Bella's in West Dorset

We always get our cakes from here when in Bridport as my daughter has crohn’s and they offer gluten free, but so disappointed with today’s options. To add to that the girl had a shocker cutting the cake so ended up with a very small slice compared with the other slice we got.

Absolutely superb tuna mayo baguette Popped in on my way through Bridport and had a quick wander round the town Bellas caught my eye Offering an assortment of baguettes freshly made And wasn’t disappointed it was made in front of me and was absolutely delicious Lovely helpful people

Visit Bellas every holiday and always delighted with their gluten free offerings. Yesterday's was amazing. So much knowledge and fresh tasty food.

We often visit Bridport and ALWAYS make a dash for Bella's. Plenty of seats outside, excellent cakes and baguettes. Always fresh, made to order, well filled and very tasty. A good choice of fillings so be sure to say exactly what you'd like...don't leave anything out! Take time to read the blackboards outside and invent your own baguette if you like. There are also various salads so make up your own. Breads are brown or white. We are black coffee drinkers and very fussy. Bella's coffee passes our taste tests with flying colours. We love that place! PS Also good for people watching while you sit eating your lunch and drinking your coffee.

Cake and coffee on a cold day in Jan. I tried the cherry bakewell, it was delicious and also gluten free!

Outside menu did not give any indication of the 30p surcharge applied to decaffeinated drinks (Americano). This should be made clear before point of sale.

Stopped here with my boy for lunch. The sandwich was brilliant with choice of bread, ample filling and made from fresh. Competitively priced and delicious!

Just had a great crab baguette and cheese ploughman’s from here followed by a cherry bakewell cake with coffee. All excellent and good value for money, all good quality ingredients. Great strong decaf coffee. The rest of the cakes also look delicious. Sat on the nearby benches in the sunshine with our little picnic 😊 The cakes can definitely feed two ! Fifteen pounds for all of it.

Came across this cafe serving food at the door. Amazing choice of baguettes, wraps salads and other savouries. All food is freshly made to order. Great choice of cakes for example flapjack, brownie, tiffin and a fruit cake to die for. Wish we had found this earlier in the week I’d have been there every day. Friendly staff. Great coffee and good prices.

Just passing on a day visit with my family and the menu and display in the window got our attention.delicious and healthy salads and baguettes which we thoroughly enjoyed.The cakes looked terrific too but we didn't have room!

Amazing service. Totally understood coeliac disease and cross contamination. Made my daughter an amazing gluten free wrap and the gluten free millionaires shortbread was delicious! Highly recommend A***

We bought lunches for our picnic two days running. Absolutely fantastic. Good amounts of great ingredients. Will definitely revisit for my lunch every time I'm in Bridport !!

We visited Bridport today and had our lunch from Bella . It was absolutely delicious, fresh , flavoursome, fresh and the owner , and staff were super friendly . We had the falafel , Hummus, carrots & 3 salads and a vegan rainbow wrap followed by the best carrot cake . Even the tea was great , huge teabags so a great cup of tea . We will be back next time we visit .

Used this shop a number of times now. Great salad and amazing bacon, Brie, cranberry and salad baguette. Very good coffee. Very busy, so might have to queue-for social distancing, you place your order and wait outside

It's no secret to family and friends that we love Bella's vegan Rainbow Wraps. We shout about them and photograph them and dream about them! This is the second year running we have holidayed in Bridport and this time we went straight to Bella's on arrival for....Rainbow Wraps. Then straight down to West Bay to gorge on them, in the privacy of the car......umming and ahhing and ooohing and ohhing! It's positively naughty how delicious they are. Beetroot wrap filled with spinach falafel and rainbows of shredded veg, topped off with sweet chilli sauce! Was there hummus in there too? Bonkers! Glorious!Go! Go! Go! Run to those Rainbow Wraps and sample a little slice of heaven...if you're vegan or not. P.S. The rest of their food is pretty nice too! Thank you lovely ladies who create them.

We had the most wonderful cakes and sandwiches at Bella’s- so much so that we went twice in one day! Cannot recommenced the food and lovely staff enough. Truly wonderful :)

Came here for coffee and cake on a day passing through Bridport. Friendly staff and lots of delicious looking cakes (hard to choose between them all). Between us had a piece of carrot cake, piece of fruit cake, piece of lemon syrup sponge and a cherry bakewell. The three pieces of cakes we were served were huge and delicious, and great coffees as well. If we're back in Bridport will definitely stop by.

Had some gluten free cake from here to take out when staying in the area. The owner is coeliac and the cakes are amazing. We had the coffee and walnut cake and the chocolate brownie with toffee sauce. The coffee and walnut cake is the best I’ve ever tasted and my husband commented that the brownies are the best he’s ever had - he even made me go back and get another two!

This is a great place for food, we had a beetroot, hummus, falafel and salad wrap which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient, will definitely eat here again.

