Beautiful rooms ( I just loved the decor throughout) comfortable beds . Very friendly host and amazing breakfast. The village itself is also worth the visit, some lovely cafes , Riverside walks and a short drive to High and Low Force . We ate at both pubs/hotel and the fish n chips were outstanding . Thankyou Clare for a wonderful stay

This B&B is an absolute gem. It is immaculately presented and tastefully furnished and decorated throughout. The owner, Clare was friendly and helpful, good standards and attention to detail are obviously important to her. My room was a twin on the top floor and had a spotless en-suite with a bath. Little touches were appreciated, good lighting in the bathroom, a corner unit for toiletries, and a box of tissues - such a thoughtful addition. There was also a hospitality tray with tea, coffee etc. The breakfast was superb and freshly cooked to order. There was a small area for parking in front of the B&B where we were able to park two motorcycles along side two smaller cars. I would definitely return to Belvedere House and recommend it to others.

Myself and partner stayed here for 1 night, on our way from Durham and wishing to visit the many Falls in the area. There were no problems with booking on-line. Communications with the owner were excellent. Cost of room to include private bathroom and breakfast was very reasonable. The room itself was spacious enough, lovely comfortable double bed; refreshments, wine glasses, mugs, supplied with a kettle. No fridge. Small TV. Windows opened. Large wardrobe with enough coat hangers. ,Linen and all towels were of super quality thread. Comfortable pillows. Shower, water and toilet all worked as expected. A portable heater and fan were both available to use if needed. Very clean throughout. Communal areas were clean and presented well also. Traditional games and books were available to use. Access in and out of the house and into rooms were safe and secure. Breakfast was of quality food items and cooked very well. Infact the best black pudding and hash browns we have ever had! It was noted pack-up items were an alternative to plated breakfast. We ate dinner over the road at The Teesdale Hotel, which we found average quality. Clare (owner) was a perfect host. We asked for recommendation of walks in the area. The walk Clare suggested was perfect for us and just as Clare described. I would recommend Beverdere House to stay at. I would book again if needed. Thank you Clare from both of us.

Stayed here with my wife and child to go star gazing. The owner was amazingly welcoming and easy to talk to too, the room itself was very spacious and beds are very comfy, clean and the mug size is awesome. The breakfast was so nice, the scrambled egg amazing, you also get choice of fruit yogurts. Would highly recommend

Wonderful property and room. Fantastic breakfast and super hospitality from the host. 10 / 10. Only downside is Monday not many places to eat other than the Co op or a trip to Barnard Castle but don't let that spoil your visit

Beautiful location. The room was very comfortable and really lovely - I loved the patchwork quilt! A range of drinks was available in the room which was much appreciated. The breakfast was gorgeous. I would say that the bacon in the full English was the nicest bacon that I have had in years. All in all I would highly recommend this B&B.

This was my second stay at the B&B. Lovely room in the attic and a great breakfast. The rooms are so well looked after with lots of nice touches. The breakfast room is a beautiful place to eat. Clare is a super host. Wished we could have stayed longer. All in all excellent value, topped off with a lovely meal across the road at the Teesdale Hotel.

A little gem. Very friendly owners and lovely homely feeling. A lot of thought has gone into the decor too. Definitely coming back if back up that part of the country again.

Lovely rooms, amazing breakfast and a wonderful host who very kindly did some washing for us after 6 days trekking the Pennine Way. I hope the room didn't smell too much when we left!

After 19 miles across the moors on the Pennine Way we were in need of a roof and Belvedere House provided way more than that. We were warmly greeted by Clare who explained all the necessary COVID rules. Our room was a large but cosy twin in the roof space with a double & a single with en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is served in the most amazing dining room and was plentiful & perfectly cooked plus fresh fruit to accompany the cereal & yogurt. Thank you Clare, your home lifted our spirits for our onward trek.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Belvedere House B&B, up in one of the attic rooms, which has been recently refurbished. We stayed before walking a section of the Pennine Way, for which the location is perfect! The room was cosy and the beds very comfortable. Our host Clare was very friendly and chatty, with plenty of local knowledge. Would recommend!

Myself and my family were so hungry and needed food quickly,we had been to 2 other chippies and they were shut we came here i think around 2pm the door was open but they had cleaned everything up ready to close, we explained our situation and they went above and beyond and cooked us fresh fish sausages and chips even though they were all packed up ready to close! Amazing service and the food was delicious!! 10/10!

The staff works very slowly like a fast food restaurant. I work as a food delivery person and I see that they work hard and there are not many people in the restaurant. There was a line from a movie. Whoever hates working goes to Mc Donalds.

Not effen open yet! I don't mind if it's listed on the map, but then absolutely make sure the hours are correctly listed as *closed* - is common sense something that doesn't exist within Google maps??!!

Me and my mum and my 3rd nana Dawn went here, we ordered our food and i got some Fanta orange to drink and then our food came. I had cod bites and mam and Dawn had chips with gravy, and we enjoyed it. Will be coming back.
