Nice food. I’ve been here a few times and the takeaways are consistently good. The restaurant itself is a bit ‘school dinner hall’ type decor, but no faulting the food or service. The decor could do with an update, and not really a place for a couple’s intimate meal, but that’s not going to stop me going back over and over again. On the takeaway front, a biryani, a side, a drink and a naan is around £20.

Lovely lovely spot! So sad we have only just found it. Food was excellent and so affordable. Service was 10/10, great staff!

Delicious food and drink with very personable service. Sure it may not be the cheapest Asian restaurant in town, but I always believe in the phrase you get what you pay for. Would certainly return and I hope it’s not too long.

Had a fabulous evening. Food very tasty and plentiful. All staff extremely friendly and attentive. Went out of their way to make sure every need was met and went above and beyond. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back. Would 100% recommend to others.

We like this takeaway and order it often. Dal and paneer are my favourites. Many dishes are spicy and this is not always indicated on the menu. I like spicy, but be aware if you don't.

Found this place thanks to an advertisement board on the main road while looking for food outside our nearby hotel Novotel London Canary Wharf. Staff was welcoming and the menu was simple, filled with Indian cuisine that we are familiar with and decent pricing at that. We had naan (each piece is huge!), butter chicken, cauliflower, potato, and fragrant rice, all of which were tasty and yummy. Recommended if you are in the vicinity.

First time trying out the restaurant and we wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic food; we like to share and the table was perfect for sharing. Mixed starter, madras and chicken tikka 10/10. The best however was the service. John and Royce looked after us. They were full of character but also very professional. As a trainer of customer service this is exactly how to be. Both represented the restaurant in a very positive light. Location is perfect and so close to everything in Canary Wharf. Looking forward to coming back again very soon.

When we arrived we received a really warm welcome. The staff here were very friendly and went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. The meals were exceptional, ingredients you could tell were fresh, no frozen stuff here! If you ask for chicken, then chicken is what you get. The restaurant is very clean with a modern feel, but it has a really good ambiance. On our next visit from France, we will definitely return

We visited when staying at the Hilton. The staff were super friendly and helpful with our 2 sons. The service was fast and attentive. Prices were very reasonable for beer and curry. The nan breads were lovely super fresh and tasty. Lamb dansak had tender lamb and great flavour. Garlic chilli chicken was tender with a good spice using green chilli. Really impressed with the quality and pricing. Would highly recommend.

I visited for dinner on Saturday night. I had pre-booked but really didn't need to as it was very empty (7.45pm). I was staying at the Hilton so this was a very convenient location and only across the road! I had the tandoori chicken and saag bhaji. The saag bhaji was actually one of the best I've had anywhere! The tandoori chicken was tasty and served sizzling as it should be, the salad was missing though. The prices were decent and the service was friendly.

I had a busy day and started the evening off with a few drinks in the Hilton Canary Wharf who recommended the Quay. I'm so glad they did, the lamb rezalla was superb, just enough spice, fall apart soft to eat, complimented with a lovely bindi. I will visit again, thank you.

Terrific table side service after a week of bar ordering. Staff was excellent as was the food! From the garlic naan to the Chicken Tikka Masala everything was wonderful. Also the King Cobra beer was good too! Highly recommend.

Brilliant food, great service always

For the first time in a while I felt that every dish I ordered just lacked flavour. Starters were either greasy or bland (other than the samosa). All the Mains lacked flavour. Disappointed with the Manchurian as that usually packs a punch. Same with the lamb karahi, which felt like it was cooked as meat rolled around in curry gravy, cooked in a tonne of oil. Did not feel great about spending £45 on a meal on New Year’s Eve which left me disappointed.

10/10-gal Quay more like! The paneer curries are a regular for us. Delivery is usually punctual and always polite. Tastes fresh, comes hot and occasionally with an extra poppadom.

Had a lovely meal last night. Easy walk next to the Hilton. Great food and service. Can recommend the chicken jalfrezi. The only downside was as we ate early the. Restaurant lacked atmosphere as was pretty quiet.

