Berry Brook Farm - Dining & Carvery in Wolverhampton

Just so everyone is aware these guys actually closed for good on Tuesday the 13th of August 2024. I don’t know why it's showing as open on google. Search them on Facebook to see they've closed down.

Bit of a pain getting served at the bar otherwise ok

Carvery not good cold, fish and chips ok don't recommend the carvery other menu looks better and cooked to order carvery left standing to long most customers ordered food from menu very few had carvery .

Had a but today my vist with my husband and daughter wonderful cavery very nice enjoy it but only complaint both my self and daughter was that the vegetable carrot s were to big chunky and hard broccoli sprouts other wise food was fine

Been twice and qst ..ran.out of carvery at 6pm..a joke..and today ran out of beef by 5pm which isn't acceptable especially on a sunday!!

All good but no more Fried Bread it's a great british stable with a fry up ohhh well

Ordered a carvery for delivery was bit sceptical weather would arrive decent size an I was over the moon amazing portions especially for delivery great quality food definitely be re ordering

25 minutes to get served i asked for a veggie option with pie get to finally get served a carvery no veggie pie! Then waited over 15 minutes to get served a drink by then food got cold. Hardly no staff to serve!

We came off the motorway looking for somewhere to have dinner called here and had a decent meal I don't know its reparation but we were happy with the service and the food.

Called in, told that they had a table of 20 in and not enough food for anyone else!!!! Only a very few other tables were occupied and the place is massive with outside tables aswell as indoor so I fail to see how they can't cater. What kind of establishment that's sole purpose is as a restaurant has no food?????

Very quiet,Friendly staff,soup lukewarm but tasty,bread dry,tables and salt and pepper pots need a clean,no coke,🤷🏻‍♀️Who has no coke,it’s standard Probably won’t return….shame

This place is an absolute joke shocking service absolute disgrace . This place needs the management replacing immediately with a person with manners and customer service skills e.g such as serving customers rather than talking about your life with ya staff friends. Honestly if I was the owner of this franchise I would have had the management close with immediate effect as you need management skills to run and serve customers. No hello or any acknowledgement as we walk in and then get left standing at the till like plonkers while you all a Tell each other life stories jokers . Very lucky I didn't express my opinion of the restaurant when I was there

Lovely place to have unlimited breakfast. Affordable price :). Staff called Maria is very friendly and made sure we were okay. She also gave us additional plate for my son to have his toast.

Excellent service yesterday from Michelle and Maria. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious. They are an absolute credit to your business and make us customers feel at home and welcomed every time. Well done ladies and thank you !

Kieran and Jes have smashed it! The carvery quality has skyrocketed! I don’t think there’s a better carvery in the area than this now. I’m excited to see what else they can bring to the pubs service and atmosphere. Well done guys

Very poor service. Waited 45 mins for drinks. Glasses we're dirty and had lipstick on them. Tried to take them back but que was so long. Stood in que for carvery to run out off food at 17:00 nothing left at all no communication vetween staff. Easily 20 people waiting in que had to then Wait 30 min to get a refund as most staff stood around while one person did the till. Then had attitude at the till as we used our bluelightcard which we didn't know and but was taken at the till when ordered but was snapped at by staff member on refund. loads off people complaining but some staff staff couldn't care. Only 2 staff was working there socks off I felt sorry for them. It was chaos. Second time we have had a bad experience. Gave it another chance but just isn't worth it unless it's during the week day when no one is in.

Standard cavery cakes to die for

We visited for a carvary on Sunday afternoon. The pub was busy We was greeted as soon as we walked in and took to our table. We were then offered table service by Jackie who was so welcoming and friendly absolute star you have there. We went to get our carvery and Kieron who served was great so happy even though extremely busy he was fantastic. It is a pleasure to be served by 2 wonderful members of staff! The food was great hot,fresh and we would definitely recommend.

Lovely Sunday Carvery, food very good, staff very friendly and polite especially our waitress whose name was Jackie she made us feel very welcome and provided an excellent service and catered for us during our stay! Definitely be Back.

