All portions are big but the carbonara didn’t have enough quality.

Amazing restaurant… wish we had it where we lived. Both food and service was amazing! If we come to Bristol again we’ll definitely come back!

I've been 2 times, frist time was good but I felt like they're pushing to eat quickly,Second time behaviour of stuff unacceptable, I haven't finish pizza properly yet and already comeing asking for desert, I wanted to chill a little bit after food and I heard menager talking to 1 lady tell him to pay!. When they watching you all the time looks so creepy. Look like they want steal food from you.I felt trapped and uncomfortable.

An absolutely wonderful meal in a lovely picturesque restaurant overlooking the River Avon in Bristol. From the minute we got there to the time we left was a lovely experience.

Booked a large table of 13 for a hen party and the food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed it. The staff were lovely. The service was quick, especially as we had to get to the next venue for a certain time. The decor was really nice and I will definitely be back.

The service and waitresses were excellent, really attentive and friendly. The food unfortunately was nothing special which was a shame considering the beautiful setting. We had aranchini balls which were tasty but the brushetta and olives were a bit lack lustre. The draft beer was flat and the cannoli was slightly orange for some reason. Tasty but heavy. Might try again sometime for lunch so can lookout over the river.

after several past visits myself and my partner visited tonight for her birthday meal. we booked and were greated informally by some guy, who didnt even look like he worked there. shown to our table, we evenetually after a long wait ordered drinks and starters. the king prawns were a shock.... £12 for 2 kings and some small frozen prawns around them, our other starters were good sizes vs price.... the servers did not check back and just asked if we were done and to order mains, the seafood risotto was a disgusting experience for us seafood lovers, clearly rushed and gritty, this was swapped out for the salmon pasta which was a better meal. desserts were offered and they came out wrong as expected... throughout the whole night we werent checked back except after complaining about the mains. we werent offered any drinks and had to ask multiple staff for more suited cutlery and sauces. to then watch as the staff sat around being lazy on phone and staring at us instead of serving the paying customers and their friends in hoodies go behind the bar.... its safe to say we wont return for overpriced small portions and poor service...

Popped in for lunch after my friend's Citizenship Ceremony. The spaghetti carbonara was the best I have ever had, anywhere....was a bit disappointed the mozzarella and tomato starter wasn't beef tomatoes, sliced and mozzarella sliced but it was delicious, still and just used it as a side to the pasta. My friend's goats cheese and onions was amazing....staff were attentive but not invasive and the weather was beautiful...sat in the glass area watching the river and Bristol passing its day...what more could you want?

We had walked past this many times and I’m sure on a nice warm day it is a fantastic venue. It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable and we were offered Al fresco but as it was raining we stayed inside. Very extensive and traditional Italian menu with specials added. I had the Lasagna and my wife had grilled Sea Bass both were fantastic. Great staff made it a great experience Thoroughly recommended

Me and my daughter had a lovely weekend in Bristol and found this little gem of a place next to the river. Food, service was excellent, staff were lovely and would highly recommend. Hopefully we will be back soon

My partner picked this restaurant for our stay in Bristol. I’d started to follow their Instagram, and had thought about ringing ahead to reserve a seat outside, but thought would be quiet on a Monday! We were very lucky as only one seat left, was lovely to see such an atmosphere on a Monday. We actually could have just stopped at starters as we were full! The arancini balls were delicious. Definitely didn’t need the bread and olives, but were delicious. We were so lucky to have the bonus of a wonderful sunset.

Lovely location by the river, with the park across the water. My son and I had a very nice dinner here, celebrating that he is starting his last year at university. The seafood risotto was delicious. The staff were very friendly and discretely attentive.

Came Saturday, very busy, food very good

Had the set 3 course lunch . Great value but very disappointed to find hairs (X3) on my salad. Staff handled this very well and the starter was replaced and was delicious. Main courses very good . Dessert of tiramisu not great didn't taste of anything. Icecream £7.95!!!!🤔

Great little place overlooking the river. The food was lovely and a good price. My only complaint was that the Calzoni was too big 😃 and that was the small one!! Friendly waiters left you in peace but were attentive enough.

