Popped into the Great India on a cold Monday night. The restaurant was busy, always a good sign. I ordered a chicken naga and plain rice, along with half a Kingfisher lager. The service was excellent, and the curry was beautifully cooked. The chicken naga had great flavour, and the heat was just right, between madras and vindaloo. I am looking forward to my next visit to the Great India, which is only a four minute walk from Sloane Square underground station.

El servicio era muy bueno, y el Naga cuando llegó estaba en tubería caliente y el calor era justo, entre madras y vindaloo justo como Naga debe ser. De principio a fin, la comida era simplemente excepcional: sabrosa, perfectamente especiada e increíblemente morada. El curry de langostinos era rico pero ligero en la paleta y lleno de profundidad, mientras que el vástago de cordero se derretía - en - la boca tierna, lleno de especias fragantes. El hígado de pollo se cocinó a la perfección con una total comodidad de “receta secreta de la abuela”, un delicioso placer, y las papas fritas de okra eran crujientes y adictivas. Took my daughter to her favourite restaurant for Valentine’s Day and we are both still talking about how good it was the next day. We had our usuals and her favourites (Matar Paneer, Butter Chicken, Raita) but asked for a recommendation and the Tandoori King Prawns he recommended were one of the best things I’ve had in so long! I really can’t stop thinking about them. Highly recommend! Thank you for being so wonderful to us always!

Found this place by chance after the rugby last weekend. Four of us (two couples) staying in Sloane Square. What a find! Super friendly exceptional staff and the most delicious food! We will definitely be back!

I always come in without a reservation, and not only the food but also the customer service is very good. It's crowded with locals, friendly and comfortable. Lamb curry is extremely delicious.

Naz is a top waiter - me and my dad have been coming here for a while and we always go for the chicken tikka with curry sauce it is amazing !!

A group of six of us had a fantastic evening at Great India. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great night. The service was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding—rich, flavorful curries with just the right amount of spice, beautifully cooked with some lovely draught beers and popadoms to starts. We left full, happy, after a lovely evening and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended.

Wow what an experience, I live up north and would consider the journey for how tasty this food was. The waiters were so friendly and patient with our big group, helped us to customise orders to our needs and even knew exactly what kind of curry I'd want from a flavour profile I gave. The poppadoms were perfect with what I consider the best pickle tray, onions baji were lovely, the curry and my onions pilau rice was outstanding. I even tried an Indian tea at the end as recommended and it was 10/10. Such a warm and accommodating place, we all clapped for the chefs. It felt very homely and nothing was too much to ask. Highly reccomend, our whole table was extremely happy 😊

Wrost food I have ever had during my London Stay from this restaurant. food was so uncooked. I order Chana masala & Saag paneer with chapatti & Tandoori kulcha. Both was so thick & both totally uncooked also veg dishes taste terrible, totally threw away & we ordered something else. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED ❌❌

My partner and I dined at this restaurant for the first time and were impressed by the quality and taste of the food. We have eaten at other local Indian restaurants but preferred this one. The staff were attentive.

This could be the best Indian food I’ve tried in London. We ordered many dishes and everything was superb. The kids loved it, too! This was such a great find and I can’t wait to return during our next visit.

Delicious food, amazing service. We had the veg biryani, chicken naga, and Chana masala and it was all delicious. They had good options for our vegetarian friends. Also love a good kingfisher beer! We will be back soon.

I tried take away for the first time from this long standing, well established Indian restaurant. I was so impressed with the generous portions and absolutely blown away by the quality and flavours. The garlic naan was light, fluffy and garlic buttery. The mushrooms in the mushroom rice were fresh. The chicken patia had a really great sauce with tomato red pepper and a touch of lemon, not spicy but not bland either. My favorite the lamb balti had a slight kick to it, smooth and rich with a hint of tangy pickle! The daal was delicious, went perfectly with the rice and naan. Chicken tikka was moist with balanced flavours, nice big pieces as were the king prawns. The young gentleman Istiak, was extremely helpful in explaining what each item was and recommending the most popular. Delivery was very prompt. My new favorite restaurant!

Our visit to the Indian restaurant was overall pleasant. The food was good but there were some differences in the dishes. While one dish was authentically Indian, the other had a more British twist. One point that should be mentioned is the lack of possibility to change a baby, which can be inconvenient for families with small children. In addition, the space was a bit tight, which affected the comfort of eating. However, the staff was very friendly and pleasant, which made the evening positive despite some minor inconveniences. Despite these aspects, we enjoyed the evening and can recommend the restaurant for a culinary excursion into Indian cuisine.

I used to visit this wonderful restaurant in my younger years, so while in the area, I wanted to return and show my family how excellent it was. It did not disappoint! We received an exceptionally-warm welcome from the lovely staff and felt immediately comfortable in its lovely, cosy setting. The food, which we chose from a very well-designed menu, was absolutely delicious and very reasonably-priced. We also enjoyed our drinks, choosing from a wide selection. This gem of a restaurant has not lost any of its quality since my last visit. It's also refreshing to see such a friendly and affordable restaurant in such an exclusive area. We shall be back again soon!

This restaurant was established in 1958 and still going strong. They must be doing something right. We had great food, very good service and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We will be back.

We found this Indian Restaurant near our hotel, it was so good, we went back the last night of our holiday! The food was delicious! It's a small restaurant, but big on flavor! I look forward to eating there again the next time I visit.

Small and quaint restaurant with big taste and family friendly! We love visiting everytime we are in London. We get the usuals but I especially love the lamb biryani and lamb curry. The peshwari naan is like a dessert in itself. Big miss if you do not hit up this place for dinner! The staff is amazing!

Great little restaurant. The meals were delicious. The spiciness ratings on the menu helped us find just the right spiciness. The service staff was very friendly. The variety of spices in Indian cuisine comes into its own in the large selection of dishes. In my opinion, a very good price-performance ratio for London standards. Only the online reservation requires a little patience and too much data.

Perfectly ok Indian with adequate but not special food. However, we ordered two papadums yet three were brought, together with the usual chutneys. When the bill came they had charged for three, and also charged for the usual chutneys. This sort of petty deception is simply unacceptable and I will look elsewhere for a new local Indian restaurant.

You can’t come to London without eating Indian food. This place has been around for 65 years, and for good reason. It is a humble setting, but they take their food seriously. The menu is a bit overwhelming so we asked a very knowledgeable waiter to guide us and he did us right with some of the chef specialties. Being a novice with Indian food, honestly, I can’t remember the names. But the overall meal was excellent for a casual nights dinner. And almost everything was available gluten-free.

Very pleasant experience in this restaurant. Small but cozy place. Friendly attention and very good recommendations for our first visit. We will be back soon!
