Beijing Palace Chinese Restaurant in South Holland

Absolutely brillant everytime we go. Food is always cooked fresh to order. Staff are always polite and friendly. This time there was 30 of us but normally me and the Mrs go every couple of months.

The food was overcooked. Couldn't eat past the second course. Rude staff when I complained. Won't be back. This restaurant nerds an overhaul as its tired and uninspiring but not cheap.

Horrible food, poor service and generally crappy but still cost £90 for 2 - don’t go ! Horrible Rubbish Too salty Poor service

This place is the best Chinese restaurant around, family run and they actually care about you and your business. The food never disappoints and it is just perfect this place deserves a Michelin star.

Buffet restaurant so its eat all you can. Food is very good quality and was served quickly. However as is the case with many restaurants like this the drinks can be expensive. Was still a nice evening though and would go back.

Seemed friendly when walking in before I launch into this let me clarify that the waiter and waitress we had were helpful and pleasant. Upon ordering the vegetarian option I ordered didn’t arrive the manager was sent out and seemed very confrontational I did tell her it’s fine I will order from the next course. One member of the party asked a question about one of the meals and the boss was extremely rude and confrontational she has zero customer service skills I was also told my child (her meal was paid for ) wasn’t allowed to taste my food which is ridiculous considering we paid for a full meal for her she just wanted to taste some of mummy’s food. The food wasn’t too bad the crispy chicken balls were not chicken it was this strange spongy substance which tasted nothing like chicken I’m unsure what this sponge substance was. All in all not worth the visit extremely over priced and the standard wasn’t up to scratch.

A wonderful birthday meal. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive; the food delicious. Will definitely be back! Thank you to all.

first visit for take out and was very impressed with the food and service of speed, makes me want to try the restaurant. highly recommend.

Never again shall i ever visit this restaurant again, after walking in we are greeted by a staff member who asked how many of us was eating, we then stated only 3 out of the 4 were eating as i spent my last bit of money in mcdonald’s beforehand. towards the end of there meal after i received dirty water they left a couple chicken balls so i being the hungry person i am ate them. But as we go to pay we realise they have asked for 4 people eating so we tried to tell them how i didn’t eat and how i ate there left overs but the rude staff members shouted at us telling us if we eat we pay and i tried to tell her calmly about how i only ate leftovers as i didn’t wanna waste any food nor did i want to pay for all i could eat as i had no money to my name at the time but instead of calmly resolving it they proceed to block the exit and there manager game out and both of them shouted at us all threatening us with the police saying they would get them involved so my friend ended up having to pay £10.45 for 4 chicken balls. I have Never! received such uncouth customer service and would never expect anyone to receive the treatment we got!. i highly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I will never be returning to this absolute disgrace of a restaurant! The service was beyond appalling and we did not feel invited. During someone’s happy birthday celebrations, the staff and chef decided to shout at us for “not paying” for a meal that one of the four of us didn’t eat. Three of us ate and one accompanied as we hadn’t seen him in years and as we decided to pay and leave, we were confronted by a crew of rude staff members, who blocked our exit and refused to let us leave without paying for the forth member, who did not eat. I recommend never setting foot in this place. Even the water we received was given to us in dirty glasses!!

This is a fabulous restaurant. The menu is amazing and varied. We went twice in one week as we enjoyed it so much. The staff were amazing, they were very busy but they were so friendly and patient as it took a long time to choose our meal. We have recommended it to our friends. A shame we don't live nearer, I'm sure we would be visiting this restaurant every week. Thanks go to the chef and all the staff for making our holiday meals so delightful.

The food was excellent, some of the portions were small but you can order more and we certainly were full by the end. The staff were very good and attentive but did appear to be a bit keen on selling drinks. There were four adults and three children in our party and we each had a drink. The bill was £175.

Wandered in on a Sunday evening, just missed the buffet, but ordered from the main menu. In many years of eating in Chinese Restaurants I'd not met 'Crispy beef in honey and pepper' before, but I certainly will again if it appears on a menu: delicious, as were the other dishes (spacial fried rice, sweet and sour pork) that we ordered. It made for an excellent meal, courteously and cheerfully served.

Staying at Delph Bank Touring Park and walked to the Beijing Palace for a meal . We had the buffet £19.95 4 course meal eat as much as you like at each course. The wafer king prawns are great with a sweet and sour dip . The duck pancakes are excellent. Service brilliant and Emily outstanding waitress . The main course was sublime I had chow mein with King prawns and broccoli. I don’t understand why anyone would complain about this restaurant I would not hesitate to go back or recommend fabulous

I went for an impromptu visit with a friend on a Sunday lunch time. We phoned ahead and was told we had the choice of a limited menu or buffet. Fine for us as buffet was what we fancied. Got there to be advised only the menu was available. It was limited but did have what we liked so we placed an order. Service was quick enough and staff pleasant but honestly the food was poor. It was small portion and poor quality although was hot. I did say to the member of staff that it was ok at best and was informed it would be passed on although no one come to see us. It was dead in there and cold. Would not return.

