I enjoy the atmosphere at this pub and it’s an ideal location. Tracy, esp, has been amazing. She went out of her way to be really helpful as I needed my phone charging, she advised me how to retrieve my info to get a 30% discount code, and generally made my afternoon so much better. Lovely lady, will be back soon.The great grub was just a bonus. 🤗

Came here for lunch today, the barman who was named Tom, helped us a lot with our order. He recommended dishes we would never have thought of having, was truly inspirational. He made this the best meal on a Saturday lunch ever. The meal and the service was truly an amazing experience. We will be back, as an experiance like this should not experienced once in your life.

Great place an decent park for kids

I took my daughter to the Easter Kids Party and she had an amazing time! The atmosphere was lively, and the entertainer did a fantastic job keeping the kids engaged with fun games and activities she absolutely loved.

The food has gone really downhill there. It really wasn’t great at all. They completely forgot about half the drinks we ordered at my table and they practically didn’t even know what food we’d ordered. The woman asked if we had more food to arrive and my sister and I literally looked at each other with our empty place at the table right there. I really don’t understand what’s happened there. The service was so so poor

Terrible experience here today. I always come and use Gourmet Society and bring the kids. Was told today that I can no longer use it unless I’ve booked. Load of bull. Asked to speak to the manager. She was the manager. She said she’d allow me just this once. Don’t worry Karen you won’t get my custom again. Place has gone down the pan. Poor.

Food took about half an hour to arrive despite the pub being quite quiet, tables were not cleaned properly and were extremely sticky. Won't be coming back again any time soon.

Staff were friendly and helped with any requests I had, even though there were only two staff working from what I could tell. Food was great, definitely going back again.

We went to the bankfield inn for my mother in law's 86th birthday there was 20 of us it's really hard to find somewhere to accommodate a large group but the bankfield did.....I've gotta say hats off to the kitchen staff we all ordered individually but our food was delivered to us mostly altogether they really did a fab job getting us all served more or less together we were expecting a few to have to wait but no they were amazing.....the food was excellent the only thing was there was no eggs for the mixed grills or gammon and they missed the pineapple off the gammon but that's ok we didn't feel the need to complain after working in the catering industry i know how hard it can be sometimes and the kitchen staff never get the recognition they deserve ....so overall bar staff but especially kitchen staff were fab 😀 and will be going again very soon I'm sure.....👏👏👏👏

A few of us came for tea we all had mixed grill most of the food was greasy and burnt couldn't even cut the steak it was just gristle service was very slow the bar tenders looked like they had been dragged off the road the state of their clothes a uniform would look way better it's only the 2nd time we have been here but sadly not again

Come here every Monday and always have a good time. One of the bar staff, Tracey, always goes above and beyond making sure we're good, very welcoming.

delicious and hot food. served very quickly . the possibility of ordering at the table by the qr code. The only downside: the women's toilet could be cleaner.

The food is amazing and the place itself is very cosy love the staff they are so nice especially tom and summer but she's on maternity ATM the other redhead and the blonde lady behind the bar are so nice and good for a chat would recommend for everyone always been they good since I started coming here 2 years ago

me and my partner came in for food earlier on we have visited quite a few times when we was ordering everything was fine then the woman who was serving us gave us our drinks (we had ordered 2 Pepsis to go with our food) however the glass was nearly only half full so my partner said to her in a joking manner as he laughed when he said it he said that's not full and laughed which then she replied with a sarcastic face on her don't need to be rude do you which then my partner replied to say to her that he wasn't being rude that he was just saying that it wasn't full which to be honest I don't know why she would give it us in the first place like that anyways she filled it and i said thank you and went to our table to wait for our meal which then another member of staff who I am guessing was the manager she hair red hair came storming over and shouted in front of all the other customers highly unprofessional to get out as we had upset her member off staff my partner went to explain to her bust she didn't listen and just kept saying there's your money get out not listening to a word he was going to say I don't understand where this kind of unprofessionalism comes from she could of sat and quietly said what she needed to at the table without shouting in front over other customers and then actually listened to our side will not be visiting here again extremely disappointed and angered with that woman how she's a manger I do not know would not speak to my customers that way !

