BAYVIEW in Scarborough

Apareció después de un rápido paseo por el paseo marítimo en South Bay. He estado aquí antes y nos gustó así que otra visita para el té y café para el cumpleaños de mi marido. Gran lugar justo enfrente del mar, hermosas vistas con asientos tanto por dentro como por fuera. Personal muy agradable, acogedor y conversador. Tuvimos el pastel de chocolate en la última visita así que quería probar algo diferente - el pastel de zanahoria es fabuloso, gran sabor, fresco húmedo y hinchable. Un gran lugar para una taza y sentarse y no olvide el pastel muy importante! Recomendado.

No sé por qué me tomó tanto tiempo probar este café, pero sirven el mejor café! He estado en un apartamento independiente toda la semana, así que vendré aquí el próximo año para el desayuno. Los propietarios son educados y parlanchines. También noté que a los perros se les permitió entrar en un bono adicional como amante de los animales.

Gran sabor café y una temperatura perfecta - no tibio caliente. Personal amable y eficiente. Lugar perfecto para un descanso al caminar por el paseo marítimo

Back in the day me and my partner used to visit Scarborough very often. The one place we would always visit, which was the Bayview as always had the best coffee best food and best service. Last week for the first time in four years, we managed to have a chance to get to Scarborough for a little holiday and we would give another visit. To our delight it was still open and just as great as it was before. This Café is 100% dog friendly inside and out and the staff are truly remarkable not to mention the food is fresh full of flavour and worth the money. We would 100% recommend visiting Bayview while you’re in Scarborough

As locals, hubby enjoys the coffee in this cafe and recently I had some amazing chocolate cake. The cake was very chocolatey and moist. The staff behind the counter are smashing, think the lady may be the owner. Sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine with nice views of the sea in South Bay. A reward scheme is in place here buy 9 get 10th cup free. Remember to pick up your reward card at the till.

Just popped-in for a quick bite to eat - we had the dog and needed to get out of the sun. Food was really nice, omelette / pannini / bacon bap / pot of T 4 2 & homemade coleslaw was beautiful, we enjoyed it. Fair pricing and nice quality, nothing really to complain about.

While on a short break in Scarborough, I've been searching for good Flat White. I went to multiple cafes, and all have been shocking until I found Bayview. Staff were friendly, and the flat white was done right. Best coffee in Scarborough is an understatement, more like one of the only places that knows how to make coffee in Scarborough!

We sat here at the end of a lovely day in sunny Scarborough! We had hot drinks and the flat white just did the trick; staff efficient and pleasant.

Writing this on behalf of my parents,this was thier experience. First of all the waiter howard was extremely rude and appears to have no people skills or common sense .Whilst Howard was taking thier order,my mum asked for a toastie ,howard replied "no you cant because it's not ready yet" howard passed comment on my dads big coat and asked him why he had his coat on,very inappropriate and not necessary. my uncle found a hair in his scone and howard didnt know what to say to this complaint or how to deal with this ,also they ordered 2 scones and only received one scone ,'howard had the cheek to ask if he wanted the 2nd scone taking off the bill;my uncle replied yes since we didnt get it!!! What a silly thing for howard to say. My uncle got a little annoyed with howard at one point and granted he did say to howard "off you go" as he was getting very irritated with him but since he is the customer no matter how rude that appears it was warranted after Howard's silly remarks and the customer is always right!!! My uncle is lovely very easy going ,howard turned around and said in a very childish raised voice "so rude" . Note to owners of this cafe who appeared to be very nice,'Howard's letting you down!!!

This is a great little venue offering a range of light lunch options, cake, ice cream & coffee. It’s rare to find a nice coffee house on ice cream parlour & fish and chip dominated sea fronts. This nice change provided the perfect blend of playing on the beach with the children whilst enjoying a delicious vanilla latte. This was a reasonably priced venue and worth a visit.

