usual vegi pizza and a main mixed salad, we split them, both utterly delicious in fact the salad was better than the last time with lovely warm slices of aubergine and warm potatoes slices. Including a tip and three small beers it was less than 40 pounds, and the lovely waitress gave us a liquor on the house which was very kind.

Best pizza in South East London. Great menu choices & delicious sourdough pizza. At the weekend there is a small play area & free babysitting service which our toddler enjoyed, will definitely make the most of that next time we visit!

Good food and service. The waitress took down the order wrong but as an apology did not charge us for one of the dishes and it didn't really take very long to come out anyway so we were happy. Good place.

¡Todo el mundo merece una segunda oportunidad! . . . Después de una comida muy decepcionante hace unos 3 años, he evitado Bianco 43, pero decidí espontáneamente (¡de repente comenzó a llover!) Intentarlo nuevamente. El servicio de almuerzo era muy tranquilo y nos sirvieron rápidamente. La joven camarera fue amable y conversó, haciéndonos sentir bienvenidos. Además del menú fijo de 2 o 3 platos (que es limitado) ese día se ofrecieron 4 pizzas adicionales y 3 platos principales adicionales, lo que resultó en una elección mucho más razonable.Teníamos la pizza Diovina y las tortollini con queso y espinacas. La pizza estaba genorosamente cubierta de salchicha picante, ¡llena de sabor, no solo de calor! ¡La pizza era lo suficientemente grande como para que casi la mitad volviera a casa para proporcionar una comida esa noche!La tortollini estaba muy sabrosa! Quizás 2 o 3 parcelas por debajo de una porción verdaderamente llena pero definitivamente vale la pena regresar.Definitivamente visitaremos Bianco 43 nuevamente. . . indulto, si no la redención!

Pizza was freshly made and really good, but Lasagne was half frozen.

Food really lovely and tasty and good portion sizes. Staff friendly, however service slow, we had to ask for drinks several times, re-orders of drinks were forgotten, the food took a while to come and then the pasta dish was forgotten an came out quite a bit after the pizzas. Very relaxed and laid back, but perhaps a little too much so. That said would recommend as food is good, just don’t go when your already very hungry!

Fantastic pizza, great parppadelle, delicious pollo and wonderful ravioli. A busy night - perhaps a little understaffed but they coped and were in good spirits. The pizzas are amazing.

Buzzy, friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and the chefs and waiting staff were all really cheery and helpful even though it was very busy. Pizza dough is delicious and there is a good range of pizza toppings. Only complaint is that it wasn't absolutely clear that my gourmet pizza was not tomato based but perhaps I need to read the menu more carefully! Good range of food and drinks for adults; children's drinks and desserts a bit limited. Would definitely come back.

When I booked the table, I put in the notes section online I was a gluten free vegan. I only could eat the salad and could not eat dessert. No one contacted me to tell me that my choices would be limited before I got there. Very poor service, waiters were more interested in chatting with each other rather than being attentive to customers.

We went on a Sunday afternoon to take advantage of the free babysitting service. We both had pizzas which were delicious and our daughter was quite pleased with her chicken nuggets and smiley chips. We were able to eat our food while our daughter played with the toys and was entertained by the babysitter. They are really good at bringing out the kids food first, which makes life easier. The kids can take a balloon with them when they leave. Cannot recommend enough if you want a relaxing Sunday lunch.