We have had take aways before but had a meal for our anniversary here. The service was great and the staff very polite. The food was good and tastey and the staff did not try to rush you through the courses. We all enjoyed the meal.

Not what it used to be. The food is still very good, but the portions are shrinking and the prices rising. Very much in need of a refit, the place looks and feels tired. Unchanged in 16 years and it shows.

We have had takeaway before and had it again Friday night having traveled up from Berkshire. As always the food is great and the ribs are amazing.

I love Chinese. I had amazing meals in various places. Not here.chinese mushroom and tofu soup ... 1/5. No taste apart from thick broth. Tempura vegetables - no taste at all. Piquancy fish... garlic sauce mixed with sweet and sour .. well no! Chinese tea ... from a tea bag. ... almost £18 per person ... as a buffet but you have to order and weight. No. Hell, no

We called in for the evening buffet, having already had the lunchtime menu which we found to be excellent. £20.95 per person for 4 different courses. We had two each of the starters which were very good. The duck with pancakes were also good, although not enough duck meat for more than 2 pancakes each. From here in, the portions got smaller, and the service slower. I had large diet coke my wife had tap water with ice. When reordering, my wife was told to help herself to tap water, no ice available. The chicken with salt & pepper was just 4 small nuggets of chicken. The beef in the beef with tomato was rather chewy so I left it. The rest was ok. Just waiting for our ice cream, I have put my glasses on, just in case. A bit disappointing as started at 5 stars but dropped as time progressed. Ah just turned up with ice cream, clearly the kids portion.

Went for a family birthday meal, great service and nice food and the owner spent time entertaining our toddler which was a nice touch

A quick last minute decision to eat out.

After reading the reviews and driving past this place on the way to kings Lynn we thought we’d give it a go, what a mistake that was. Very low quality food the chicken was like mush and everything was covered in salt. The coke was cheap rola cola I could go on. The only good thing is the big wide gate on the way out.

Good food. All you can eat from 17.95 great friendly staff. Would go again. Lots of parking situated on the main road plenty of seating

A buffet style meal without having to move. East as much as you can from for courses. Can’t get any better. Especially the ribs, most tender.

We had a take out from here, which we have done in the past and the size of the ribs are just amazing. We had the starters selection and also then four separate main dishes which included beef and mushroom and also king prawns and mushrooms. The portions are amazing and we always have some left over. Can't wait to visit the family again to have another great takeaway.

We went along for the first time, having passed this restaurant for many years. We were a bit worried by the varied reviews, but we shouldn't have been. We had an incredible meal, tried some new dishes, everything was hot and plentiful. It was a special menu with four courses for £22.95 - finished off with a box of Celebrations as a New Year Gift. (plus a calendar!) The only thing that would have made it even better, was to continue to midnight for a toast and a bit of back ground music, but we enjoyed our evening very much and will return.

Have passed this several times to and from jobs had my Mrs with me so decide to give it a try. No wonder the car park is always empty.

Hands down the best Chinese Buffet I've ever been too.

Acabo de regresar a casa de fin de semana, así que decidimos tener una familia de Palacio para llevar Beijing. Tenía un menú para 4 en £48. Este fue excepcional. Las costillas han de ser mejor que ningún otro. Eran una comida en sí mismos, absolutamente lleno de carne tierna. El resto de la comida para llevar era igual de bueno. Se puede decir que sólo la mejor calidad de carne en sus platos. Este es, sin duda, la mejor comida para llevar en la zona.

Visitamos el Palacio de Pekín para una celebración 60 º cumpleaños y esta fue nuestra primera visita aquí. Éramos un grupo de 7 y nos sentamos en una mesa redonda que estaba un poco demasiado grande para nosotros, pero mejor que se estrecha. El restaurante es un poco cansado y le vendría bien una renovación. Habiendo dicho que la estrellas son el personal, el servicio y la comida, sin duda, que era excelente y sin límite. El menú de precio fijo era muy razonable y la comida es ilimitado. Tuvimos una comida estupenda y todo estaba delicioso.

Normalmente excelente pero esta noche (jueves) era muy pobre.

Llamado en conseguir el viernes por la noche 7:30. Qué encontrar. Gran servicio. excelente comida. El buffet tiene una gran selección y el personal muy atento. Gran lugar recomiendo una visita.

La comida era excelente y el personal espera pedir única preciosa honestamente puedo decir que no tengo una sola queja mejor comida china en lincolnshire vale la pena los 30 minutos en coche de no comer en ningún otro sitio ahora

Visitado por una comida con un grupo de amigos durante el Año Nuevo Chino. La comida era excelente, ofrecen un buffet, y la selección y calidad de la comida es estupenda. Estaba muy lleno, pero el personal era normal, con muchos apareciendo para pasear sin...

