I recently visited and had a disappointing experience with the manager on duty. His attitude was extremely unprofessional; he spoke to his staff in a rude and dismissive manner, which was uncomfortable to witness. To make matters worse, while a young lady was clearly busy rushing around and attending to customers, the manager was sitting down, seemingly watching videos on YouTube. This kind of behavior is not what I would expect from someone in a management position, and it certainly did not create a positive environment for the staff or customers.

I am a regular visitor here and I've never been let down. The food is always good and the service is excellent. A particular mention to Costel who always goes above and beyond to make this an enjoyable experience.

A special shout-out to Ellie, who was incredibly kind and professional throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Our favourite restaurant. We are a group of elderly ladies, meeting once a month. Beefeaters staff are the best. They make us feel very welcome and remember the little things, like we like extra sauce on out prawn cocktails. Tom was our waiter on this occasion and nothing was too much trouble. When we started going out for meals the idea was that we would go to different restaurants, but we tend to stick to Beefeater. Thank you

In a time not that long ago, and Before nearly all the local nearby hotels were filled with asylum seekers, this used to be a good value great hotel. But Seizing the opportunity to overcharge everyone else that actually has to pay for a room, the prices have risen around 300 % from what I used to pay . Used to easily get a room for about £45 , last Premier Inn room £135. A Night!!!! But now no choice elsewhere. Last room we booked was dirty, sheets were mouldy, room pictures missing, bathroom grout mouldy, outside the room were several ‘exhausts’ belching noise and smells- presumably from the kitchens? Didn’t sleep well because of it. Good night guarantee not honoured by reception, and head office not interested either . AVOID . If ever the towns other hotels become available again then book them instead…

Just the job for a one night stay after a concert at The Piece Hall. It's right on a noisy roundabout but sleep not disturbed with triple glazing shut tight. No on-site parking but there is an APCOA car park right next door. Word of warning regarding the car park ... Its £12 per 24 hours if you just rock up but £14:10 if you pre-book and pay via the APCOA website. I don't usually read the Ts & Cs but this time I did and it said that the booking did not guarantee a space!!! Did not proceed with the booking and found plenty of spaces when arriving. Only real downside with the Premier Inn was the attached Beefeater restaurant. They proudly displayed a sign saying "Open Until The Cows Come Home" but were sadly closed for a post gig nightcap at 10:30

We'd booked the food and drink package with the hotel next door. So we'd booked in for our evening meal. As soon as we were walking through the door of the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly young man who lead us to our table. We thought this bode well for the service that we could expect. Wrong. There were only two servers on during our visit, yet there was only one on the 'shop floor' at any one time. They were working their socks off yet food was left sitting under the heated lamps for some time before they got chance to take it to guests. At one point the kitchen staff were taking out food to save it shrivelling up under the lamps. What annoyed us (and a couple of other diners on nearby tables) was that there was a third staff member just gliding around the restaurant. She wasn't in the same uniform as the other two and was wearing what I would say was smart, professional clothing (giving the air of being a manager/supervisor). This person just wandered around, periodically cleaning tables and laying cutlery. Given how busy it was and that potential customers were waiting, I would have expected them to given their colleagues support. Instead, she was wandering past waiting customers and queues of people waiting for tables. I thought her attitude was unprofessional and she gave off an air of thinking that grass roots level hospitality was beneath her. If she is a manager, she should be leading by example. The breakfast service the next morning by contrast was a lot smoother. A real team working hard to get customers seated and served. The food on the buffet ran out and wasn't replenished quickly enough to keep up with demand. The staff we encountered were friendly enough and this is why I am given this grade. However, there is only one chance to make a good impression and our visit was enough to make sure we never revisit this particular restaurant.

Came for breakfast last Friday and the quality of the warm food and the buffet was brilliant. The restaurant was busy and staff managed to keep on top of it very well. My server was Ebony. She took my order and ensured my visit was enjoyable by greeting me with a warm welcome. The food was delicious, I will be visiting again!