Quite often pop in here on the way to West Bay. Pick up a baguette for myself (coronation chicken is out of this world) and something for the children, which is made freshly in front of you, or a beautiful healthy salad that just satisfies sufficiently without the guilt. They have a great selection of cakes and plenty of gluten-free options. Their coffee is amazing and service is outstanding.

This is a fabulous little find, conveniently located on South Street, homemade delicious food and delightful bakers and servers. From gluten free to vegan they have everything covered. True that there are no tables but it's right in the same area as the tourist office and there are benches and great people watching.

Four of us had selection of sandwiches, falafel, frittata and salads including drinks was an impressive £23.00, we ate on a bench in the sunshine. Really recommend a visit, food was fabulous and staff really friendly. Couldn't fit in a pudding which was a shame as cakes looked amazing!

Lovely homemade flans/quiches. Generous portions. Add some salad for a good lunch. Good value. I bring mine home for lunch. Happy to recommend.

This place doesn't really need my approval. It sits alongside a charming cobbled square, with plenty of seating, in the heart of Bridport. On my visit, a crisp, sunny February day, about 1.30pm, it was busy but not annoyingly so. We just wanted some decent sandwiches, made with local, freshly-made granary bread and good, tasty, generous fillings. And that's exactly what we got. A cracking BLT and a superb Bacon, Brie & Cranberry. Delicious. Lunch, including drinks, for under £10. Deserves it's excellent reputation and the service is professional and charming too.

My Saturday treat is an egg mayo baguette from Bella's, and often a mid-week tuna baguette. Always fresh (often warm) baguettes. Also the range of salads is extensive. The staff are unfailingly helpful, willing and HAPPY!

This right in the centre of Bridport in Bucky Doo square next to the town hall so you can't miss it. They have the most enormous cakes in the window and offer a huge range of freshly prepared sandwiches and baguettes. My favourite though is to get a salad pot. Choose from the different salads, layer it up, get a bottle of Allington Hill apple juice and sit outside in Bucky Doo and listen to the many and varied musicians that play there. Wonderful.

We go here regularly when we want a treat for lunch. Sandwiches freshly made in lots of great combinations. The staff are welcoming and friendly even when busy and always very efficient. The coffee is excellent too. If you want a treat, try their peanut cookies -- delicious!

Very busy, family run "sandwich shop". The baguettes look good but I had one of their delicious salad pots. You have a choice of which items to fill your pot with. Was so pleased to find such a good place to pick up a light lunch. No inside seating unfortunately.

Lunchtime, Saturday 21st May, we were in Bridport and we went looking for somewhere to get some lunch and we came across Bella's in South Street.

Came at Easter time when the centre of Bridport was a bit busier, and the little shop was doing great business, with a queue out the door. The baguettes looked incredible, so I opted for a coronation chicken - it did not disappoint. Although a little pricier than some places, it was so worth it - it was filled to bursting with big chunks of chicken, and when I asked the lovely staff, they told me it was locally sourced and free ranged, so even better! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food...All take away...freshly prepared to order ....lots of coeliac alternatives available. Best coffee....lovely staff.

Salad pots are wonderful combinations of fresh ingredients, giving excellent taste and texture, they look good too. Very good coffee!

I come here all the time, and just love it! The staff are really friendly and smiley, the food is consistently good, special shout out to the yummy cakes! My favourite is the Victoria Sponge. Great salads too. We always end up coming back again and again, I highly recommend!

Bella's is perfectly located in Bucky Doo in Bridport's South Street, behind the Clock Tower. It serves yummy cakes, excellent coffee, and great sandwiches. Check out their daily special sandwiches, as they're always worthwhile. And the people behind the counter are all incredibly friendly and helpful. A Bridport institution and well worth supporting.

Stopped here for a snack and had what in my opinion was the largest, tastiest slice of chocolate fudge cake and delicious hot chocolate I have ever had. They even had a dairy free biscuit for our son. So every one was happy.

Truly delicious range of sandwiches and baguettes. Best mince pies around at Christmas time and tasty warming soup on cold days. Yummy peanut butter cookies! Great array of salads too and very good coffee and tea.

Amazing range of sandwiches and baguettes, from classic fillings to more adventurous!!! I can recommend the salads as I buy these regularly for my lunch, always a different variety and you can tell they are freshly made. The only downside is the cakes... Because I can never resist the carrot cake is my favourite!! Deffo give this ago if you're in town!

Lovely cakes drinks and sandwiches here. Slightly expensive but good food. No tables outside, all take away. They do salads too, really nice ones, not the normal boring ones!

This outlet does cakes, sandwiches, baguettes etc.. The window display was very enticing ... enough to draw us inside and we purchased a slice each of a Coffee & Walnut Cake and a Chocolate Fudge Cake to have in place of a pud after our dinner that evening.
