A well place cafe on the prom. Nothing too special. All ok though.

I called in for 2 takeaway breakfasts this morning lovely greeting from the staff very friendly excellent food for a very reasonable price

We always have lunch here when we're in Burnham and it always goes down well. The food and service is very good and its dog friendly too!

Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere would highly recommend 👌

Only stopped for a cuppa. View was fantastic. Tea wasn't bad either.

All I can say was that the food was edible, appeared to be very cheap ingredients with little taste and only warm. The coffee was okay. The ice cream sundae was good, but I had to wait for other customers to be served first even though I had ordered first and the rest of my group had their icecream cones.

Been going here for years it's a lovely cafe one up from a greasy Joe's don't get me wrong it is very nice.

Service was very slow but a great venue and good cake.

So firstly plate was hot but not the food ! We had roast of the day ,cheap packet turkey ,mine had no boiled potatoes on ! Place wasn't particularly busy but service was slow . Then a young man came out from the back .. assuming the kitchen? He has a baseball cap on and a t towel over his shoulder and I saw him pick his nose ... absolutely disgusting!! Will not return and definitely won't recommend to family and friends . Fridges barely had any stock in them and there was plenty of staff around doing ..Not alot tbh Coffee was good though 🤣

Wonderful cuisine, reminds me of the South of France. Delicious lobster thermador, superb wine list and wonderful service. Very up-market clientelle. Its best to dress up to fit in - very Somerset Rivera crowd.

Always stop here on the way to Devon but twice now the cottage pie made me really bad sadly was very noisey inside the young girls were 5 star service excellent the wifes food was good though guys.

Burnham on sea is tiny, not a lot there at all but we had a nice hour on the front at the bay view.

Ate here most days on recent holiday breakfast good value.slightly put off by the number of dogs present but having observed the behaviour of some children. I just accepted the situation.perhaps children should be fed outside.

Very poor service and experience for what we had.

The roast dinner was so tasty and cooked lovely my only wish was for mash potato instead of boiled but still was so nice 😋 The roast of the day was beef it was so tender I will definitely be making a return visit next time I'm there and what was great it wasn't even a Sunday! x

Proper English cafe. Breakfasts, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, tea by the mug and cold cans. Food freshly cooked and good service and prices. This is what the people want!!

We bought 3 latte. Worst one that I've had. Tasted like hot milk. I ask a member of staff to put more coffee in. Still no taste. Maybe they should change the coffee. Or check machine is working properly. We will not return again....

Rather disappointed in this cafe. I guess because it is a tourist based cafe to an extent….food was ok but not exceptional in any way. The whole place had a smell of chips throughout…tables and chairs are basic to say the least and look dated. You are restricted to the amount of sugar and napkins you are allowed - in fact they are given out by staff…to avoid waste apparently… dogs can go inside which is good as long as the dogs are well behaved!!…card payment possible over a certain amount…outside seating available…is what it is …that about sums it up!! Parking spaces in public car park (payable) opposite - ramp for wheelchair access…

Food and drinks was not nice at all Chilli con was disgusting and burger well over cooked no flavour, even the cola was disgusting cheap quality food for high prices

Please stay clear, a total rip off. £7.99 for a 1/4 pounder burger, Holy moly, two dry buns and a flat patty, No tomatoes, lettuce, salad, and I asked for Mayo or any sauce would be an extra 10p, my partner had the all day breakfast, just about edible, and the pot of tea for two, my urine was stronger, and £2.75 each. A total rip off, go up the road and get a better meal for better value for money. STAY AWAY, it's theft, day light robbery. Never ever going there again. Ever. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Decent food and reasonable price

I went there with my family for having drinks but unfortunately had an awful day because of the disrespectful behaviour! We ordered 2 milkshakes and we were shocked when they served our milkshakes because it was milk mixed with sorup only! When I took the drinks (milks) back and very politely explained it to the manager about it OMG she was realldy to argue with me! She requested me to pay £10 more (£5 for each drink) for adding some ice-cream into it basically she said pay that for a proper milkshake although I already paid for my drinks. Anyway when I refuse to pay more and requested a refund because we could not even try the milk drinks they made, the manager just argued with me instead of finding a solution or refunding my money! Other staff members were polite but the manager was behaving disgusting and very unprofessional!! Dear manager if you have personal problems then you shouldn't do that job because someone with an extremely aggressive behaviour shouldn't really communicate with people!! Please get help ASAP you really needed!!!

