Ordered via Justeat. Luke warm at best on arrival. Soggy chips. Seems like it has been sat on the side for ages. First time and last time ordering.

Ordered takeaway through UberEats. I imagine had the food been served in the restaurant we would have had a very different experience but regrettably our food arrived cold and was very lackluster. Pizza was soggy and the calamari seemed to barely have touched the fryer. Pretty disappointed. I would pen our experience down to Italian food not really being made for delivery. Sadly the experience is enough to prevent us trying Bella Vita again.

Third time we have been here. It's always fairly quiet, but then we come mid week. The food is tasty and good value. I'm a big fan of the fried zucchini!

The food at Bella Vita is really nice. In the past I have had the shrimp risotto and pizza and both were really nice. On our last visit I had chicken Caesar salad and my daughter had Caprese salad. We both really enjoyed it and the portions were quite generous. The server was very friendly and we had no problem getting a table on a weekday for lunch.

Really nice food Waiter (cant remember his name but he was Albanian) was brilliant, really friendly and chatty. Would definitely return, really great visit overall :)

Good food. Had a (large) pizza and a lasagne. My son could not eat all of his pizza, and that does not happen very often.

Pizza was cold! Such a shame considering it was delivered quicker than expected

Not as good as our last couple of visits quite empty felt a bit rushed as we were the only people in the restaurant the food was ok better before if I'm honest my steak was a bit fatty the scallops were not nice and my partner was made to wait while we were served our meals , we should have all been served at the same time we will go again hopefully will be a bit better

Great location. Ample parking. Welcoming host. We turned up (group of 6) w/out reservation. We were accommodated. Host’s recommendations were great. Kids were treated well. Pizzas arrived fresh and hot from the oven. Other dishes arrived promptly. No disturbance during meal. No rush by management to get the table vacated. Prices are reasonable. Great outing, our guests went back happy and we were also very satisfied.

Don't be put off by the Ox pub at the front! Round the back is a charming authentic Italian restaurant with delicious food and excellent service.

Was absolutely delicious!! Amazing delivery time and the food was yummy ! My partner and I shared the ragu bolognese and meatballs with mozzarella. Both were exquisite. So much flavour! The pizza was also amazing so cheesy and flavoursome. Will definitely be ordering again!!

We had an early evening meal. The food was tasty and hot. My steak was cooked exactly how I like it. The staff were very friendly and chatty. We had a good experience.

Delicious Italian food prepared in an authentic way. Great thin crust, hand-stretched pizza. Fabulous seafood tagliatelle. Interior nicely presented creating a relaxed atmosphere. It was quite busy when we went but the service was helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend.

What a find! I have been driving past to and from work for a couple of years and never been. It's FABULOUS! Authentic Italian, which is hard to find! Spectacular pasta (my vongole (clams) was to die for, perfect thin pizza, with fresh topping, delicious! We can highly recommend the Montepulciano, perfect red for an excellent steak. Four patrons, eight courses, each a delight. The only warning the wonderful garlic bread is very big! We were unhappy to miss out on dessert, due to no room in our tummies. We will be back, very, very soon!

Amazing food. Always fresh, tasty and on time. My only negative would be they are quite often not able to deliver, quite disappointing when looking forward to it.

Had the most disgusting takeout in my life. Caesar salad was a soggy mess, and what is with mayonnaise and boiled eggs in a Caesar salad? Four tomato sauce based meals had nothing more than cheapest canned tomato puree on them, and the chicken Milanese tasted like it came from KFC. They have no idea seasoning and spices are. They ran out of clams and could not provide one of the dishes. This farce of a restaurant would be funny, if it was not so horrible.

Don't be afraid it's a pub called the OX with nice Italian restaurant. Great Pizza. But No calazone, dispite menu saying was available.

After reading the reviews I decided to order as a takeaway. The calamari was soggy, and the pasta was bland. Luckily we managed to share the chicken pizza which was actually nice. I won't be ordering from here again.

Terrible. Ordered the Pollo Alla Milanese and couldn't cut it. The chicken was so thin that when it was cooked it made it impossible to eat with a fork or knife

We recently discovered this fantastic restaurant and for us, the option for home delivery encouraged us to use the restaurant again and again. We pre ordered 8 pizzas on our second visit as late night food on our at home/garden wedding reception. The pizzas disappeared so fast it was unbelievable! Superb restaurant, food, service and staff.

