Delicious food and very polite staff!

Phenomenal service with very attentive wait staff. The chicken rogon had a very pleasant taste and paired with a garlic nann is a very delicious combination. Other items from my table include a succulent and well cooked lamb curry with pilau rice. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today was the first time I had Indian food outside of the United States—and I will be seriously missing this place! By far the best I’ve ever ever eaten. Everything from the veggie samosas, mushroom rice, garlic naan and stuffed paratha to the lamb curry was so flavorful—even for us folks who like it all mild. The tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly with tender white meat. The star was the eggplant dish—grilled with garlic and spices in a light tomato sauce. Did I mention dessert was coconut ice cream served in half a coconut shell? All this deliciousness was enjoyed in a very pretty intimate dining room with a friendly and helpful wait staff. An excellent experience!

My first experience eating Indian food in England and I wasn’t disappointed. The servers are kind and attentive, and the food left everyone in my party full and satisfied. The walk from the underground is super quick and lovely to look at. I would return!

A convenient local Indian restaurant and we popped in for an early supper after a long day. Service was good and staff friendly and efficient but food was distinctly average and quite expensive too. Shame.

Probably the best Indian restaurant in London. Over the last few weeks we've tried five Indian restaurants in London. But this one was by far the best. We were there with two children, 12 and 14, and two adults. Everyone was thrilled. Great delicious food and very nice service. A real insider tip. So sad we discovered it on our last night. We can't wait until we get back to London.

What a lovely neighborhood resto! We had a delicious meal there NYE, what a cute place. It’s a neighborhood gem, as we saw a few tables that were clearly regular customers. The staff was amazing, so polite and kind and treated us like old friends. Good food- Naan bread TO DIE FOR! but what really stands out was the staff and service.

There’s obviously an issue here with the waiter, as looking at previous comments other diners have said the same - we walked out as he was so rude and unwelcoming. The owners really need to get a grip of this individual as he’s costing them business.

The worst dining experience! We ordered nan, tandoori chicken, curry prawn, beer and tea. Don't know why only our table has not been served the tray of condiments. And the server attitude was rude. The so-called "prawn" in curry was as small as a bean and not fresh. The spice of curry does not have any aroma but sugar. The seat is too small and not a comfortable place for dining. Bad choice!!!

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem netten kleinen indischen Restaurant in London und sind online auf "Great India" gestossen. Der Service war total freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns geholfen, unsere Speisen auszusuchen. Das Essen war sehr lecker- wir hatten Papadums mit Chutney, Butter Chicken und ein exotisch gewürztes Lammgericht Naan, Reis und Nan Brot. Das Restaurant ist klein und freundlich eingerichtet. Bei unserem nächstem Besuch in London kommen wir wieder hier vorbei.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Great India, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Despite the restaurant being full, we were seated promptly, which was a great start to our evening. The service throughout our visit was exceptional - quick, efficient, and attentive. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. It was evident that the chefs Mr Raja at Great India take great pride in their culinary creations. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the manager Mr Milon of this establishment for running such a smooth and organized service. The entire staff was friendly and professional, contributing to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. The attention to detail and customer satisfaction was truly remarkable. Thanks to everyone of this restaurant to provided us a wonderful services.

I stopped in here with three friends tonight after we decided to abandon our run early for some food. The food was delicious, and service was great. Our waiter was really funny. Despite us showing up sweaty in running gear, they were really nice and accommodating to us. We had free flaming sambuca shots and chocolates at the end which was super fun, a great way to kick off Christmas celebrations. Thank you for the great hospitality, we will definitely be back.

We were visiting the UK from Australia and wanted to grab an Indian meal, and this is apparently one of the oldest continuously running restaurants in the city. The food was great, service was excellent and they were able to prepare most dishes gluten free. Definitely worth a visit

Late leaving this review - we visited in September with overseas guests who's first experience of Indian cuisine was at this restaurant. The staff were very patient and attentive in explaining the menu to my guests and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our waiter had a great sense of humour and was very kind - thanks so much for the great experience!