I Ordered a Meal on Uber Eats which is fine done it Before not a problem, But this time Berry Brook cancelled my order no explanation nothing,So needless to say I will NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN, NEITHER WILL FRIENDS AND FAMILY 😡

Went here for a mid week meal out with a big group of friends. I had a veggie burger which was really good and a nice option to have as a vegetarian. The service here was wonderful, many feiendly faces, alot of my family had a carvery which they said was amazing and everyone really enjoyed their food. Everything was amazing and we had a turn on the raffle. Thanks berry brook farm!

Normally enjoy coming here but today disgusting service on asking for drinks one no ice we had ice on saying to the young lady can we have something to take ice out she said you never asked for no ice my husband and friend both said she did then she snatched glass away and threw drink down the sink no need for this we would gladly taken ice out and put in another glass also paid for 3 med meals one child and was given 2 small plates 2 med the server did change this and was very polite

The carvery here is just amazing and the slices of cake are massive and taste great. Defo recommend to anyone and they have a play area for kids as well

Went there for breakfast for a work Team meeting. Buffet breakfast was decent with plenty of tea and coffee.

Have collected my take away dinner today at 12.10 today .and the portions of meat where the smallest ive had in my lifetime the person dishing out the meat should be ashamed of herself....someone needs to have a quiet word with her else you customer's will drop off....thank-you

The carvery here is the best in Wolverhampton in my opinion. Huge garden 🌞. Staff are friendly, Maria is always smiling and helpful, nothingness too much always willing to help. Theresa behind the bar is always friendly and polite. Not sure what to have? Try the carvery and carrot cake

What can I say I have tried a Toby, I have tried the Newbridge, I have tried the island pool in fact I have tried most popular places for a carvery and they were "ok" but WOW berry brook hands down the best I have had and will return again! The meat was tender not dried and tough like some the mash was to die for the cauliflower cheese was cooked just right not overly hard like at other establishments I could go on but I urge you to try it for yourself, food and service was outstanding I can not wait to return

Very lovely staff, they was really nice and friendly, we have Tracey server us and she was very polite. The food was absolutely 10/10. Got lots of meat on the carvery well worth the money. Would 100% recommend and will be coming again. X

Berry Brook always used to be great, but something has changed I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's less "oh let's go berry brook" and more "do we have too?" I'll continue going to berry brook as it might just be a short time thing, as I know I've always enjoyed it here.

Had a really good meal here for a birthday. It wasn't too busy despite it being a Sunday. Lovely carvery.

So we got there literally 14 mins late due to traffic so our booking got "reallocated" and then another excuse got made to state there a family restaurant and I wasn't dressed appropriately and they had a dress code which doesnt state anywhere online or signage?,so I wouldn't of been able to have the table anyway even though there were several people outside the back on a HOT day wearing a vest top similar to me and have visited before wearing it... massively discriminated me deffo not visiting again.

We visited to use the garden play area with the kids, and have a beer/coffee. The kids loved it so much we stayed for lunch, and used the kids play area inside. It was nice to have a designated area where the children were not disruptive to others. Meals ordered by app at the table, quick service, quality meals, well priced. If you order the steak, pay the additional £1.50 for the sauce, it made the meal.

Been for a great breakfast today, food was hot and fresh. Maria who works there is brilliant and makes you feel ao welcome. 10/10 for the food 11/10 for the exceptional service from Maria. Will definitely be returning.

Waited for a member of staff ANY member of staff to acknowledge that we were there. A staff member went behind the bar area but never acknowledged anyone!! How rude - there were people before us as well - we left - went as it was recommended !! Never got to taste the food service was non existent- First impressions do matter. Sort your staff out to at least acknowledge potential paying customer.

Popped in for food on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly very quiet. There was a short wait to be seated but the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The food was great and exactly what I love about great British pub grub ! Very reasonable prices and an expensive menu including the carvery option with choices for those with different dietary requirements.

Despite visiting on a friend's recommendation I was slightly dubious as I've always been disappointed by chain carveries in the past. I had no need to worry. The staff were helpful, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy in their work. The carvery meal was without fault, and the Mars and carrot cakes were both very tasty (and very large). Will definitely be back.

