Just had a coffee,which was very nice and the staff were lovely

Booked online for afternoon tea 4 days before. No reply to that. Rang and spoke 3 days before, staff confirmed afternoon tea for 4. Arrived, table was reserved, but staff said they hadn't been told it was afternoon tea, refused to honour the booking, didn't offer alternatives. Poorly handled by young staff, quite ude and no apology offered, won't be returning which is a shame as we've had a lovely afternoon tea there in the past.

Booked via telephone for a belated mother's day afternoon tea 4 days before. Arrived to a reserved table, but the staff didn't know we had booked for afternoon tea. They refused to honour the booking, didn't offer an apology and were really abrupt in their approach. Such as shame as we've had afternoon tea there before and it was lovely. Will not be returning.

Lovely tea room, quality food, welcoming staff and a nice environment. Had the bacon and egg bap and had to have a cake as well. Not good for my diet, but worth the calories 😋😁

Visited the Tea Rooms for the 1st time today, had a fabulous afternoon tea with my Mum for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely.

Have visited on many occasions previously and has been lovely. We called today just for coffee and have to say there has definitely been a dip in quality. The Americanos we had were only half filled cup of coffee and luke warm at best and not worth £3.60 which is pricey. Disappointing

We were probably not the best of customers, having 3 very young children, 2 of whom tend to make their presence known. However they were very good with us. A very mixed breakfast was accomplished. One person requesting a variation on the menu.(Bacon eggs tomato mushroom.) For me the cheese oatcakes with onion, were very acceptable. All in all, a lovely time was had by a large family group. Basically it just worked. Incidentally we appreciated having proper British crockery (Copeland).

I have been here on two occasions now, both have been disappointing. The room is nicely decorated, there are good baby changing facilities and food is pleasant, though a touch expensive for what’s given. On the whole, has the potential to be really nice which is what makes this more disappointing and the reason for my review. From a customer service perspective I had the same girl serve me both times, she had dark hair and glasses. The first occasion she told me that there was a delay of 10 minutes for food and asked if we would be happy to wait this time. With it being a short period of course we said it’s fine. 40 minutes passed, there was no further acknowledgement of this and I had to approach staff myself to ask for an update. (Bear in mind that we were the only other table in there as well, aside from a separate larger party and table of 2). I had with me my baby daughter who was only months old and it was a really hot day and the place had no air con so it very uncomfortable to be in. I returned on a cooler day hopeful for an improved experienced. Again atmosphere wasn’t good because there were constant wasps flying around. No attempts made from staff to deal with these. I overheard one staff say they thought there was a wasps nest and they had left the front entrance open in the hope that they would go out. A pretty useless thing to do because if they can go out then they can also come in and with a wasp nest outside it’s inevitable that they will do. I asked the same girl on the counter if she could assist with the wasps and she said there was nothing she could do but offered me a fly swatter. I don’t think it should be the responsibility of the customer to have to do this. Finally I would like to add that I was unimpressed that at the end of the meal one of the other staff members who I had not previously spoken to (think she may have been from the kitchen, not sure) came over and put her hands in my pram and touched my baby. This is not something I like at all and it made me feel very uncomfortable.

Lovely betley tea room , never been before but will definitely be going again, good food very clean, nice friendly staff, very happy to recommend this beautiful tea room.

Lovely tea room , home made food is delicious,cakes are amazing, my only complaint is the price of a pot of Tea for two which is £7.20 .

Went in this morning and grabbed a bacon and cheese bap and some cake. One of the best bacon baps ever! Plenty of thick bacon and a good amount of cheese. The staff members were really nice and helpful. Thank you. 😊

Visited a few times, food and drink nice if a tad pricey. Service was very variable.

We’ve now visited Betley Tea rooms 3 times; for brunch, lunchtime sandwiches and cooked lunchtime food. Every time we’ve been the food is delicious and there’s plenty of it, and there’s certainly plenty choice on the menu. The pot of tea they serve is endless (unlike a lot of places where you only get 2 cups from the pot) and it stays lovely and hot too. The staff are all very friendly and super quick with the service too.

Website claims they were open….they weren’t….can’t comment beyond that. Too many excellent tea shops in nearby Nantwich to waste time going back.

