Bella Italia Northampton in Northampton

Decided to visit bella Italia for a family meal for 6 at sixfield in northampton . On arriving the staff were friendly and we ordered our drinks which arrived fairly quickly . When ordering most mains are around £15 plus . When mine arrived I was very disappointed with the portion size which arrived in a medium dessert size bowl. I ordered the pollo fungi which consisted of around 25 plus pieces of penne pasta and approx 3 x pieces of chicken around the size of a 10p piece with a scattering of several greasy looking mushroom pieces mixed in which were unappealing so left them . This was mixed with a small amount of mushroom sauce . In all not worth the money and in my opinion very overpriced . I have been a customer at this restaurant before and the portions were considerably larger covered in lots of creamy sauce. I know times are difficult and not what things used to be but in future I will go somewhere else and give this place a miss . Overall : small portions , food looked unappealing and definatly not worth paying over £ 15 for. The other members of my family who also attended commented on the size of the portions and said they are definatly not worth the money . Mr adams

Perfetto! I had an amazing time in Bella . Manager Carl and ksenia and Olsi were just very professional. Pizza came out quick and it was sooo tasty. Thanks guys I’ll def coming back when I’ll be in Northampton, hopefully around October . Ciao e Grazie

Each time going there and is worse and worse.. this time was the last time for sure. Quality below of average take away food... dirty with decoration falling apart around.

Poor food and very disappointed ! We both had sea bass -extremely small portions with just a few potatoes and veg ! This is an Italian type restaurant? Doubt it ! Microwave might be from Italy that's about it !

Called in for a light lunch, all the staff we encountered tested where very pleasant, meal were varied and very much enjoyed, from chicken, pizza, mushrooms, and others. Very pleasant surroundings and the staff had no trouble splitting the bill 6 ways, toilets all clean and tidy. Would come again if in the area.

Great service and good food but rather too noisy for us. However Saturday lunch this is to be expected. Chicken caesar salad very good and gambino needed a bit more oomph!

My wife and I called in for an impromptu lunch, was greeted by charming & attentive front of house / server staff. Food was delivered in a timely manner & was excellently prepared & presented. I however did have a slight issue of my own making with my risotto. I had previously had surgery on my throat & as a consequence have difficulty swallowing food. I unfortunately was unable to swallow the rice & veggies in the risotto, the service team & Chef were excellent in adapting the food in order for me to be able to swallow. My thanks goes to the whole team but especially to the Chef, Dave, and to the service team for going above & beyond. Cannot rate the attention given & the service provided highly enough.

Visited for lunch. Service good, polite and freindly older gentleman a credit to the place. The food is very over priced. Pizza was absolutely disgusting, overcooked, no cheese, either re cooked or frozen. Really disappointing food overall. Avoid.

I had the beef tortellini and it was quite rubbery compared to how it normally is. There wasn't as much sauce as usual and quite disappointing. My friend thoroughly enjoyed his, so must have just been a bad day with mine.

Pre theatre dinner. Looking for somewhere that was easy to access and park, with food that we’d all enjoy… Looked online and discovered a £5 per meal offer on selected meals that ticked our boxes! I booked online, we were greeted and directed to our seats. Jessica was our friendly hostess and she took our order with knowledge of the menu and checked everything was ok. Food was very good and exactly what was needed before our theatre performance. Couldn’t fault our experience in any way… ✔️

I visited with two friends just before Christmas and prior a local footbal match. My amigos had been before and seemed more than happy with their food. This was my first visit but I found the margharita pizza very average. If anything, it was slightly overcooked and had something of an unusual taste, although not particularly unpleasant. Annoyingly, the table where we were seated had a window draft, which also meant that the pizza cooled down quicker than I would have liked. Other than that it's a nice enough place and the service was quick and attentive.

Very poor … booked birthday table on 28/12 for 12 people … we arrived and restaurant was busy ( not an issue - we were happy to wait a while as appreciated it was shortly after Xmas) An hour later and we only had just received our first drink- not surprising with only one bartender at the bar for a full restaurant … meanwhile tables around us were complaining in our earshot of cold food and poor service … one customer had her birthday cakes dropped on the floor by staff with no apology … Nearly 2 hours , cold starters and still no sight of mains , no apologies for delays especially seeing as we had small children at the table that had been kept waiting … When we asked again for an update we were told very abruptly by staff member “ well we have tables here and tables there, it’s not our fault !“ - yes we know you have tables hun, you’re a restaurant, that’s kind of the idea 🤦🏻‍♀️ We spoke to the on duty manager , again no apology for delays , customers complaining around us , we had enough and got up to leave without paying for such poor service … saw same manager at the door and she just opened the door for us , didn’t even argue or ask us why we were leaving, she obviously had picked her battles and admitted defeat for the day ! Shame as used to be a good family restaurant but staffing and service shocking considering we had booked a large table which would have been a considerable bill . Won’t be returning.

This used to be a regular meal out before going to the cinema, but there were some issues over quality, however this has improved hugely with excellent foo being cooked and served, well worth a visit for the price point.

pasta was okay, so was the puddings, but having been bought up with italian parents and oven cooked lasagne, i was looking forward to that dish, i got a scolding hot bowl of mushy stuff from the microwave

Coming here for a second time served by Ksenia again amazing and lovely service will definitely come again
