Ordered a cake but they closed before I could get it 🫤 I did get my money back but the loss of this bakers is a tragedy. Bens was the go to place for the loveliest birthday and occasion cakes. I don’t know what went wrong but they will be sorely missed. Perhaps they should have charged more??

My daughter ordered and paid for a delivery of cakes on the 22nd January to be delivered to her London address but nothing arrived . She rang and messaged several times but despite someone promising to get back to her nothing came and three weeks later asked me, her father, who lives in Paignton, to go in and enquire what was wrong. When I did the staff said the price she paid was not enough for London delivery so I paid the extra £4 on the 20th February. A week later there was still no cakes and on the 28th February I went back to the shop and the staff put the cakes into the box in front of me and I would be sent a tracking number to my phone. I wrote her address on the box and the staff assured me it would be sent off. After a week, no tracking number was received and no delivery. On the 6th March I again visited the shop for the 3rd time and the assistant took my name and phone number and assured me that the owner would ring that day. A phone call was never received and still no delivery of cakes. My daughter is incredibly disappointed with this service having used you for years, from local deliveries to birthday cakes. She moved to London and wanted to continue to support you as a local bakery. Now it has been nearly 2 months since her original order and I have visited the shop on her behalf numerous times. My final visit was Friday 17 March when I finally spoke to an assistant who phoned the owner and my purchase money was refunded. No explanations beyond a basic apology. As a family we would not recommend this company.

Don't bother, one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Doesn't answer the phone, doesn't respond to emails, facebook messages or Facebook comments. Ordered some brownies and after not hearing anything for a week and after numerous attempts to contact Ben, I finally got hold of him only to be told the brownies I ordered were for local delivery only even though that wasn't stated on the Facebook post or on the website. He said he would refund my order but 5 weeks later I'm still waiting and again, he ignores all attempts at contact so will have to persue a charge back claim through my bank. It seems I'm not the only person to have had this problem with him

Very disappointed. Used Ben's Bakes before and no issue and amazing cakes. Got a gift card in October, 4 weeks on still trying to order. Phone lines not being picked up or unavailable. Messages sent saying they can deliver the next day then being ignored. Asked for a delivery or a refund and i was told to call. Wouldnt mind but ive been trying this for 4 weeks now so why would tomorrow be any dofferent! Very disappointed.

I collected this cake for my husbands birthday Friday. It was alot bigger than expected and absolutely beautiful you can taste the ingredients used are good,quality and fresh. An absolutely beautiful cake look and taste. We will definitely bring ordering again.

We ordered the Kinder cake well in advance for our child's party. We collected the cake and thought it was OK but on closer inspection at home we realised we have been cheated out of the kinder decorations. The photo on the website has a whole kinder egg sat on top of the cake along with lots of smaller kinder bars, decorations around the side along with another part of a kinder bar. The cake we collected has a hippo and 2 bars and that is it, the top is not fully decorated and neither is around the cake. The kinder bar snapped before the party and we have had to fix it. I feel like we have been let down due to false advertisement as there is not as much on the cake as there is photographed and advertised. Please don't make the same mistake we did in not double checking the cake advertised with the one presented in the shop before you leave. We didn't have time due to the party to rectify this issue.

stay away would give 0 star if could stale cakes well overpriced 12 pound for six my dog could do better put in a box to big all squashed together 20mins later they then reduced them down to a pound saw us coming and on top of this it was for a halloween them birthday very disappointed as we had no cakes the set up is not up to scratch lots of cakes all piled up not covered over all in the open kitchen area and front of shop on counter for people to cough all over and a small hair found in box would not recommend at all. they also do not want to respond to you or try to sort the situation out .

I ordered cupcakes for our wedding celebration. They were beautiful and delicious. All of our guests throughly enjoyed them and went back for more. The service from ordering through to delivery was excellent and efficient. Would highly recommend, and I'll definitely be visiting and ordering again.

Visited at lunchtime and the first thing you notice is the cleanliness of the restaurant. I ordered via the McDonald’s App and I didn’t have to wait long for my order to be brought to my table. The food was hot and fresh. I had the Philly Stack and it was very tasty. Also had 2 sauces on the tray which I hadn’t asked for, which saved me having to ask when they brought my food. Cleaning is pretty good here as I saw tables being wiped down within a minute of them being vacated. Overall a very positive experience of a McDonald’s restaurant.

I just had this food, and it was an utterly disappointing experience from start to finish. The food was extremely bad, lacking both flavor and freshness. It is evident that the ingredients were not of good quality. The presentation was unappetizing, and the food was burnt. The pizza was inedible. To make matters worse, i called and the person on the phone was horrible and rude. Overall, this was the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and dine elsewhere. If I could give is a -100 I would.

They were the worst fish I have had 17.50 for one portion chips were inedible rock hard felt like they were yesterday do they think as holidaymakers we will put up with scrap food
