This is my favourite local bakery and take-away coffee shop! good range of delicious pastries and tasty hot pasties. Their baguettes are freshly made and full to bursting!

Overpriced especially as they use frozen premade croissants.

I have only recently become a regular here, despite it being just along the road from home! I have no idea why I waited so long! Great service, delicious food and generous portions. Just a stones throw from the beach and the Adur Ferry Bridge. A wonderful local gem.

Tried their products today and quite disappointed with their vegan sausage roll. The chocolate croissant was ok tho. The prices are quite high vs the quality but they deserve a try.

Such friendly people, my salad box was so satisfying and I loved the coffee served.

Relaxing and friendly atmosphere at a counter service cafe/bakery with plentiful seating available outside at wooden benches. Good quality coffee and whole beans available to buy and take home. Decor includes vintage coffee bean hoppers! Wide range of savoury and sweet baked goods. Decent vegan options. Bread and butter pudding squares are unique and come highly recommended!

Looked like a lovely little place but their coffee was completely undrinkable. Mine was heated up to the maximum, you could literally burn yourself, it was meant to be a flat white but tasted like boiling water with milk. Quite gutted as it wasn't super cheap either.

We were at Shoreham on the hottest Sunday of the year so really busy. However the team were so nice and friendly, and the baguettes coffee and sausage rolls were excellent. We will be back…

Need to work on their coffee. Lovely people and great location but the coffee was really quite poor, I had it with oat milk which normally tastes great in other cafes but this was similar to a free coffee machine in a car garage. Maybe they need to change oat milk supplier…

Had a coronation chicken baguette, beautifully made and devine. Finished off with a caramel brownie, now complete and happy. We will be back

Don't be worried about not seeing any ready - made baguettes on the shelf because they are made while you wait. We went there yesterday and had a crayfish tails + salad baguette and it was excellent.

Lovely, generously filled, buttery, flaky, hot pastries on a chilly Sunday afternoon - YUM! Also, the best vegan sausage rolls we have tried! Thank you, we will return!

Very nice little bakery with a large selection of sandwiches, pasties and pastries, just off the footbridge to the beach.

We stopped here for a break on our cycling route. Staff was really friendly and the food was nice. We had a sausage roll and a smoked salmon sandwich. The sandwich was made freshly with cream cheese and salad and was very nice.

The staff always made you feel welcome and the food is brilliant 👏 👌

My favourite coffee and snack stop off.. Quick service and good covid protocol. Coffee here is ace and they have all the milk alternatives. Cappuccinos are well made, my foam makes such a mess. It's packed full of breads, pastries, cakes and firm buns! Perfect place to get a moist slice! Sandwiches, rolls and nice long baguettes made to order... You always get a good portion! Also a lot of vegan options, the flavours from the vegan bakewell literally explode in your mouth! Nice friendly staff they always want to slip me a sausage.... For my dog! Stop by on your wintery walk and get something hot inside you!

My friend and I always find an excuse to visit this bakery when we are in Shoreham, the coffee is great and the food always fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and polite and the place is spotless.

We visited in the early afternoon on a bitterly cold day, in search of something hot to eat and drink. From the very limited selection of vegan sausage rolls, something on french bread which was described as pizza and Cornish pasties, we chose two pasties and two white coffees to take away. This came to the extremely inflated amount of over £11, however not having eaten all day we paid the extortionate price and took our order away.While the coffee was nothing special but just about ok in my opinion (although my husband threw his away, said it was watered down and undrinkable), we both agreed that the pasties were the very worst we had ever had. Not sure if they were vegan (we were told only the sausage rolls were vegan) but there was no sign of any meat. Once we had worked our way through the messy, greasy puff pastry that was the majority of the pasty, inside we found some brown mush that looked and tasted nothing like meat, a lot of carrot and some potato. No onion, no flavour whatsoever. Truly awful. Since when were Cornish pasties made with messy greasy puff pastry anyway?We would have gone back to complain, but by the time we got back there the bakery was shut. Had I paid £1 in total for this revolting muck it would have been too much, but over £11?! We were so cold and hungry we paid up without complaint but now feel totally ripped off. Will never visit this bakery again and would recommend that others stay away unless they enjoy overpriced and tasteless inedible food. An absolute disgrace, these people should be ashamed of themselves.

