Booked for our anniversary this was a pleasant restaurant, good staff who were very attentive and the food although not quite 100% authentic reminded you well enough.

Bep Viet looks like a small corner restaurant with limited space but has a large cellar area with a good atmosphere. The set meal was good with the starters being more appetising than the main courses. We chose a middle of the road white wine which was pleasant enough at £17 and doused the chillis down! Overall a good meal but not in the great category but would return again however.

Eating in Covent Garden when the main intention is to talk is often hard, most of the restraunts being very noisy. We thought the Bep Viet looked quiet, and Vietnamese food is a bit of a rarity, so we tied it. Very disappointing. My prawn dish was under-flavoured, my friend's monkfish was flavoured to extinction, and the noodle accompanyment we ordered was tiny. A very limited menu, too. Would not recommend.

Authentic Vietnamese fare. Reasonable prices. Attentive service. HOWEVER they are reluctant to allow new customers in during the last hour of opening. This makes no sense, as the typical meal time at Bep Viet takes 30 minutes.

Went with a couple of friend for din dins. When we first arrived they said we had to wait an hour to be seated, I asked for a booking and after a lil tug of war he agreed to seat us in an hours time. Now, unfortunately I wasn't able to try the pho because I told them I had a coriander intolerance and they absolutely refused to sell me anything with coriander in it. (So be warned, if you wanna take that risk don't say anything 😅...I play with my life so its good). I ended up have the wok friend chicken and prawns noodles, which were okay....a bit basic and a bit dry and definitely not authentic. The spring rolls and calamari were delicious 10/10. I give them that! I tried my friends hot and spicy soup which again was okay but I didn't feel like the food transported me anywhere.

Cay Tre, Soho, has firmly secured its place in my top five Vietnamese restaurants in London. The sleek, modern interior provides a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for casual dinners and small groups. During my recent visit to Cay Tre in Soho, I was captivated by their Chicken and Bone Marrow Phở. The broth was rich and aromatic, infused with the deep flavors of slow-cooked bone marrow, which added a luxurious depth to the traditional chicken base. The tender chicken pieces complemented the silky noodles perfectly, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. This dish truly took me by awe, standing out as a remarkable culinary experience that I would highly recommend to any phở enthusiast. For those seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Soho, Cay Tre is a must-visit destination.

Love this place! The food is always fresh, the service is fast and friendly, and the restaurant kept super clean. Perfect spot for a bowl of pho, especially on a rainy day 🌧️ Easily the best in the area, and the prices are much better than other places around Covent Garden. Highly recommend!!

My experience seems at odds with other reviews 🫣 I had veggie spring rolls spare rib starter and duck noodle soup Portions were very generous but I felt the food was somewhat bland. I would suggest improving flavour and quality and reducing portion size Also it was pretty cold downstairs 🥶
