Bean in Rochdale

Extremely expensive and a really bland and tasteless breakfast sandwich. Wouldn’t go again. Nice surroundings but really massively overpriced.

Brilliantly crafted coffee the way I like it and the staff(especially Michaela) are lovely 😊 not even the big coffee chains grind decaf beans to order… I’ll be back!

If you want great tasting coffee and a warm and friendly welcome get yourself down to Bean Cafe at the back of the Riverside building in Rochdale. Jack and Alex are always happy to serve and greet you with a happy, friendly "Hello" everyday. They always brighten my day. The coffee is fantastic. I like mine strong so prefer the cortardo but there's a huge variety to choose from. It's not just a coffee time but feels like saying "Hi" to friends . They always take time to ask about your day. Give it a try -you won't be disappointed.

I arranged to meet Ringo Starr and Sting at Bean today as it was conveniently situated next to excellent public transport links (Starr is a bit of a tram enthusiast and Sting used to be a bus driver). The purpose of the rendezvous was to discuss their upcoming musical collaboration, RingSting. I had an Americano but reluctantly declined the delicious looking pastries as they aggravate my IBS. The cafe itself was warm and inviting and the staff were attentive and courteous, which is more than can be said for RingSting who never showed up. Not so much as a text. Pfft!!!

Absloute love this place i go when ever I get chance I love the coffee the caramel latte is to die for staff are pleasant and its always nice and clean sometimes thomjustvwish they had more outdoor seating

First time we’ve been in here as we’ve always chosen to go in M&S cafe instead as you know you are going to get fresh food and cakes and a nice coffee in there. There was hardly any one in which was about 12 ish. Staff meme we serving was very pleasant who explained their range of new Christmas drinks The mint choc hot chocolate was lovely and the millionaire mocha also The lemon cupcake was very fresh and full of filling. The only grumble that let this down was that it looked like the floor hadn’t been cleaned from a busy Saturday the day before as it was dirty and there was bits of food under tables which wasn’t good and there were plenty of staff not doing anything as it was really quiet ? Don’t think would come back in with having the ever reliable M&S cafe next door

Sorry what a let down enjoy coming here for a coffee and cake but today waiting for the coffee to come only to find out it was left on the side in a takeaway mug ? When I asked why was told that they had run out of cups ? But the next customer order was in a cup ? When I said was not happy I was snapped at by the waitress ? The whole cafe appeared chaotic and the waitress shouting out the orders spoils the atmosphere! Later some one came across to apologise but it was to late as it had spoilt the experience

Popped in with my 3 year old son for a coffee and bite to eat yesterday afternoon. Very welcoming towards us. The only criticism was there were no prices on the food and drinks, apart from the coffee board. Also no labels on the fresh rolls/flatbreads so I had to ask what their fillings were. However, I really enjoyed my halloumi tomato and pesto flatbread! Would love to try the cocktails and gins on offer on another visit. Will definitely be popping in again whilst shopping at Riverside. Very friendly staff and management too.

At the far end of the new Council building is a little cafe. Friendly Baristas blend beans into delicious cupfuls of joy. Food looked good, although I didn't get chance to try anything. The only thing to consider is that, being in the Council building, it can get busy with workers, but it is worth the wait.

Lovely and well priced food inside the library space with a great view of the river. Very recommendable.
