Telephone order for a takeaway, took theee and half hours to arrive despite 15 calls chasing the order to be fobbed off and lied to about the order being on the way. No apologies offered either

The Bengal Village is under new ownership/management. After bumping in to the owner delivering menus I decided to go. Thank goodness I did. Went with friends last night, what an absolutely fabulous meal, service and friendly place, I can honestly say it’s the best Indian meal my friends and I have ever had. I would highly recommend you go or have a take away. Will certainly be going back again.

Having not been for about 2 years and reading some poor recent reviews we were a little concerned that the food may not be as good as it always was. We needn't have worried though as it was as excellent as always. Having travelled to India many times and also eaten at some of the most authentic Indian restaurants in Leicestershire I can honestly say that the food here is up there with the very best!

Just had chicken chilli curry, tasted weird, binned it. Chicken tandoori starter, dry as hell. Paid for lamb samosa,didn't even get it. Won't be going again.worst takeaway had for years.

Since when doesn't a set meal not come with rice ? Now I have starter, curry and no rice.. well and truly ruined date night.. Be more specific on JustEat that you have to order rice separately and that you can't really call it a set menu when it has things missing

Avoid guys always drunk and your put on tik tok without permission he dances drunk and disrupts your meal food aint even that nice wont be returning

We order regularly from Bengal Village, it’s simply the best curry house around. Another order tonight, food arrived on time, fresh and hot. Chilli Garlic Duck blew my head off 😂😂. Free poppadoms and dip. Also cheekily requested an upgrade on the complimentary naan that comes with the tandoori mix and the guys duly obliged at no extra cost. Amazing service! Would 100% recommend this to anyone in the local area.

Ordered twice from this restaurant food is absolutely amazing always gives you extra poppadom and onion bhaji. Free Ordered Lamb balti with Keema Nan bread they were so fresh would highly recommend this restaurant Eaton in or takeaway. The staff are amazingly pleasant.

After a local restaurant closed down we looked for another venue to go tried three in Hinckley which were not good. We have been to this Restaurant four times now, the managers English not brilliant but always makes us welcome and looks after us, the food is wonderful the portions generous, would highly recomend

Had food from here (Take Out) a few times and the last experience was not good at all. The online system says you get onion bhaji free - we did not. Free popadoms - we got 2 for four people. Found the dishes very sweet to the point we did not eat - you could say this was the dishes we chose which is true however these were literally like a desert. Good quantity of food so can't complain about dish size but there are a lot of other indian food places around so don't think we would visit again.

We have been to all the curry houses in Hinckly and many others and the food here is by far the best the portions are great value for money and delicious - it would help these guys if takeaway orders would be more understanding that they are also trying to run a restaurant- the phone was going of every 10 seconds- patience is needed

One of the best Indians around for food, we are fairly regular and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, if you're in Hinckley give it a try, we visited last night and although busy they looked after us.

Don't use them on a Saturday night. Thought we'd treat our daughters to a takeaway and these guys took literally hours to deliver what was very mediocre food - much of it tasteless and burned. By the time it arrived we were too tired and annoyed to eat it

Have ordered from this restaurant many times and always enjoyed their food but absolutely appalled by their behaviour this evening. The food was supposedly delivered to a man, I am a solo female. I am completely accepting of the fact that mistakes happened but when questioning this and asking what they would do they shouted at me, hung up on me several times and refused to refund me. What a disappointing service!!!

Absolutely disgusted with the service from this restaurant. After 1hr 35 mins I rang to question where my order was. I was shouted out and hung up on multiple times. Then they told me they had delivered my order to a man at the side door! I am a woman on my own and don’t have a side door. To be shouted at and called a liar by a restaurant disgusts me and I will NEVER order from here again! Luckily, just eat have cancelled my order so I’ve not had to pay!

My daughter ordered via just eat as she has done many times before. Alway enjoyed thier food. Something went wrong as sometimes happens. However thier response shouting and behaviour was disgusting. Stay well away.

No quality ,overcharged me as it was a collection said it was an old internet menu price . Liar it was the same as your leaflet Price , Most of it went in the bin it was terrible , rice dry small meat like rubber , that’s the truth .back to the Simla for me

One of the best Indian cuisine in Hinckley. They have stayed open during the pandemic providing a pick up or delivrry take away service. Always very polite, nothings too much trouble. Always finished bloated and forefilled 😅 Well done guys hope you continue, lets hope things eventually return to near normal for the full experience.

Delicious food, best takeaway we have had in ages. Huge portions, really tasty and very reasonably priced. Food tastes as though it’s been cooked fresh and none of this one base in a large pot and used for every dish. Slight note of criticism is (and I appreciate that this must be really difficult during lock down) that it would be nice to feel, when collecting the food, that they were pleased to see you and to appreciate your custom.

First time ordering, will definitely be ordering again. Food is extremely tasty, well presented, great portions. Steaming hot on delivery ready to serve. Totally delicious, very impresssed.

Made an order last night at 7pm, was told 20-40 minutes for delivery, ring up at 7.40 to ask where it was, the lady advised its all cooked and ready, just waiting for the driver to come collect it will be with you. Driver turned up at 8.55pm, 1 hour & 55 minutes after ordering! Below and behold we open up the bag and they haven't sent our naan breads and the food was cold and really watery! Call them up to advise that we haven't received our naan breads to be greeted by a very rude gentleman on the phone being very snappy with me saying he will get them sent out to which I declined as food was already cold and didn't want to wait another 2 hours for food so asked for a refund to which the gentleman then hung on me! Food was very poor quality and the staff are very rude and I still haven't received my refund. Do not use this Indian unless you want to be disappointed!