Firstly the service is second to none. The priority is the customer. All staff have been pleasant & helpful. All baguettes fresh to order, excellent quality & value. Coffee v good. Open every day for takeaways so can rely on it being open daily in these dismal times. Close to the beach where it can be eaten whilst watching the sea. Thank you.

Popped in on a rainy and windy day after a dog walk for take away tea and cake. Pleased to see a good selection of herb tea'sWe had to wet non impressed dogs in the car so I asked if they did any dog treats, they did not have any but the guy serving me was so nice and gave me some chicken for the dogs. The dogs say a massive thank you

Stopped off here after waiting nearly an hour at Teddys for a sandwich. Teddys did me a great favour as I had a delicious baguette with bacon, egg mayo and salad. It was generously filled, lovely fresh bread and freshly made. Really good value for money.

Great place to eat, the food the staff are first class. Even on lockdown, they continue to serve the most amazing baguettes and other delicious cakes to take away. Advise you ring first at the moment as STEVE, the owner gets busy on the weekend. Thank you all, Stuart Firth.

This is a great local bakery! In the context of COVID 19 putting tables outside the bakery today (Sunday) turns it back into a cafe. People were not ‘ physical distancing’ (2m apart) as they clustered around the tables. Please think again about this and keep everyone safe by removing the tables from tomorrow and observing the national guidance. We all need to do everything we can to cut the transmission rates if our NHS is not to be overwhelmed!

Oh what a gem! Friendly staff and top food! The baguettes are really lovely, especially the crayfish. Lots of other fillings to choose. It's a great place to visit.

We have had good coffees in the past from this otherwise excellent bakery/cafe but the iced coffees that we bought at the weekend was very poor and frankly a breach of the trades description act! Frothy milk with a flavouring that doesn't resemble coffee in any way at £3 each is a huge let down. Guys, it's made with coffee from the coffee machine not some dark liquid from a a bottle (Camp coffee?) in the food prep area at the back - perhaps that does explain why the lady seemed to be a bit surprised when when we declined any flavouring! Perhaps the frappe is the real thing (at £3.50)...?

After doing the beach boardwalk to Shoreham Fort from Ferry Road, we stopped at the Bakery for a coffee and a snack. Coffee perfect! Snack - more than perfect. I had a crayfish roll. My wife - an egg mayo. Beautiful rolls/buns - not the dense and doughy buns that we hate. Staff so helpful and friendly. Other orders looked extremely filling. We will certainly be back.

If you're visiting Shoreham, cross over the foot bridge, admire the boats and wild life and end up here, sitting in the sun with fresh bakes and an excellent coffee. The beach is a two minute walk away.

Took four work colleagues here for lunch and we all ordered different sandwiches. They were all very generous in size, with lovely presentation, served by friendly and relaxed staff. The decor is subtle and cozy,we all enjoyed the quality of the food and we will be back.

I took my small class of pupils with learning difficulties to the café for lunch and was extremely impressed with the welcome that we received. We had pre-booked and the staff went out of their way to make sure that each of my class were happy and comfortable. The staff were patient whilst each member of the class individually ordered and paid for their meal. The food was prepared quickly and was delicious. I can not thank them enough and would recommend the café to anyone.

Always stop here, great for takeaway tea and baguette. But, service very slow! Plenty of friendly staff but some of them work in slow motion.

A great little cafe on Shoreham beach. Good coffee and a nice selection of food. It's mainly baguettes, croissants,cakes, and pastries, so you may be a bit disappointed if you want a fry up. I much prefer not going too these places as the smell of the fryers is off putting, so top marks! The staff are friendly and helpful and I will be returning.

Five stars all day long. Amazing place with great staff. Had a minor ( but major to me as I love my coffee) coffee spillage leading to cake damage....staff were quick to fix with fresh coffee cake and clean up all served up with a smile. Excellent all round service!

