I wasn’t impressed by the food overall it was cold and a bit soggy

Food was hot and beautiful definitely be ordering again

Generally good quality only gripe would be size portion of chips , being £4.25 would like a slightly larger portion size , burger was beaut

I've never had a worse chippy tea the cod was like a frozen one horrible all batter chips were white onion rings were full of grease and soggy £40 down the drain

Cod bit3s and chips were very nice, daughter enjoyed hers also.

After a long wait our fish was delivered.

The burger was a disgrace who ever cooked it should feel permanently embarrassed for what they served me today batter was near burnt black same as the onion ring on it batter just crumbled to bits the chicken goujons where like mini bites and had to be triple cooked cus they near broke my teeth if your staff are that lazy and serve that type of food just give it up and don't work in a chippy.

Food is absolutely freezing only received it a couple minutes ago, gravy sauce was cold order “buttered” baps came not buttered driver was absolutely useless no help when I explained to him that the drinks where wrong and one missing

I ordered a pastie supper and kids goujons meal. I received half a pastie and it was soggy and the chicken goujons tasted like fish so for 14 I basically got some chips as that was all that was editable

Collection time was stated to be 20 mins but the food was cooked within 5 and was not kept warm meaning it was cold on arrival. They ignored the note requesting salt and vinegar. Very rude staff. Better options nearby. Avoid.

Fish was very poor, over fried and mushroom portion was very small. Overall very disappointed, we usually get from this chippy and it's normally very high quality but not tonight.

Chips sadly stale and shrivelled and curry sauce just curry flavoured water which ruined the pastie and battered sausage. Will not oder again.

Popped in to the Bethany for an easy dinner. It was our 1st time and we were very pleased. Chips were very nice! I had the Goliath burger and was well impressed. Very clean and friendly staff. Definitely would go back.

Food was cold. Also prefer a taco chip it came with just a chip with taco sauce. That’s a chip with taco sauce not a taco chip . Should be worded properly as wanted the mince and cheese with it. Taco sauce was also horrible . Didn’t eat the chip

Went here tonight after I'd finished work, ordered a fish supper, good job I'm not a health inspector, think the staff here need to update their food hygiene certificates, watched this young girl serving, putting lettuce and cheese onto the burger baps no gloves, bare hands!! 🤢🤢🤢 Then handling money at the till! Ordered a children's goujon meal the chios may as well been crisps ,so hard I thought they were going to choke me the chicken goujons were two wee strings of chicken each battered thickly so chicken was so little and thick battered I thought I was just eating batter , photos to show what I mean will follow When I telephoned to complain reply was as quoted,," they're new potatoes you expect new potatoes to be crispy all chippies are having the same problem ,"🤣🤣🤣🤣 geg couldn't even sincerely apologise Need been before will Keverne be back The garlic mayo was lovely tho

7 quid for 2 sausages and some hardly eatable chips. Not be back again. Sausages were battered but the batter was lyk it was sitting for ages under a hit light. Really dry and hard to eat.

Notification to say food was ready 10 mins before the due time, meaning food was cold by time I had it collected and back home. The portion size of chips for the price I paid was disappointing. Nearly 4 pound for a scoop of chips. I had been to the other local chippy recently and you get 4 times the amount of chips for the same price, and the quality didn’t up for the price difference. Really disappointed with my visit to the Bethany.

Small portions. Was ready ten mins before collection time which is not actually all that handy whenever you plan for the time given at ordering! Expensive for what we got.

My little one loves this place...her Sat night go to..food always great and staff pleasant..no issues when getting deliveries either

Over cooked over priced and cold

Delivery time was updated to 1.5 hours. It still hasn’t arrived after 1hr 45 mins. The shop is 5 mins from home. Won’t b ordering again!

Food was burnt and cold! This is the first time I have ever had a disappointing meal from the Belmont Bethany, their food is usually delicious.

It was ok but not up to their usual standard but maybe on this day that was to be expected. It was delivered late and wasn't as hot as I would have liked. However I would order from the Bethany again.

Waited nearly 2 hours for our food, had wanted mushy peas with the cod supper & got a tub of curry. Food was ok but not overly warm. Rang after an hour and half to see where the order was & the lady on the phone responded with you & 30 others then laughed. The restaurant shouldn’t take on so many orders if they can’t cope.. reAlly put me off ordering from here again.

Great food and when it arrived, it was fresh, hot and very tasty. Highly recommend the peppered chips

Chicken burger is great always with fresh salad. Chips were small portion but the price is for a small portion so I can’t complain. Chip Bethany Belmont £3.95 Small Chip Vikings £3.90 Small Chip John Dory’s £3.95 People are complaining about small portions when the price is equal to all others nearby. Bethany should maybe add an option for small, regular, large chips to avoid these negative reviews from people who probably think they have paid for a full sized chip.

We bought 2 chips after visiting the cinema to eat walking home,the chips were mostly hard some burnt I have never had anything like it from any other chip shop in the area I will never buy from there again. At £3.75 each is disgraceful. We had to through them away.

Firstly from order to delivery it took 2hrs and we live 5mins from cafe . The size of the food was very very small to say i was disappointed is a under statement , normally a can't finish a cod supper but after eating this i was left hungry. never ever using this cafe again.

Once upon a time 20 years ago the Bethany (along with the Hot Spot in Ballyhack) was synonymous with good chips, and all things fish and beyond. I came here because John Dory’s has moved out of walking distance (for us), and Codzilla was closed. Unfortunately on the evidence of my most recent visit the Bethany hasn’t maintained its once high standards. One size of chips, £3.95, and that size is taking-the-p*** tiny (it was basically a poke). And they were dry and cardboardy at best. Sorry Bethany, I don’t give a rubbish review lightly, but you need to up your game and learn from the others that have overtaken you, or you’re gonna be done. On the plus side the staff were lovely.

Food was just slightly warm and soaked in grease!! 6 battered mushrooms for £3.50 and were rotten!! And the curry was like water would never order from here again!!

Absolutely disgusted with this evenings order. First review I have ever wrote but felt compelled too. Fish completely over cooked, fish dried out and batter burnt to a crisp. Onion ring consisted off an thin onion skin inside. Kids meal was average. Tried to contact restaurant & no answer. Over an hour & half for delivery. Overall disappointing delivery & service

Forgot dip food not warm enough

Really need to get your act together with delivery times. Every single time I order, it’s at least a 2hr wait time, so won’t be ordering again. Food wasn’t great either but at least it was warm, like the drinks…

Absolute disgrace ordered through just eat told it would be 30 minutes, 1 hr 25 minutes later phoned to find out where my order was to be told by a very rude server your order is being prepared not my problem its late im busy take it up with just eat, won't be back
