Another great experience , free parking right outside and a warm and friendly welcome. We had a selection of delicious food including steak cooked exactly as we like it. Can't beat the value and quality, we will keep coming back.

Treated really rudely by the wait staff for no reason. Complaint raised 3 weeks ago and not responded too by either management or staff at Beefeater. Awful service , I have used this Beefeater for several years but never again

Received an email today that as from the 4th July. This restaurant will only be taking hotel guests bookings. My friends, family and work colleagues have been enjoying your hospitality for many, many years, due to its great location, food and friend team and really enjoyed our meal last week celebrating a birthday. It's a shame Beefeater does not value the loyalty of its local customer base. I wish all the great staff all the very best and hope your employer treats you better then its loyal customers base.

Walked in at 17:40 to just eat something quick, whole restaurant empty but refuse to serve us food because we did not booked or we had reservation from the hotel. On top of that, the staff was rude handling our request, and walked away without letting us explore any further option. I have been in this place for 6 years as l live close by and this is the worst experience l have had.

Just great! Lovely food, brilliant customer service, went above and beyond to help. We were leaving extremely early in the morning and they were kind enough to make us a spectacular takeaway breakfast, we had a real feast! Thank you ever so much for all your help!

We went here for dinner as were staying nearby. My steak was average. My husband had the prawn and vegetable kebab which came on flatbread and with chips. He was enjoying it until he realised that he was eating paper. When we called the waitress over she said that was how it normally came. Which we found very odd. We mentioned it again when we paid, and said it would have been good to have been told that there was paper under the food. To be honest they didn't seem too bothered.

Went for a Sunday roast. Got seated promptly and took our order. Drinks arrived quickly after ordering. Food arrived and it was delicious! Couldn't fault anything. Good value for money. Clean environment, staff friendly. Overall brilliant visit.

The manager greeted us and as we walked back to the reception , as we were 20 mins early, if her head could of rotated 3 times it would of, she was so infuriated that she told us to sit in the bar until out time. They were not busy, we did nearly left. So glad we stayed we had the loveliest lad serve us and a lovely hot Sunday lunch. One drink, Sunday lunch to share, and 1 pudding which we shared. 44.00 If only beefeater dropped their prices they would be busy, except if cruella was on reception! Wow

The staff where very friendly and attentive, they ensured drinks and food order was taken within a reasonable time and the food came within a good time frame. The food itself was nice and our steaks where cooked just how we asked.

Unplanned meal using 33% off via email Wednesday 27th December around tea time, bar very busy with large family party 🥳 unfortunately along with their kids they were in & out the main door for a smoke, making the restaurant quite cold on this windy night . Drinks ordered Moretti & strawberry & lime cider, smothered chicken & 74 Baconeater burger, both meals quite basic, considering the ingredients on my burger it was quite plain, total bill £31:54.

The Steak Selection was okay - the Apple pie was awful - it was like microwaved sludge! The saving grace for this restaurant is their wonderful staff - Lottie and Darryl are both excellent and offered superb customer service

Very good standard. It was the kids first experience of a beefeater and safe to say had 4 empty plates and all left feeling rather full. Being critical would have preferred to know what they didn’t have when being seated.

No table available in restaurant area as I hadn’t booked which is fair enough although wasn’t that busy. Ordered starter and main at the bar and service was ok. My starter of potato dippers was served very quick. My main which was a 74 Baconeater which is quite possible the worst burger I have ever tasted. If you like brown warm lettuce loaded with what I assume is left over bacon from breakfast at the Premier Inn please feel free to sample. The burger was not the best and I assume the time it sat under the grill is the reason it had a crispy crust with a gritty centre. The cold onion soup compote loaded on top with it did not help ! Not impressed for £23. Very poor will not be returning.

Very welcoming server, Kieran K did a great job. He's to be commended on being positive at the end of Sunday service. Cherry bakewell mock tail, lovely taste but mostly ice. Prawn and vegetable kebab: tough chewy overcooked prawns, withered oily overcooked vegetables, all tepid apart from the salad which had been on the pass and the bowl it was served in was too hot to touch! Gammon, two fried eggs, oily, floppy, overcooked. Nice chips. Salad hot.

Went here to celebrate my daughters boyfriends birthday on a Saturday evening. Got seated quite quickly, and it went downhill from there. We were quite close to walking out and going over the road to the Hungry Horse as they seemed to have forgotten about us, even though we were right under the noses of the waitresses. And it was not busy, I have been here before when it has been busy. Eventually someone came to take our order, and said that she would need to check if a prawn cocktail was still available. As she never came back, I guessed it was. Then our drinks arrived, with one extra, somehow my prawn cocktail had turned into a pornstar martini!!!! Probably nice, but I prefer prawn cocktail. The food arrived starters and main courses, no hanging around for the main course as they were ready as we put the last bit of the starters into our mouths. Overall the food was okay, but the service was horrendous. I think the manageress took over from our original waitress. And surprise, surprise, the pornstar martini was on the bill, which was removed. Not sure if it was the waitresses first night or she had had a bad day, but you nearly lost some customers because of her.

Lovely spot, friendly staff, bit lacking on the beer selection. We had the mixed grill and the lasagne which were both amazing. Joe was very polite and happy to let me switch the gammon for some extra sausage.

Lovely restaurant attached to the Premier Inn (also very nice but stayed in an upgraded room). Adele and Joe were great and looked after us really well. Very attentive staff, very clean and a lovely feel to the whole place. Would definitely recommend

I'm amazed at the reviews here as this is one of the worst restaurants I have beeb to in a long time. Shocking. Staff attitude, food was the cheapest form. I waited 30 mins when I sent back my food to be cooked properly. I felt like I was a bother to the staff. I am one of the easiest people to please and appreciate waiters and waitresses as i use to be one. The food was cold and I did notice the English where given priority over us even though we got there first. I hate bad reviews but 2 hours of disgusting wasted over priced over fried food or maybe I'm just too dark. I hate to say and always seeing the best in people but I have not felt like this in along time. Go to the "Waters Edge" around the corner. Good scenery, treated nicely and God food. Will never ever visit again. Turned me off Beefeaters to be honest.
