Lovely bar in central location, excellent decor, clean and pleasant toilets, nice and helpful staff. Overall a great place for a night out drinks with friends.

A Great Spot for Any Day of the Week This place strikes the perfect balance: a quieter spot during the week and a lively atmosphere on weekends. They offer a good selection of drinks and entertainment, including "Shots and Beat the Barman" challenges and pool tables in the back. Definitely worth a visit!

Normally quite nice. I like the Cherry Bakewell cocktail. They ID for entry even if you're clearly middle-aged, which is unfortunate considering carrying a wallet around is a dated concept these days. Would suggest they only ID people who obviously look young, as it meant I was turned away with my 60 year old parents for not having an ID!

What can I say - great pub, comfortable seating and a lovely atmosphere - gets very busy with the night. If you have luck on your hands, beat the barman will get you sorted :)

Callum Lloyd this guy needs to be promoted to deputy manager. I've been in the industry now for 14 years and this is the best service I have ever had. Thankyou I will finally return no more £50 sofas to trash I don't think they do food but I'd recommend In a fruit dehydrater machine to make their cocktails above 10/10 'x

When a barrel is taking ages to change, the offer to top someone's glass up with an alternative is not alright. Not the classiest of venues…

Great place for a social drink or special coctail

Didn't get food, beer was fine, service was good, went both nights we stayed in Cheltenham but found atmosphere different each night, Friday was good, less so on Saturday, that said place was clean, felt safe, beer wasn't a rip off with a decent choice and good staff.

Good decor, decent selection of drinks. The main draw is if you can beat the barman and double your round.

Had a relaxing late night drink in a lovely setting. This was on a Tuesday night so not sure what it is like at the weekend Thursday onwards..

It's alright, open till 4am, no big ideas enjoy a few good drinks, plenty of liqour for all tastes.

Terrible experience at Bentleys Bar. My sister's phone went missing and the staff didn't care, wouldn't even check their CCTV. Turned out that a man on the night found my sister's phone in Bentleys and tried to hand it in to the bar staff who wouldn't accept it and told him to just keep it. Luckily this man was lovely and managed to track us down and hand the phone back to us. Staff are useless with absolutely zero duty of care. Also, the cocktails are poorly made, hardly any alcohol in them. Avoid!

Bar staff couldn't be bothered to accept lost property causing my GFs phone to go on a 3 month adventure. They told the gent who tried to hand it in, on New Years Eve, to "Just keep it, I don't want to deal with it" and they we're laughing when we asked about it later that evening and the next day. Also more general the drinks are expensive and poorly made and there's many better bars to go to.

Nice bar went in on a Sunday night you can play beat the barman if you win you get the same round as you've ordered for £1 lucky us beat the barman on toss of a coin and got 2 doubles for £1 Brill nice clean bar

Need to take cash as not every has money on card

Good bar in Cheltenham Town centre. They have a 'Beat the Barman' (which is sexist) up to 11pm; win a coin toss and your 2nd round is £1; however many drinks it was.

'Beat the Barman', great chance to double your whole round for a quid! Service is generally good and situated right on the High Street. Very friendly barstaff and the cocktails are very well made!

I LOVE bentleys. This is my go to place on a night out, i love the cocktails and the staff are so friendly. There's also pool tables at the back as well as a few booths if you fancy a bit more of a private drink!

Went to have a few drinks at around 12:30am with some friends on Tuesday night but bouncer wouldn’t let us in. He let in every group of girls that didn’t have men with them but refused entry to girls that were with guys or groups of guys by themselves, refusing to give reasons to anyone who queried it and told us to make a complaint if we weren’t happy about it. We’re regulars at both lounge and Bentleys most weekends and never had a problem before. I suggest you re-train your door staff on standard discrimination laws.

Great place for evening relaxing

Nice drinks, nice staff, alright music and there is a pool table not much more you could ask for :)

Track and trace wasn't asked to be done by all of us in the group, only one, even though none of us live together. Service was good to begin with, but when trying to order a second round, not a member of staff to be seen. Shots were really good! Cocktails however you could tell they weren't made to spec (probably what should have been a shot, was 3/4 of a shot). Personally, not worth the price you're paying.

I've been to Bentleys a few times. I recently visited during Covid so they weren't doing 'beat the barman ', where you can win your order/round. It has recently been refurbished and is looking great.

Ok atmosphere when slightly busy

Worst pint of guiness I've ever had, head on my pint was about 30%, can't really take it back as I feel too rude...

We went there last night for first time and definitely will not go again. It's a good place with nice atmosphere but the staff is very,very unprofessional and rude.

Bar tender is really accommodating. Got to love this place.

Lovely building in the very centre of Cheltenham. Unfortunately they were out of chips which was crucial for me at the time so we had to leave but seems like a nice place to eat.

Very nice environment... The flip-a-coin to double up your drinks is such an awesome idea... And the staff are great as well.... They went the extra mile to make a non alcoholic cocktail for my girlfriend even though is not on the menu

The main virtue of this bar is it is open until the early hours of the morning. I often find myself leaving this place at 3am. I don't like drinking there, but at least I can.

Bentley's is a great time. It's got a couple of pool tables, two bars, seating and some side to dance, though it's not a dance floor. You will feel like you're on a journey when you decide to go to the toilet, but otherwise it's good times. The prices are slightly high but they have a beat the barman game, where if you guess the correct con flip you get the whole round again for one pound. Pretty ideal.

First time I had visited the place, and it was a great atmosphere for a Thursday night. Also they flip a coin when you order your drinks if you guess correctly head's or tails you get the same drink for £1. Definitely be going there again.

Used to love going here and drinking late into the night. It now appears to be more of a club than a bar with the music deafening. The entire atmosphere of this place has been going down over the last few years and is now no longer worth going. There used to be good cocktail and comfy chairs to sit listen to a little music but still be able to talk to your friends but you can't shout to them anymore

THE place to go when it's 3am and you want cocktails.

Best place for a cheeky pint. The sofas at the back are extremely comfy, especially when watching the rugby on the projector.

Great aesthetic and atmosphere on non-weekend nights. Great place to go for a drink with friends, but recently made it's pool tables pay per game which isn't as good for the customers. Amazing food for a bar and can be cozy on the sofas though!

Always have a good time when we have drinks in Bentleys and play pool. I have heard good things about the food but have never tried it.

Bentley's is a smart, casual bar serving regular larger, beers, ciders and software drinks. Additionally a large selection of cocktails, usually 2-4-1. Usually a quite place, but can get busy later on in the night.