I visit most weeks, warm, friendly welcome guaranteed, lots of yummy pastries to choose from, good range of takeaway food including home Meade soups and jacket spuds, would highly recommend.

Being a veggie can limit your choices somewhat but luckily this place has a great range of veggie friendly food. Picked up a salad baguette and vegan sausage roll with a lovely fruit tea to go. Friendly quick and it all tasted fresh and delicious!

I stopped in after riding the Downslink from Guildford, the staff were all lovely, even though i was a bit mucky from the rain. I had a very nice bacon sarnie, couple of coffees and used the wifi for a few hours work.

After reading the reviews we thought here would be a good pit stop for lunch we could take onto the beach. Lovely baguettes crammed with fillings, great coffees and nice cake for afters. Never been before but will be back.

Not visited here before, but popped in for a drink this morning. Pleasantly surprised. Staff occupied preparing orders for filled rolls and serving at the counter, but still made me welcome. My lovely coffee was served quickly and even though everyone was busy, a chatty aside and occasional inclusion in their banter made this an enjoyable half hour. Thank you.

Popped here to grab a drink on a weekend, we joined the queue waiting for the man serving to get to us. While waiting, a lady came out from the back of the shop to where we were standing and asked us if we were waiting to be served, I replied 'yes we are waiting' and oddly she replied with 'well you will have to wait a little longer'

Came across this after a walk along the beach from Lancing on the way back to Portslade, not sure how long it has been there but never noticed it on previous visits,(normally to Into the Blue). A restaurant a few doors up, anyway I had a bacon & sausage baguette which came with salad and crisps and a pot of mustard on the side, my partner opted for the crayfish tail baguette, which came with salad and chips.Both baguettes were stuffed to the brim and excellently cooked, in fact my partner had to ask for a bag to go as she could not finish it, at £4:30 and £4:55 respectfully it was superb.Spotlessly clean and very pleasant staff. Next time we are down child minding the grandchildren,(probably the school hols in the summer),will definitely be paying a further visit. nicolnatsndawn

Have had refreshments here a couple of times after long runs along the Downs Link and it's a welcome site before finishing on the beach. Coffee and croissants are excellent, and the cakes are too. Well worth a try.

Lattes son excelentes. Cruasanes son excelentes. Baguettes de masa fermentada son excelentes. De hecho, todo lo que hemos tenido aquí es excelente. Y el servicio es muy agradable y amable. Sólo he pasado por llegar bocadillos y café en nuestro camino a casa después de correr o caminar por la playa, pero el Shoreham poco mesas y sillas al aire libre parece un buen lugar para descansar y disfrutar de placeres culinarios.

Came here on a really hot and sunny day and had a takeaway crayfish baguette to eat on the beach. They didn't scrimp on the crayfish and the seafood sauce was really tasty. Also had a very friendly welcome from the ladies there. Thanks!

For many a coffee take away is a must for hundreds of visitors. Sadly prices are not marked on cakes etc for sale in the window. Obvious reasons!

Lovely coffee shop and bakery which is perfectly located just near the beach. A walk along the beach followed by a delicious coffee and pastry makes a great start to the weekend. Friendly staff too. Liked the little bags of doggie treats available to take away.

Great little bakery and coffee shop. Staff are very friendly and always helpful.Despite a previous review the staff here are dog friendly, by providing a place to tie up your pooch and a water bowl, as well as treats to purchase for them. The coffee here is definitely the best in the local area. I can also recommend the brownies and rock cakes. Very good!

This is a lovely characterful little bakery yards away from the Beach with a great array of tasty snacks and cakes. I am a fiend for good coffee and the cappuccinos here definitely hit the spot as do the delicious pizza slices and bruschetta .The bespoke sandwiches made to order are also very appetising and generously filled. I always get a warm welcome here so all in all it is definitely a place to try when you are in the area.

This little bakery takes advantage of being the only one on the beach and charging according. You do not get what you pay for in my opinion, clicky staff too. Weird.

