Nice lunch halfway through a walk. Very friendly staff. And tasty dishes.

Having been coming to Bay View for several years we were all genuinely impressed with the quality of our meals. The food was restaurant quality; delicious flavours, very well presented and served by sociable, friendly staff. We would 100% recommend and cannot wait to visit again.

The view of the sea is great from here hence the 2 stars. It's a shame that the food isn't mine was under cooked the other one was overcooked 😔 Banging loud music added the final touch!

Had a nice meal with 7 others, booked for 20.00hrs and left just before 23.00. Weren't rushed, very relaxed, and caught up with old friends.

We eat here yesterday and wow it was fantastic we had the lamb rump and steak for main along with desserts and it did not disappoint. Beautiful views, very smart and clean place. We will be back tonight

We came here as a family of 12 for an 80th birthday! The food and service were amazing! All the meals came out together and were delicious! Such lovely friendly staff that went above and beyond! Especially one waitress in particular who I think was called Jolie? Could be wrong but she was so helpful and lovely!

A lovely place to stay or just for a drink, amazing views and a great pint

We arrived at around 5 and booked a table for 6.30pm. The lady that booked us in was helpful and over rode the computer system to accommodate us. We sat outside before our meal enjoying a drink and over looking the beach at Widemouth. We then went inside and were show to our table. The pub had undergone a refit and looked amazing . The waitress came over and took our order. She knew the menu well and was able to recommend different things from it.There was a good menu which included a children's menu and a specials menu. I had the salmon from the specials served with pea risotto which was well cooked and tasty. My little one had ordered ribs but sadly there were not enough in stock but the waitress was apologetic and extremely helpful. ( She was brilliant!) My partners meal should have come with rocket but came with kale although this was not a problem. The other meals were tasty and looked lovely. We ordered puddings too. All were good and looked lovely. Although mine came with pomegranate seeds rather than passion fruit. We enjoyed our meal, the service was great with knowledgeable friendly staff ( apart from tiny changes which I'm hoping is down to a new menu) We also were treated to a beautiful sunset! We hope very much to return again and hope the bay view continues to thrive!

So I did eat with my girlfriend and our cousin over here, we’ve ordered a salmon, two chicken Caesar burgers and some fries with Parmesan and truffle, just the fries were good, the salmon it was raw , and the burgers the same I could see from my burger the water coming out. The price is very high for the low quality of the food. And also really cold inside. 21 £ for a little piece of salmon and a lot of rice without any taste.

Great food, Big portions, great sea views and a warm welcome. Update..Had lunch (prawn and chorizo linguine and Beef burger) today 3/4/25. Not been here for years due to a poor experience with previous owners. The new ones have returned the Bay View Inn to a warm & friendly place to eat good food. See you again soon.

Great pub with lovely food at sensible prices,very friendly staff well worth a visit

On a recommendations we Just called in to book a table for after our wedding and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, beautiful location. Very clean and tidy

Popped in for lunch as we haven't been since it changed hands. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Good to see it doing well again.

My wife and I visited the Bay View Inn along with her elderly mother. It was midday on a Tuesday and out of season. We all had main meals which were served quickly. The food was very good and good proportions. They served non alcoholic drinks including cider and Heineken

Wonderful views, delicious food and immaculate interior. The Sunday roast was superb. Would 100% visit again and dog friendly 🐾

Went to Bay View for evening meal 1.2.25 absolutely brilliant food and service. Lovely people. Wish them all the best they have got it just right. Background music brilliant.would definately recommend and go back.

Lovely welcome once again and the fish pie was absolutely scrummy, full of beautifully cooked fish. Made our doggie welcome too.

I'm so glad we stopped. Excellent pub/restaurant with lovely views. Excellent beer selection. We didn't eat, so can't comment on the food, but we will next time. Spotless lavatories. Clearly a comprehensive refurbishment had taken place, yet retaining some atmosphere. Carla is a really competent bar person: welcoming, kind and helpful, therefore a real asset to the business.

