Food was very good quality and was plenty of it. Restaurant kept me updated to the progress of my meal. Very impressed overall

Amazing to see such a range of vegan classics available. Could do with other options being labelled as to whether vegan or not. Lovely helpful staff. Amazing taste and texture too. Very fresh and filling. Still very amazing food.

Last time we ordered here online we got a call 30minutes later to cancel the order. We thought we would try them again tonight and the food was horrible. Wet flavourless curry, crunchy tough chicken that felt like it had been microwaved. A madras as runny as water that was incredibly bland. Hard raw Bombay aloo. A biryani so salty it was inedible. £60 wasted and three plates of food in the bin.

Always amazing food and service

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Placed an order on Uber Eats which was accepted by the restaurant. Moments later got a notification that the order was cancelled because we asked them to. We did not. When we called the restaurant to ask why they cancelled, they advised it was because we were outside of their delivery radius and were most unhelpful and did not even apologise. As the restaurant told Uber we cancelled after they started cooking (untrue), we were charged. Now £60 down and spent the evening and now morning trying to get out money back. AVOID. Appears this is a fraudulent tac tic from the restaurant to receive the money and not fulfil the order. They should never have accepted it if they could not deliver.

I didn’t order anything particularly extravagant so was unimpressed at the 1.5 hour time between ordering and delivery of my food. Because it took so long I wanted it to hate it so I could write a bad review… but it was fantastic! Everything tasted delicious; the chicken was juicy and flavourful, the bhajis and samosas were crispy but not dry. I wouldn’t go as far to say it was worth the wait, but still very good nonetheless.

First time ordering from this take away.. lovely.. food was really nice and great flavour.. arrived warm and by a friendly chap.

The paneer shashlik was very poor indeed, worst we've ever had. No flavour in any of it - small cubes of paneer and tasteless veg. Didn't eat it.

Called the restaurant at 19.20 to be told it would arrive in 5 minutes. No reason given for the lateness and a fleeting apology provided. Didn’t arrive until 10 minutes later, driver then went to the wrong door 3 times and only found our door when I spotted him!

despicable customer service and the restaurant didn't want to take responsibility terrible experience and i still had to pay for food that never turned up I'm going to trading standards to take it further surely it cant be right ??????

Probably the worst curry we’ve ever had!! Ordered chicken tikka and got chewy old boiled chicken! The sauce had hard chilli seeds in it, onion barges were dry and tasted old….soggy popadoms… Like most new Indian takeaway’s they start off well but rapidly decline!! Disappointed with the poor food and won’t be eating from here again. ***No hygiene rating certificate displayed*** Perhaps is not worth of showing??

Absolutely beautiful, highly recommend you eat here, not local to the area, so glad we tried this, recommend all the starters as we had most of them.

The delivery driver was amazing

Chicken tikka starters was watery and tasteless, also it wasn't like the normal chicken tikka that's a red colour. Chicken biryani hardly had any chicken in it and vegetable curry was not that good either. I have had a lot of different curries over the years and this was probably one of the worst.

We've tried all the curry houses in Uckfield and long been fans of the one across the road BUT these guys have something special going on. 1) Something about their recipes mean you don't end up with that bloated feeling 2) portions are not scrimped on 3) the food is delicious 4) the prices are reasonable and 5) the service is excellent. Friends and family have said how "Excellent" Bengal Spice is compared to their own curry houses. For such a small place (takeaway only) their offering is phenomenal. Keep up the great work!

Food arrived at a great time (I had asked for asap). All really hot (my pudding was cold! Yay) I love the little glass dishes the desserts are delivered in. All reusable. Great service and good quality.

We have a takeaway most weeks Last night I ordered a takeaway nearly hour late no communication to say it was going to be later I had to contact them food then arrived , we did not get all our order so had to ring them again missing items were bought back out Food was Luke warm , no flavour and full of oil in the bottom of the vegetable dishes Very poor food and service

Have ordered from here in the past and each time disappointed yet each time I hope it was an exception. Food is bland - that’s the truth. Totally bland and for a curry, that’s the last thing you expect. This time was the last time.

Had lamb sheek starter. I’m pretty good with spice but this was completely inedible. Ruined any other food I would eat for the evening.

Veggie balti was really nice, good size portions, not too greasy and the order arrived exactly on time

I’ve tried pretty much all the Indian takeaways in the area and this is the one I always go back to. Good sized portions, great variety and the quality is top notch. Nice friendly staff and drivers. Highly recommended from me!