Me and my family came in for a bite to eat before going to the cinemas on Friday last week. Ebony was working the shift and was our server. We were sat very quickly and the speed of our order being taken was unmatched. The quality of the food was very good. I shall definitely be returning :)

On arrival at 14.00 was told access to rooms was not until 3pm unless you was prepared to pay £10.00 for the privilege of going into your room an hout earlier. which I was totally disgusted with. Ended up after a queue of people at 3pm all being booked in at the same time and didn't ger to the room till 15.30 at £74.00 per room and no breakfast, I think its aportable that they requested a further £10.00 for an early entrance to your basic room, not a lot to write home about, insufficient coffee. Milk and sugar !!! Staff abrupt and not very helpful at all. Nevertheless, obviously not be stopping at this premier inn again. throughly disappointed.

We booked a room for a concert in Halifax as we were travelling from Blackpool the staff were very polite .we arrived about 16:00 the check in was very smooth . the young lady (sane) I think that was her name was very helpful and chatty . she give us lots of useful information and made are check in smooth what a fantastic member of staff .we got up for breakfast in the morning and (sane) was waiting on as they was short on staff and again could not ask for anything more she went above and beyond .we will be definitely be booking again you need to give is girl a promotion . Great location with many restaurants nearby and cinema. Parking is in the adjacent building right across from the reception. Local wetherspoons. Nice rooms as expected with the price

I stay regularly at the adjoining hotel so often eat in the restaurant or stop by for drinks before going back to my room. The staff are always so lovely and welcoming, and can’t do enough for you. Costel on the bar is a particular star, he is so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Whenever I have eaten in the restaurant, food has always been great and there’s a good selection on the menu. Their weekday 2 or 3 course deal is great value. Always look forward to coming back!

We came for an early tea and chose from the Lunch menu and children’s menus. My partner & I had the curry, with poppadom & mango chutney. My goodness, the mango chutney was hot! It was truly awful, even my partner who can tolerate hot food couldn’t eat it. The children had popcorn chicken and the portions were generous. Service was great. A lovely gentleman welcomed us, and him along with a nice lady were our servers. They checked we were happy with everything, apologised for any waiting and were doing a great job between them. We had an enjoyable meal.

I have just come back from visiting my family in Halifax Yorkshire and stayed at the Premier Inn in Halifax It was so spacious, as I am a wheelchair user. My room was very accessible. I had wet room, very easy to use , beds very soft and comfortable and very quite had a good night's sleep. The staff were very helpful and supportive Getting in and out my room and moving around was very easy with no problems The Premier in is a great place to stay when visiting Halifax I recommended it 100% Thank you see you again Janet Green from London

We decided to eat in the hotel ,what a disgusting place, i chewed on a dirty hair. How they didn’t see that in the food was unbelievable. Then breakfast what a depressing state mass processed junk with an off yogurt to finish . Never again will I eat or stay here.

Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was excellent and good value. They were unobtrusive and made us feel welcome.

Our first room we were allocated smelled badly of stale cigarette smoke,not a great first impression. We went down to the reception and asked for another room. This one was much better. The window was open ,which we gave the impression that the same problem as our last room.

Called in for the Unlimited Breakfast. Samantha greeted me at the door immediately and showed me to a table explaining the way things worked (checked for allergies ). Took my hot food order after allowing time for me to get cereal coffee and juice. The food was hot and very tasty. Thank you, Samantha, for the great service

Can't rate this beefeater enough! We recently met friends in a beefeater in Manchester and the staff were shocking I think they were recruited from a Karen restaurant. The staff here were wonderful even the food tasted better and was definitely presented well.

I met up with my sister and her friend for brunch. The restaurant was lovely friendly and unique by having the chef cooking in the centre of the room. We was looked after ever so well.

Brilliant place Staff so polite. We wanted to go for a coffee and a light lunch and normally we wouldn't have thought about Beefeater restaurant but had a lovely time.