Visited today for Afternoon Tea. It was absolutely delicious, cannot fault anything . The tea rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, staff are very friendly. The food was delicious, very fresh. Highly recommend a visit and will return. Thank you to everyone xx

Lovely afternoon tea service. Very child friendly and offer a choice of sandwiches for little ones. A little expensive but I do recommend for a stupendous afternoon tea. 🤗

First time visiting the tea rooms today and so glad we did. The occasion was a birthday treat and we booked for the Afternoon Tea. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the sandwiches, scones and cakes all tasted delicious. We felt it was very good value for money and will definitely be back again. 😊

Had a wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate my mum's birthday. Beautiful tea rooms and gorgeous sandwiches and cake. Would particularly like to thank Jayne who was quick to respond to my email queries about sandwich fillings and was more than willing to make a few changes to fit our tastes. Will definitely return.

What a little gem! Excellent food, friendly staff and clean, pleasant surroundings, just off the main Betley road. We didn't have the afternoon tea but saw people being served with it on another table; it looked delicious and plentiful. Full marks from us!

Went for an afternoon tea, 5 adults + a little one, 3 Afternoon teas, 2 toasted sandwiches. Fantastic quality, enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend this very busy, high quality tea room. The staff, including the boss, are also great, attentive but not overbearing, and very polite. We'll be back soon!!

Popped in whilst on a walk. Had Bacon bap and drink, plenty of bacon on a chatwins bap, lovely. Great little tea room.

Stumbled across this place on a ride out. Great friendly service and lovely cakes.

Friendly staff and nice place but we won't be rushing back here anytime soon. We ordered 2 apple juices and 2 fish butties for £20! If I remember rightly the juices were £2.50 each which is fair enough but the butties were £7.50 each...when they came they were just that, two pieces of white bread with about 3 fish fingers in, one was half empty. Way too overpriced in my opinion, the ladies toilets were also dirty.

We arrived with children and friends for a light lunch. The staff behind the counter were lovely but the lady in the kitchen was quite unfriendly/rude. And we definitely felt like we weren’t welcome, which was a shame a we had told our friends how lovely this place was. We won’t be returning.

First time at Betley Tea rooms to attend a baby shower. Service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Food plentiful and beautiful and they kept our teas topped up. Loved the eclectic range of crockery - such a charming place. Would highly recommend and I will be returning in the future.

We had never visited Betley Tea Rooms before and have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea there today. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all so tasty and well presented by friendly staff - we will certainly be back again - lovely low key atmosphere.

I take my lad football at betley every Saturday and really enjoy my visit too the tea room quality products. Defo recomend

We had afternoon tea here for my daughters birthday treat, absolutely delicious locally sourced homemade sandwiches and cakes, so yummy! The staff were fabulous, excellent customer service, so friendly and so professional - they really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and took in to account different allergies providing such tasty food - really pretty surroundings with a great atmosphere. Tried three times to book Crewe Hall initially, left messages and no-one returned my calls. Looked around for somewhere else in the area and found Betley Tea Rooms and am now very pleased we did so. A family run, friendly old fashioned tea room. I mean that as an absolute compliment! Set inside farm buidings at Betely Court Farm and just lovely. Nice people, lovely cakes and treats like Snugburys ice cream. Llight meals and breakfasts. Oh! and great cups of tea!

A wonderful village tea room. The staff are really friendly and the food is excellent - especially the home made cakes and scones. Great coffee too.

Fantastic alternative to queuing at Snuggberries for 45 minutes. I'm convinced the portion sizez are more generous too. A real sun trap in the walled seating area. Take the kids 20 yards down the road to a lovely modern children's park with plenty of car parking. They sell hot food too; the Sunday lunches smell amazing!

Visited on a sunny Sunday morning on a bike ride with 3 friends . Will definitely return. All cakes and coffee great but the fruitcake was a particular favourite. Energised us for the hillier ride home. Thoroughly recommend this welcoming establishment-beautiful setting , lovely china!

A lovely quaint Tea Room,the staff were very attentive and pleasant. We had Pot of tea and Tuna sandwiches, beautiful We sat outside as it was a sunny afternoon. All Covid restrictions were in place staff wore masks and there was table service. The tables were spaced out. Will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Lovely family run business, using locally sourced produce. We stopped by chance for a light lunch (jacket potato for one and an egg sandwich for another). Great food and beautifully presented. Brilliant that they do loose tea that taste so much better than teabags. There were a wide selection of scones and cakes, but we were too full to enjoy these, so a further visit is required. Friendly and efficient staff. Would definitely recommend, but check opening hours and perhaps call to reserve a table during busy times.