Incredible service, great value for money and so much option! We were treated so well during our visit and that will be the main reason for returning. The food was lovely and there was so much to choose from. The mint ice cream at the end was the perfect palate cleanser! Thank you :-)

Visited here with my friend. We both used to live and work at Chelsea Barracks and we delighted to see this restaurant is still here, our first visit in 34 years. The Curry was very tasty, perfectly spicy and very good portion sizes. The service by the staff was also very good. Recommend this venue.

Fantastic meal at Great India while on vacation. I lived in London years ago and wanted my family to understand why I love Indian cuisine so much. This place showed them why. Started with the best papadams…light and crispy and salty. So good. Ordered chicken vindaloo for our spice loving son, duck, lamb, and saag paneer. Tried an Indian ice cream for dessert. Loved everything! If I lived here this would be our once a week spot for sure!

Poor quality. A waiter asking for a tip. The other encouraging him. I have never seen something more pathetic and greedy in my life. Thankfully the gentleman dining didn’t get offended by this extremely poor behaviour.

It was a great experience of a new kind of drink there and we loved the atmosphere as well. And the price was nothing compared to the taste of the food we had.

By far the most tasteless curry I’ve ever had, served up in double quick time which made me question whether it had been reheated in a microwave as opposed to freshly cooked as billed. The prawn madras was literally prawns in a thin gravy. Naan breads tiny and the the whole think massively over priced. Look elsewhere.

Visited with my family and was extremely disappointed with the portion sizes and the food is not India it’s some strange sweet food. When I provided feedback to the manager he said the food is not for Indians it’s for British and Europeans. The butter Chicken which is the most basic dish had lychee, Pineapple a receipt I haven’t heard off before! The portion sizes are not suitable for a single person and the prices are similar to a top rated restaurant like ChutneyMary so please don’t visit. Wish we looked at the reviews before we entered.

There are are you lot of contemporary Indian restaurants in and around London this is not one of them this is your typical old fashion Indian curry restaurant, considering it is in a very affluent area it was not overpriced, The mixed meat kebab starter was very good, The chicken in my curry was chopped up a bit too small for my liking I would’ve rather had it a bit chunkier, but the garlic chilli, cheese naan stole the show.

100% the best curry in the Chelsea / Belgravia area. Reasonably priced and run by an extremely friendly family and team. Great people, great food, great service. We use this Indian as our local frequently. One night they forgot one dish in a huge order (cannot blame them one bit) and personally walked round the dish freshly cooked within minutes. Cannot recommend highly enough.

There's no doubt this is a great restaurant to go to if you want something really hot! That's why I chose a Vindaloo! Had to have a ice cream and flake dessert to cool down again! In general it was a HOT AND STEAMY NIGHT!

Looking forward to try this restaurant as we moved near by. The mixed grill was very small and very dry and after we told the waiter, he laughed at us. Eventually he changed it for a prawn curry, but they were small shrimps, no prawns...

We went there Saturday night for a meal as was highly recommended to us! Although no one else in restaurant there was 4 tables reserved so thought it was popular. The chicken tikka balti dish came out in a ceramic dish not a normal metal...

A great curry. This restaurant has become my favourite Indian.

Food was 30 mins late even though I pre-ordered. The vindaloo was really salty and too oily and didn't have a great flavour. And the chicken pakora were not pakora at all, they were just plain breaded chicken nuggets. At least the garlic naan was nice. Overall I was disappointed and I won't order from here again.

Every time I order from here the food is fantastic, I order when shop is busy but not too busy and the food is always delivered fresh and very quickly. Tasty food not swimming in oils, the spices have just the right amount of kick, lovey naan bread and lime pickle too. Would always recommend this to both vegetarians like me and meat eaters too. Balanced, tasty menu that delivers great value for money as well as great flavour.

Appreciate that all chefs have their own take on a dish but just as a heads up for anyone who, like me, prefers a particularly saucy King Prawn Balti, this is not the type you will get. I have never seen so many onions used in any curry never mind a balti which was pretty much all onions with rather small prawns, not what I would call King and with barely enough sauce for a nan but plenty of onions if that’s what you like!

No taste at all.. I ordered a Lamb dopiaza ( Madas hot with green chillies) and got no chillies just bland tasteless what a waste of time.. will not be ordering again..