We discovered Bengal Quay over lockdown and it became our go to for Indian takeaway. The curries are excellent and are of high quality. Now that things are opening up again we decided to try eating out at the restaurant and we were not disappointed....

Estábamos en Londres para ir a Wimbledon y decidimos quedarnos en Canary Wharf para variar. Viniendo de Glasgow, la capital del curry de Escocia, decidimos dar el paso y probar un curry en Londres. Debo decir que nos sorprendió gratamente, la comida era excelente, sabrosa y abundante y, lo mejor de todo, la relación calidad-precio. Noticed the restaurant by chance walking back to our hotel. Thought we'd Google it and was quite surprised by the prices, not London at all. Decided to give it a go and disappointed we were not, each dish was cooked to our liking and the breads were spot on. Throw in good service and what more could you ask for?

In fact it’s closer to Heron Quays DLR, exit right through Obica Mozzarella Bar, over the bridge, straight on past some a host of fast food vans, then turn right at the Hilton and it’s in the building to the right up a short flight of steps. Past a glitzy bar into a large dining room with all the atmosphere of an office. Tables with trendy elongated chairs. Had to ask about the set lunch (£11.95 for two courses plus side plus rice) although the extensive a la carte looked quite reasonably priced. Ordered two poppadoms. Both freshly baked. Pickles (a carrousel of four) 75p extra. Chicken tikka starter was a generous plate of four chunky pieces served with a miniature tomato some greenery and a slice of lemon ready to be crushed in metal pincers. A pint of Cobra was refreshing. Then came the mains. Although the waiter confirmed it was lamb korai a few tastes of the same chunky pieces of meat I’d enjoyed as a starter proved it to be chicken. And I should have realised the Bombay potatoes accompanying it were not the sag aloo I’d ordered. But £11.95 for two courses anywhere near Canary Wharf represents superb value for money. Perhaps no surprise then that many others walked in during my meal including a group of twenty or so office workers.

The food is really good and of good quality, the service was very good as well! We enjoyed our dinner. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and ..., the food was absolutely worth the price! They are charging a service fee (4.95).

Enjoyed a family meal out at Bengal Quay on Friday. It was very close to our hotel - which made it ideal. There was lots of space & lots of tables, but not much atmosphere. The waiters were very attentive & took our drink order straight away.

My third visit. I have tried a range of dishes. I love an Indian curry. The service is always very good, informed and friendly. A good price. I’ll be back.

The lamb dish was very oily to the point it had an unpleasant texture. The spiced okra and the spinach dishes were much more enjoyable. Overall, nothing wowed here and you could easily find a much better Indian for a comparable price.

Sábado por la noche y entramos justo antes de las 10 pm y pregunté si había una mesa. Dije que sí y estaban sentados. Ordenó inmediatamente como teníamos hambre. Esperé mucho tiempo para la comida (45 minutos) considerando que solo había 4 o 5 mesas ocupadas. Luego nos sirvieron el primer plato y 2 minutos más tarde todos los platos principales, pero no hay problema. Toda la comida era inusual pero de buena calidad, bien cocinada, sabrosa y con un precio razonable.

Their food is very nice and it has the feeling that you are on holiday because of its location. They serve us very quickly and the onion bhajis and the chicken Korma are delicious. I was taken to this several times by a friend and it shows that she really liked it a lot.

Situated near Canary Wharf (South Quay) I visited this place following a London Conference at the Hilton. Reviews state this place is very good, but unfortunately I must disagree and give this place an average score. The staff are good and the starters were ok but the mains were bland. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We were staying in Caray Wharf but were planning on eating Soho until the Indian restaurant we were hoping to eat in we're full.

The food was amazing went here on my own staying away for work ! If you visit have the Hugh Hefner curry if you like spice ask to have it slightly hotter ! Staff were a good laugh too !