Had a lovely little breakfast here with the other half yesterday morning. Beautiful location overlooking the beach and harbour. The staff were all so lovely and friendly and more than happy to cater to our needs given the restrictions in place. Great value for money and speedy service with great food! Highly recommend! X

This place honestly, what a delight and always a pleasure. Whenever we visit Scarborough we always pop here for a coffee and food as the vibe is just highly satisfying. Although covid 19 restrictions have played a massive part in shop operations lately , the BayView are one coffee shop that have risen to the challenge to create the best vibe possible. The measures are in place (clear, concise, simple) just some customers choose to ignore their systems they have implemented which is in no way the shops fault. We visited here 3-4 times throughout our visit ranging from drinking coffee and having food. The lady who I can only assume is the manageress is honestly the nicest person we have met in a coffee house and she genuinely cares about each and every person entering and exiting. Sanitising was frequent, food was fresh and cooked to perfection, coffee was awesome and fresh and just the whole vibe was fantastic!! I would truly recommend this coffee house to anyone and everyone visiting Scarborough. Thank you once again BayView for a simply amazing experience

The Bayview is a little gem on the seafront. The food and drinks were very well priced. The food itself was excellent. Excellent presentation, portion size and food in general. The variety on offer was also great - something for everyone. You can tell they care about what they do and take pride in doing so. Overall I was very satisfied with everything here.

Lovely coffee and friendly service. Only a small place but has a good selection of drinks and lunch options.

We came here for some takeaway food and drinks that we could enjoy and eat on the beach. The drinks were delicious and the food just as nice. There was a little bit of a wait for a panini but it was worth it because it was so tasty.It is a nice, busy cafe on the seafront seemingly ran by a lot of young teenage girls, who could maybe crack a smile a little more. But the nice food and drinks make up for it!

Tea and coffee were good and had seconds, the breakfast was fine and catered for coeliacs. Reasonable priced food and do more gluten free foods.

Decided to pop here for a cup of tea while in Scarborough. Nice little cafe on the seafront. Outside seating; though wobbly pavement means wobbly tables. Wasn't disturbed by any Seagulls though! Beautiful in the sun too! Reasonably priced, and a good cup of tea.

Noticed this place whilst in a traffic queue tucked back a bit , so a visit was in order which turned out to be very pleasing and worth a mention .The staff were friendly and helpful offering a range of coffees , tea , shakes etc with a food menu of sandwiches, cakes and even breakfast which looked very tempting if you"re hungry ! The coffee and view across they bay did not disappoint and was a good choice .

Been here a few times and it is usually good for drinks and a lite meal.Prices average with food quality good.Although on this occasion we had to wait 40 mins for sandwiches and a breakfast.Our meals, bearing in mind it was only 1:00,came with no coleslaw and after asking told they had run out which is why we had extra salad garnish but it looked just as usual and they were skimping on the crisps as the wife only had 4.The cups and saucers were still warm and wet from the dishwasher,maybe caught them on an off day so will read new reviews before revisiting.

Had breakfast here when we stopped in scarbrough for a night and we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff and a tried and tested almost greasy spoon like cafe. Brilliant. The coffee was fantastic, to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, but top marks. The breakfast was brilliant, we just had scrambled eggs and beans on toast but it hit the spot. If we go to Scarbrough in the future we will be back again. Thank you.

Staff are always very friendly they sound as though they enjoy each other's company, singing, always have a smile, nothing is to much trouble.

if you get a table outside a lovely place to sit and people watch whilst having a drink and eats. Staff very friendly. The coffee was really nice and the hot chocolate with marshmallows & flake that my grandaughter had was amazing. Would def recommend if you want somewhere to chill whilst walking along the prom.

We stopped here for a hot drink what a lovely friendly welcome nothing was too much trouble we were served promptly and the staff were happy to help the coffee was delicious and very fairly priced. We would recommend this cafe if you're passing.They do serve food but we weren't hungry on our visit.

Popped in here whilst outfit a walk. Nice view of the sea as it wasn't too busy. Good selection of drinks and snacks, which for once weren't over priced! Nice coffee and friendly staff.

we were walking on the prom, wanted a sit down and a drink. we thought 'Bayview' looked nice, so we went in. I had a mug of tea and hubby had an americano, the drinks were refreshing and did the job. The guy that served us was welcoming and friendly, the lady behind the counter was busy preparing meals and stocking the fridges. we did'nt eat as we'd had a good breakfast in the hotel, the bacon butties seemed popular, as did the coffee and cakes [which looked yummy], perhaps on another visit.

