We didn't know that this restaurant had changed hands. From the get go things did not seem smooth. My booking for 5 caused them some consternation and after a few minutes we were given a cobbled together table one which was taller than the others (at check-out I challenged them about the booking which I had on my phone - indeed it was in a scruffy book but the designated round table had been allocated to another group). Food was ok but service and customer interaction needs to be drastically improved - with a proper uniform and a smile. Not a good ambience and we have used this restaurant so many times in the past even when it was the Lion Inn with great experiences. I will have to think long and hard about returning - so sad.

This was such a shame as it used to be a warm and friendly restaurant under the previous management. We pre-booked on line and received confirmation that our booking was being looked at however, no confirmation received. On arrival the waiter did not seem too interested when we advised him that we had booking waiting on confirmation. Sat at the table and ordered drinks one was a bottle of water, drinks arrived and waiter removed bottle top from water and then flicked it across the table and thought it was funny. If the Staff are wearing white shirts please make sure they are white as they looked very grubby or wear aprons. Poppodoms arrived amazed by the price increase along with condiments which were insufficient and had to keep requesting for more with a puzzled look on the waiters face. Food was OK and warm but have had better. Such a shame as this used to be a great restaurant under previous management and will find it hard to return.

I really hope this is due to a change of management as this use to be our goto restaurant. Starting with the place itself, freezing cold, needs a paint job and a decent clean. Staff, way too busy for just 2 waiters, one of whom was no older than 15, and they need to be given aprons or something as one had food all over his shirt. Food, tasteless and the quality of the meat was awful, lamb in particular was like chewing a block of sawdust. Wife's meal was passable but not as good as before which is reason we use to go here. Bill, 70 quid for 2 mains a nann and 3 glasses of wine feels a bit steep for what is basically a run of the mill curry house. Charged nearly 6 quid for 4 poppadoms which we never asked for (lots of places they are Inc so we just assumed the same given they just appeared). 2 small glasses of house red and 1 white wine spritzer with lemonade that came in a small wine glass came to over 20 quid. Oh don't chill red wine, but then the room was that cold.... Didn't complain at the time as had already been unwell in the bathroom and just wanted to get home. The after 8 mint was OK, can't really screw that up though! Such a shame as use to be our favorite.

smell of toilets throughout the restaurant. A change of management and a change of staff has brought this previously wonderful restaurant down to an unacceptable level of cleanliness , Plus the staff are inefficient (a shambles) and rude. I asked for a breakdown of the bill (as is normal in restaurants, you see what you are paying for. I was told by young aggressive member of their staff to Read the Menu. Ladies toilets smelly, no hot water, no means of drying your hands as the blow dryer on the wall did not work and no hand towels available. the atmosphere is unwelcoming, and definitly anti female. food mediocre.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant. Full transparency the owners son (Bobby) is a workmate and he recommended we visit. Got to know Bobby on a volunteer day climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) raising money for Mental Health UK and Kenny (aka mountain goat) and Myself had promised Bobby we would get a group to come over and visit. You don’t invite 20+ of your work mates unless your confident the food is good and boy we were not disappointed. It’s a family run restaurant just outside Telford and cannot speak highly enough of the owners, the friendly welcome and most importantly the quality of the food. Many of us travelled the good hour from Chester and no one left disappointed or hungry! It has a real family friendly feel about the place. It’s got a great little bar to get drinks. We were on a bit of a timer with mini bus so it was poppadom’s all round and straight into the mains. Huge selection, I went for a personal favourite Poppadom’s, Lamb Dhansak, Pila rice, Chips and Peshwari Naan and Kenny has gone Poppadom's, Chicken Tikka main, jalfrezi sauce, chips, plain naan. Both meals absolutely spot on. A fantastic few hours in great company with wonderful hosts at the Bharat Indian restaurant. Highly recommended.

We visited as we had heard good things about this Indian restaurant however sadly it didn’t live up to expectations. It all started well. We were seated, drinks served and poppadoms served. It then seemed to take a very long time to be served our mains. Sadly when the food came it was not hot. The service was poor. Once served we didn’t see anyone again until our plates were cleared. We weren’t asked if we wanted any 2nd course or coffee. I had to go and find the waitress to ask for the bill and then had to seek her out to ask to pay! Shame cuz we really would have loved to have been blown away. It seems as if the takeaway part of their business is more important than those in the restaurant. Sorry but I can’t recommend as it was a very disappointing evening at top dollar

Amazing unctuous food. Every mouthful makes ur eyes roll in pleasure. Pricey food for an Indian but when you taste it you know why and you don’t mind. Popadom to start with mixture of lime pickle, lassi, homemade chilli, onions and coriander and mango chutney. Wife had chicken buhna and coriander naan. I had chicken tikka as a main

A converted pub in a sleepy village but an amazing curry enjoyed with friends and colleagues. Food and Service were excellent with a highly attentive host who gave suggestions on the menu to the undecided. Thoroughly recommend the short trip outside Telford for a meal.

First time visit in over 20 years - food and service were second to non. Would definitely go again. Chairs could do with an update, but that certainly didn’t affect the service and food we received.

Went for food with partner today at first we thought the food was taking time to come out but then we noticed the area managers in restaurant and they spoke to staff to ensure quicker response time to serving our food..I think that if the area managers weren't visiting then we qould still be waiting now. All in all food was nice...Thanks to Scott the Area Manager for helping us with our order process times

The orders are always wrong and we never get compensated for it. We've been going to this McDonald's for years and over the last year or so, it's gone downhill so much. Our recent order was missing 6 nuggets, ketchup, and straws for our drinks! The food is always cold and when I specifically asked for no mayo in my wrap, the sticker said 'no mayo', but the wrap had mayonnaise in it! And the McFlurry was half empty! The quality of the burgers is so poor and overall, the experience is so frustrating, especially when McDonald's is so expensive now. Even when we get a delivery order, items are always missing, the food is cold, or I've received someone else's order! Please do better guys.
