As long as you have an eternity to send here you should be golden. The service is there, but cannot really see it, food is a lot faster than expected considering it took 30mins to order and only 20mins to get the food. And if you forget to order something you might as well make peace with the fact you won’t get it. Staff is nice, but for some reason four floor staff and two in the kitchen Chen struggled to serve five tables with 20 people in total and quite a few people waiting to be seated had to leave.

The cafe at the V&A museum had always held a soft spot for us, a must stop destinations every time we visit the museum which is to say every time we visit London. This will be the last time we come to this cafe. The rudeness of the staff is absolutely on point with the service we endured at the Barbican last night. Is the corporate training philosophy of Benugo a carbon copy of American private incarceration corporations or is this part of British Home Office’s effort to keep away tourists?

Went there for a nice tea but ended up going wrong, staff spilt the drink on my hands (got burns) then when I asked for milk and sugar in the tea they just spill all the tea in the bin and then leave the teabag with the milk that you have to pour from a very unhygienic metal vase, then the tea froze 2 minuets later, do not go here.

Food was reasonable when it was eventually served to us but that’s about the best thing I can say about this place. Tables were filthy, knives and forks and serviettes were nowhere to be found and despite there being lots of staff wandering around none of them appeared to be doing much. We waited nearly an hour for food and when I dared to go and ask the girl on the desk looked put out that she had to move to go and ask the kitchen. The attitude of the chef left a lot to be desired… it will come when it comes apparently - even though several tables of larger parties came in well after us already had their food ours took an absolute age for 4 meals. I totally understand that it was busy but there is no excuse for such poor service. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all and certainly will not be returning.

I have been told this is the first cafe in a museum. It invented the concept. I docked it a point for that, because the concept generally leads to overpriced cafes serving underwhelming food. However, the food here is much more impressive than the average cafe. They have an interesting selection, such as mushroom and truffle tortellini with bechamel. They of course have coffees and pastries as well. The service can be slow. The actual space for the cafe is kind of amazing; marble and arches and classical decor. Check out the photos, it's quite impressive.

The Benugo run restaurant at the V&A is perhaps one of the most beautiful in London but the catering is so badly organised and time wasting that by the time you get the food you are exhausted and just want to get out of there. The staff are pleasant and do their best but the whole set up is so awful and chaotic that someone needs to go there and sort it out. The Benugo management obviously don't care because there will always be more customers and visitors who are expected to put up with diabolical service as there is nowhere else to eat in the Museum. Arriving at 1.00pm at the Hot counter there were about 15 people in the queue, ten minutes later now at the counter the only hot food left was one portion of pork, and trays of vegetables. We were told the fish would be about ten minutes the lasagne was finished and the chicken was obviously lost in transit, twenty minutes later the fish arrived. Most of the queue I found out later wanted soup which they had plenty of. Why not serve the soup on a seperate counter to save other customers having to wait, obviously Benugo don't go in for simple solutions. I did try and get a coffee but this counter was even more chaotic, only 2 staff who couldn't cope, I waited for ten minutes and gave up. Life is really too short, go and eat somewhere else before or after your visit to the wonder V&A museum but do go and look round the restaurant (avoiding the numerous queues at numerous counters) because it is stunning

It's been over 2 years since I was last here, but I think its deteriorated. We arrived around 12 noon on a Saturday, early when the place was less than 25% full. We were a party of 6 adults, plus 2 children aged 4-6, and we needed 1 baby chair. We could see a table for 8 already set up, but they seemed to take an inordinate time to set up a new table for us. At least you don't have to queue up to order your food anymore, now there is table service. The kids set menu was value for money at £6, eg for a generous pizza or a chicken burger with a soft drink. The adult meals were more expensive, started at £10, eg for a plain Salad or a Burger, rising to £15 to a "T-Rex Burger", and £2.50 for a glass of diet coke. We also got a carafe of water (no ice), sensibly with plastic breakers for the kids, but we did have to ask for a refill. We were there for about 60 minutes, but I don't recall anyone coming to ask if everything was OK, asking if we wanted anything else, offering us refills, coffee, or desserts? When we separated to take children to the toilet, we left baby food & utensils in a bag on the high chair. That got whisked away. Luckily we realised this, went and asked for it, and it was readily produced, they hadn't thrown it away. Total Bill came to £100.70 without service charge (that's 1 soft drink each, no alcohol, no desserts). I still think its the best the Natural History Museum has to offer, but I don't think it's that fantastic.

We choose to have a lunch in T Rex Grill inside the museum and we order two T Rex Burger (price €15 each) and from the kids menu a cod goujons with fries for my little one. About the Burger , absolutely overprice for what we receive, the bun was very plain and fragile taste like a week old, the beef patty was totally dry and unseasoned and did not taste any juicy or fresh at all, plus, as we have one of the table in front of the kitchen pass we can clearly see that the food been left ages on the hot plate (definitely shows nobody has control of the kitchen but just assembled the trays before been served) About kids menu we were expecting at least one healty option example a green vegetable to go with (8 pound for 2 courses for a kid..) Nobody ask how the service or the food it was and no sign of management in the dining area unless a better dressed guy which was roaming around looking for something to do. As the famous song used to says: "Please don't go!!"

Rude and ignorant staff, when I asked for my order was rudely told they don't have any without any pleasantries or alternatives. The price was mumbled as the staff member turned away at the same time as serving someone else. Both drinks were then dumped on another part of the counter to where I was stood with again no pleasantries. After getting both drinks me and my wife both came to the swift conclusion that the prices were vastly over priced for the quality of the milkshake (just milk badly blended with chocolate).