We had a really lovely family evening here. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive. Loved the view over the river and the fact that the windows open right down to the bottom.

Had an excellent meal here. We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was packed, but the staff was able to handle the customers with ease, and the food was excellent. Wanted to come back for our final meal in Bristol, but alas it is closed on Sunday evenings.

Good Italian restaurant with a great appetizer platter. Beautiful view of the water and a small park. We sat outside and enjoyed the great food and the beautiful view. We were friendly and well looked after.

Was in a group of about 20, the staff worked tirelessly to serve us and keep the beer and wine flowing. Was quiet apart from us, so we made our own atmosphere. Food was okay, tasty but maybe having a single group of 20 resulted in certain elements getting over cooked (lasagne was dry). However, it's at a nice bit and was pleasant enough.

A friend and I had such a lovely evening at Bella Vista last night! We phoned ahead so had priority for a table outside and it was such a beautiful sunny spot right on the water. We shared a number of starters, all delicious and the staff were super smiley and attentive throughout. The interior is also really beautiful, will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!

We absolutely love it here. We had prebooked but could sit outside, which is beautiful and watching the world go by on the river, nearby, was lovely. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The only slight disappointment that the booking asks if it's a special occasion, which it was, but nothing extra was done. I think if even a small effort had been made it would have been exceptional. Still, I highly recommend this lovely place.

We ate here last night, and the lasagne I had was quite simply the best I've had, fantastic great sized portion of house salad and the most delicious garlic bread perfectly soft with just the right amount of crisp, I've eaten here many times and the food is always delicious. Thank you for another great meal. The restaurant was very busy and it looked like only 2 waiting staff were working, so they worked very hard.

Ate here last night. Had carbonara and Bella vista pasta with prawns and a garlic pizza bread. All were extremely good, the prawns in my pasta were yummy and huge. The staff were so lovely as well, really friendly. With two desserts and a bottle of wine £85 so pretty good value. Would definitely recommend

Booked a table for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. Seated at the terrace overlooking the river, covered as not flaming June 😂. Interesting menu. We all had pizza which was tasty. Would come back to sample other food on the menu. Attentive and polite staff.

We have always LOVED this restaurant. The food has always been great and the staff fabulous. It has always felt like a home from home. But this time when my family booked a table for a special birthday lunch with my grandchildren, the service was appalling. Not only was the order totally mixed up but this was all blamed on us. We were served a pizza with mushrooms when we had asked for olives instead. We had been told that was fine, and then told it could not be changed. When they brought it back it was clear they had just taken the mushrooms off and put olives on instead rather than making a new pizza. The waitress brought TWO fish starters (instead of one) together with a TIRAMISU! Why would anyone want tiramisu with their fish starter? Not only that but these fish starters arrived 10 minutes later than the first two starters. Then the cabbage on one of the mains was burned, which the waitress refused to admit...even though there was smoke coming out of the kitchen!. When my daughter objected to the waitress's rudeness, the waitress said that she was only being "nice" because the children were there, and said she would get the manager in a way that sounded like a threat!!!. The restaurant seemed to be in complete chaos. This would have been funny if it hadn't spoiled a special day.

Wow, everything is perfect, the restaurant decorations, the view, the interior. The staff was helpful trying to explain every dish. The food was amazing, I ate the most delicious biscuits Cheesecake in my life ❤️😍

Found by accident on our way from the train station on a busy Friday night, despite wearing ugly clothes and carrying too many bags the staff were delighted to seat us outside by the water at our request. The waiting staff were fantastic throughout, charming and friendly too. The food was to die for! I had the prawn, scallop and saffron ravioli and it's possibly the best thing I've ever eaten.