This is a small takeaway bakery with coffee. In the summer tables are placed outside and approx 16/20 can sit. This is very basic but very good baguettes with great filling. Soup is on offer plus jacket potatoes. Very friendly staff and quite good value.

Not seeing the 'no dogs' sign, but not sure if dog friendly, I stood in the doorway so that my dog (six inch high, meek little dachshund) was standing on the threshold of the open door. The woman behind the counter happily took my money, saying nothing about the dog. From the kitchen an astonishingly rude young woman stomped out and said 'get the dog out, no dogs in here' and rushed back into the kitchen. I looked at the woman who had taken my money and she said... 'oh, right, no dogs'.. No one offered to bring my coffee outside, or to help in any way. I hovered awkwardly outside the door too shocked by the rudeness to cancel my order. When it came, I took it and said 'first and last visit', the only staff member with any manners did have the grace to apologie. To add insult to injury the coffee managed to be both burnt tasting and weak, I tipped it into the bin. Day redeemed by meeting friends later, 6 people, 4 dogs, in a glorious dog-friendly cafe. The rule is no dogs in the food prep area, not the serving area. Fair enough if you don't want dogs inside, but tell people before you take their money and make an attempt at good manners.

The Beach Bakery is one of my favourite little places in the Sussex area. The staff are always friendly, there is a wide selection of pastries and baguettes and the café itself is clean and crisp. One of the staff members clearly has some serious cooking skills as the homemade mushroom soup was one of the best I've ever tasted. Absolutely worth a visit, all year round.

This little bakery has good selection of hot pastry snacks, pain au chocolat as well as loaves and filled rolls. It sits near the Ferry Footbrdge and is ideal as a place to enjoy a coffee while looking back on the town. Cyclists and vistors use the route so there are often people passing on to the beach. An incredibly popular little bakery on Shoreham Beach. Great for a Sunday stroll stop off. Freshly baked bread and pastries fill the front of the shop. On a sunny day it could do with a few more seats outside to cater for all the bakery fans it attracts. Yum.

Great for a coffee and pastry, and seasonal extras...good soup on the go at the moment. Close enough to pick up your coffee and wander to the beach...without it going cold. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and do ask for extra chairs staff always happy to help if they can. Wrap up warm its outside seating only.

Such a nice little bakery, a small shop crammed full of very appetising looking food and cakes, coffee smelled good too. Only tried the bread which was great, wish I had tried more!

Stumbled upon the bakery after visiting friends in Shoreham and will definitely be back! Freshly preparing the baguettes and rolls make a big difference, all the ingredients are fresh and made up to order. Great coffee too.

It's not a restaurant, it's a great bread and cakes shop and takeaway. Fresh everything everyday and great in good weather to stop off on the way to the beach.

Great service with friendly staff delivering a mixture of home made and traditional sweets, cakes, pastries and great baguettes, rolls etc. I've been going here regularly for over ten years and they never disappoint. Particularly good for picking up take aways and dropping down to the beach or simply chilling out the front with the locals.

Sono un giovane italiano di Roma venuto qui a Brighton in vacanza. Mi è capitato di passare mentre facevo una passeggiata vicino al nuovo ponte pedonale di Shoreham davanti a questo locale che mi ha attratto per il delizioso odore di dolci e del caffè. Sono entrato e ho ordinato un brownie e una cioccolata calda...Posso dire con tutta sincerità che è la miglior cioccolata calda che abbia bevuto!!!! Se passate nelle vicinanze vi consiglio assolutamente di passare a fare la prima colazione qui o magari di ordinare qualche dolce da asporto!!! Saluti da Roma

On a weekend this place is hive of activity as locals who live on the beach walk down for a coffee, croissants, baguettes or danishes. It is lovely to be able to buy a coffee here and walk two mins to the beach and sit there drinking it. If you do please remember to make sure that your cup, anti-scalding sleeve and most importantly lid get thrown away properly. You can of course sit outside the cafe itself and watch the world go by. The filled sandwiches are lovely as are the staff.