We visited Benugo while we were in the Science Museum. It is convenient and with seating upstairs plus space to park pushchairs downstairs it seemed the best option for me, my wife, our daughter and two year old granddaughter. Perhaps unsurprisingly it was busy at lunch-time on a Friday but we found a spare table upstairs. The queues for the food counter were slow and even slower for the checkout. There was also confusion as to where when you paid for coffee and tea with customers wandering around with trays of food and drink. The food itself was average. The sandwich menu sounded better than the reality with some of the ingredients such as avocado barely discernible; a teaspoon of avocado paste does not qualify as avocado in my world. The soup was lukewarm at best. Cafes often make the mistake of serving soup almost at boiling point but this was at the other extreme. The staff looked and largely behaved in a disengaged fashion. On a positive note the cappuccino and flapjack were fine and if I was visiting again I guess that is all I would have. So all in all a disappointment.

The food was expensive, particularly the kids packs that cost £5.50 each for a small roll, a tiny cup cake, an apple and a small bottle of water. Friday lunchtime. Mid November. Feeling hungry. So we choose the Benugo cafe within the London Science Museum. Had hot drinks there before and all OK so lunch we assumed would be OK too. Wrong. Yes the food looked appetising. So my son and I chose the pasta bake. £8.95 each for a smallish portion with one side. We both chose roasted vegetables. Lady serving us was affable enough. Food looked reasonable. My wife chose the fennel soup with a pretty meagre lump of crusty bread at £4.95. What with three hot drinks (small pots of tea at a cumulative £7.80) we paid and walked upstairs to the relatively quiet seating area overlooking some grand old steam engines below. Well now. The pasta bake. ZERO flavour. Didn't taste cheese at all. Just pasta in an insipid sauce. And the lower reaches were overcooked and dry. The roasted vegetables were swimming in oil with excessive amounts of the herb rosemary. Awful really. And at that price! I felt ripped off. The only way this review doesn't get 2 stars is because my wife enjoyed her soup. The saving grace really. £30.65.....£15 would have been too much. Will not buy food here again.

You put in your order up front and pay for it before being shown to your table. We both had the Mac and Cheese which at £9.00 is very cheap for London and we had garlic bread with cheese to go with, also relatively inexpensive at £4.50. Firstly they got wine order wrong. Served by a rude waiter with no apology. Then came our meal...Luke warm macaroni and chips. We asked it to be reheated ..again no apology. After ten minutes of waiting the replacement food was inedible worst macaroni we have ever tasted. Sat with our untouched plates for a good 20 minutes no staff approached us even though they were clearing tables all around us to see what the problem was. We gave up in the end and walked out. Food here well over priced and very poor quality. In hind sight should have asked for refund.

Valeu a pena, atendimento bem rápido.

Whilst visiting the museum, we queued for 29 minutes only to be told there was next to no food left. What we did have was not even a full portion but was still expected to pay full price. The staff seemed totally uninterested and I can only assume that is why all the tables were left full of dirty cups and plates etc.The museum is fantastic but this restaurant like all the others in the museum, not only let it down but charge you a small fortune for the benefit!!Put me off the museum and would definitely never attempt to eat here again.

No queue and moderate pricing given the captive audience. Takes ages (25 mins) for food to arrive, which got tipped into my lap by embarrassed waiter who couldn't hold plates which had been under hot lights for too long (burger and fries tasted like that too). Would advise going for the salads - they looked best.

Very basic with a small selection of food. Lovely ice cream. It helped us to refuel on a lovely day at the museum.

My first visit here. I wasnt overly impressed. A long que, very expensive for what you get and nothing special food wise. The coffee didnt taste as great as i was expected and the roll was slightly 'hard' in places.

Ótimo lugar para um almoço rápido entre visitas às diferentes alas do museu, ou um café e lanche da tarde. Muito agradável.

I used to work for a company under the same umbrella as Benugo and I loved our cafe in the office and the food. They do great breakfast muffins and lunchtime sandwiches and salads but this particular cafe was overpriced due to being in the Science Museum and you being a captive audience. It's bad enough that the prices rise massively in London but this was a joke - £4 for a large milkshake, which wouldn't have been so bad as it was a day out at the museum and a treat for the kids, however, had they tried to palm me off with that size as a large coffee, I would have complained. It was tiny and not worthy of being called large! The small was ok for a 7 year old but was only a £1 cheaper!

These are inexpensive cafes for a quick coffee☕️ and bite to eat . They are all over London and really reliable.

Great coffee, good snacks and a quiet place to sit overlooking the hustle and bustle of Waterloo station concourse.

I went there for a coffee and wanted to use the toilet first and there was a rude lady who shouted where I was going. I said I wanted to use the toilet first and she shouted that it was for private use and when I asked where was the toilet for customers she pointed outside and said the public toilets in the street. It’s disgusting in this day and age for an establishment who serves food not to have rest rooms for customers to use. It should open its toilet to customers or close.

We had a lovely time at Gail’s, we sat in the back corner which felt cosy and private. The iced caramel latte was very nice.

Evitar a toda costa.

We are here in London from the United States and so happy we found Brown & Rosie in Nottingham! We spent three weeks traveling around England… Brown & Rosie is at the top of our list of favorite places. We had dinner twice and breakfast once. Hamburgers were awesome. My French toast topped with fruit and ice cream was delicious! Not sure when we will back to London but we will never visit London again without stopping in at Brown & Rosie! Thanks so much from an American Tourist!

I convinced my daughter to try this with me (she does NOT like ice cream). She lived it and so did I...the perfect treat on a warm day after Portabello shopping. You can pick your flavors a d it's presented in a beautiful flower shape! Perfect and delicious!
