Bella Italia in Thanet

Lovely food . Very polite and friendly Waiter (can’t remember his name). Clean and good atmosphere. We have been a few times and will definitely be returning.

Dropped in for lunch today. Nice seating arrangement. Looks very clean. Friendly prompt service & very good menu. The food exceeded our expectations. Huge portions but well presented & very tasty. Definitely would recommend a visit.

My daughter had booked this restaurant for Mother’s Day for me and my granddaughter before treating me to the facilities at Bannatyne including a booked in massage later in the day. On arrival we were surprised to have to queue out in the rain, with several people in front of us waiting to be seated, all apparently had also pre booked. After a 15 minute wait we were shown to a table, an apology for people not vacating tables quickly enough and told we had a 2 hour slot ( no problem). We sat and waited and waited, at least another 15minutes before a young waiter approached us and told us there would be a fairly long wait for food but took our drinks order. We then sat totally ignored for three quarters of an hour still waiting for our drinks, until my daughter got up and managed to grab the young waiter who was rushed off his feet to tell him we had now been sat an hour with a drink, never mind food, eventually drinks and much later food arrived. My daughter’s and granddaughter’s pizzas were fine, my calzone was very doughy and just lukewarm, but we were all so hungry by this time I certainly wasn’t going to complain and send it back. This very unenjoyable experience for Mother’s Day meant that we were on very limited time to enjoy the Bannatyne facilities before a massage treat that was also pre- booked. Shame on you Bella Italia for spoiling what should have been a lovely Mother’s Day Treat.

Visited on a Friday night at approx 6.30 pm place was very quiet. Service was ok and food ok, typical of a large chain - nothing special not a good choice of no alcohol beers

We had a nice relaxing evening here. The food was OK, good value and the staff very friendly. It was very quiet for a Saturday evening but after a couple of rather hectic meals at a nearby restaurant on previous evenings it was a relief to be in somewhere more relaxed with food delivered quickly and nice and hot. The manager was lovely and welcoming and fairly new. Hope he makes a go of the place.

Food was excellent, compliments to the chef. Welcomed on a couple of occasions by Beata, she is a wonderfull waitress, who made us very welcome friendly , attentive, and always with a happy smile. Unfortunately, for customers and the restraunt this was Beata's final service for Bella Italia. There was a bad atmosphere whilst we were there between managers and Beata, who was very busy with service, but they chose to up set her. ( which there was no need for ) Which is a shame after working there for 2 years with outstanding comments from other customers in the past. Wish Beata success with her future , a big Big loss for Bella Italia

We walked in, a waitress seated a couple in front. Looked at us then walked to the back of restaurant, came back with boxes for someone, looked at us again, then walked away, so we waited, and waited. She didn't come back to seat us. Finally my husband went to another waitress and asked if we just walked to our own table, she said, over an hour wait for cooking time and you have to be seated. I can't explain how rude I found these waitresses. Surely it would have been good manners to come and tell us.

We went there as we had been there before and was ok ish and thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt, but this time the waitress was rude and very blunt . We had the set menu for two courses the starter was mushrooms in a sauce with bread . It was nice but the last time I went it was twice the size and we had two slices of bread , but this time the bread was 1 slice and about 2 mm thick ! As for my pizza it was very bland and tasteless. And my wife is disabled and the toilet was covered in poo , we said to the waitress about this and her response was " well it was clean this morning ". So we won't be going there again .

The setting was lovely, the food was amazing. However i felt sorry for our waitress. She was rushed off her feet and looked stressed whilst other staff just stood there talking. I was so angry for her. Our waitress who I think is called Ava or something ( blonde ) thank you for being amazing, kind and helpful even though you were extra busy and everything being on top of you. xx

Family friendly lunch. Good service & good food. Waitresses fun and great with the kids. We've booked for my daughters 16th as we enjoyed it.

we booked for a group of us and they were so accomodating, kept our kids smiling and full and served us with quick service

Absolutely terrible food with extra fatty pancetta, dry mozzarella, flavourless tomatoes, watery pasta dishes, minuscule slice of ciabatta, dirty sticky tables, rip off pump fizzy drinks and no coffee…..

Really not great nothing too rave about the mozzarella dough balls was bread and cheese Bolognaise was very very watery chicken Milanese was heavily breaded in places making it hard to eat and I had to remove the breadcrumbs garlic butter was the saving of this dish ice cream 3 scoops inn1 bowl made it hard to eat tbh better on a plate so u can enjoy each flavour. Told as we went in 1/2 hour wait on food In basically an empty restaurant!

Diabolical, cold, congealed craggy no sauce, tried to complain to uber eats with pictures, no reply, rang the restaurant told to go on line. Surpise no option to complain, very disappointed I don't normally moan but felt the need to

Amazing service from happy staff and very delicious food that they helped us pick out while we were struggling to find something, our server with the red hair was ever so patient and told us about what dishes sell more and what she liked so we were very happy when our food came and it lived up to her recommendations.

Food was lovely and came out in good time. The desert came put stone cold rather than hot, but this was really quickly resolved. The staff are nice, but the main negative is that the place was dead and has been both of the previous...

Excellent service from start to finish, plenty to choose from, it took a while to get the food but it was worth waiting, it was absolutely delicious, best pizza in Thanet I've had, my partner enjoyed his burger and dessert at the end was lovely....

Large table of 7 x1 seafood allergy very attentive staff. Excellent food cocktails and mocktails. Manager and waitress made our dinning a total pleasure. Will definitely be going back

Excellent service from greeting to paying the bill, accommodating our needs and food requests plus great service from Beata.

Went for an early dinner on a Monday evening. Place was very quiet. Despite this we waited 15 minutes after being seated for someone to take out drinks order. I had chicken pasta, was very nice. Mac and cheese was also nice. Garlic cheese flatbread...

Amazing food! My waitress Beata was lovely, very helpful and attentive. She helped me with recommendations, and checked back on me multiple times also. Everything was fresh and bursting with flavour. The place was spotless. I can't understand why there weren't more customers...it's the perfect...

Our favourite place to eat, with a great atmosphere and delicious food. The service is always polite and friendly. A special thank you Aga for always making sure our visits are the best ie always making sure we get “our table” :)

The decor is shabby and the food is awful. The waitress was lovely but it couldn't compensate for the burnt pizza and reheated pasta. The only course that wasn't ruined was the ice lolly on the kids menu.

I cannot thank Rebecca and the staff at Bella Italia enough for making my child’s 21st birthday incredibly special. We were an eclectic and slightly fussy group, and took over a large portion of the restaurant with balloons etc but it was all managed perfectly....

Went to Bella Italia for a change from Ask Italia for lunch, so glad we did we thought the food was better as was the atmosphere and staff especially Beata, will definitely be returning .
