First time there, went in for an order of lamb samosas and they were out, but offered to make a new batch. So I got them piping hot and absolutely delicious, with a nice kick to them. The place is small, but clean and brightly lit, so felt cozy on a cool night as I waited for my takeout. Everything looked delicious and the rices are very reasonable. Food, staff, service and location are all excellent. Highly recommend and look forward to going back often.

I've been to this family run restaurant many times and it's always excellent.Super Dahl, Aubergine curry,Naan, and loads more.Lovely family feel with 3 generations helping to run it.Do support an independent restaurant home cooking. The food is cooked fresh with the meat cooked IN the sauce not added afterwards like most Indian restaurants.

Food and service great! Ambiance... Like a snack bar but the food really makes up for it.... Very tasty and inexpensive. Be careful when ordering rice, huge portions and everything tasted better to me with the Indian bread (chapati). We only had it with butter and garlic. Extremely delicious. Two people (three dishes) with drinks, £36. I thought it was totally ok.

This used to be a place we frequented when we lived close. It used to have good quality food at decwent prices and quantity. We visited after 2 years gap and unfortunately quality and quantity has gone down, prices up. Chapli kebab was tiny and tasted nothing like Chapli kebab. The curry dishes had indistinct flavours as if made in the same base curry. Butter naan was fresh and tasty and paratha was reheated so tasteless.

The food is microwaved. Who knows when it was prepared. We went in after some decent reviews. The place is tiny. We were 7 people and were told to sit anywhere we did. They said they'd bring out an extra chair. That never happened. We had to request another customer to lend his spare chair. After some contemplating we decided to leave as we did not want to eat microwaved food.

To be honest this is a little underwhelming, the chicken kebab is just a stick of chicken in a bag, would be nice if it was presented with some salad and sauce, its also sort of chewy as if microwaved. The samosas are just pre made, deep fried and thrown in a bag, its lucky I bought sauce as they came with no sauce or garnish. It just feels like theres not much love in this food to be honest. The curry is fine.

Roti and butter nan available but a bit on the small side... portions were good but they do overfill a little bowl which makes a mess and does not look pretty but hey it makes you think it's a bigger portion I guess...overall a lovely place to visit for a quick reasonably priced curry or samosas with tea or Lassi!! A hole in the wall, family run catering place..limited quantities of food which is visible below the glass counter. This place is good, small -they just have some 8 tables if you choose to dine-in. They seem to have a patronage in take-aways. We noticed a few customers asking for a few specific items that seemed to be over or not on the day's menu. Lot of takeaways happened when we were there. We ordered for a potato pakoda - it could be better. The mint chutney was really good. Chicken biryani cannot be called Hyderabadi, by any means, as they named it. It was tasty but not what it is supposed to be. Raita was too good! Karak chai - on spot! Excellent. 👌 portion was big though. Food could be warm. Thankfully it wasn't roo spicy or hot. Just good for a quick meal, home style. The host is pleasant guy and the service pretty cordial.

Everything tasted good but a couple things I wasn’t a fan of: - everything (besides the naan) was reheated in a microwave so, that’s a thing - the service was fine, the waiter seemed like he really didn’t want to be there and was in no rush to take our order, bring us the necessary silverware, wait on other customers

Service was good, could have been better. The rice and naan bread is extra. Everything is a la carte. The rice is served on a dinner plate....it's a lot of rice like double the portion of the curry dish. Naan bread was big too. They don't offer different levels of spiciness....so that was different and it is very mild spiciness. The curry could have had a lot more spices for flavor. The servers were nice, but very quiet. Cozy little restaurant. If it's your first time trying indian food this is good start, but others indian restaurants the flavors and spiciness are more diverse.

We discovered this restaurant purely by chance last year when staying in Bloomsbury, so did not hesitate to eat here again on this year's pre festive season trip. Have to admit I think I ordered the same thing - saag paneer & onion bhajis - as I enjoyed them so much last year. I do appreciate being able to order two small plates/side dishes as opposed to a larger main course, although my friend's main did look as though I would manage the lot! I will make a point of having something different next year, as I have no doubt we will eat here again. The gentleman we spoke to was delighted we had made a point of returning, & I assured him I had written a glowing review last year & would do so again after this visit. It's a small but beautifully put-together dining room, with a lovely atmosphere & charming people.
