This B&B is an absolute gem. It is immaculately presented and tastefully furnished and decorated throughout. The owner, Clare was friendly and helpful, good standards and attention to detail are obviously important to her. My room was a twin on the top floor and had a spotless en-suite with a bath. Little touches were appreciated, good lighting in the bathroom, a corner unit for toiletries, and a box of tissues - such a thoughtful addition. There was also a hospitality tray with tea, coffee etc. The breakfast was superb and freshly cooked to order. There was a small area for parking in front of the B&B where we were able to park two motorcycles along side two smaller cars. I would definitely return to Belvedere House and recommend it to others.

Stayed here with my wife and child to go star gazing. The owner was amazingly welcoming and easy to talk to too, the room itself was very spacious and beds are very comfy, clean and the mug size is awesome. The breakfast was so nice, the scrambled egg amazing, you also get choice of fruit yogurts. Would highly recommend

Wonderful property and room. Fantastic breakfast and super hospitality from the host. 10 / 10. Only downside is Monday not many places to eat other than the Co op or a trip to Barnard Castle but don't let that spoil your visit

Beautiful location. The room was very comfortable and really lovely - I loved the patchwork quilt! A range of drinks was available in the room which was much appreciated. The breakfast was gorgeous. I would say that the bacon in the full English was the nicest bacon that I have had in years. All in all I would highly recommend this B&B.

This was my second stay at the B&B. Lovely room in the attic and a great breakfast. The rooms are so well looked after with lots of nice touches. The breakfast room is a beautiful place to eat. Clare is a super host. Wished we could have stayed longer. All in all excellent value, topped off with a lovely meal across the road at the Teesdale Hotel.

A little gem. Very friendly owners and lovely homely feeling. A lot of thought has gone into the decor too. Definitely coming back if back up that part of the country again.

Lovely rooms, amazing breakfast and a wonderful host who very kindly did some washing for us after 6 days trekking the Pennine Way. I hope the room didn't smell too much when we left!

After 19 miles across the moors on the Pennine Way we were in need of a roof and Belvedere House provided way more than that. We were warmly greeted by Clare who explained all the necessary COVID rules. Our room was a large but cosy twin in the roof space with a double & a single with en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is served in the most amazing dining room and was plentiful & perfectly cooked plus fresh fruit to accompany the cereal & yogurt. Thank you Clare, your home lifted our spirits for our onward trek.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Belvedere House B&B, up in one of the attic rooms, which has been recently refurbished. We stayed before walking a section of the Pennine Way, for which the location is perfect! The room was cosy and the beds very comfortable. Our host Clare was very friendly and chatty, with plenty of local knowledge. Would recommend!

El personal muy grosero, fue una visita inocente para ser despedido - estaba en las redes sociales y fueron muy cautelosos que yo estaba en mi teléfono No es profesional en absoluto

Now called the Charcoa Carvery since its refurb recently and I was impressed with the new decor which was luxurious and classy. The staff were pleasant and eager to assist and for all it was Sunday lunchtime there was no queu to get served and plenty of choice re seating arrangements for all we had not booked. I chose the turkey which was perfect and my family all had beef which they enjoyed. There was a good selection of vegetables (even salad if we had wanted it) but I did find it difficult to access the veges as there is nowhere to put your plate down and you need one hand to open the lid and another to serve the veges. Also the containers at the back of the vegetable servery were very inaccessible - this must have been designed by a very tall person with no regard for shorter customers and anyone with a disability or only able to use one hand would have been at a severe disadvantage. Also we never discovered the sauces until we returned to select our dessert as the sauces are set aside from the actual carvery and vegetable area. In the past you paid at the end and it was all the same price. Now you buy a ticket at the beginning but the meals are more expensive than the carvery selection so how do you know what you actually want until you are at the servery and by then its too late - you have either paid for carvery or paid for a meal so that is a strange set up I found. BUT getting back to the food and that was good, plentiful and hot. It is described as the 'ultimate carvery' and I think that is rather optimistic - its tasty and the ambience is lovely but a few practical tweaks in my opinion are needed. at the vegetable servery and make customers aware that the sauces are available. I enjoyed my trio of mini desserts and the assistant brought the hot drinks to the table when she had made them. A pleasant afternoon while the piano man played in the background.

Toppings should go on top of the cheese not under it. tomato sauce was hardly detectable, base stodgy and spongy. the base was like a cake despite being billed as thin and crusty. if you don't know how to make a pizza, which really isn't difficult, then you shouldn't call yourself a pizzeria
