Bella Italia Bolton in Bolton

The food was abhorrent and revolting. Student discount didn’t work. The carbonara was simply put a thing of nightmares, the pepperoni pizza was soggy and they spat on my margarita. Abby was despicable, the coeliac of our group was ridiculed by staff to the point he choked on his hard pasta.

I attended with my partner tonight. We arrived and the place was pretty busy, but not too busy. I asked for a window seat which we was taken to straight away. As soon as we sat down we ordered drinks which took about 15/20 minutes to arrive. The food order was taken and our drinks still hadn’t arrived. We both ordered calamari to start, which came in tiny bowls and no side plates. The calamari itself was awful, tasteless and overdone massively. My partner finished his, I didn’t finish mine. I then ordered salmon and my partner ordered pasta, he really enjoyed his and my salmon was ok, nothing special. We ordered drinks as soon as our main course came, again, the drinks took forever and by the time they arrived we had already finished our food. The experience overall was poor, and the food and service was not worth £60. I suggest taking on more staff, and better chefs.

The staff being lovely is the only reason why I have given it a rating of two. The food was inedible. My daughters carbonara tasted like tinned Mac and cheese. The toilets were dirty and the tables were sticky. Paid for children’s value meal of a drink, main and pudding. Decided to leave before getting pudding just to get out of there. Very disappointing. Will not be returning.

After all the issues since September 2020 we again returned to Bella after a visit to the shops. We di not want much, just a drink and soup. NO MINISTRONIE SOUP ! An Italian without that is very rare .The welcome was great the two meals we had were perfect and the fizzy water is still the best .The Manager and one of the staff immediately recognised us and what we normally had. Absolutely great.Go and try it , not flash or fancy but good food .

EDYTA was our waitress and she really was fantastic and helped to make it a very enjoyable lunch. Great food too Thank you we will be back

What can I say? I have been to Bella Italia many times and always enjoyed the varied menu and reasonable portion sizes. Well what a change following lockdown. I understand company's need to recoup money but not at the expense of losing customers. The choice was limited and the portion sizes ridiculous. A prawn starter with 3 prawns cost £5.95! Cannot fault the staff (after all its not their fault). I would also be very wary of all the excellent reviews from people who strangely have never reviewed on trip advisor before.....very suspicious

Incredible. Showstopping. The pizza I had was absolutely incredible with the Nduja Sausage 😍 chicken and just delicious. Maribel was legendary and just such fun. Excellent service 🤗 The balls were lovely

I took my children here with their nana mid afternoon following a day out during half term holiday. Great to see the lunch menu available with a good selection for all three courses. The children’s portions were exactly right for my boys without being over facing! The service was brilliant! Edyta was very attentive, friendly with a smile on her face! Food was delicious and there were clean plates all round! Thank you! Couldn’t have been any better! Will definitely be returning!

have always been very happy with food and service at this restaurant. Today was particularly special. MIRABEL welcomed us in, gave us a lovely seat near the fresh air.....hot day. I could tell she had a lovely smile even through her mask. Stopped to chat a couple of times which always goes down well. I feel a promotion coming on for her. Thx Mirabel, we'll be back for sure

The visit today was lovely, the restaurant was clean and socially distanced. Maribel our server made it even better. She was friendly and really helpful, would love to have her as our server again. She also recommended a type of pasta which she thought would go with my dish which made the visit more remarkable and personal. Would 100% recommended.

Really enjoyed our meal out for my sons 4th birthday. Pinar was attentive without being over the top, and genuinely made us feel as though nothing was too much trouble. Will be returning off the back of her service alone.

We went to Bella Italia last night for a birthday meal. The food was lovely and the service from Edith was exceptional. She was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for us. We weren't rushed at all and were made to feel like she was really happy we were there. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Went today for a few hours with my family. Being spolied of the waitress who treat us as part as her family. Maribel (the waitress) is lovely and really care. The humus was a bit pour, but the rest of the food was lovely. Definitely we will come back again. Xx

Very friendly staff, manager was so nice we didn’t have to wait for a table and really enjoyed eating inside after months of not being able too. I ordered a pasta with tomato and mozzarella, my sister ordered the lasagna. My pasta to be honest was dreadful it was like a child’s pasta dish, no flavour. When the waitress came to see if we was okay I said my pasta was very bland, but it was my fault as I ordered it! She said it was because it was the vegetarian option? She said she would replace it free of charge, which I thought was so nice as it was my mistake, I asked for the lasagna. She returned to say the chef said I could have a free glass of wine whilst I waited. It was a large glass of wine and the meal took about 10 minutes to arrive. this was excellent customer service I think the waitress was called Megan I would like to thank her.

The restaurant was busy considering it was Monday. We was late due to traffic however this wasn’t a problem and we was welcomed with smiles and understanding.Maribel was an excellent waiter who advised us on the best foods and never made us feel under pressure to rush. Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, confused our table with another, for the price we were expecting more , staff was rude when paying because we did not include an additional gratuity, I would have tipped if the service had been even at McDonald’s level of service

Went up to Bella for the first time since reopening and as usual, the food and service was ace. Abby and Kherys served us and couldn't have been nicer. 5☆ service, we will be back. Cheers ladies.

Just had a lovely meal at Bella Italia in Bolton all because of Maribel, she made us feel welcome as soon as we entered. She was very kind and provided us with excellent service all night. She is a credit to the restaurant and we had a very pleasant evening because of her.

Highly recommend coming here. Our waiter was called Pinar. Pinar was very polite and welcoming who took great care of us. Great customer service delivered from start to finish. Pinar recommended the Italian tappas which we went for and it was delicious. It's good to go into any type of business and have people who will go out their way for the customers. Would definitely go back and looking forward to it.