We visited in a large group last night with 4 families and kids. Waiter was very rude.

This is my second time to this restaurant and I came here because I was attending a trade show on my own at the Excel. When travling alone I dont like to go to places where I feel cramed in I like space and I dont like to feel rushed. This restaurant is perfect it is popular but there is plently of space, the staff are attentive but not in your face and the quality is fantastic.

I've tried them all and this is (by quite some way) the best Indian food in the Docklands.

I have to say, I visited due to the large number of positive reviews, however, don’t be fooled as it isn’t anything special. The food arrived promptly the staff kept there distance and the bill wasn’t extortionate. That all being said, the rest let it down, dips at the start certainly weren’t fresh, the rice was well over cooked, dry and sticking to the plate, the naan was tiny and the curry was very greasy! Not what I was expecting!

Bit of a hidden gem... not that obvious amongst all the other eateries in Canary Wharf, but this proved to be a lucky find. The service was exceptional, the food was clearly freshly cooked and enjoyed by all. Super flavours and textures to enjoy. Excellent.

Bengal Quay offers a superb dining experience. The menu offers a mix of both classic and lesser known Indian food with delicious aromatic flavours. I thoroughly recommend the chef's recommendations though which is what we both chose.Their King Prawn Puri was exquisitely flavoured. All the waiters were absolutely superb, attentive yet discreet and clearly offering a personalised dining experience- best service we have ever received. Thank you Bengal Quay! We shall definitely return and recommend to friends!

En esta ciudad de gran restaurantes indios, Bengal Quay es normal. Yo tenía una Gambas Puri y el pan frito era flojo y correosos - sabía a que había sido preprared antes y recalentado en el microondas. El Cordero Pasanda era tierna pero aceitosa y el anacardo habían perdido su crujido. El ajo Naan era deliciosa, pero también tenía la consistencia de haber sido recalentados. El servicio era muy acogedor y atento y el restaurante está a un tiro de piedra desde el hotel Hilton Canary Wharf.

After watching the Saracens v Harlequins match at the London Stadium we went to this restaurant for dinner. There were five of us and we all enjoyed the meal. The service was good and the waiters were very friendly. The setting was clean and modern and the price was very reasonable.

I went there alone. Ordered shrimps as starter, some chicken curry as main dish and rice as side dish.

Very disappointed, way too much oil, salad was in a doggy bag, food was cold, mint sauce was sweet, too expensive for what it was. Advice think twice before going there.i surely wont be.

I visited this Hotel near Canary Wharf station. It has delicious Indian food. I had ordered for Chicken. It was too good. The rotis were awesome. The food rate is reasonable and value for money. Do visit for Indian food.Good for solo, friends and family.

I have been to Bengal Quay a number of times now and cannot fault it. The food has always been delicious, especially the lamb tikka starter which is a personal favourite. The staff are very on the ball and extremely polite and courteous. This I the best place to go for food of this kind (Indian/Bengali) in E14. Keep up the great work, I hope to be visiting for many years to come.

We visited Bengal Quay Saturday evening and I have to say it was outstanding. We are from Yorkshire visiting our daughter and four of us went to the Bengal Quay. Being in Canary Wharf I thought the prices were going to be comparable with some other restaurants in Canary Wharf, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! The staff were superb, the food was sublime and the prices were cheaper than some restaurants visited in Yorkshire. I had a chicken tikka bhuna (madras hot) and it was £7.95. It was beautiful, spiced to perfection and the whitest chicken you could wish for. The other parties dishes were just as tasty. Well done Bengal Quay you are our go to place on all future cisits

So being my birthday and visiting London with family weekend break etc thought go for a nice meal.So was staying close by in Canary Wharf we came across Bengal quays booked a table and food wasn’t all that it wasn’t fresh it’s like putting it into a wok and stirred!!!!!Anywho the waiter brings the bill he then says in a quiet voice it’s £££ and walks off....That’s just darn rude....Never again will be visiting this place Shocking service and rude Mr M
