Left a similar review before but the lamb rara gosht here is quite simply the best curry I have ever tasted ( and I’ve had a few ) the flavour is amazing , a must try if you visit

Nine of us, aged 18 to 71 went to this restaurant tonight and we all absolutely loved the food. We all had different meals and, because we were family, felt happy to taste each others meals and all agreed that all the food was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The whole experience was amazing

Lovely food and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Everything I’ve tried has been really tasty. Great menu with some good seafood dishes too. I really would recommend trying Bayleaf Bathgate, you won’t be disappointed.

It was pleasant surprise that having dinner @ bay leaf restaurant Bathgate with my wife on Saturday. Peaceful environment friendly staff and service . Highly recommended.

Love the food here and so looking forward to our take away. Unfortunately there was an hour and a half delivery time from time of order.It arrived after chasing the restaurant and it was delivered half an hour late. Lady apologised for late delivery and was told food would be hot because in bag, felt the food and it was cold so sent it back and told her I expected refund. Every one I know enthuses about the food but I'll let them know not to order a takeaway again. My brother in Majorca enthuses about this restaurant asprobably the best food he has eaten so I'm sure he will be really disappointed when I tell him about tonight'sexperience

Regulars, but last hand full of orders food missing, not reading notes in order, someone else’s order coming. Very sloppy guys. We’re going back to indie roots. There no excuse for the mistake you are making and ruining £40-£50 meals on a regular basis. Pumpherston didn’t make these bad mistakes ever

Great food, generous portions and helpful staff. The mango marinaded chicken tikka was particularly good.

I am very pleased to say that our dinner EXCEEDED expectations. The venue has tasteful modern decor & is a comfortable environment. The menu includes a very good range of fish dishes which was unexpected & much appreciated. Dishes were light & tasty. Staff were very pleasant & service good. Would be very happy to visit again.

Booked a table at the Bay Leaf a few weeks ago after hearing many positive reports from family & friends. We arrived at 17.00 on a Friday afternoon, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere. We ordered a shared platter for 2 for starters which contained 4 or 5 different tasty bites each and was a lovely appetizer and intro before the main dishes. I ordered chicken Karahi and we shared rice and nan. The food is really good, plentiful, very tasty/authentic. Will be back again and will recommend to others

We are six of us dined here, we enjoyed everything, chicken and vegetable biryani, dal, nan, kids meals and desserts was delicious. We will be soon.

My friend and I went for dinner. The food was amazing. A lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I asked to take away the leftovers and they boxed them up and gave me a fresh sauce. Just lovely. A great wee find…we definitely recommend and we will back.

First time visit since change to The Bayleaf and wasn’t disappointed. Restaurant was very busy but we had booked in advance, although we arrived early we were seated quickly, staff were all very courteous. Complimentary poppadoms were a welcome surprise, portions are generous so we shared a haggis pakora starter which was very good . Mains were excellent, and garlic naan top notch! Absolutely stuffed by this point so no dessert. Food and drinks prices all very reasonable, overall great food and excellent value.

Aye just back from the bayleaf and yes good, after the last time we were in there it was the heritage and didn't see what folk seen in it but the bayleaf is good, service is good and the starter was very good a mixed platter of pakora mmm, and my main dish of the special fish kiraka was really good

Staff are all lovely and friendly…the food is wonderful and so delicious… good atmosphere…we thoroughly enjoyed our visit…highly recommend

Very friendly staff on arrival. I was made to feel extremely welcome. The food was very tasty, well presented but nothing more than expected from this restaurant. I have no doubts recommending the Bayleaf to anyone and encourage all to experience their food.

The best Indian restaurant in West Lothian! We always used to get takeaways from the Pumpherston restaurant but we now live closer to Bathgate. We ate at the restaurant tonight and arrived at about 8pm, the restaurant was still busy which was nice to see....

Had a veg pakora if that’s what you call it I looked like noodles worse I have tasted pakora sauce out of B&M. Lamb bhuna full of fat tasted like grease nan bread was microwaved. No be back place will be closed in 6 months.

My partner and myself had a lovely meal however while waiting on our table we witnessed I presumed the manger who spoke to staff in a domineering and disrespectful way, shouting at them such a pity as I said the meal was amazing.

Usually go to the Bay Leaf in Pumpherston but came here a couple of weeks ago to give it a try. This was the Heritage Restaurant and last time I was there it was awful, well the Bay Leaf have more than exceeded my expectations....

Invited to the opening night, food as with By Leaf in Pumpherston was 1st class. Great service from Tikka, Vickram and the team. Best Indian bar none.
