Went for a lunch with my kid. The service was top. Tatiana was very nice with us and my kid. The food is average but I was not expecting gastro neither.

Everyone was so lovely! The food was absolutely delicious aswell it was me and two kids and they were a bit rowdy but the staff couldn’t have been kinder. I’m diabetic and had a hypo while I was there and asked a random person, not my server, for some sugary coke and she was straight out with it. Service was great! Food was delicious and we did the kids eat free option so not too pricey either!

Used to love Bella Italia but this was awful. Rude, ignorant staff and food wasn’t any better. My son’s margarita pizza looked like the 99p smart price ones from Asda but tasted worse. Very disappointing and not one member of staff asked if everything was ok or if we wanted extra drinks, condiments etc and the place was dead!!

Horribly rude staff!! Avoid at all cost!! Went to eat in here today. Place was mostly empty, there was no sign or employee in sight, so we just seated ourselves and started to look at the menu. A bald man with a terrible attitude and a face like thunder came over and told us off for not waiting to be seated when I said sorry there was no sign and we couldn't find anyone he argued rudely and said you still have to wait. It was upsetting and unprofessional, so we left. I didn't get the waiters name, but he was bald and rude with a terrible authority complex

First visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great staff, great food, lovely atmosphere and our server Tatiana was especially attentive, friendly and prompt. Great visit.

Customer service Good on average but could be better in warmth and approach to clients. Service was quick but on a Saturday night we were suprised that we were the only clients by 8.30pm. Staff should be attentive and serve extra cuttlery when one course is over before the next. Clients should not have to ask for it. Food Ordered a pizza and a pasta. The pasta was ok. Nothing special about it. The pizza was dry hard and I have seen better myself with a homebaked pizza from Iceland. The icecream was delicious Value for money Poor. Not worth what we paid on the final bill.

Service was a bit slow there was 3 of us eating but they brought 2 meals and I was sitting waiting for mine it would of been better if they had brought the meals out all together. The food was enjoyable and the Desserts were really nice.

Tasty dishes, friendly and fast service.

Quick bite to eat with a family get together. Wasn't busy, and a group of 6 adults and 3 kids were seated with minimal fuss, with space found to park the pram. Staff were attentive and well organised with drinks delivered promptly and the usual colouring packs for some tired and hangry kids. You've obviously got plenty choice here, but even for somewhere that' franchised, Bella still stands above most of the other options for me. The food always tastes that bit fresher, and a bit better quality than the competitors.

After previous mediocre experiences years ago at Bella Italia, we decided to give it another go. The restaurant was quiet when we were visiting, which surprised me for December. Only half the restaurant was open, and only 1 server was working at the time. Despite this, service was friendly and quick. All the pasta we had was good. Not the best we’ve ever had, but far from the worst either. I expected it if I’m honest, being a bit cheaper than the other Italians in the Metrocentre. The atmosphere is also quite pleasant, music is authentic and makes you feel transported to a new place. Clean too. I’d definitely return, especially if offering set menus. Nice for a change!

Dined here on 11th feb lunch time. Food was ok nothing groundbreaking, service staff were polite but inexperienced like all chains but no big deal, experience was ok until I’d paid the bill and took my son who has a disability to the loo, opened the disabled toilet door to find the floor covered in p**s and s**t smeared all over the toilet seat, bear in mind my little boy has to sit down on the loo, moved onto the men’s where there is one cubicle, once again the toilet seat and floor swimming in p**s, so went to report it to the manager, who offered an apology and oh the cleaner hasn’t been in this morning. I said how can a restaurant be allowed to open and function with toilets in that condition, he just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry once again. Will never go back based on this. A restaurant shouldn’t be allowed to open its doors with toilets in that condition. UTTERLY APPAULING !

Seriously expensive place! The pasta i had in here was not good, it lacked taste and the texture was poor and damp. The staff in here all look miserable with no hello, thank you or goodbye. Certainly not a place to make you feel good!