The food is a bit hit and miss, we just take our chance that we will order on the chefs good day as that’s when we really enjoy it. I love the peri peri chicken yet the margarita pizza I had was extremely tasteless. We ordered from Just Eat and when the restaurant made a mistake with the pizza toppings TWICE the man on the phone was quite rude to us. There’s never any need for that.

Had a few takeaway during lockdown and cant really fault it, meals have arrived hot and tasty as ever. Good variety of food too. We've had a selection of pizza all perfectly topped with correct toppings. I had the spaghetti alla carbonara, lasagne, tagliatelle alfredo and seriously all have been ok highly recommended. And speedy delivery too!

As a takeaway very poor 3 pizzas slumped at bottom of the boxes stone cold and undercooked not fit for the dogs let alone human consumption

Delicious food, all excellent. Great flavours, and cooked perfectly. Lovely friendly service, we felt most welcome. The restaurant was clean and tidy and felt very safe. I came for my birthday lunch and definitely wasn't disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit now.

Another amazing meal. Food and service is outstanding as always. Good to have such a restaurant so local....handy if you want a drink. We are working our way through the menu. They have taken every precaution to keep diners safe. Staff didn't take their masks off and diners put theirs on when moving around. You have to give it a try.....you won't be disappointed

Spot on food fab and good price

Not helped by drunken youth shouting as entering the bar. Ordering drinks saw first request was not available and my drink was last bottle. Our meals were absolutely Ok although have experienced better. The manager was friendly although for me too much time in between attending to table. I know my wife enjoyed the food and much more patient with service.

Excellent pizzas, generous portion of wedges friendly staff and it only took 20 minutes to prepare the food for takeaway! Will be back next time I visit the area.

Just had another takeaway collection from here this is my fourth. Food very nice and so are the staff. Next visit we are hoping to dine in. Ria :)

I have ordered a few times over lockdown for delivery and have been really impressed by the food and service. However on this occasion I ordered 2 hours prior to delivery for 8PM as this is when my partner is home from work. I called at 7:15 to ask if possible to change one of the dishes to be told it was already out for delivery, when i queried the delivery time i was told there was nothing they would do and he hung up on me. It was then delivered at 7:30, and will be cold before my partner is home from work.

We went to this restaurant after our day outing at Paultons Park . A great place for Italian food in that area . Thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Hi i am the manager of bella vita and just to answer to the gentleman before i am going any further as a restaurant policy we don't allow dog's in the restaurant that's the reason why i asked the gentleman to go around the bar entrance. But at that point he already left. I am sorry if you felt you were spoken in a rude way but that's all i said.

Having just walked through the rear door from the car park and into the restaurant area, I was greeted by a rude middle aged man on the phone, angrily waving his arms at me and in a loud and aggressive voice telling me I need to walk back out the door and around the front to the bar entrance as this is a restaurant. I told him not to worry as I wasn't going to be spoken to like that. He then realised he over reacted and told me it's ok and to just walk through to the bar. To be spoken to like that was highly insulting especially as the customers at the bar heard as well. I left the restaurant having not made the booking for 8 people I that I originally went in there for. I'll make a reservation elsewhere and make sure everyone knows why the venue has changed. By the way, his restaurant was empty when I walked in and it will remain that way if he continues to speak to customers like that. I would give this business a 0/5 rating if I was given the option as I haven't tasted any of the food or drink and his hospitality is the worst I've experienced in 40 years. I'm off to the luzborough instead.

Went for a birthday. They really did not understand the concept of dairy free. As my daughter's dessert was brought out and had ice cream with it. Also what on earth is an 'italian' restaurant doing serving shop bought pre packed tiramisu. It was awful. Never again.

I had my birthday meal here. I was not disappointed at any level. The service was friendly- right from when booking and being offered a wine taste to help me decide through to the night itself - a busy Saturday but it felt like I was the only party in town!! The food was served altogether even though we all chose different things. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and empty plates was all that was left!! The good was delicious- make that with a capital D ! I could not fault anything- a real pleasure and a perfect evening - thank you all - we will be back again soon.

Authentic Italian food prepared to perfection. The Ravioli Al Salmone was outstanding....no just amazing. Outstanding Italian food in an Italian family run restaurant adjoining the Ox Bar pub.

I visited with relatives from York and all of us were impressed with the food, which was delicious, and the polite service. This was our first visit and a place well worth returning to.