My husband and I had a lovely meal today 5th November. We shared Halloumi fries. My husband had a Mixed Grill and I had a Fillet steak with garlic prawns as an extra, I was disappointed I only got 2 prawns which cost £4.95!! I thought I should have had at least 4 prawns. It's a bit extortionate. Steak was cooked well. I think they need to get the place heated up before they open for lunch as the place was chilly and the food was dropping cold. Apart from that we do enjoy eating here. I finished off with a Black forest hot chocolate.

We are familiar with Beefeater restaurants but hadn't been to Halifax before. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and service we received. I would recommend the stack burger and the banoffe sundae. We enjoyed our evening and will return. Thankyou

Horrendous, terrible customer service!! Rude staff!! Booked and turned up and argued that we hadn’t booked then to be told they have run out of food!!

Shocking, booked a week in advance to turn up and be rudely dealt with by a women who clearly has zero people skills let along good customer service. Who advised we couldn’t have our reservation as they had ran out of food.!!

There's were 13 of us for a birthday lunch. We were greeted by a friendly team and promptly seated all together . Very helpful with dietary needs and very good timing of all meals being brought to table. We were able to relax and take our time too . A huge variety of dishes, some from the Sunday menu and others not. All meals and desserts were lovely with everyone happy and full. I'm also looking forward to trying the midweek 2 for £12.99 meals soon.

I cannot rate this place enough. Lovely warm welcome, nice and clean environment. Staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful. Great value for money and food that is actually served warm and fresh. The location lay out is amazing and I like the fact you can see the chef and staff cooking while you are there makes an alternative and refreshing change.

Lovely meals, we were all happy. We had steak, salad and chicken, steak and prawns, gammon, all was excellent. We were particularly happy to see the sweet potato fries back. Our waitress, Laura, looked after us, ensuring our food was just how we like it, with extra sauce for our prawn cocktails. We didn't even have to ask for it, she remembers. Thank you Laura x

Absolutely dreadful! The place was filthy - dirty chairs, dire (i have photos). Service left a lot to be desired, 1 waiter when we arrived & we waited 15 minutes before our drinks order despite the place being really quiet! Another wait for food order to be taken & when it came 1 plate missed completely, when reminded the waiter brought out the missing item which had quire clearly been warned up in a microwave! Staff wriggled out of the discount code I had from the Internet saying that it couldn't be used when we had taken another offer from the menu - nonsense, 2 meals were made up from options on the menu! Raised a complaint later the same day, still no resolution! Seriously folks, avoid it like the plague. I feel for the customers sleeping at the Premier Inn who have breakfast there!

We were staying at the Premier Inn and decided to have dinner there, as it was right on our doorstep and the menu looked good. We were greeted by our server Matt, who showed us to our table. He ran through the menu and and explained the special deals that were on offer. He left us to have a look and promptly got our drinks. When he returned, I said that I was unsure as what to have as there was such a good selection on the menu. I stated that I fancied a steak and he stated that he had some T-bone steaks in. tHe confirmed with the kitchen that the T-bones were available. We all decided to order the T-bones steaks. To be hones I wasn't expecting much as I had some very expensive steaks in London. But, how wrong was I ........ All the steaks were cooked to perfection. They were just as you want a steak, juicy big and succulent. I was very pleasantly surprised at just how good the steak was. I spoke with Joe the chef and said 'that was the best t-bone I have had'. I stated that in London, you would pay treble for a steak that he had just prepared. We ate again at the branch during our stay and was greeted by Laura, She was very attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Overall I really enjoyed my experience and the staff members, Laura, Matt and Joe really know how to look after their customers. Thank-you.

You really cannot go wrong here… The breakfast is always cooked fresh to order and it’s as much as you like for £9.99. Really friendly staff too. I’ve been coming here many years now and will continue to do so. Shout out for the black pudding cooked to perfection and perfect scrambled egg. The flat white from the machine is really good too.