Use to come here but since the self service carvery as gone I find it's not the same food portions are alot smaller don't get as much meat and don't get enough roasts or veg Won't be going there again unless it goes back to the way it was

When ordering the mega mixed grill I was not informed until my standard mixed grill came, that there was not the larger size available. I was only charged for the standard but this was not determined or noticed until after a discussion about the wrong meal being served and looking through payments. Mine was ok. My friend however ordered the standard and his steak was more than 60% gristle. The explanation for this was “that was what was in the bag that the kitchen staff heat up and that’s why you couldn’t have a large either because we ran out of bags of large mixed grills, would you like an egg instead”?‽!??, laughable. A free desert was given as compensation but overall the food and excuses were appalling. There is no reason for us to ever eat at another one of your chain again

Went to the bankfield inn for a meal on Sunday 10/11/2024 ,and was served by the supervisor. Made us feel welcome and the food was excellent.

My meal was good but we ordered for 6 people and the meals took 50 minutes to come and 2 of the meals had to be sent back as they were not warm. Also it took 5 minutes to serve the meals from start to finish. I ordered 2 drinks as well which took 25 minutes at a time when the pub was less busy

I came to this pub with some girl friends last night as we had seen an advert on face book saying they had a DJ from 7pm playing house and garage. We came early had food and waiting for the DJ. There was no DJ, the bar staff played a couple of tunes from a tablet behind the bar through the tiny speakers scattered around the pub (could hardly hear it) for 20 minutes or so and that was it. Complete disappointment and faulse advertising we will not be returning!

The food was OK, nothing special .but the staff are great . a little overpriced for what you get, just add a lot of sauce

Had meal at lunchtime today with family members total of 4, 3meals didn’t have correct items on the plate, 2 meals went back given chips instead of salad, chicken wing sharer only had 5 wings, then when received the wings with correct amount the wrong sauce was on, but as I had to wait for them to be cooked again I scraped sauce off, as we was all eating at different times because of the mistakes, the serving staff had no clue when asked about the meals. Poor service all in all. Thanks for reply and apologies but my mom who is in her eighties and has been a regular for a while now during lunch time didn’t even eat her meal,and was that disappointed that she is looking to go elsewhere.

Please do not be put off from this great little pub because of a few parking cameras, the pub will and is cancelling fines for anyone that recieves them whilst using the pub. Please do not pay them just get in touch with the pub.

Well we went here a few weeks ago for Sunday lunch over 50 spent just to revive a 60 parking fine for apparently in lawful entry please be careful if u go here

Great pub/restaurant in the heart of Bilston. Food came out all together and was hot. Reasonably priced. Plenty of parking, just remember to put your reg in when in the pub so there is no charge. Outside seating and play area.

This pub was the WORST experience I ever had, I spent alot of money it was not worth £30 let alone I spent £80! I canot believe the service I received my food was undercooked cold and tasteless I told the staff and the manager only to find they was having a conversation about me as I approached the bar, it was outrageous they didn't do anything about it either the food was wasted and I never got any money back. I took my kids and my cousins there for a meal and it was completely ruined I've never been so dissapointed and dissatisfied in my whole life that pub should be closed down for food safety reasons and extremely poor service I was disrespected by the manager of the pub and she was also very racist it was a big shame we never deserved the treatment we got I hope they go out of business they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Do not go here or you will be highly dissapointed. P.s I asked for everything well done look at my raw steak on the pictures they were so rude they didn't do anything about it

It's not the price of the food or the quality. It's not the great staff and hospitality. It's the expensive price of dark fruits. Over £4 for a pint! I might as well go to a corner shop and get four pints to that 1.... Jheeze. #overpriced

Lovely place, great staff, good food, nice and spacious dining area and outside bit. Playground for the kids as well as indoor play area so that’s nice. Toilets always nice and clean. Best sweet potato fries.

The service was great. The waiter was spot on when asking for additional sauces etc. I took my family there for a Sunday dinner. The only downside was the size of the dinners. So there’s a £5 difference between the children’s Sunday roast and the adults Sunday roast but when they arrived they looked the exact same size. I said to my wife that we may aswel of ordered 7 children’s meals. Aside from that I would recommend this family friendly pub.

Don't bother ordering food here. Can't ever get an order right and by the time it's been back and forth to the kitchen several times it's cold. Reject the food and tell the kitchen exactly where they should shove the food.

We visit regularly, this Sunday the portions were much smaller than normally we just had two half potatoes each and the beef had a lot of grissle in it and when this was cut out there was very little meat left very disappointed this week will try again if it hasn't improved we will have to find somewhere else to go
