Great service and fantastic home cooked food at reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Sandown.

The staff are very welcoming and always go out of their way to serve you and friendly atmosphere the food is always amazing and delicious and lots of choice to choose from

Travelled to IOW to visit our friend and booked a table for the last Saturday in September. The restaurant felt cosy and welcoming as we arrived, the owners were friendly and helpful, they had plenty of gluten free options for me to choose from and the menu was extremely varied. We chose the pasta with prawns and chorizo, chilli, beef bourginion and seafood chowder and it was all delicious. A gem of a find and would highly recommend.

Went for dinner after reading great reviews. Ordered the garlic mushrooms, seabass and beef bourgoignon. My partner and I were disappointed with the lack of flavor of the food, were expecting something of better quality, particularly the fish, given that you are in an island. It wasn't cheap and therefore the expectation was a big higher on our end. It also seemed like food was catered for a low-sodium diet. I am not big on spices or artificial flavors but it is critical to get the salt right and get some pepper or rosemary in the mix. The place is nice and cosy and the service is really good, but the food let us down.

Very friendly welcome, superb food and great service. We had an excellent evening and would definitely recommend Bellamys for a great night out.

Had a lovely meal with excellent service. The fillet steak was like cutting butter, cooked to perfection. The desert was not needed as full but delicious all the same (even if it was tinned pineapple 😂😂). Great advice on Mermaid Gins and a generally lovely chat with the owners. Will definitely return again on our next visit, fabulous!

A fabulous find, food very, very tasty, well presented with great portions, music and atmosphere was lovely. Great service too. We were given profiteroles as a side as we all love them but opted for other desserts in the end, so they brought us one profiterole each out as a treat. How kind and very thoughtful. Had a lovely meal at Bellamy's when we were on the Island - the food is absolutely delicious and is all home cooked. All the portion sizes were perfect not too massive, but definitely enough!! The service however is what makes this place stand out - its only a small bistro but the owners make you feel like its your second home. If you are looking for somewhere to eat you cant go wrong here - make sure you book though!!

Great little bistro that has a bit of a sea view from the high street in Sandown. Very warm welcome despite the restaurant being busy on a Friday evening and we hadn’t pre booked. Food freshly prepared so we had a wait but we were in no hurry and were kindly given extra free drinks whilst waiting. Food definitely worth waiting for. Delicious, piping hot and vegetables perfectly cooked. Friendly staff with good sense of humour made our evening even better! Thanks folks!

I have been to this nice bistro with my wife. We took the mussels and fish and chips: plentiful and delicious! We also ordered ice cream at the end of the meal and fortunately they had the dairy-free option. The service was impeccable: everyone was very kind and helpful. In the end we even exchanged a chat about our origins (we are Italian...). Highly recommended!

Lovely little bistro in Sandown serving traditional English food with a good few daily specials to please all tastes. Booking is highly recommended as it is very popular and certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. I asked them at 5.30 if they could fit us in at 7pm and was lucky they managed a small table. I could hear people being turned away whilst we were there. I had ca nice paté with good warm crusty bread to start, my wife had the green lip muscles. Buth very nice. My main dish of chowder was brim full of delicious salmon, smocked haddock, prawns and muscles. It was imposible to dip your spoon without coming up with at least two of these on it. All in a delicious rich creamy sauce the required all of the supplied crusty bread to mop up. My wife had the seafood linguine which she assures me was just as nice. The service was friendly, fast and professional and the music was sing along good. Every song a classic. Definatly a highlight.

Absolutely gorgeous! Such a lovely warm welcome, you are made to feel at home from the second you walk in. Gorgeous home cooked food and deserts including veggie and vegan options. Plus, they squeezed us in same evening (5 of us!) and even looked after my parents whilst we ran back to get the car as there are zero taxis after 9pm! When (not if!) we come back, this will be the first place we visit. Thank you for such a lovely evening. Highly highly recommended.

Ate here last Saturday, had the steak pie with new potatoes and a selection of vegetables. Very reasonably priced and food cooked to perfection.

Occasionally you find a special place and this was it for us. The food was prepared with obvious pride and care that you do not see in many places now. The service made us feel like VIPs, only better. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local in Sandown, and we were not disappointed, service and staff were excellent, food was amazing, great price, lovely atmosphere, the whole experience was faultless, if you are visiting Sandown 100% recommend this place ❤️

We visited this place whilst on holiday,a local person recommended us visit and we were not disappointed. The waitress was a lovely engaging lady who made our experience a very pleasurable one. The food was top notch I've ate in a lot of restaurants who claim they are 5 star but they a delusional in comparison. The chef that produces the food we had obviously taken great pride in what he produces, the food is exceptional it was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer but we will at some point visit again hopefully.

We ate here twice in early August. I believe I had something off the specials board on one occasion, and mussels on the other. Everything was tickety-boo and the service was lovely. If ever I am back in Sandown, I shall most certainly call in again. And them profiteroles were massive an’ all.

We visited Bellamy's Bistro 2 weeks ago. If having a meal after 6pm there is parking on the main Street for free. We managed to get an earlier ferry across to the island and after contacting Bellamy's, staff very kindly brought the time of our table forward. Me and one friend had the carbonara and cheesy garlic bread, which was lovely and tasty and my other friend had Bourgenon which she also really enjoyed. The owners were very friendly and were talking to us about how they came to the Isle of Wight. I would definitely recommend.

Just left bellamy’s Bistro after an outstanding dining experience. Spoilt for choice with the menu. Portion size very good.The staff were very welcoming. I had Beef bourguignon and my partner had Lasagna followed by Banoffee meets Eton mess. We felt the service and food was second to none. Music choice was relaxing and reminiscent. We are from South Wales but will return again, just wish this restaurant was closer to us. Thank you. Steve & Alyson.

Visited twice in three days. Simple but classy dishes done very well and served with a smile. There's not a lot of dinner restaurants to choose from in Sandown these days, but even if there were many more, this place would still be first on the list.

This restaurant is a must when visiting the island we Ate here twice whilst staying in shanklin, it's so worth getting the bus there n back for a wonderful meal. There's plenty choice all cooked to order. It's spotlessly clean. The staff/ owners are so friendly nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely return when next over. This place is so good we went for dinner twice at Bellamy's Bistro whilst enjoying a mini break local to Sandown. The staff, service, décor and food were all wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. We will be back on our next IoW holiday

We first came to this place last year and were really pleased with our experience then, both for food and service. We came back this year and were not disappointed. Again the food and service were excellent. Homely, friends and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you for another lovely meal.

Me and my wife went to this restaurant for the first time last evening. We were welcomed warmly, the atmosphere was brill and seating well spaced out. We had garlic bread with cheese for starter and it was lovely. For mains we had the steak and pie of the day, both were presented well, piping hot and delicious. We couldnt go for dessert as we were just to full. Overall it was a brilliant experience , so much so we went back tonight and it was all just as good. Highly recomended, but do book because its really popular, and deservedly so.

Sought this place out after reading reviews- what a disappointment! Great service,friendly,very clean but food distinctly average and very overpriced. All tables had reserved signs on ,it’s a ploy,I suspect to rely on to avoid being unable to cope with customer service levels as table often magically available to some walk ins. Food okay but nothing special & totally ordinary- average home cooking,not worth prices charged.
