The Bridge Traditional Fish And Chips in Belfast

The fish I got was terrible burnt batter and rubber fish my partners pastie was so greasey could not be eaten and few chips we got were u edible not a great experience

I ordered chicken kebabs on chips and was amazed at how good it was. Moist, flavorful chicken on perfectly cooked chips with an excellent garlic sauce drizzled all over. Onions and sliced tomatoes, as well. Enough food for two meals! Top value!

Local chippy, lovely food and friendly staff

Ordered and paid for 2 sausages and a gravy chip. One sausage arrived. Rang and was told to contact Eat Uber. Dreadful service. Will never be back.

Accepted my order at 7:25. Got notification that driver was on the way then 20:01 just cancelled my order. They close at 8 so obviously just couldn’t be bothered with my order. Terrible service.

Chips are amongst the best I have ever had - no joke! Really good quality and well cooked. Please don't change your supplier for those, folks! Batter is great on battered sausages and chicken goujons. I live just across the road so it's all too easy to call in. But very good quality, fresh chip shop food and great to see them busy these days... 😃👌👏

Got some chicken Goujons recently. When I bit into a piece of the chicken, the grease/batter was just sitting right there and I almost puked. I've had out of here in the past and it wasn't so bad, but this time round I wasn't impressed at all. Gave it a generous 2 star rating simply because the last meal I got wasn't as bad.

Ordered via just eat app Hawaiian burger delivered with no pineapple so basically got a 1/4 burger but charged for a Hawaiian burger contacted chippy to be told you didn't ask for pineapple ...no option to add it on the app, and make your complaint via just eat, dear owner sort out your menu on just eat, there are lots of other chippies in the area whose staff know that Hawaiian = pineapple (I wonder would they leave the beans of a cowboy supper!) Not good service.

Got sausage supper chips were greasy and most were scrappings not worth 5 pound odd disappointed.

Not bad food but it is quite expensive. £3.50 for a chip? Come off it we are still in East Belfast.

The food is lovely and the service is nice and quick, 5-10 minute wait depending on how busy they are.

Pop corn chicken was nice until I came to a long red greasy hair in my portion. Then my friend also had a small black hair in her garlic dip. Completely put off and will never order again.

The suppers are okay but it is a little pricey for all that you get.

The place seemed ok but i could smell an oily smell. Didnt feel well after my curry chip

This is the “bar one” chippy I was talking about in my review of t6he Bethany, this chippy has to be the best on for miles and miles its a good 15mins away from my home But soo worth the drive I cant rate the food or service high enough ... there is just nowhere even close to the standard of this place.... take my word for it if you miss this place you’ve missed out on a real treat !!!!

Like any other fish and chip places this place is nice, but I wouldn't consider it to be the best. They do a lovely boneless chicken box which I throughly enjoyed. I think my aunt got a fish. I enjoyed it and I would get from here again!

Great chips, kebabs and goujons are the best in Belfast! Staff are always a laugh aswell

I am so gutted I didn't check the reviews properly before I visited! What a revolting meal! The batter on the fish was drenched in oil so completely soggy - and very uncooked (the inside of the batter was slimy yellow). Chips were soggy and just pretty gross. The worst of the worst - eat here at your peril.

Handy chippy. Good to see them on here. Food was good as usual. Although same price as the fryar tuck. I wish they would advertise the daily deals on here as a lot of them are very good and much better value than a fryar tuck when you get one. Staff are friendly and foods served very quickly. GET THE DAY SPECIALS UP ON JUST EAT, the discounted meals on certain days and the buy one get one free deals. All over the shop inside so get them up. It's what made me and many others use the bridge over other chippys in the area.

Everything was great but an item was missin from collection which was hassle as we had to go back to get it.

pretty good burger, took a while to make but tasty nonetheless :) if you're in the area and needing a feed then this is the place to hit up :)

I've got food from here 3 times and there is no consistency the first time I had a portion large enough to feed my family of four but it was in edible and the further two visits because I thought I'd give them another chance the portions where smaller and the food was dripping in oil it was unedible I've made better chips at home very disappointing :( I will give them another chance in the future hopefully they change things up as after asking around I'm not the only one with this opinion.

We were very impressed with the fish and chips; we each had an enormous piece of cod (and it was cod not river cobbler masquerading as cod!) the batter was good and so were the chips; the meal wasn't greasy. We did have a pot of mushy peas each but didn't need them as the portion of fish and chips was so big. The cost was about £6.50 each which I thought was very reasonable. I can't see how anyone can say the fish was uneatable and the chips were hard (and if the food was inedible why was the customer sick if they hadn't eaten the meal as it couldn't have been the fish?) I suspect that is a 'rogue review' - mine is genuine; we visited the Iron bridge for the first time and really enjoyed the day

Slushy machine was a welcome addition to fish and chip shop. Loads of flavours including bubblegum watermelon and butterscotch. Lovely staff, I got southern fried goujons which were superb. Chips were poor.

The fish is always same, same fish from same source, same butter, you know.. Although the fish here is very tasty, the chips is amazing.. Very tasty, not too oily, golden/bronze color. Heaven. Reasonable price, excellent quality fish&chips One of the best in city..
