Very helpful and nice staff. Food was good and delivery quick. As you could say.of everywhere in this location it was overpriced.

Great service and good food. We've ordered doughballs, ham, chicken and mushroom pizza and spinach and ricotta cannelloni. The food arrived promptly and it was very tasty. The waiter Marcin was very helpful and attentive during the whole dinner. Definately recommended!

I would say that he is an Italian without many pretensions. The pizza and spaghetti we had were pretty average and for the price we paid, we thought it was expensive.

Went with a friend over for dinner and couple of drinks. We been denied drinks without ordering food that we were looking into. Been asked for IDs (we are 35) because we were wearing casual clothes Been asked from the Manager to leave in a very rude way, we were just looking into some food and a drink to catch up after work so unfortunately we weren't dressed smart. Be aware you shouldn't be going in jeans and a hoodie.

My wife and I had our Anniversary at Bella Italia (Hanover Street) on Thursday 10th October.. Can I please thank the team there for providing 1st class food and service throughout the night. We both enjoyed the Set Menu offer, The Chicken Milanese with a delicious Melted Garlic Butter was really tasty. Can we both thank Magda who made our night very, very special.. Her service was excellent and the few surprises she laid on for our meal created beautiful memories that will never be forgotten by us... Thank you Magda 🙏... We will most definitely be back soon.

Absolutely disgusting, pizza was cold and stale, pasta had no flavour and bacon was all fatty. Charged £5 for a coke that was mostly filled with ice. Was looking forward for a nice meal for a special occasion and completely ruined the day.

We had Valeria, and our dinner was fantastic, truly the best server we’ve had on our entire trip in Edinburgh! Kids meals were fantastic and don’t miss the carbonara!

Valeria served us the first day and two days later we returned due to her good service and the quality of the food.

The restaurant was nice and cosy. A few of the tables are close together so there isn't much space or privacy, but the staff were lovely and very hardworking, and the food was delicious. It was a little expensive in comparison to other restaurants we ate in during our time in Edinburgh, so if you're on a budget whilst traveling it might not be the best option.

If you are around please walk a bit farther and get a better experience. Meatballs are not home made and drinks are very sad.

We always eat at Bella Italia when we visit Edinburgh. The food is really good, we like the place and the service. Our waitress, Andrea, was really helpful with the choice of food. We are glad we listened to her.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! We were on quite a quick time schedule and so didn’t have much time, but the staff were PERFECT!! When we entered, we were greeted warmly and when we said that we didn’t have much time but the staff assured us that it would be fine. As soon as we were given our table, we got our menus too and the waitress, Andrea told us whenever we were ready to order we could give her a shout and she would take our order. When we were ready we ordered drinks and mains and the drinks came within five minutes. They tasted incredible and after only ten minutes of ordering our food came, and was perfection!! We were asked straight away if we wanted any sauces, spices or anything else. While we were eating our meal our lovely waitress came over and asked if we wanted any desserts we could order now and she could ask the kitchens to get them ready so that when we were done with our mains we could get our desserts straight away as she knew we didn’t have much time. We sadly had to say no as we had to go but the food was so amazing and the staff were the best!! I would definitely recommend!!!

Visited here as it's a familiar sight for us when visiting edinburgh. I'll keep it short and sweet. Meatballs was super dry and rubbery, spicy sausage and chicken was saturated with red chilli's and no actual sausage, limited set menu Unlike other bella restaurants, was told to keep the cutlery for our mains instead of just swapping it, they had a issue with flies, I asked for hickorys bbq sauce and was given plain bbq, not once was me or my girlfriend asked if everything was okay with our meal and to top it off they had the nerve to slap a 12% service charge ontop. Hope the place gets shut down if I'm honest... wouldn't be a total loss to edinburgh and won't be returning on our future visits to the city

Great place to grab a bite to eat when travelling to Edinburgh. Our server was lovely and attentive to our allergies. Could see all the staff were very busy but she still made sure to check up on us and make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Saska!

Came here for lunch with my wife on Tuesday. I got the meat calzone and the wife got the Bolognese. Lovely meal, great atmosphere. Our server, Saskia, was lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after. Definitely will be visiting again soon!

Fantastic experience! As a customer with an allergy, Magda our server, made sure to communicate the allergy to the kitchen. It was the best dairy free pizza I’ve ever had!

Arrived mid Edinburgh Fringe and asked for table for one. I'm sure there are lots of solo visitors to the city during the Fringe. I was then taken upstairs away from the main restaurant and diners and sat in a booth set for 4 people. Treated as if I was in the wrong for dining alone. Food was OK but after the way I was made to feel like an outcast for being alone I certainly will not be returning to Bella Italia. I have dined alone on several occasions during this Fringe as my daughter is helping in a theatre show so we grab food alone and then meet up again later on.....every other restaurant, cafe has been lovely and not discriminated against me for being alone the way that Bella Italia has. Think extra training is needed on customer care and service to irradiate exclusions.

We ordered some pizzas through Uber Eats from this restaurant. When we receive the delivery, we barely receive half of what we requested. From Uber Eats they tell us that they are not responsible even though the delivery man himself tells them that he has only brought us a bag in which not a single pizza fits and we tried to call the restaurant until we were exhausted and we did not go beyond a locution telephone. Lamentable organization and absolute lack of attention.

I was eating today in this restaurant with my sister and I have to say it exceeded my expectations, I order a carbonara and it was incredible, the waitress who served us called Valeria, she was so kind and sweet she explained the menu to us in detail, she was alert all the time to us in case we needed anything. The drinks and the food arrived quickly. I will definitely recommend the restaurant to my family.
