I believe that the venue doubles up as a lunchtime cafe (when I visited) and as a bar for the Symphony Hall evening performances. Light and airy with efficient friendly service and some local specialities such as the Birmingham bacon cakes as seen in the BBC Hairy Bikers programme. Mostly tables and chairs, with some fairly uncomfortable seating at small booths - thankfully these had ordinary chairs as well as the booth style. There are short lunchtime concerts through the summer - on my visit for 20 minutes - which appear to be very popular

Visited for a lunch before a matinee concert. Absolutely rammed, horribly noisy and majority of tables suitable for eating at already reserved. No indication in the website that would be recommended to do! Very poor location signage in the main building and re ordering system within the restaurant. Many staff seemingly standing around chatting and very few taking orders while queue built up. Food was ok at best and certainly nothing special. I’d suggest arriving earlier for any event and using one of the many restaurants at adjacent Brindleyplace instead.

Fresh, local food ?! The ‘soup’ was made with frozen mixed vegetables and tough inedible chunks of beef. ‘Butter’ with the bread was some type of low fat spread. A poor show all round.

Food decent but variable quality eg fish and chips very good but peas totally tasteless. If you come in cold weather try to sit as far away from the door as it’s possible as it constantly opens with people coming into the hall and each time you get a blast of cold air. Terrible design.

Stopped in here for a quick meal before heading off for a walk along the canal. We had the shrimp tacos and eggs florentine . The food was delicious - three generous tacos with guacamole, salsa and sour cream and a generous portion of perfect fries. The Eggs Florentine was really good. One of the great culinary disappointments in life (for me at least) is to order Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine and find yourself presented with a plate containing the expected muffin, eggs and ham or smoked salmon and approximately three thimblefuls of Hollandaise sauce. Thankfully this Eggs Florentine had a generous covering of silky hollandaise enhanced by the addition of smoked paprika. Delicious. Prices were very reasonable and we will be back.

I ordered a risotto as a pre concert dinner. This was disappointing, it was too small (it would have been ok as a starter) and the presentation was poor. It was served in a tiny dish and had a bit of salad chucked on top. It's a nice place for a meal but the food is disappointing.

Absolutely sensational experience. We had the tiger Afternoon Tea for my daughter and the food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming, all the staff on hand were lovely and approachable. We really enjoyed the whole experience and will be back very soon! Cannot fault anything, thank you for a lovely day

We visited B:Eats at Symphony Hall, Birmingham for a light lunch. I had an absolutely superb lamb tagine with couscous. My daughter had "the codfather" - a superb sub with cod fillets, tartare sauce and salad and our 22 month old granddaughter had a kids' sausage, chips and beans. We had a couple of pints of Lawless lager with our lunch. Absolutely lovely and very friendly staff on hand to serve. What a lovely lunch experience! We will be back. Thank you to everyone at B:Eats.

Came to eat before the concert tonight but were told by staff it was not open. Should have been according to their website. Very disappointed that we had to trek up and down all the steps to Slug & lettuce. Not good experience!!

This is a great place. A chilled and relaxed atmosphere with great ambient music. The food is fantastic. I had the Hunters chicken, it comes with corn on the cob, brummie bacon cake and fries. Portion sizes are very good, if you are hungry you will leave full. The staff were tremendous, attentive without being overbearing. Have visited a number of times now and will definately be returning in the future.

My husband and I attended B:Eats on April 30th 2023 prior to an afternoon concert in Symphony Hall. We had an hour to eat a light lunch. The ordering process was very slow and complicated. We ordered two ham sandwiches, a cappuccino and a cup of tea. Our four sandwiches included two full very thick outside crusts of the loaf which had been buttered to conceal the hard outside. The salad leaves were very tired and limp and the tea had no milk. We would have sent the sandwiches back but by this time it was too late to wait for and then eat replacements before the concert was due to start. We combined the ham with the two inside slices of bread and made do with one sandwich each. We will eat elsewhere next time we come to Symphony Hall which is a pity because B:Eats is very convenient. Our experience, however, did not spoil a wonderful concert.

A nice environment for a drink and a bite. The menu is limited but the food is good. Its a good spot to wait out for your performance at the Symphony Hall. More choice in Brindley place but on a cold wet April evening it was perfect

Excellent egg and chips. However 2 slices of dried boiled ham added to this for £13 did not represent good value

The café made a great option for lunch out of office being well located for me. I opted for the meatball flatbread which turned out to be a good choice - a generous serving of tasty meatballs, a rich Ragu with red onion garnish all served on a fresh soft flatbread - delicious! My colleague's sandwich was equally large, they had the second half wrapped to take away. Both came with a side of fries. Good food, reasonably priced and friendly staff - will be back!

Food inedible! Arrived 15mins later than quoted (90mins after ordering!) Burger arrived with no bacon which I paid extra for and had sauce which I specifically asked for none. Tacos soggy and cold. Terrible attitude and customer service..refused refund... avoid this place!!!

A new manager has recently taken over this pub. Already the atmosphere has improved. We came this evening as it was the first quiz night. This was a great success and we can't wait to come back again next week.

The chef told me....They bought Spring rolls and Fish cake from Tesco frozen and cooked for customer ( it's only £1 per pack) . If the food wrap very tidy you must sure it's bought from cheap shop.
