Great India Tandoori in Kensington and Chelsea

Food is delicious…we ordered Butter Nan,Butter chicken and chicken green masala ,lamb biryani all items are yummy.Butter Nan is soft .Butter chicken is kid friendly (spice level).we enjoyed the food .👍🏻

This restaurant was established in 1958 and still going strong. They must be doing something right. We had great food, very good service and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We will be back.

We found this Indian Restaurant near our hotel, it was so good, we went back the last night of our holiday! The food was delicious! It's a small restaurant, but big on flavor! I look forward to eating there again the next time I visit.

Small and quaint restaurant with big taste and family friendly! We love visiting everytime we are in London. We get the usuals but I especially love the lamb biryani and lamb curry. The peshwari naan is like a dessert in itself. Big miss if you do not hit up this place for dinner! The staff is amazing!

Great little restaurant. The meals were delicious. The spiciness ratings on the menu helped us find just the right spiciness. The service staff was very friendly. The variety of spices in Indian cuisine comes into its own in the large selection of dishes. In my opinion, a very good price-performance ratio for London standards. Only the online reservation requires a little patience and too much data.

Perfectly ok Indian with adequate but not special food. However, we ordered two papadums yet three were brought, together with the usual chutneys. When the bill came they had charged for three, and also charged for the usual chutneys. This sort of petty deception is simply unacceptable and I will look elsewhere for a new local Indian restaurant.

You can’t come to London without eating Indian food. This place has been around for 65 years, and for good reason. It is a humble setting, but they take their food seriously. The menu is a bit overwhelming so we asked a very knowledgeable waiter to guide us and he did us right with some of the chef specialties. Being a novice with Indian food, honestly, I can’t remember the names. But the overall meal was excellent for a casual nights dinner. And almost everything was available gluten-free.

Very welcoming staff and the place is lovely. The food was very underwhelming. I had the smallest samosas I’ve ever had and it felt like they were bought at Tesco or somewhere. The chicken Kurma was ok but very one dimensional and only tasted of coconut.

Best Indian food I've ever had!!!

Excellent service & delicious food . The waiter explained the spice levels and offered me a very flavourful & less spicy alternative. He even offered us a glass of wine on the house as he saw we were weary travellers!

Fantastic service, we walked in for dinner on a Monday and there were plenty of tables available. The staff is very attentive and the food was INCREDIBLE. We had paneer and meat samosas as starters, followed by buttered chicken and chicken kurma. Will be returning again soon!

Great experience finding an Indian restaurant in Chelsea: lovely ambience, attentive service and an authentic selection of food. Even our demanding children left nothing left: whether chicken curry/masala, chicken from the tandoori or lamb green masala: tender, juicy meat, the spices finely balanced, subtle spiciness that supports the taste. The Nan slightly crispy, not too greasy. Drinks: the mango lassi with an ideal thick consistency; dry, slightly nutty Prosecco; Indian beer (carbonated!) on tap: an enjoyable evening. Thank you!

As a French person, it was my first time at an Indian restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised! The dishes were superbly crafted with delicious flavors. We tried various items from the menu, including drinks, and the prices for each were reasonable, if not low, for a London restaurant. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and attentive team that explained everything we asked about. The waiter was very kind, and you could even have a nice conversation with him. The environment was welcoming and clean. A perfect culinary experience that I highly recommend !!

Very good Indian food in a nice little restaurant. The Bhuna Chicken was special and very tasty. Overall, the food is a little less spicy than advertised, so you can order something spicier. Nice, attentive staff.

Chef Raja and server shipar were top notch! After a long day of travel they were extremely welcoming and provided the best meal that we had in europe.

Truly the absolute best meal we had in Europe! We traveled all day and we were starving. Stumbled upon this family owned business and course after course was a gastronomic experience. Truly worth the visit! They have been here since the 1950s please support this incredible gem in restaurant!

I visited this place with family and was deeply impressed by their food and the amount of care the staff took to accommodate our dietary needs. The staff was very kind and ensured that we had a great experience! My wife forgot to pick her bag that she had left under the table while having dinner. One of the staff, Mr.Suhair spotted that and humbly returned it back to us, even though we were almost a block away from the restaurant. A big thanks to the team for making our day with excellent food & service!

Mum and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here on our first night in London. The servings were generous, flavours delicious and the staff were so friendly. We had a great discussion about cricket after our meal. A brilliant start to the holiday.

We looked at it from the outside and the tables were nicely laid so we thought we try it out. Unfortunately, the food was really (and totally unexpectedly) bad in that it was very overcooked and didn’t taste Indian at all. It was an impromptu choice on our part… we‘ve been to many Indian restaurants in London in the past but never experienced anything like it… hence we decided to give this review. The service was friendly and tried their best so it’s a shame that for whatever reason they brought out this mediocre food. Very sad.

A small space with big flavor. Non-descript signage out front but so worth visiting. A hidden gem a la NYC neighborhood restaurant. Food was full of flavor. Service had a formal vibe but very comfortable. Service staff were all experienced and on top their service game. Menu has a huge selection of plates. Very happy with our choice and would visit again. Space was tight in the dining room a la NYC restaurants.

Yum. First, the tikka masala was delicious. The chicken was tender, the sauce was perfect, a little sweeter than usual but still absolutely hit the spot. It’s a comfort dish, and something I order from every Indian restaurant I go to. This was really terrific. We also had the chicken vindaloo (which was WAY spicier than anticipated) but also still really flavorful. I think it was marked with 4 Chilies on the menu and then we got a lamb dish that was marked with 3 Chilies and it wasn’t spicy… like tikka masala spicy. Just something to look out for, not a complaint - but the jump in spicy was big! Anyways our server was kind, swift and did a great job. Plus the pickle and mint sauce were the best I’ve EVER had. If I lived in London this would be a regular place for me!

Splendid WC, absolutely 5 star service

We were visiting London for a couple of nights before jumping on a cruise, while walking around the Sloane area near dinner time we looked up nearby Indian restaurants. Indian restaurants are very popular in London and some of the best Indian chefs from around the world has taken up residency here. We ordered a chicken dish that had a tomato, butter base as well as a side of rice. It was excellent. Before the meal, they can bring out a crispy Indian crepe thing with pickles, very tasty. For dessert, we had an almond ice cream, an Indian delicacy. Don't hesitate to go here.

This restaurant is close to Sloane Square. The service was very nice and welcoming. The food was quite good. Portions were slightly small. I really enjoyed the okra & spinach paneer. We all loved the papadum with chutneys to start. The Cadbury flake ice cream dessert was excellent.