Time of dining Sunday 14th Jan 2024. Whilst in metrocentre we decided to head Bella Italia for a 2 course special. I've been here at least 6 times previously and always had a great experience. This time I did not. We waited patiently at the front of the establishment where it says please wait here, we had the menu in our hands to have a look while we waited to be seated. Staff could plainly see we were stood there but nobody came to say 'give me 2 moments' or even acknowledge us. I have a really bad back which was going mad and so we sat down at a table to relieve the pain. The woman who I assume is "front of house" looked angrily at us and and said "who seated you there?" I explained that I have a bad back and sat here, she then turned her back and ignored us, not even looking in our direction for the entirety of our stay. There was a lovely server who was friendly and we ordered our drinks and food through him. The starters came and they were tiny but tasty so we didn't mind as we knew we had our mains to come. When the mains came out I thought they had brought me a kids lunch or a mistake. I ordered Chicken Milanese.... What came was a chicken escalope which you can get from any supermarket, a pot of half melted garlic butter and some plain spaghetti which had 2 tbs of sauce through it. Complained, they didn't offer to change it they offered extra seasoning.. Black pepper and cheese... Which I tried but it was still horrible. I ate what I could and left the rest. In the end they took £5 off the bill and offered a dessert. Won't be coming back here again.

Had to sit myself as nobody bothered. Very mediocre mains. Plain, watery, pretty tasteless. Was offered £5 off my £16 main, which is less than the price of a starter. Some are the equivalent of a chicken kiev with watery plain spaghetti. Embarrassing. The others lack seasoning/herbs. A free gelato was offered, but no further money off as an alternative. The gelato was fine, and the starter was nice. Wine is medicore, the soft drinks are good.

This was my first visit to Bella Italia, I was always slightly put off by the fact it was a chain restaurant. Visited with family on Saturday. Service was fantastic. The staff really looked after us and the food was lovely. My daughter had mozzarella sticks that came with a delicious relish/jam. I had asked the waiter about it and told him how much I liked it and he brought me over a tub to take home. So kind of him. There's was lots of choice on the menu, and a set menu that had loads of choice and was good value. I would definitely visit again.

I visited with my sister whilst shopping in the Metrocentre. I found the restaurant lacked atmosphere. The service wasn’t great and the pasta was terrible I ordered spaghetti carbonara and it was basically a bowl of dry spaghetti with a few bits of pancetta. There was no sauce at all. My sister ordered pizza which looked better but she said it was very dry. The service was poor. No check backs and they didn’t ask if everything was ok. Especially when seeing a full bowl of pasta left uneaten. I wouldn’t go back here again.

Food was OK. Portion size shocked me. Ordered seafood risotto 15.99 and this is what came. This is before eating ANY. It was about 4 tablespoons of food. I complained before trying it as couldn't believe it was a full adult portion. Advised it was. My shock clearly surprised them as they offered to charge me less. My son's burger was also disappointingly small. And not cheap. We only ate here as Zizzi was closed. Zizzi offers MUCH better value and in much nicer surroundings so we won't be back to Bella. The food tasted OK. Nothing special at all. Honestly can't believe this was 16 quid! And pizzas nearly 15. If we hadn't been using a student discount I'd have left after reading menu.

Very Poor service one person did not eat! Ordered starter of bruschetta, the most tasteless bruschetta ever where was the garlic? Just plain tomatoes basically with red onion. Ordered Carbonara with out pancetta. We did ask if this was possible and were told yes. So we went ahead and ordered it. When it some it was the smallest bowl Of spaghetti ever! With no sauce at all it was very dry. Looked like was jay cream at bottom of the bowl. We asked for more sauce for it only to come with meat in? We said is this meat and was told yes! If you can’t do Carbonara without meat just say we did ask. No offer to take both meals away so I was eating while My partner decided what to have. By the time the waiter come back I was finished also portion sizes so small. No real apology and left service charge in yo boot safe to say we asked for it to be removed! Waiter couldn’t care less basically no manager apology. We didn’t want yo make a fuss so just left!

Been to Bella for a dinner and it was a great experience with a very friendly staff Specially Sarah , had to say this the taste was so good that I would be going back for the food made by chef and the way it was presented was awesome.