The worst take away experience ever. Read the reviews they cannot deliver on time!!! Waited an hour and a half for delivery (just eat app) When food arrived it was not our order. Took another 15 min for the driver to return but he only collected the wrong order and still did not have our food. The person on the phone did not attempt to apologise on any of the 4 calls I had to make chasing the food. When I asked for a refund he hung up. Do not order take away from this place.

We had a free code to use from Uber Eats so we placed an order; our order was placed online and then cancelled by the restaurant. We rang the restaurant only to be told that they had never received the order; however Uber told us that the restaurant did not fulfill the order. Unhelpful, unfriendly attitude from the staff; would definitely not use again.

Best takeaway Indian in Hinckley by far... I’ve had around 20 from these guys and always great... don’t live up to previous reputations like some... Best dish for me is the Prawn Madras... simple I know but done great every time!! The combination dishes are great value too!!

Arrived cold, curry was simply bland and tasteless, with watery rice. Chicken was very dry and simply cooked in a paste. No fresh ingredients, quite disappointing will not be ordering again.

This is the second time I have had a takeaway from this restaurant. I normally prefer Chinese cuisine but my partner favours Indian. I have to say that the food was delicious and arrived at the time stated in their message to me. I would certainly recommend Bengal Village and I will certainly be ordering from them again.

It just tasted bland and sour for some reason. The curry didn't have a sauce it was more like a paste. Couldn't eat the food at all. Called them to ask for a refund or another curry. They said they were too busy and would give us a free curry next time. I will not be having a free curry as won't be ordering from them again.

Ordered a fully meal through just eat last week. Have used this curry house regularly with no problems, however not this time. I phoned to question if new owners and begged not to leave a bad review and to give them a chance to put right as would give me a free curry on next order. Just called to order and been told they now will not honour it. Please avoid this place, you get greasy food, curry's which are just sauce missing all ingredients. Popadoms that are that greasy make you feel sick and samosas that are pure grease when cut through. Absolutely disgusting and don't honour their word or care about regulars. Well lost one here and will make sure everyone I speak to knows how you treat people and how poor your food now is.

Very Poor Service! Our order arrived 2 hours later and we received the wrong order. They collected the wrong order and did not replace ours. They said we would get a refund from just eat and they would resend our order and it would come in 40 mins. Order never came!!!!! Bad customer service and 4 hours later we still hadn't received our order. Mohammed was very rude on the phone! Don't recommend at all.

Had a takeaway delivered. Everything arrived along with some free bhajis and poppadoms. Very plentiful and tasty, but way too much oil on top of every dish. We were extremely ill that night and for the next few days. We do love a good curry, but shall not eat from here again.

Too many times we have visited Indian restaurants with the pomp and ceremony only to be let down on taste. Agreed not the most romantic or high end decorated Indian locally but thete has been a.small uplift in the interior and with the crockery.Popadoms all fresh and crisp..starters excellent and all mains inc sides rices and nan breads were really excellent. Good value no nonsense place where you feel.able to get sown to good old family values of a good natter over quality resonably priced food. Staff have the right level.of attention as not to get in your way but make sure you have everything you need. One.small recommendation .. Ask the chef to keep a.mindful eye on the amount of ghee is uses in dishes..apart from that.. A converted new.customer

I have eaten at almost all the Indian restaurants in Hinckley and can say that this place has the worst food of all. The restaurant itself is very small and tired looking and the staff is also not friendly. The food was very greasy and tasteless. This is certainly not the best option for good Indian Food in Hinckley.

Ordered food, it arrived ten minutes earlier than expected, and hotter than any delivery place closer. Food was utterly amazing, aromatic and spicy, everything I wanted. Delivery driver polite and friendly. If I could give SIX stars I would... Highly recommended!

He estado trabajando en la zona durante varios meses y he estado aquí unas cuantas veces. La decoración no es nada que ver desde el exterior, pero no dejes que esto te desanime, la comida es increíble!

Como siempre buscando algo nuevo que probar y me encontré con este lugar. La comida era deliciosa y muy fresca. El pollo estaba licitación en platos que pedimos. Era un buen precio y entregado antes de que me dijeron.

El precio es una ganga, pero el servicio de los camareros son pobres. Se puede oír el 2 camareros insultos mientras hablando con la otra! La mayor parte estaba dejé 5 libras en la mesa el camarero se lo llevó y lo puso en el bolsillo y tranquilamente dijo gracias entonces le dije lo siento su propina pero puede mantener ahora que él rápidamente lo puso en su bolsillo. Desde aquí pedimos una comida y fue el peor indio que he tenido. El conductor era grosero y argumentos pueriles que él tenía para entregar mi comida. El pollo estaba dura la salsa no tenía sabor a y era muy aceitosa. El arroz de hongos también estaba lleno de aceite, el pan de queso pan también era insípida y fría. Evitar este lugar.

This is far the best Indian we have been to,we go her all the time now. Great portions for a £10 deal,so many different currys to choise frome we love this place.You can take your own drink but the lager is good.