Visited 29th Feb 2016. Was a freezing cold day, had my disabled mother, pregnant wife and two dogs, we'd been looking for a dog friendly coffee shop on the front to warm through. Visited on 24th and 25th October. My friend and I came just for coffee and a glass of wine but a lovely little place we found. Lovely weather so we sat outside. Will be back next time

We went here both mornings for breakfast lovely little cafe! Huge mag of tea and bacon butties no complaints! Would deffo go back here, nice outside seating area right on the front!

Veldig hjelpsom med tanke på allergi. Glutenfri toast og soya latte delikat servert med et smil. Kjente meg igjen dagen etter. Veldig kjekt å bli møtt på den måten når man har hensyn å ta med maten. God mat, delikat servert :)

Visited today on armed forces day for drinks. The place was very busy so had to try again a little later on and managed to find a seat. Service was quick and curteous and drinks were brought to our seats outside by the waitresses promptly.This alongside the perfect weather and good views i look forward to returning again.

I went there on Nov 4th on a lovely sunny day. Being November it was fairly quite but there was still a good selection of food and drink. Clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The coffee and walnut cake was heaven! If you're passing-call in!

We had just arrived at Scarborough and Bayview was a lovely oasis to recharge the batteries. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Every customer was made to feel welcome. Cakes were very tempting and they certainly served a lovely cup of tea. Well worth popping in when on the sea front.

Went and sat outside the pub it was lovley and the staff were very pleasant I had a cocktail on my birthday it was beautiful good selection off drinks and marvellous different drinks and we will return on our next visit

The waitress' here made us feel very welcome indeed (even though we had our 2 pooches with us).The food was beautiful, fresh and tasty. Nothing was to much trouble for them. We sat basking in the sun eating our breakfast.Creamed scones to die for

The chai latte was a little weak and the sorted this quickly. The cake was a little dry but it tasted very good. They were busy, yet the the two staff members were quick and efficient.

We popped on here one Sunday afternoon for a quick drink/snack before getting back on our coach back home. I think it gets quite busy due to its location on the seafront. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, although a couple of the younger staff were just stood around chatting. Thought the drinks were a tad on the expensive side. Tables could have done with wiping down. Wouldn't go out of my way to head here when wanting somewhere to go to pass the time on having a drink.

Stopped of for a coffee and cake with my wife, nice friendly staff, good selection of drinks, and some delicious cakes, the coffee is freshly made and tastes great, and the cakes are lovely, sat watching the world go by, great views of the sea and beach, and very helpful staff.

During our stay in Scarborough, we always visit Bayview. It is a great cafe, excellent beverages and food. I will recommend this to any one going.

Our visit was on 3 March ...a sunny Sunday morning.As the previous review stated you ordered at the counter,good selection of drinks on a board,looked like a selection of cakes in a counter.Our order was taken by a miserable looking gent...there was also 2 girls...One was eating a sandwich Sat on a step over the back and she did use the hand cleanser the previous reviewer mentioned...which was lovely for her,as the sink in the toilet was out of use and had been replaced with a small tub of water...which had been obviously used by lots,can't help the sink being out of action but hand sanitizer would have been better than the dirty water.Our tea was awful...saying it tasted like dishwasher is being kind.Saying that the place was really busy with lots of regulars...so maybe we were just unlucky.We left without finishing the drinks,and as we left we said bye...but this was not acknowledged.

The Bay View Cofee House is as the name suggests a café which overlooks South Beach near the harbour. It is laid out in the typical coffee house/café style with indoor and outdoor seating. There is local art and photography on the walls, some of which really capture the best of what Scarborough has to offer.Orders are taken at the counter, but drinks and food are brought to your table. There is a good selection of coffees, teas, and fruit smoothies. My partner also had a bacon roll which was a nice size and had good quality bacon served with brown sauce. There is also a selection of local ice creams on offer.This café has a level 5 hygiene certificate, and it is clearly deserved. The tables are regularly cleaned, and the staff takes their hand-washing seriously (with a clearly set up washing station at the edge of their work area). While this last observation may not be in everyone’s idea of a good restaurant review, it did instil a sense of confidence, especially when away on holiday.Overall a very nice experience.