Ordered a burger. When it arrived it was burnt, black and hard/crispy. For £16 I would expect a hand made style beef patty, this was more like a frozen pre processed burger. Sent it back and a second one was prepared. It arrived exactly the same as the first one, burnt and crispy. I was then informed by a manager that all their burgers are cooked "well done". Sent it back again and went to Five Guys for a proper burger.

First time trying out bella italia. Food was okay but the service was great. Sarah made it a really pleasant experience!

First time trying out Bella Italia. Waiting for someone to acknowledge your existence at the enterance can take quite a while, once in and sat down, it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered a mojito which I then sent back as it tasted like a mojito out of a can from a supermarket, with no crushed mint or lime etc and the soda in it was flat. We then waited a little while for our food, the bolognese was pretty much just spaghetti, not a lot of bolognese and tasted very bland. My husband said his burger was “edible”. The staff were really nice but seem quite unhappy/sad. Overall there is no chance we’d go back

We visited on a Monday evening. The Restaurant was relatively quiet, only a small number of diners present. It took a while to be greet, maybe 2 minutes, just felt like a.long time. The table we were sat at needed cleaning and there were used napkins and cutlery beneath the table. Once service did get going it was efficient and the waiting staff.were helpful. The food was nice too.

It was alright. The staff were friendly but out of all of the tables I feel as if my group was placed at the dirtiest one with a spoon and napkin on the floor with cheese covering the table. Food arrived quickly but was mediocre. Starters were nice but varied in temperature. Mains arrived quickly after. Ordered a carbonara but it was not very nice with very little sauce and it was not hot. 5/10

Appalling customer service! Very rude staff, especially the manager. We visited there with 2 fun buggies and the stuff didn’t let us in. When we asked why they let a previous customer in with a fun buggy, the manager said they don’t want to discuss that with us in a very rude manner. I asked if it is discrimination then but they replied with the same sentence over and over again without giving a reason, and asked us to leave. We didn’t feel welcome there and also felt discriminated. Will never be going back there again!

This Bella Italia never disappointed. Never had a bad meal here. Plus if you have a valid cinema ticket, you get a discount, if you select from the main menu.

We had gone here quite late on due to going to the cinema late, the place was quiet so as we naïvely thought we’d get served faster and it would be a lovely time due to not that many people around. I had asked for the spag and meatballs to come without cheese and the server was aware of this and my dislike of cheese, my food came out and straight away I had said it had cheese on so they took it back and replaced it! I thought oh lovely nice and fast replacing my food but no. They had mixed in the cheese and just moved it all around hoping I wouldn’t notice so I had complained again (which getting ahold of a server was very difficult) and they said we’ll have to make a new one followed by what looked like a staff meeting around the kitchen area talking and looking over, felt very uncomfortable for not that much of a big ask for no cheese. So whilst this is all going on my partner is eating his dinner and having a lovely time and had finished his dinner by the time I had got the correct food followed by ‘oh here’s a small bowl of chips as a sorry’ but still had to pay £17 for food that was barely warm and had to be remade 3 times but oh got free chips that were well more than half the price! And paid £63 for the privilege of having a shocking start to our date night!

Ordered online from their macshack absolutely disgusting. Paid £40 half the food was missing and couldn't get through to anyone on the phone to try and sort it out. The quality of the food was rubbish and the sides weren't big enough for a child. An absolute waste of money I will not be ordering from again and would not recommend. If you can't even get simple food and an order with 4 items right then you might as well close your doors.

Went yesterday with a friend for lunch. The restaurant looks great with its new refurb. We had the pasta meal deal the food was great and Stephan who served us was fab.

Came out with my family for a lunchtime bite to eat which was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Amy was very polite and helpful throughout the entire meal. The Carbonara was cooked to perfection so full compliments to the chefs. 5* will most definitely be back...

Greeted by Stephen who looked like he hated his life. No interactions at all apart from taking the food order - he wasn't interested in making a connection with us or other guests and we just didn't feel very welcome. Food certainly isn't freshly cooked...