Was waiting to long to get served at the carvery while staff was to busy doing take away meals mash potato was lumpy and by the time I got to the table food was luke warm at best

Our first visit as we pass by on route to New cross hospital. Brilliant food, and the midweek Carvery highly recommended. Staff are very helpful and polite with nothing too much trouble. Good wheelchair accessibility too

Bank holiday Monday - BUT it was not busy!! There was not many members of staff of staff on at all. The carvery looked dry and like it had been out for a while so we decided to go for meals off the menu. We placed the order at 2.55 and were told the wait for food was 30 minutes and 6 minutes for a piece of cake. After an hour of waiting we spoke to some lad with tattoos and he said “it's an hour wait on food” to which we said oh well it wasn't when we ordered. Can we check when our order is ready? And he walked off in a huff!! And he said it was being plated up. Then the food came. Cold cake and ice cream on a hot plate!! So the ice cream was already melting! Interesting choice. The meals came and they served me a well-done rib-eye instead of rare. I sent it back and they then refunded the steak (which they didn’t need to but that was nice) and made me a new one but there was no rib-eye left so I had to eat sirloin, and wait whilst everyone else was eating. The gentleman that came and refunded the meal was lovely. But the others were not the best. I understand that they are under pressure and I am thankful for them refunding the meal and correcting the mistake but it says something that the Korean BBQ sauce is the best thing on your plate. Because it certainly is not the peppercorn sauce, the look alone put the whole table off. See below picture. And the cutlery was not very clean, we took ages to find a clean fork. I am very disappointed and we wont be coming back to this branch. BUT my steak when it came was lovely!! Thanks chef.

It took too long between courses for waitor/ress to serve dessert.

I had a carvery. The beef was so tough that you could have used it as soles for your shoes. The knife would not cut through. The potatoes and vegetables were luke warm at best.

So disappointed tonight. Don't get me wrong the food and staff are lovely. Just feel really let down. We ordered a cakeaway from too good to go and showed up at the time requested. The building was closed and shut, and we weren't able to get our order. No notice given to us to say they would be closed 🥹 Update- I've changed the review on Google as the way this was handle was very professional and they went above and beyond. Thank you for rectifying the situation. ☺️ Can't wait to have my next meal with you again

We held our mums Wake at the Berrybrook and they did a really great job. The buffet was lovely and they kept replenishing. The servie was good too with firendly staff who couldnt do enough! I have had the carvery as well in the past and that was great too so all in all I can recomend the Berrybrook Farm to anyone. Thank you all for your great service and will be back there whenever i revist Wolverhampton!

A very good pub! Food is good, both quality and quantity. Staff are a little hit-or-miss with service but doesn't matter too much if you have carvery as it is self-serve. DESSERTS the cakes are amazing, giant and very much worth the price. Will be coming again!

Great pub and carvery. Took a chance as hadn't visited before and was on our way home from visiting friends. Berry Brook Farm had an excellent carvery and was more than a match for the Toby one! Great food, brilliant service, all in all a great establishment that I'd highly recommend visiting.

Went on a relatively quiet early Saturday lunchtime with 4 adults and 1 toddler. Food was largely very good and generous portions, minus one completely inedible rump steak. Tracey spotted that the steak had not been eaten when she came to clear the tables and immediately offered us a full refund, which was unexpected and much appreciated. We ordered desserts, which were nice, but some of the ice-cream flavours we selected when we ordered via the app were unavailable. We were not informed of this, and instead some different flavours of ice cream were brought to our table by a different member of staff. She confused us by saying, 'You can choose chocolate or vanilla,' but the ice creams were already on the table, so we didn't see how we were being given a choice. When we pointed out that we hadn't been given a choice and that we should have been asked which alternatives we'd prefer before the desserts were brought to our table, she didn't seem to understand what we were saying and kept repeating that we could choose chocolate or vanilla. Overall though, a very good experience given the inedible rump steak was refunded and the rest of the food was excellent, particularly the carvery and the sirloin steak. We would definitely return.
