Bele Bakery and cafe in High Peak

Friendly staff, delicious coffee and cakes. I took 4 cakes/brownies away on their 4 for £10 offer after having a coffee and cake sitting on the sofa looking onto the street.

Wouldn’t give this place the time of day again! Dry cake poor service and the place smells greasy and dirty! You can get better food elsewhere in the village

Cakes are dry, service is shocking, food badly done. The cook looks unprofessional and service is slow! No prices on any of the boards massive delay for rubbish food and drinks offered free cake for the trouble which was dry and not flavourful ! Won’t be wasting my money going in there eve again!

Overpriced and chaotic. Despite asking for small sizes, the kids hot chocolate drinks were huge - really unsuitable for the very small children with us who they were clearly for, they barely managed a 1/4 before they were overfaced. GF cake was stale and portions of cakes were uncomfortably large. There were no prices on the boards and portion sizes and prices were unclear at point of ordering otherwise we would have ordered less to share out (or gone elsewhere!) The seats and tables are all crammed into one corner and the chair cushions are not clean. Not a great experience for a young family.

Visited there new location in Romiley. Its in a great location. Just haven't set themselves up in the best way possible. They've clearly taken over what was previously a cafe before. But unfortunately it just didn't feel clean. The floors could definitely use with a deep clean. Under staffed which meant a long wait on drinks and food. Food wasn't consistent. And frankly a little put off when I saw what the cook/chef was wearing. I wish this place the best of luck. Sadly I won't be returning.

Shame such a nice little cafe but so unprofessionaly ran. The closing times mean nothing . They won’t serve a drink 45 mins before closing or hot good more than an hour before. It’s like customers are an inconvenience. Hate to see them close as it’s a good cafe but a big step up is needed .

It is such a lovely cafe, comfortable relaxed and friendly. My little dog was made welcome as well. The coffee was good. I had 2 cups. Quite often cafes serve lukewarm coffee. Nice selection for vegetarians/ vegans. I had a cheese toastie, the bread was lovely and crispy but the cheese was a bit under done, and not hot enough for my personal taste. Otherwise my meal was lovely. It took a while to be served by a very nice girl, and the table was brushed with a dry tissue type thing ? But not cleaned so that wasn’t great. The staff were really nice, pleasant, upbeat, friendly but not intrusive in any way. A big family came and were standing outside with children coming in and out, constantly leaving up sitting in an icy draft but there is nothing much that the cafe could have done ? So why did I bother mentioning it ? Well that’s one of the reasons I didn’t give full marks. I didn’t see a 10% offer to write a review but I wouldn’t think they would need to do that because several customers couldn’t find a seat so they had a lot of custom. The cakes are beautiful. It’s not a very picturesque outlook but we had a lovely time. Thank you.

Couldn't fault it. Fantastic service, nothing too much trouble. Great for allergy probs. Restaurant quality but affordable food. Perfect coffee. Clean and comfy. Good facilities.

Cafe ice cold. Heating off which once we said how cold it was it started to work. Chips with chicken bacon and cheese awful. Chips were soggy. Topping was excellent. Omelette excellent. Toilets upstairs. Didn't like they offered 10% off for reviews. My reviews are independent I will not be influenced.

Fabulous cafe. Plenty of choice. Especially for vegetarians! Gorgeous selection of cakes and home made soups!! Very friendly service and great atmosphere! Definitely worth a visit!!!

Another excellent meal from the friendly staff at Bele. We all managed to finish our food which was promptly served by Ella. Had takeaway cakes as couldn't eat anything else after our big breakfasts! An extra bonus, Belle is dog friendly.

Excellent service and the staff are very attentive. And always willing to help cake was delicious we had our first date here and been back ever since clean and comfortable

Been here a couple of times for lunch now. Had the Bele Club Sandwich the first time and just tried the full English. Excellent quality food and hearty portions. Coffee also very good! Served by Maya and Pip on my 2nd visit who was great but all of staff always seem very friendly and approachable.

I ❤️ this place!! I’ve been to bele and the brownie shop multiple times now, the cakes are amazing every time and one of a kind. They also made us a custom giant cookie for my partners birthday this year. They made our wedding cake in September and it was fantastic. Everyone loved it and it looked great, as well as prompt delivery and set up.