Excellent location and tastefully furnished. However, the service is slow in the extreme. A Toasted Sandwich arrived after 45 minutes and it was cold. The Cheese had not even melted and this tells you a lot about the Chef who is incapable of getting the basics right. The Manageress actually came over and waived the charge because of the slow service. The place was also extremely noisy with kids creating a racket for the best part of 2 hours and 2 tables of men swearing and being uncouth. Will not be going there again.

We had dinner on the eve of the restaurant re-opening while on holiday, the crispy chicken was absolutely delicious! All of the food was perfectly cooked and portioned, the service was friendly, the restaurant looked great. Congratulations on your refurb and new owners, we will be coming back in April when we come down again!

Decided to try again as it's many years since our last visit when we vowed never again but with new ownership we decided to give it a try. Restaurant was lovely and bright,great view, good service. Everyone enjoyed their meal I only had one issue and that was more me than them I think I ordered the fish pie and veg and when it came the veg looked like shredded lettuce, chunks of cucumber and fine slivers of nearly raw carrot to be fair we all said the same where's the veg so I asked for the veg and got a dish of the same but hot, so apparently it was cabbage, carrot and courgette not my cup of tea as I was expecting carrots/ broccoli/ peas. I did apologise at the end of the meal as I felt guilty at leaving the veg.

The only complaint I would say was we sat out side and the chairs had not been dried apart from that the service was very good and the food was delicious 😋

Had a lovely meal! Service was great! Didn't feel rushed or forgotten about! Both of us had a burger and they were lovely. Would recommend and will be going back!

Nice food, brilliant location, was very quiet but that was probably due to the fact that it was the end of the summer season.

Fantastic views of Widmouth Bay near Bude, Cornwall. Sat outside Food was amazing all fresh ingredients with brilliant specials on the board. Didn't stay at hotel which looked lovely just went for a drink.

Since the last time we visited the restaurant, it has been extended and completely refurbished! Still great service and really good grub!

Recently reopened with new management. Back to being great again! Traditional food at good prices. Popular with locals and visitors alike. Dog friendly area needs to be booked in advance but there are lots of tables and plenty of parking.

What a place to find while staying at a local caravan site we found the bay view inn,and can i say what a view of the bay.on the first visit we only had drinks with a great range of drinks you are spoilt for choice.staff were very friendly and helpful.On the next vist we decided to have something to eat,my wife had the fish and chips which looked great and she said it was lovely.I had the sea food tagliatelle which was fab with plenty off see food.Staff were again very friendly.If in the area it is well worth a visit.

I was camping next door and this pub was just perfect and very welcoming for a drink and a bite to eat

Very nice place, dogfriendly, food was good but a little bit expensive. The cesar salad was full with anchovies (not only 1-3, the whole salad was full of it😂🙈)

Visited the Bay View Inn whilst on holiday. We visited with our 2 boys 4 & 2 for tea and was recommended the Bay View due to them having a play area. It did not disappoint. Very friendly atmosphere and welcoming. Food was very nice and the kids menu had plenty for our boys to choose from. It was a great evening a space for us to relax and enjoy a holiday drink whilst the kids were happy and occupied. Great views too.Would visit again

Great atmosphere here, local owners are new ,so learning the ropes, we need to support this place to make sure they survive, the last owners did nothing to help themselves, they failed, Good luck Bayview in your new venture

Great to see the Bay View open again. We had a meal with the family. Good food, especially the Mussels. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic staff and great food. Nicely presented and quick to arrive. The home made chocolate brownie was the best I’ve ever had. Live music added to a great atmosphere. I’m sure we will be back. We’ve been coming to Bude for 40 years and never stepped in - the new makeover and management made it very appealing to try. Glad we did!

Food was ok , wouldn't say it had a wow factor that would make you come back again. Unfortunately the staff were not very well trained. Not offered a recipt when paying the bill very abrupt and unfriendly approach. Being local this was a disappointment