Firstly the positives - the staff were lovely. Kind enough to let us park there whilst we had a pre-cake walk and very attentive throughout our visit. The drinks were served hot and of food quality. Unfortunately the food majorly let our visit down. We shared a scone and a blondie. The scone was smaller than you’d expect from such a place and was served with whipped cream rather than clotted (this is criminal in my opinion!!). The raspberry and white chocolate blondie didn’t taste of raspberry or white chocolate - it was very bland. Sadly we were very disappointed.

I had a delicious Brie and cranberry toastie on Chatwins granary bread, with a fresh crisp side salad. The black coffee was good, perhaps next time I'll ask for an extra shot of espresso, as I like mine a little stronger. My friends tuna & cheese toastie was just as tasty too. Service was great, the staff were all very efficient and helpful. With both staff and customers abiding by all the covid rules...it was spotlessly clean.

We have just spent a lovely 4 days in Carpenters Cottage at Betley Court Farm. The cottage was just perfect, well equipped & cosy. Comfy bed, tastefully furnished & the hot tub was amazing, even the rain didn’t deter us. Jayne & her family were very welcoming & Wouldn’t hesitate to make a return visit.

Fabulous food and fabulous staff. Never been disappointed when eating here.

We stayed for a week in Betley court farm ‘woodside cottage’ (2 adults and 2 kids (9&11) and we have had a wonderful week. The tea room on the farm is lovely. We had full English breakfasts one morning & sampled they’re homemade cakes one afternoon - just fabulous.

Came here to celebrate my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary It was perfect! Freshly made sandwiches, scones with jam & cream, lemon posset served in pretty glasses, brownies, eclairs and crisps! Good choice of teas - I had pomegranate. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our Cream Tea Takeaway in lockdown for my husbands birthday. It was such a treat to enjoy out in the sunshine. Totally exceeded expectations and can highly recommend. Everything was simply delicious, and scones were light as a feather - a challenge to finish !!! Thank you 😊

Out for a Sunday drive and just happened to drive past and saw the sign outside, we turned round and stopped off. So glad we did a lovely little cafe and friendly staff. Myself and my husband had a pot of tea between us and he enjoyed the Victoria sponge while I had the dairy free carrot cake. Both were delicious and a very generous pot of tea. Can’t wait to come back, next time for a spot of lunch.

Great tea room and cafe. We stayed in one of the cottages and ate an early breakfast in the cafe. The staff are very friendly, we loved The real tea and china cups. The breakfast choice was varied and tasty. Worth a visit. Cakes are all home made and there’s a bit of a competition between the family members as to who makes the best cake.

On the way back to Staffordshire from Cheshire we stopped off for late breakfast. We had a super breakfast at this very biker friendly tea room. Proper Tea with tea leaves too , Great parking straight off the main road( no gravel ) , lovely food , we can recommend the Staffordshire oatcakes !! , and the service was superb. Really friendly and Bridgid said they really welcome bikers , they just dont see enough of them ! Thanks for a lovely time. See you soon, Mike and Marty x

We booked in for afternoon tea today for my mother-in-laws birthday and requested vegan afternoon tea. We were super impressed with the quality and freshness of the food, and it was amazing value for money. A brilliant variety of treats, and every morsel was tasty. We’ll definitely be back again!

Passed this tea room day after day but never been in until today. It is Lovely, light and airy. The staff are just the right mix of friendly and helpful. We sat for 2 hours over afternoon tea (and a few extra coffees) catching up and enjoying the food.We will definitely frequent from now on.

Bacon butty and a cappuccino every time I take my daughter to her dancing lesson is one of the highlights of the week!

We visited here for the second time a couple of weeks ago. It is a charming little place with good food and friendly staff. Will certainly be visiting again hopefully with better weather so we can sit outside in the courtyard.

Nice traditional style tea room nice service good tea

We use as a pitstop when cycling, good cup of tea, great bacon bap.

Have called in a few times for lunch with friends, a coffee or a bacon sandwich, all have been perfect. My favourite is the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a bun. Everything is spotless and you are greeted with a smile and attentive service from the staff. Prices are reasonable and service is generally quick, though can take a little longer if a group orders just before you. The entrance is off a courtyard next to the NFU office where you can park off the main road so look out for the sign.
