Beef and Birds in Tower Hamlets

Went with a few friends to Beef & Birds in Brick Lane yesterday, probably my 3rd time of visiting the restaurant! We all ordered burgers with skinny fries and Korean wings, naga wings and bbq wings. The burgers were moist and tasty, wings were fantastic, loved the food, planning another visit there soon!

Beautiful food. Dropped in due to a restaurant we are going to was shut and I am so pleased it was. The food at this place is delicious. Order was taken promptly and the food was made to order, so was piping hot when brought to the table. We waited a mere 10 minutes for the food. The chicken burger was moist, the skinny chips perfectly cooked and the dark chocolate bbq chicken wings were a surprisingly delicious extra. All guests were so pleased with their food. We will most definitely be visiting again. We ordered from the set menus and the price was very good and reflected the quality of the food.

Todo muy rico. La gente especialmente amables! Una suerte tenerlo al lado del hotel, es muy apetecible. Servicio rápida bien servida, todo muy sabroso. Volveremos!

I'm not a naga wings person until I tried beef and birds naga wings it was the bomb spice and flavour was on point absolutely loved it

Arrived at 6:30pm on a Saturday evening. A clean and welcoming restaurant. The menu was varied enough and offered meal deals. We had the KFC (Korean fried cauliflower). The food was hot and arrived promptly.

First time visit - pleasant welcome and service - not full three other tables eating. Ordered Brick Lane Hot Naga wings as starter and the Angry Bird burger with fires and drink. Came out together - there were 4/5 wings - with a nice kick. Chicken Burger was warm and well cooked - home made coleslaw as staff told me as well as the spices. All home made. Been open a year. They have got a good DJ as playing the latest tunes which went down well with me!

Visited this restaurant with some friends to break our fast today. All in all an amazing experience. The food was served perfectly on time with both the starters and mains coming at the ideal times to suit our needs. I personally got the dark chocolate wings which were very nice. For my main I got the Raging Bull burger which was absolutely amazing. Flavours were spot on and the beef was cooked to perfection. This came along with fries and a drink totalling a very reasonable £15! On top of the amazing food we were very well looked after all of whom went above and beyond when serving us. The restaurant was completely full and yet at no point did we feel as though we were not catered for. We all left feeling extremely satisfied with both the food and the service. Huge thanks to the whole team I will definitely be back soon!

I ordered ribs (expecting a rack when it actually looked like lamb shank) mac n cheese which had a powdery texture in the mouth and chicken wings which was the only thing that was nice but defo not fresh. Pretty sure we heard a microwave ping a couple of times. Presentation was terrible. The ribs (lamb shank) came on the plate with literally half the plate full of potatoes that were frozen. Well over priced. Wouldn't eat here again.

Visited this restaurant forms bite to eat. Turned out to be good value for money (£13.95 for a starter, burger, side and drink). The food was good (wings) and the burger was good. Normally the patty can be dry but on this occasion it was very edible. Restaurant was clean and service efficient.

Excellent food & service provided. If you are looking to dine with family or friends. I would highly recommend this place. 5*

I was originally enticed in by the deals they had up in the windows, but then discovered those were lunch options and not available in the evenings. Nonetheless I took a seat, got onto wifi and got an order in quickly - there was a half-chicken or quarter-chicken set meal, so I opted for that. I went for the salt n pepper potatoes rather than fries which came out dry, soft skins and a flaky inner with plenty of seasoning (they would have gone well with a curry or sauce). The "jerk" option meant the chicken had jerk seasoning but a pot of jerk dip sauce was also provided, which was unexpectedly great: strong, rich and quite spicy - had a definite kick to it, not the usual jerk taste I'm used to but lovely to dip chicken and potatoes into it. The side salad added a bit of crunch but I didn't care much for the coleslaw (purple cabbage in mayo). The meal and a beer came to just over a tenner - pretty good value, and the amount was just right for a night snack. I returned there a few nights later (they're one of the smaller places that took credit card), picking an identical meal but this time trying out the BBQ sauce instead. I'd ordered it with dirty rice, basically a fried rice with beans and they gladly swapped out the coleslaw for more salad, but the BBQ option sadly, this amounted to a sweet smoky sauce over the chicken but no side dip (once the skin was gone the rest of the chicken felt a bit dry). I'll return when I'm in the area to try out their naga wings and other items on the menu; the jerk certainly piqued my interest but that BBQ felt flat in comparison. Still, worth a try if you're in the area.

The burgers at this venue are definitely overpriced for what you get, I.e a small size beef patte which comes in something that seemed like a brioche bun. The ingredients did all taste fresh but the cost of a vintage cheese burger at £8.95 I think is too high for the amount of meat being provided. From reading other reviews this seems to be a common opinion. Other than this the venue was mainly clean.The table I had for some reason was very sticky like when you have spilt beer on a table. But everywhere else looked clean and tidy. This place seems okay for a quick bite if your hungry and passing its not somewhere I would intentionally go out for a meal. I paid £17.77 for a burger, skinny fries and one beer.

Came here for my best friends birthday and honestly the food was to die for. Lovely people, value for money. Definitely would come back. Would recommend to everyone.

Ordered the Half chicken in jerk flavour. The flavour of the chicken was nothing close to the traditional jerk flavours that I have tasked from other restaurants, and the chicken tasted as though it was expired. I also ordered the southern fried chicken bites and they came after the main meal even though they're a starter... On top of that, they were hard and dry and required an abundance of sauce to consume. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for the price they charge. There are numerous other better restaurants on the same road.

Had a mac and cheese without cheese (but with mayonnaise!?) and truffle fries without truffle. avoid.

Awwww yeah. Really tasty food and friendly staff. Especially nice for a chilled evening a bit later when it’s quiet. And get the Chocolate BBQ Sauce. Trust me!
