Best Western Plus Birmingham NEC Manor Hotel Meriden in Solihull

Stayed here for a weekend and would stay here again. The rooms were clean, all the staff in all the areas of the hotel were nice and friendly and the breakfast was good. Also appreciated that when you have a 'do not disturb sign' on your door for the day, the cleaners still leave a bag with all extra supplies like towel, body washes, bath mat etc as we needed some more so this was really helpful and never had any other hotel do this before.

Great overnight stay and left car there for 2 weeks .Really convenient and 10 mins from the airport

Its getting better now been several times for work so normally late check in and early checkout, so review based on bar,rooms amd breakfast. Firstly they now have security gates for rear car park good upgrade for vehicles especially contractors vans could do with more outer lighting. Bar has had a re-do nice and chilled place colours are calming staff are welcoming and pleasant, rooms clean modern and ours was spacious we managed evening meal 1 night it is impressive of pierre white photos all over lol, breakfast ok fried eggs didnt look that good hashbrowns a little over done but order potched eggs done to prefection will of course frequent this place due to work commitments so am update on changes good and bad will proceed

Brilliant stay this is the second time we’ve stayed and it’s even better than before food is amazing staff are lovely and room is comfortable. Definitely a place we will book year after year

It was a disappointing stay - I do not recommend this hotel. The hotel had no water running in half the hotel. There was no information to inform those rooms affected. I called all the phone numbers on the internal phone and none were being answered! I called the reception number off google which was diverted to another hotel, they informed me a porter would be coming to my room - after 15 minutes I ended up going to reception in my PJ's and was informed the water was off. No porter arrived to my room. I've put a complaint into the hotel regarding my stay and I've had no response despite it being over two weeks, I would not recommend this hotel. They was lots of customer complaining that they couldn't brush their teeth or have a shower in the morning there were no managers to be seen or additional staff to help those on reception during the busy check out despite knowing of the issue from 6.30ish am!

Had to wait ages to get my room key even though I checked in online. Rooms need an update. Great location for the NEC though.

*STOLEN CAR – AVOID THIS HOTEL* I stayed at this hotel, and it ended in a nightmare when my car was stolen from the front parking area. This hotel does not provide secure parking for guests, and to make matters worse, they have been uncooperative in the investigation to help identify the criminals. I strongly advise against staying here if you value the safety of your property.

Lovely hotel with very warm and welcoming staff. Particularly want to say thank you to Aswin and Samran who has give us lots of delicious biscuits when everything else is closed. We were starving after a late night party so this is life saving! Room is clean and comfy and the bar/entrance area is beautifully decorated. Price is reasonable too. Will definitely recommend.

Convenient for the NEC. Lovely staff, very good restaurant, rooms pleasant and clean…only dropped a point as there were no USB charging points, which seems a little unexpected given how good it was in other aspects but that’s such a minor matter and we had a great time and were well looked after by the lovely staff.

Located near the motorway so perfect for me. Rooms were lovely and clean. Staff were polite and professional. They even allowed me to have my Dalmatian with me

A lovely hotel went for a event had a wonderful night it was xard payment only which i wasnt made aware of though. Lovely deco and toilets very clean as the rest of the hotel has a car park will definitely return

Stayed overnight for a wedding, the venue was lovely, the room was very nice and very clean. Breakfast was lovely though I was a little worse for wear! 😆

Very nice hotel, comfortable rooms, very clean and well maintained facilities. The gardens were superb, a special pat on the back for the gardener. One gripe though. From 6am onwards all we could hear were the slamming of doors as guests left their rooms. Hopefully something can be done to cushion these doors so that guests can get an uninterrupted sleep!

The hotel is generally nice, the rooms were clean and well presented. The WiFi is pretty bad unfortunately. I was hoping to do some work in my room, but the connection kept dropping out and I didn't have mobile signal either which meant I couldn't hotspot. Breakfast was nice, there was a good selection and hotel staff were great when they were around. It's close to the NEC which is why I stayed, but there's not very many amenities nearby.

I used to use this hotel for all my business trips and have done this week. Unfortunately it has been one of the worst stays in a hotel I’ve ever had. The first room I was given, had absolutely no phone signal, and no WiFi signal so I couldn’t stay in touch with any of my clients or do any work at all from my room. I eventually managed to get a room swap, that did have WiFi signal however the WiFi in this hotel has severe issues. It dropped out every 2 minutes rendering my work useless once again! On the last night of my 4 day stay, there was a huge birthday party that came into the restaurant after I’d entered. Because the tables were reserved, I was put in a corner on a makeshift table to eat my food. My main came out within 10 minutes which was great service, however I then had to wait 40 minutes between finishing my main for my dessert which wasn’t worth it at all. I did get a free drink for the inconvenience which was ok, but the fact I was forgotten about by the staff for a big party that was obviously bringing in more money was an absolute joke. The rooms in this hotel are awful. The hotel itself, reception, bar and restaurant look very upper class however as soon as you get to the rooms it’s like I stepped into a Time Machine into the 1970’s. The rooms are extremely out dated, the beds uncomfy. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody
