Me and my mates stayed in the Travel Lodge opposite and went here for dinner and then breakfast. Great food and friendly staff.

Having lived in Holbeach since 2017 I’ve often wondered this eatery was like, my mate often mentioned that he’d like to visit, so I thought I’d treat him. We both had cod and chips Claims’s to be line caught cod, no way of proving or disproving that claim and certainly doesn’t taste any different. Have yet to see anyone sitting on the dock of the bay, line fishing for cod…. Which brings me on to this so called Americano themed restaurant, there’s nothing I could see remotely American here.. ok so there’s a few American car number plates on the wall but there just reproductions… I have frogs in my garden but it doesn’t mean I live in a French chateau. Many of the tables were uneven and were rocking so maybe the rocking was the American theme. So we both settled for cod and chips… no peas mushy or otherwise, chips were frozen chips, fish I’m guessing was frozen too, so any claims to freshly caught has long gone out the window. A mug of hot chocolate and a mug of tea also ordered…. Ooops the waitress spilled the entire contents of the tea over the table. Ok it was an accident and no one was burnt, but that was just luck.. the bill came to £33 for what it was this was an excessive price, we had exactly the same in Sainsbury’s only last week with peas for £6.95 each plus £2 for a mug of tea. I don’t mind paying over the odds for food but it has to be, value for money and something special. It simply wasn’t. I was expecting a small discount considering the mess with the tea, but nothing. No way was I going to offer a tip. The only thing I found positive about the place was the A16 outside and I couldn’t wait to get on it back home…..

We called in here as a mid stop on our journey to Great Yarmouth. We enjoyed the full English breakfast, which was served piping hot and cooked well. The booth seating arrangement gives you that settling dining experience without anyone trying to nudge past you. If we were on that journey again, yes, we would stop over again for some menu choice.

Gem of a place. Stopover for lunch en route to Norfolk coast. Great home cooking, top service and relaxed comfy surroundings. Pie and mash top notch.

Burger with black pudding and blue cheese is the best

Amazing food, decent prices, really friendly staff, nice atmosphere, in own booth so doesn't feel crowded, decent sized portions. We make a planned stop to go whenever travelling past Benny's. Also has free parking.

Stopped for breakfast and had full English and scrambled egg with smoked salmon muffin. Service was quick and the food was hot, fresh and a large portion. Good quality coffee too. Dog friendly which is really nice to see. Would highly recommend and definitely visit again

Would not recommend this place to anyone. Been here for half and hour and still not eating. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our order and people who ordered 10 minutes before us have got there food yet.

Fantastic little place! We arrived with a party of 10 with no warning but the staff managed to accommodate us despite three restaurant being busy. We were seated quickly and orders taken promptly. The menu is quite extensive with some interesting options. I went for the "Fat Elvis" burger which was certainly an experience. Portion sizes were generous and the quality of the food was truly excellent. Good vegetarian options.

Didn't eat there service too slow. To be fair we didn't have a lot of time but were suprised that the 6 people before us hadn't been served either and they had been there before is we couldn't wait.

Uses cheap condiments and overpriced for a Diner! Didn't bother to stay.

Had a lovely big breakfast, the bacon was done just right. Running eggs and sausage were just plain pork, but tasted very good. 3 adult breakfast 2 tea's 2 apple juices and 1 soft drink for £50. Good value with the size of the breakfast

Looking at reviews which prompted my visit, I have to say was very disappointed with the Food , My Rump steak came in 2 pieces, 1 was just about edible, the other piece was impossible to digest, my Daughters Steak Sandwich was pieces of trimmed Steak and just as indegestible , the fries were good maybe if had something different to Steak may have been better , The Staff were friendly sadly didn't enjoy.

Roadside lunch. Well cooked, basic dishes. Staff were excellent. We were 4 adults and a young toddler. All well looked after.

We stumbled across Bennys Diner on our way to Norfolk and decided to call in for food and drinks to break up our journey. We had our dog with us and found this diner to be really dog friendly. The lady that served us brought out a bowl of water and a sausage cut into pieces for our dog and we ordered two of the Big Bennys breakfasts, one tea and a strawberry milkshake. The quality of the food was excellent, we both commented how fresh everything was and we both enjoyed the bacon the most. Our drinks were spot on too! My husband loved the ice cream in the milkshake. The staff were lovely and quite attentive but not too much. I am sure that we will stop off here the next time that we are travelling to Norfolk.

I don't normally post reviews of cafes or restaurants, I do understand the enormous pressure they must be experiencing, but when they do a job well it should be noticed. Benny's looks like a former Little Chef establishment but it has been redecorated and styled afresh and the toilets renewed. Our food was served promptly and courteously. It was simple and good, reasonably priced. Checkout was again polite and efficient although the cafe was busy. Well done to the team. The only downside; the car park was full and difficult to access.

I remember when Penny's first ed opened up the food was great, the atmosphere was buzzing, but now, not after going for a few years, it's gone downhill. The food is nothing to write home about. The quality of food has gone downhill. I ordered a full English. I got my toast, and by the time my full English was actually ready to be brought out to me, my toast was cold. My partner had a cheese burger, parts of the burger were still raw, and It came with mayo on the burger. Certainly, I will not be going back here, nor will I be recommending.