Food was excellent and arrived hot. Portions are generous and we got two meals out of the one order. The best yet from this takeaway and definitely the best in Uckfield!

Driver didn’t read the delivery instruction, then was very late, then I spoke with him and he still didn’t listen to the directions. Food was stone cold.

The onion bhajis were actually inedible. Hard on the outside and exceptionally dry in the middle. The Sag Paneer tasted of nothing.

When ordering we were told 35 to 55 minutes but when order was completed we were told 60 to 90 minutes. This is not the first time this has happened, and if they are trying to get customers by offering a low order time only to up it once the order is complete , they will not be having our custom again..

I had a text saying it was on its way,20mins later,I then had to put in the oven as the food was not hot. I finally ate at 8.50 pm..not nice going to sleep on a full tummy..heartburn..Disappointing.

Very tasty food and fairly reasonably priced. The chefs special was extra tasty with very tender chicken, arrived bang on for the time I'd ordered it for.

No flavour.lack of spices bland and Luke warm. Popadom was tiny and tasted like a dog chew

Have had 2 takeaways so far and both have been superb. Chicken tikka is soft and succulent, the sauces are packed with flavour, the sides are cooked perfectly and not swimming in oil like some other establishments. its always delivered piping hot too. So glad we found this gem of a curry house. Had i of known about this place before we moved here, i would have happily driven (from Heathfield, 11miles) to collect it.

Moved to Uckfield from Heathfield and a neighbour here recommended Bengal Spice. Second curry we have had delivered from them tonight and so far out of several restaurants we have tried it’s ranking tops with us too, delicious well made deep tasty sauce, moist chicken, (I always tikka it then pick a curry) a wonderful treat and a welcome find. 👍🏻👏🏻👍🏻👏🏻

Second order from this gem of a curry house. Just as perfectly cooked as the last order. This is now my go-to place for a curry. If i knew about this place before i moved to Uckfield, i would have happily driven from Heathfield to collect.

This is one of the best Indians I’ve had in a very long time. The Chicken Madras was excellent as was the Bombay Aloo. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

We’ve ordered from here before and had a great experience, however this time round we were very disappointed as whilst the food turned up within the timeframe given, it was luke-warm, almost cold. The reason for 3 stars for delivery is that they were on time but it was cold. I had ordered poppadoms which were missing from the order but I got a refund on these via the app, however it meant that the 2 onion salads I ordered went to waste as we had no poppadoms to go with them. I tried to call the restaurant to sort it out but they didn’t answer the phone. Overall really disappointed as we were looking forward to our takeaway. I don’t usually leave poor reviews but I couldn’t even get through to the restaurant to give them the feedback personally.

I don't live in the area so this choice was a stab in the dark. What a good choice I made! On point service from the first point of contact. Friendly, efficient and very quick service. The food was fresh, beautifully cooked to perfection and delivered very promptly, with a smile 😊👍. I would highly recommend and will certainly order again when I'm in the area. I don't have any photos as I was keen to eat and forgot to take them! How I wish I could respond to negative reviews.. In particular, Lisa Harpers one star review. I recently watched a TV review about ordering through Apps such as Just Eat, Deliveroo etc and how the local businesses are charged 30% commission. Lisa Harper attempted to order via Just Eat and received poor service. That's not the fault of the establishment you're ordering from. You may not know that, but having watched this programme I've learnt, order direct. I've not used Apps to order, ever, and never will, because I believe in looking after local businesses. This is not directed at Lisa Harper, at all, but, try calling your chosen restaurant /takeaway direct. You'll undoubtedly have a better experience,. I guarantee it.

Lovely quick meal. Good menu choice. Maybe, for some, just lacking the nth degree of flavour compared to others in the area, but pretty good and our daughter thought it the best she’d had.

Great service & delicious food. Ordered a takeaway and the person who answered the phone was very polite and our food was ready to collect in 25 mins. Very clean inside the shop and again, polite service. We ordered a king prawn biryani, chicken tikka biryani, Bombay aloo, saag aloo, peshwari naan and vegetable samosa and it was all fresh and delicious. Great portion sizes. Highly recommend.

Having previously ordered from here thought we would give it a go again. Unfortunately a disappointing meal. The Korma sauce didn’t have much of a taste to it and was very watery, whilst the saag paneer was bitter and bitty. Bombay potatoes were a lot more spicy than the last time and not enjoyable either.