A hearty and friendly welcome upon our arrival at the restaurant. Seating for two couples. We ordered the standard buffet which consisted of 4 courses each , a selection of different dishes was served for each course. The quality and presentation was first class. The staff were attentive and very professional . We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic Food,never had chinese buffet like it.Good selection, plenty to choice from.Fleshly cooked every course.Dont drive by you'll regret it. One of them places that once you've been you can't wait to go again and again and again amazing food. Staff polite and friendly. Simply the best for everything ! Very very highly recommended. Don't drive by without checking this restaurant out or you miss a treat it's Superb .

Love to come here food is fresh lots to choose eat as much as you like great friendly place NO PROBLAM with anything we travel from Huddersfield to Spalding every 6 weeks and always eat here if we can get a table try it it fabulous

What a great restaurant. Eat as much as you want and the food just keeps on coming. The quality of the food was excellent and so was the quality of the service.I would recommend this place to anyone. Nothing was too much for them and they were continuously asking us if we wanted more food. I felt over full when I left as I had eaten too much food. It was not my fault as the food was just too good.

Not what it used to be but still good food, had lunch here last week, the portion sizes were smallish at best but none the less very tasty. Ive been told the banquet nights are not as good as they used to be but standards are still good, if your heading over to long sutton its worth a visit

we did not think the food would be that nice but it was very good for a all you can eat,very happy with the menu all the food was very hot and did not take long to come to your table, dose not look that nice from the outside when driving passed but you have to go inside and have go some times, we stop at the travel-lodge up the road and any beats McDonald's food, we will be going back very soon again

We have driven past this place many times as it's only a few miles from home and never been tempted to call in however we were looking for something different to do on a Sunday evening and a friend had visited a few weeks before and commented it was rather good.The restaurant is located almost in the middle of nowhere. You really can't miss it located at the side of the A17 and it has a very large car park.We arrived just before 7pm as they were clearing away the self serve buffet from the earlier sitting. I must admit, it did look nice.We went for the £15.99 "order what you want from the menu" deal and had various starters and mains. I made the mistake of having the ribs for starters and whilst they were very good, the amount of meat on them was huge. As a result, I was starting to feel full pretty quickly :)Once we moved onto the mains, the portion sizes got a bit more sensible but ultimately, we ended up very very fullAll the dishes were good. Some were great. None were poor.Service throughout the evening was good with the staff constantly checking if we needed to order more dishes or drinks and (unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants) the staff were all friendly and happy. Indeed the manager (I think) was borderline insane and had some of the kids at other tables in stitches. Even on a Sunday evening, the place was pretty busy and there were quite a few large groups in.So good food for sensible money with good service by friendly staff and all less than 20 minutes from home.I think we will be back sooner rather than later.

My first visit to Beijing Palace and I was amazed how friendly and tentative the staff were, we went on a Saturday night and the place was full we hadn't booked but they managed to find us a table for 2. The menu was amazing with lots of choices for a complete 3 course all you can eat buffet, the food is piping hot and all cooked fresh and there was no real waiting time between each dish unless you ask for time for your food to go down. We will defiantly be going again but I would advice you pre book at table

Have visited here now on countless occasions now, with friends, family and partners over the years. Always consistent good quality grub. Cannot knock the price both take out and eat in are equally as good... Will return as always.

We have had many meals here and had a take away last night. We had one of the set meals and when we got the food home we thought we got the wrong order. In actual fact they had given us loads of extra nibbles, seaweed, won tons, prawn toast on top of the meal we actually ordered!! It was lovely!! Thank you very much!!

We visited Bejing Palace as our favourite chinese restaurant was closed as we needed an alternative place to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were not disappointed. The food was lovely, the service was great, very friendly. The manager kept knocking my daughters straw hat off, to make her laugh. The ribs were so meaty and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely go again.

Both restaurant and takeaway are good value for money, with a large selection of food. Great friendly staff always welcomed with a smile. You need to book and would recommend phoning in order before you leave home always business and good atmosphere

Visited here on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food. It is always cooked fresh , and always lovely, one of the best Chinese restaurants I have visited. Staff are all very friendly, butOn this visit, lunch time , felt we were pestered, asking once if everything was ok is fine, but on this occasion we feel four times is a bit excessive. Other than that fantastic as usual.

The Beijing Palace is on the A17 near the Gedney roundabout. There is a lot of off road parking. The restaurant offers sit-down meals and a take-away service.The food is divine, the staff are friendly and attentive and the venue is well decorated.The experience is always a pleasurable one.

My first visit to the Beijing Palace was brilliant! I loved it! Friendly staff and manager. The manager is happy and funny and makes you feel very welcome by talking to each table and keeping everybody happy. If you ask him a question, he would say 'NO' then 'PROBLEM'. He makes me laugh everytime. Food was delicious. My favourite was the ribs, full of flavour and meaty. I would definately be coming back very soon.