Fantastic breakfast at a great price, the service was top notch, they really spoiled our dog and us. I only wish it was closer to where we live!

I've sat here many times while my wife and daughter visit her parents/grandparents. I've often looked at Benny's Diner. A couple of times it's been closed, so today, on Father's Day, I thought I would treat myself to some lunch. I'm so glad I did! The food was amazing, piping hot and delicious, as was the service. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. The burger and chips were just like Five Guys, if not better, in my opinion.

Superb. Had lunch on our way south for a mini holiday, excellent burgers. Great chips. Big portions. A truly generous lunch, both in quality and quantity. So good that we planned our trip home to have a later breakfast there too. Breakfasts are stunning....top quality ingredients and really big portions. And lovely staff too.

stopped off on way home from house hunting in lincs. got in there, very friendly staff, looked at the menu, it was indentical to the marine pub in hunstanton including everything microwaved! sorry for the staff but the next time driving through we found a burger king, bland but reliably bland!

Although living in the area for many years, we had never been into Benny's. We popped in for a late breakfast yesterday and were extremely impressed. A very friendly welcome from all the staff, great atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious. Tasty and well cooked, with generous portions, and great coffee too. I was delighted to see that dogs were allowed, which is very refreshing. We will definitely be back to try their other dishes! Fantastic local, independent diner. Highly recommend!

I was visiting relatives who suggested here for breakfast. Nothing to disappoint with decent ingredients (not sure the sausages were Lincolnshire?, oooops!) - a decent plateful of eggs, bacon, beans etc and scrumptious granary toast :) Good service and musak in the background. One of the better experiences and breakfasts and certainly worth a visit.

We live nearby and fancied breakfast this morning so paid our first visit to Benny's. A warm, friendly greeting when you arrive. Nice clean restaurant. Great music playing. Food came quickly when we ordered and everything was really nice, good quality and well cooked. Very reasonable prices too. We will definitely be going back!

The food was good and served nice and hot however I did have to wait about 20 minutes for it to arrive. The milkshake was a disappointment being literally flavoured milk with no thickener. I'm not sure I'll be visiting again.

Great independent restaurant serving insane portions, delicious food and all at a good cost. Have been here 3 times already and will definitely be returning again! I'd definitely recommend the Chili Hot Dog and the milkshakes.

We came for breakfast today, food was good and was all clean however once we got our food they never came to ask if we wanted any drinks or didn’t ask how the food was which was disappointing. Also people were sat without ordering for 10/15 minutes. I understand they where busy however I believe they where understaffed so not blaming the staff overall good experience

I have never had such lovely bacon and really well cooked. I am gluten free and they had what I needed.

Visited Benny's dinner for the first time today and I loved it. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the soft music in the background was all just amazing. Highly recommended and I think this is my new eat out spot moving forward.

Staff nice and friendly. Is roadside cafe nice food a little on the expensive side. Plenty of packing the cafe was clean and tidy.

The Buffalo Chicken burger was outstanding, and the milkshakes are proper old-school. Fab service and authentic diner atmosphere, this place deserves to be famous. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

If you like stepping back in time to the 50s in the U. S. A. You will certainly like this it's at the side of a Travel Lodge on the A 17 just outside Wisbech, the food was cooked lovely. & The staff were very pleasant and friendly, along with a large car park.

Amazing place, food is fantastic, service is friendly and cheerful. The best bit for us is that they allow dogs in as well. The staff even give your pooch a sausage to have while you eat. The food here is amazingly presented with very generous portions.

Was really looking forward to visiting Bennys Dinner for something to eat on our long journey. Unfortunately the menu is ludicrously overpriced for the poor quality food that is served up. The vanilla milkshake was thin, crunchy with undissolved milkshake powder and pretty grim. The 'Soup of the day' was very poor and strangely none of the staff knew what it was Supposed to be? The waiting staff were very friendly and gave quick service but overall it's one of the worse places I have been to. Two milkshakes and a soup for £17 !......Drive On people 🚗

In my opinion I felt that the steak wasn’t freshly cooked it seemed like it was precooked and then cooked if someone asked for it a bit tuff and a big piece of gristle the mushrooms were just warm the eggs were cooked to perfection the burger with pulled pork was nice just to much the coffee was nice and hot chocolate was nice would off been more stars but for the steak

Pulled into the carpark on 7/2/24 at 1900 and the waitress ran to the window put the blinds down, started putting chairs on rhe tables and turned off the open sign Very rude considering they're open for another hour Lost out on approx £70 bill Very disappointed

The whole experience was let down by one staff member. Here with my 3 yr old grandson and all the staff apart from our sever were lovely. She spoke to my grandson like he was an idiot and slung his ice cream on the table raising her voice when he struggled to decide if he wanted pees or beans. He's 3! She really let her team down. Disappointed.

Good food great service and a warm welcome

Stopped off after a recommendation. Welcomed by staff and our dog was greeted with a bowl of water and a sausage..... We all had burgers (dirty Mexican burger and chilli burger pictured) and they were excellent. Highly recommend dropping in. Diner probably needs a new lick of paint and a clean up outside but don't let it put you off.
