Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Chips weren’t hot and crispy. Fish was fine but batter again not really crispy at all . Only plus point was because the chips were so bad I threw most of them away so saved the calories

First time we've been to 'Bells' ,or Bella's as its called now since it taken over. Not too much thought went into the new name unless Bella owns it. Not impressed with the food. Chips were awfull and the fish was very thin. Was better when it was Bells. Won't be returning.

The food is never hot. It sits in the warming compartment for too long. By the time it gets to our home which is a couple of minutes away, it's always stone cold. We won't be back.

Called in last Thursday to get two portions of chips nothing else and had to wait over 30 minutes, the two in front were also not happy about the wait, The two women serving, well one was serve the other was just standing watching food getting cooked and walking off, Marie was her name, what a waste of time and over priced, You need to get the right staff and better customer service, not once did that was that was cooking offer to help serve, she must have been shattered standing doing nothing. I used to go there and get food for work colleagues on a regular basis. But because of the two slow staff and waiting time its time to say good bye. Totally unacceptable.

1 portion of fish bites and chips that cost around £10 and the batter was inedible. Completely undercooked (see images). What happened? This used to be a great chippy!

This is our preferred chippy of choice however we've noticed that the chips could do with a little more time in the fryer. I like my chips a medium to dark brown colour as it enhances the flavour. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for nice brown chips.

Just ordered some food for the staff in the office as a treat. Between 3 of us we ordered 2 cheese patties with chips (didn't get the chips) a mince pie with chips and gravy (looked like a child's portion) and a single cod with mushy peas. £25 The fish looked like it had been sliced in half horizontally it was so flat. Weve been left £25 out of pocket and most of it went in the bin. Won't be returning

My colleague went to Bells fish shop somewhere we have used for many year our Order was the following Cod only absolute disgrace more batter than fish Mince pie chips and gravy pie was not great went in bin my colleague ordered pattie x 2 and chips when got back to office no chips £25 for all that was a disgrace mushy peas were ok was 1 comment never go there again there must be better options around

Best part of £30 and 2 of the 3 haddock had multiple bones & the chips were so cold after a 5m journey home they needed microwaving to be palatable. Telephoned to pass on feedback personally & got ‘sorry i’m new, not sure what went wrong, I’ll pass on your feedback’.

Been using Bells for years and always had nice fresh meals. today was very different the fish was dried out (last nights?) which had to be thrown away. so we were left with the very nice chips and mushy peas. Nil Points.

Visited a couple of evenings ago to get fish & chips. There were two or three fish already cooked that looked as though they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for a little while so I asked for a freshly cooked fish as I had a few miles to drive home and wanted it as hot & fresh as possible. The young man behind the counter (Gabe?) didn’t look pleased by my request and begrudgingly asked the lady who was cooking to put a fresh fish in. When it was ready - five minutes or so, I was served. Unfortunately with the same attitude. Very unwelcoming. Maybe he was just having a bad day? The food was good however and I guess that’s the most important thing.

Called in today for Fish and chips . Cooked fresh and first class .Always great friendly service. Best by far.

Freshly cooked, a good sized portion, very tasty and served by very a pleasant lady. Would definitely go back.

I popped into Bells Teal Farm, for a quick Chippy lunch at 11.50am on Thurs 16th September, purchased 2 portions of chips, one with batter... got home to Fatfield and was so disappointed when opening the wrapper... chips were barely warm stingy looking chips, not full pieces of chips but snag ends the portion size was ridiculous too, just enough to make a chip butty and a few chips to munch on absolutely no reason for such poor product - c'mon Bells, get your act together!

Inside the establishment is immaculate and clean. The woman who served us was very welcoming and pleasant. Food was really good, chips and chicken nuggets are amazing. Curry sauce is bang on too!

Bells fish and chip shop is immaculately clean and very welcoming. Excellent customer service and delicious food - what is there not to like? I highly recommend this fast food takeaway.

There's always a lovely atmosphere and very polite staff in this place, Many staff do the frying in here but Barny is is the better one but he is not in there much these days, i find the portion sizes are just enough they do not pile the chips on as they just go to waste, Beautiful food very clean establishment.

Called in with my son at lunch time on the 30th of april. I had 2 fish cakes and Joe had fish and chips. It was cooked fresh so we waited a few minutes. Worth the wait is was superb and the staff were friendly .

Best fish and chips in Washington by far. Usually go for the extra large haddock if possible which is cooked with skin on. Absolutely lovely. This is my go too local chippy!

Been going here for some time , after using another fish & chip business in Washington village which went downhill a neighbor recommended'Bells', so pleased consistently good fish and the staff are always pleasant and efficient when serving you
