Beit El Zaytoun in Brent

Iftar was disgusting, the buffet was embarrassing. Went as a family of 8 and we all left hungry still. Terrible food!!!!

I had my wedding in Beit El Zaytoun and the everything was absolutely amazing! The staff were so helpful and every few minutes they would come take a picture of me and my husband, for our memories. They even provided us with a wedding planner who usually organises wedding decorations for the restaurant and it all looked soooo beautiful and was such a day to remember. All of this would not have been possible without Nadine, the manager who helped made it such a beautiful day. She was always there to see if we needed anything and made sure every detail was met. Thank you everyone! x

I have used Beit El Zaytoun to cater group lunches at work on several occasions, most recently on Monday 16th October, for a group of 21 people. They are always very helpful in providing advice concerning what to order, and in updating quotes when (as always happens) the numbers change. Delivery is promptly to time. We provide our own utensils (plates, cutlery etc) but this isn't an issue – I presume they won't provide these but I haven't asked. The most important thing is the food itself, which is well presented and always delicious; everyone in the group loves it! Considering the outstanding quality of the food, it's very good value too.

We went for brunch. The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it. The outdoor terrace was lovely to sit on. We'll definitely be coming back.

Bad service and extremely rude staff, never again, the staff wanted to check how much I will be spending to decide on what kind of table to put me on!!

Beware! Rude staff and zero customer service. Despite empty tables and only needing a table for 2 they asked us to wait outside the door and then never returned. When we asked the manager to seat us after a long wait he refused and said there was a "reservation" -( a lie ) only for us to see the other customers freely moving tables and empty tables yet again. If you're not a 5 foot 4 female with blonde hair and blue eyes it's probably best to avoid.

We arrived on a cold Wednesday afternoon for a bite of lunch. The decor inside the restaurant is nice. Menu varied and we were spoilt for choice. We chose as starters Halloumi and Batata Harra (potatoes - totally delicious). We added a salad (Fattoush) which was equally delicious. Main course I chose Mixed Grill and my wife chose Kafta Meshwe. Excellent choices these did not let us down. Service is superb we did not have to wait long for food. Bathroom facilities very good and clean. Manager very friendly we were given some complimentary chocolates at the end. A memorable place to eat. A note that parking is restricted (weekdays parking) there is a car park directly at the back of the restaurant you will have to install the Ring Go app to pay but you do get an hour free.

We arrived and they denied the reservation that had been made on line and for which I had received email confirmation. I had to show the email for them to offer a table. Then we were ignored for full 20 minutes even though the restaurant was not too busy to serve us at 7 pm. Food was reasonable. But it has to be said that service was atrocious. One got the feeling that you would get attention if you spoke Arabic or were an Arab. Most of the clientele were Middle Eastern in appearance. There was this stocky gentleman strutting about the restaurant, with no apparent function. He was wearing a beige overcoat indoors. Look carefully and you notice the handcuffs showing on the left side of his belt and on the right side, there was something else, a truncheon or other weapon perhaps. Better be on your best behaviour! There was also clearly an overt attempt to con! The Arabic-only-speaking waiter brought food that was definitely not ordered by us. And as the waiter knew only Arabic he seemed to say it was our order. And of course when the bill arrived we were charged for stuff that we had not ordered. Took the matter to the manager whose response was “ It must have been a mistake , but you ate it”. More likely to have been a deliberate “mistake” because otherwise someone else did not get the dish they had ordered. This was a case of twilight robbery. Of course we coughed up not wanting to create a scene, and besides, having had sight of ominous handcuffs…! The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when we asked if they would order us a taxi. That was refused point blank. No reason, no apology. Not going the extra mile. Customer service non-existent. Best stay clear if you’re not of Arab extraction.

Excellent food, all plates are delicious even beans for breakfast are so tasty. The ambiance is lovely and cheerful You may stay for long time not just dining as there’s shisha too. The staff is friendly and there’s possible parking around

You can’t beat the location of this clean and attractive restaurant by the Grand Union Canal with its views and light and airy indoor space. The food is delicious and the fresh juices are refreshing and, well, very fresh. Even the milkshakes are very good and the desserts are light, exotic and a perfect ending to the meal. Be aware, however, that a large part of the restaurant has many hookah smokers during the dinner hours so it is smoky in this section. So ask for the non smoking area. Apparently, the indoor portion that allows all this smoking has large sections of windows that open so it is considered patio space. This fact is not obvious so make a point of asking!

We had our dinner and ordered kaftte and Kabab It comes with roasted potatoes which was terrible probably cooked few days or at least one day before It was not eatable The kebabs was not value for money I don’t think will go there again

I'm going to give this place a second chance. I went tonight. I think there were some basics lacking (lacked seasoning on shawarma and houmous , no salad with shawarma and chips, over drenched salad with dressing, and no spoon with my coffee to add the sugar and pre packaged pitta bread). The baba ganoush was absolutely amazing and I could tell this was made with love! I loved the atmosphere and location and the staff were attentive and friendly. I really wanted to love the food. I'm hoping the chef was having an "off" night as it wasn't up to the standard I would expect. I go out a lot and have eaten at other Lebanese restaurants where the food is really well seasoned and moorish. I will go again and will hope it's better next time.

This is my 4th time visiting. Disappointed in the food on this occasion. Ordered the fattoush salad and it came with no pomegranate (which is something shown on all your photos). Meat In the mixed grill was dry. Humous was not tasty at all and we ordered the one with truffle oil (most expensive) and was tasteless. The potatoes were supposed to be with chilli and I couldn’t taste anything. It’s a lovely place, cakes are amazing, for some reason the quality of food and the seasoning of food is not the same. Need to take a little more time to make sure food is up to the standard if use to be.