Went here last night for dinner, and the food was ok. The arancini was nice and my pizza was just average. I asked for a small glass of rosé, which the menu said would cost me £4.50 but the bill came and charged me £7.70! I'm not sure if they gave me a different wine to the one I asked for or whether they billed me for a larger size but either way the wine I had was not a large. The other let down (which I see others have put this on their reviews) is that half way through the meal we were asked if we'd like any water for the table. Expecting this to be FREE tap water, we accepted. The waitress bought two jugs of water and added £3.50 for the water to the bill! This was just tap water, nor did it even have ice or lemon yet they wanted money for it! I've had pasta here before and it was nice so I've got a mixed review about this place. The restaurant is a nice enough setting but it's not somewhere I would specifically recommend.

Well, what a lovely lunch. The waiters were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Starters and mains were fab, too full for sweet sadly. Would recommend and would definitely return.

Well, the restaurant does have a nice view when the weather is nice as its name suggests. Jokes aside, the food is great! It's on the more authentic side with respect to other British Italian restaurants, as one might be able to tell from the pizzas. The pastas are really good too e.g. the mushroom tagliatelle, carbonara, and lasagna. The sweets are really great - could never resisted taking one despite having eaten a gigantic meal.

Good food, great ambiance! The food was truly amazing with rich and well-balanced flavours. Outdoor seating beside Avon river, overlooking castle park is worth mentioning. We tried quite a few vegetarian options - focaccia rosmarino, veg ravioli, lasagne, ricotta spin...Each dish seemed to be crafted for a delightful culinary experience.

Closes when they see it fits them, I will not be seen there again.

We celebrated my son's first birthday here and we had the best time! The staff is always nice, the food was amazing, they accommodated our requests about the menu and served our cake too. We had a great time with family and friends.

Called at 01.30 pm to book a table for two for 06.30 and reserved a place to sit outside, when went there they told we so do not have a booking. The staff were rude and didn't even listen. I showed my calls as well. Never doing there again.

Passable if not very authentic Italian food in pleasant surroundings. Carbonara contained cream and back bacon and a little too oily. The spaghetti in the carbonara contained some strands of tagliatelle so not sure what was going on in the kitchen that evening. Pizza base was good but sauce lacked gusto. Rosemary focaccia stood out from the other very average dishes. Service was decent until the waiter tried to double charge the service charge which the restaurant had already charged.

Great food good prices friendly staff.

We arrived a few minutes early to our booking, which they seemed to be unable to find, we were sat anyway, all good ( you would think) our server asked if we’d like water, we said “sure that would be great” only to find it charged on the bill at the end. We waited an hour from ordering for our starters and this was discovered when they brought us our mains. We asked for a drinks menu, which was forgotten about and two new drinks appeared at the table and we genuinely believed these were given as an apology for the hour wait on starters ( it wasn’t we were charged for these too). When we received the starter the calamari was a very thin layer of sauce and a few pieces of prawn/ calamari ( a table later received the same starter and theirs was a lot more put together) I then burnt myself on the dish, I hadn’t been informed it was extremely hot, which was is standard practice when placing a boiling plate from the oven in front of anyone (the table next to us who was getting starters as we got our dessert was told the dish was hot !!) Our mains arrived approx 20 mins later starters were cleared and the duck was like warm at best. The lamb was great. By desserts that drink menu mentioned earlier was brought over and drinks were ordered. Could fault dessert was lovely. We had to wait and chase for the bill which when recieved was a bit of a shock. Drinks we DIDN’T ORDER were on the bill. We asked to speak to manager at this point as we had been there nearly two and half hours, and received a rather disappointing valentines experience. From the moment she came over she was rather defensive about the whole thing. We explain that we had to wait an hour for starters and that I had burnt myself on the dish, along with what we had wrongly thought were complimentary drinks for the wait which is how my restaurant would have handled such a incident. She didn’t seem to care that we had a long wait, the drinks were wrong on the bill and were more expensive than what we asked for and that I had a lovely burn down my arm which I did show her. She only complained to us that is busy and mistakes happen. We said we understood that and that’s why we hadn’t said a single complaint all night but after the series of events it was not fair to expect us to pay the full bill, when the drinks on it were more expensive than what we ordered. Neither manager or waitress was around to take payment, we had to ask a lovely gentleman who gladly help us out. So we left with a soured valentines, and a burn down my arm which is a reminder to never come back!

