Very nice Italian restaurant in Leeds.Very good menu lots to choose from.lasagna is to die for.Good prices.Staff are polite friendly and helpful.Not too far from train station.

I had a dreadful experience today with Bella Italia leeds, I have a gourmet card which entitles me to discounts at the restaurant after 12 lunch but I must call and reserve a table and advise them I have a gourmet card, I called the branch at 2pm as I was outside and saw there were just a couple of diners in the restaurant The guy on the telephone told me I could not come at 2 15pm but at 3.15pm I explained I was outside and could see the restaurant was empty He said well you enjoy your day and terminated the call, Obviously I will be contacting their hhesd office as I'm sure they monitor calls for staff training. Maybe the restaurant couldn't be bothered dealing with booking where they would not make much money, Very poor experience So I advise anyone in leeds thinking of dining out look elsewhere You will not get good customer service. 😒

Food was out of this world!! Really lovely. The staff were nice and friendly and the service was great. Not too long a wait between courses and we'll definitely be back.

We hadnt booked ahead and it was a very busy evening but the girl on reception / bar duties managed our expectations well by explaining we might have a little bit of a wait. We did indeed have a short wait at our table before getting to order but it was fine. The waiter was also very friendly. We had pizza and it was tasty and lots of it so no portion problems for us.

My boyfriend and I came here for a lovely lunch, using one of the fantastic January deals which made or meal here incredibly cost-effective. The service was excellent and we were seated by the window which made for an excellent people-watching spot as shoppers charged down Briggate. We both indulged in pasta dishes, I got a funghi Pollo dish which was just what the doctor ordered. We also shared a cookie dough for pudding. I thought the portion sizes were just right - I left feeling satisfied yet not overly full. I was delighted to see the bill reach just £17, while I noticed the couple to our left had to pay over £62 - they obviously hadn't done their research on those January deals!

We recently visited Bella Italia Leeds Briggate in which we were very disappointed. We are a family and I ordered 2 adult main pizzas, 2 sides and 2 larger kids meals. We were disappointed with the portions. The kids starters came much small than other visits to many other Bella Italia restaurants (never this one) and the kids Pizza was tiny and I also ordered a main side of Garlic Ciabatta, this was £3.99 and I got 1 slice!!!! £3.99 for 1 slice of pizza. I immediately raised it with the male manager who brought the food which he advised that was the 'Bella Italia' chain set portion sizes. No it isn't. I have visited many other Bella Italia establishments and we have never been served such little portions. He was rude and aggressive in his tone, he would rather chat back and almost argue than listen to me. I ended the conversation. Our waiter however was great, he came up to chat to us and he listened to me and understood. I don't go about restaurants or entering I have received more previously and that's how I was left to feel. That male manager need to look up micro aggression and learn how to be better in future. Service and Portion sizes get 0 stars. Food taste was lovely and we were impressed so 1 star

Very busy this evening as would be expected given time of year, service ok but food portion sizes were ridiculously small. Ordered caramelised onion flat bread which was tiny not even a portion for one to start with let alone share!! Dessert also tiny portion. Won’t be coming to this Bella Italia again!

Been going to this restaurant for years, infact it was always our default place to go when we visit Leeds, usually when we are seeing a performance at the Arena. We went yesterday as a pre-cursor to visiting the Christmas market and it will be our last visit. The food has gradually been getting worse since the dreaded covid and unfortunately there is no sign of it getting better. As a starter we used to have a sharing tomato/garlic pizza which was absolutely delicious, now you get a "sharing" flatbread, as they call it, but it is half the size and is no way big enough for 2. We both like to have a calzone, back in the day it was as big as a dinner plate and would fill you up for the rest of the day, now they insist on serving it on a wooden board, which we both hate as they are so unhygienic, and yet again half the size, but more importantly not half the price. I know it was hard for the hospitality trade during covid, and we all expect prices to go up, but to halve the product and add 50% to the price is not the way to go. You wouldn't mind if the calzone was good, but I frequently make them and mine are far superior. On top of that it was served warm and by the time we had eaten it, approximately 5 minutes, because it was so small, it was cold. Also their policy on allergies is not good, they always ask when you go in if you have one, I do, and it is chillies, which is very difficult nowadays as they seem to be in anything. The waitress's response was, "we can't guarantee 100% that there are no chillies in anything", Great so I just have to sit and wait for the ambulance!! I will add though, the staff were very pleasant and don't want to complain about them, except the young girl never noticed when our glasses were empty, surely that is more income??? We wish we had just eaten from one of the many food traders that were part of the Christmas market.

We nearly didn’t come here after reading some of the recent reviews. They must have gone to a different restaurant than I did. Me and my husband enjoyed a lovely meal here with competitive pricing. Waiters were timely and attentive, food was good, nice atmosphere, nothing to fault. Husband recommends the marco pollo duck dish, we’ve never seen a dish like that on a menu before and it was delicious. I enjoyed the spicy sausage pasta. Would definitely return!

We both ordered pizza. The toppings have now been paired down to barely a covering of tomato paste on the very cheap bases. A couple on the neighbouring table ordered a garlic mushroom starter and there were so few mushrooms in each little pot you could see the bottom of it! Extremely poor value for money. I’ve given it one star as the service was good. Won’t be visiting again as there are far better quality lunchtime venues now in Leeds city centre.

Just Awful. after we ordered I went to use the ladies.They were filthy haven't had a good clean for ages thick dust everywhere dirty doors .ordered a lasagne a pizza a pasta and a prawn starter .All the food was Luke warm at a push the pizza was stone cold when we mentioned this they took it all away to heat up which I presumed they put it in the microwave.The pizza at this point was like a dry piece of cardboard .Not acceptable.we wanted to leave but because my husband had eaten some of his lasagna they said that the policy is if you have eaten some you have to pay half for everything.I offered to pay for lasagne and drinks .We ended up paying £22 pound for a drink each and a third of a lasagne .Staff were trying their best but something not working .Not a good experience at all.Very poor food.

I had an email through for a free main meal if there was another main meal bought (this got me in ;) ). We booked in and we’re running a bit late but the staff didn’t mind at all. They were super friendly and helped clarify exactly what was included with the deal. Me and my friend shared the two mains and were given two little side plates. We stayed for quite a while and as the evening got on it started getting quite busy but the environment was super relaxed. The lasagne was lovely and the calzone was cooked all the way through which was a nice change (I’m quite fussy with pizza and a lot of places with calzone… the base is never quite cooked through and it can be sloppy and horrible) - not Bella Italia though! Spot on!

No good if your a ceoliac bit of a shock when they only brought out half a garlic bread yet charged full price for it. Disgusting

The food was beautiful I loved the buffalo wings and my husband had the rips for his main which were delicious. And the service was great very attentive waiter would defiantly recommend a visit.

Best place for gluten free food! Great choice for coeliacs with a huge gluten free menu of pasta, pizza, salads and desserts! Staff very knowledgable and everything is marked gluten free and served separately. Highly recommended!

Visited here with my girlfriend on 17/07/2022. As we're away for the night in leeds. We ordered 2 pizzas, and they had too much cheese on them which tasted horrible and tasted weird/crispy. Won't be coming back here again because its made our stomachs constipated.
