Bella Italia - Dover in Dover

Amazing dinner at Bella Italia. Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly as were the other staff. The Bella Italia is within Holiday Inn, we were staying round the corner but said next time we’d love to stay there. We went on Sunday evening and it wasn’t busy at all so we sat in the lounge area by the bar which was lovely. It was my partners birthday and they came out with a little brownie and sang happy birthday!

We visit here regularly for lunch during the week. The staff are always friendly and helpful and we always get a warm welcome. There is a choice of the standard pizza/pasta menu plus an OAP value menu offering a choice of starters, mains and puds. This time we had pizza and lasagna. Both were delicious and served piping hot. This is a smashing place for lunch with friends/family and is popular with older customers at lunchtime.

We wanted something with no frills the night before we travelled to France. We read some of the reviews and were a little dubious, but as the menu suited everyone we took the risk. I have to say we were very impressed. The staff were all extremely efficient and we had excellent service throughout. We expected the food to be basic however we were pleasantly surprised. My husband had the Chicken Milanese, I had the lasagne and the children had lasagne, pepperoni pizza and chicken bites. The children also had brownies and ice cream for desert. The food was all lovely and we all cleaned our plates. It is a little pricey for a chain and some of the authentic Italians nearby looked more reasonable in price however we all really enjoyed it

Four of us had dinner here and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our food We all had different mains and they were extremely tasty and generous portions Although the restaurant is situated in a hotel it lacks a little atmosphere but it is worth going for the food I fully recommend a visit

Slow service and awful dessert. I’ve had the tiramisu there before and it’s been amazing, today’s was tiny and more chocolate in flavour than coffee, was awful and not worth the money. Very disappointing visit.

As a family group including small children this was the perfect spot for us. To begin with parking, directly outside the front door and free. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed which suited us for celebrating a 4th birthday. The food was as expected for a chain Italian our group had fungi pasta, pepperoni pizza, carbonara, bruschetta) , nice enough, but what made it for us was the service. The manager and the waitress went above and beyond. The restaurant let us bring our own birthday cake and gave us some ice cream to go alongside (for which they didn't charge). No problems using my restaurant card voucher and also, a bluelight NHS discount. Perfect spot for a Sunday afternoon - the roast looked and smelt good too although we didn't have that on this visit, no doubt we will return.

Stayed overnight prior to a coach trip to Holland and we ate dinner at this restaurant which is situated in the hotel. Restaurant staff also served behind the hotel bar but they provided really quick service and we enjoyed our meals of half pizza and salad, burger, pollo funghi (see my pic). The restaurant has a captive audience as there’s nothing much else nearby but prices were reasonable in my opinion and with a drink it came to around £20pp for what we had. The restaurant also serves as the seating area where you can sit for the hotel buffet breakfast.

Food is just not Italian what so ever. Pizza bottom looked and tasted lethargic. Quantity over quality. I’m being generous giving this 3 stars. However, Waiters and waiteresses were very good.

Food lovely , but the service after was awful , tried to pay with a gift card only to be told could not use as it was not a shop restaurant , the manager then said if I accept I will lose out of my wages . Left in an awful mood will not go again

Went here in a group of 9 for my grandads birthday. We waited 45 minutes for our main meal to even reach us, Bolognese was watery, the fungi mushroom pasta looked and tasted revolting. Don’t even mention the deserts/ the brownie was gritty and powdery, the tiramisu was gritty anf left an awful residue in your mouth and the cookie with ice cream you couldn’t even cut the cookie it was so hard. Don’t eat here! Care to mention we didn’t get one smile from any of the waiters! Poor service and food was awful!

Went for a meal at the weekend , staff exceptional, took the vouchers without any hesitation. Food was hot and very tasty . The only little point was the coldness for which the restaurant manager did he best to overcome for us

Lovely meal and great service, Eliza was great as always. Highly recommend coming and the pizza is always tasty 😊

We visited this restaurant as a family on Friday evening. The restaurant was busy, and extremely loud - a lack of soft furnishings and the acoustics of the restaurant served like an echo chamber and we had to yell across the table to hear each other. Two of us ordered pizza, and unfortunately it was very oily and greasy, not to the standard of a usual Bella Italia venue. - we have had the same experience before Christmas when we visited and had hoped it was a one-off, sadly it appears not. Other dishes were very tasty, so it's just the pizza that appears to need some attention. I must compliment the staff, they were lovely, polite and attentive, and the gelato sandwich we shared for a pudding was beautiful, so there was plenty of good stuff to mention. Unfortunately the pizza - which is obviously a staple of this type of restaurant - did let the evening down to the extent that we wouldn't be able to recommend the restaurant, a good pizza restaurant using a quality pizza oven should not be getting this wrong!

Downloaded voucher off of website before entering restaurant, showed voucher when ordering to which manager refused to accept. Manager abrupt and rude wouldn’t go there again

Enjoyed a great meal here. Good portions and good service from the team! Prices are good as well. Restaurant is situated inside the Holiday Inn Hotel.

I’d booked at the restaurant in Whitfield. I’d put on the electronic order form that it was my wife's birthday, so when we arrived we were shown to a table that had been decorated accordingly. We were greeted with a glass of fizzy wine, and at the end of our meal, which was very nice indeed, we were greeted with a large complimentary piece of cheese cake on a plate with “happy birthday” drizzled across it in chocolate. And, we had two waitresses sing happy birthday to her. What a brilliant touch, and a big thanks to them for doing so. A superb evening

Enjoyed a great meal at the Bella Italia this week. Great pasta and bologna! Lots of food as well as great service from the team!