I was going to have a 2 course lunch but the starter of fried breaded goats cheese & main of cod were so good I had the dessert, cheese cake, as well. All quality food. The only downside was the waiter brought me someone elses bruschetta starter (or they got my order wrong) & a large glass of white wine seemed expensive @ £9.50.

Very mixed feelings for this place, so it's easier for me to do a pros amd cons Pros *Good atmosphere and views if you sit outside *Main course was smoked cod and seabass, both were cooked perfectly and were delicious * One of the staff, a female waiter who didn't mention her name, was quite nice and polite. *The side of fries was just too good, perfectly crisped. Cons * The two Starters we had were extremely disappointing, fried calamari was soggy, felt like it was cooked a while ago and just microwaved to us. *The Italian olives starter was just drowning in vinegar, it was hard to taste anything. * The balsamic vinegar they had on the table was very runny, felt like water was added to it *The side of fried courgettes again was way too soggy and very oily, couldn't finish it Lasty and the worst part of our visit, was one of the waiters,Who we asked them for lemonade(lemonata) , and he brought us a sprite!! When I tried to argue his logic, he was adamant that this is what a lemonade is!! When I then asked him to take it back, he took it and walked off whilst mumbling things angrily! I mean what a reaction from a restaurant trying to convince customers lemonade is a sprite! I got up and went after him to see what exactly was the problem, two other waiters came in and also tried to convince me that a sprite is considered a lemanata because that's how people like it in the UK!! Absolutely shocking even the nice waitress who was quite nice said the same. She did come back and apologise several times to be fair, but anyway, I dont think the perfectly cooked cod will be enough for me to return or recommend this place.

Stumbled across this Italian restaurant whilst walking around Bristol on a weekend away with the wife. Lovely restaurant with a good intimate feeling. Food was great, had the 15" calzone which was massive, biggest ever had and tasted delicious. Staff were attentive and food / drink arrived quickly. Highly recommend.

Good Italian restaurant. We were lucky to grab last table on Saturday night. Weather outside was horrid so could not enjoy the scenic location. Restaurant was packed but not too noisy. Service was efficient and kitchen was coping well with the load. Pizza was OK (soft and thin base that go too soggy for the additions). Pasta dishes and steak were all great. +Loved the fried zucchini. Desert was excellent. At £135 for four was fair priced for food and drinks.

Good ambience and food. Staff was friendly. Has indoor and outdoor seating options. Outdoor seating would be best for summers as it has a lake view. Has quiet a few vegetarian options. The menu has room for improvement in terms of adding more dishes as in pasta section it had limited options. But it didn't disappoint in flavor. Overall a good option for romantic dinner/lunch.

Food was delectable and not as expensive as I thought it would be. Our special request with our booking that we had submitted in advance was not fulfilled.

Couldn’t attend a meal due to illness and they charged for the whole 2 courses of £30! That’s what the deposit is for! Fair enough to take the deposit but that’s really unfair. Called ahead ahead in the morning and there was still a party of 9 going. My friend was unaware of the cancellation policy when she booked.

Amazing food, good atmosphere (don't be fooled by the modern exterior, it has character inside) and good service. I would advise booking. The spaghetti bolognaise and lasagne are very good. They are also very quick at serving during lunch times I'm told, which is handy if you're nipping out from work.

The food was fantastic. The service was great to start with, but it was really slow when we were waiting for the bill. They looked to be understaffed which is probably why the service got worse as the restaurant got busier.

Dined on a Saturday evening with a lively atmosphere accompanied by scenic views over the harbour. Would recommend sitting outside. Great calamari, the food was good overall, but served too cold. Nice chips.

Very nice Italien restaurant. Nice food and affordable prices. The waiters are very nice and really customer orientated. We visited this place during a biøuisness trip and it's not the last time we will visit the restaurant.