Nice traditional seaside cafe sit inside or outside next to the seafront get a tea, coffee,snack, meal or an ice cream, public toilets nearby and parking across the road.

A quintessential British café by the sea, you got exactly what's expected. It was packed when I visited, lovely freshly made food, ideal for families. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Ordered a cheese toastie, lady asked man in back can you cook a cheese toastie. My boy could not eat it was hard has rock and looked awful. Will not go again. Staff unhelpful and just chat to there selves

Stopped for lunch £40 for a family of 5 that's without drinks, however the meals were small especially the children's meals they were tiny for the price not much on the plates at all. Very disappointed Indeed.

Nice café on the sea front, depending on where you sit there is good views across the bay. The food is delicious, and good value for money. Can't fault the service either.

5 of us called for lunch (£56) bill. Had 3 cups of tea with our food. Paid for. Food delivery was fast and food was hot however….. they poured our tea when we ordered so by the time food came the tea wasn’t the warmest. My husband went up to get a second cup of tea (£1.50), staff poured it and he went to pay - only to be told it’s a minimum £4 spend so couldn’t get his cup of tea without spending £4. A bit ridiculous when we had spent £56 on lunch. Left us with a very bad view of the place

Not too expensive to eat in, plenty of choice but not flexible if you want to swap options on a meal, such as swapping friend bread for mushrooms on a breakfast. They serve both options, but wouldn't make adjustments. Not a deal-breaker, but also not an onerous request. Good place to get a drink or ice-cream. Not a restaurant environment, certainly more of a family cafe which is what it is billed as. There's outdoor seating when the weather is better, but beware the seagulls!

Always stop here when passing down the S West. Decent breakfast. Parking in B&M opposite

Breakfast was okay, but not worth the money. No kids menu for breakfast, meaning it was costly for toast, bacon and sausages each. The staff didn't ask if our food was okay, just chatting about other members of staff behind the counter. Which isn't nice to see! Wouldn't recommend 😔

After a vigorous walk along the seafront there is nothing better than dropping into the Bay View Cafe for tea, coffee, cake or a meal. Great value for money and always good for lite bites or a full meal.

Go most weekends for a breakfast or just a coffee with wife kids and dog.

Cafeteria right on the seafront; dogs allowed inside; prompt, friendly service; snacks, main meals, cakes, desserts, ice cream, tea, coffee etc. Bright and breezy.

Honestly the most terrible chips i have ever had. Looked like the oil has not been changed in ages and the chips were surely not done. Quite disappointed!

Came here on 31/10/23. I ordered an Eton Mess and it was absolutely stunning. It had proper vanilla ice cream and had a beautiful cream coating. The atmosphere and the service was generally nice. Will come here again if possible.

After our walk around Burnham this morning we had drinks here. No decaffeinated latte available but I had instant coffee made with milk which was excellent. The prices were a bit steep but a table with a view of the sea comes at a premium. Didn't have any food myself but the diabetic members of the party had toast.

Rip-off Ordered two coffees a Scone and a Bread pudding The coffees came in small cups and the scone was pre packed dry ans hard I went to a cafe in Wells the following day ordered the same the coffees was twice the size and had two fresh Scones on each plate with jam and cream for the same price I payed at bayview I won't be visiting this cafe again

I went here twice last week for breakfast and Sunday roast with brownie Sundae. So delicious and price is reasonable for a cafe right on the sea front. Staff were very helpful and the food was quite quick coming out and hot. Will defo be back when I'm in burnham on sea again

The food was very pricey for what it was and wasn't great quality. It wasn't busy so no excuse really. Wobbly tables and very airy fairy staff.

Don’t bother with a chocolate milkshake, It’s like hot chocolate powder mixed with semi skimmed milk for the pleasure of 3.50 Breakfast was average, guess they are busy so quite rushed and not much care Fairly busy place though guess it’s convenient for beach and such but not a delight

Absolutely Wonderful, a very young set of staff on Sunday when we visited yesterday. You all did your employee proud. Polite, Courteous, Hard Working , absolutely outstanding. Bay View is a dog and family friendly cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the staff seem very young but they’re always polite and courteous. They have an extensive menu from snacks to proper meals and an all day breakfast. They sell ice creams and cold drinks from the hatch at the front. My sausage and egg bap was delicious.

Went in for a half pound cheeseburger for them to say they don't do them. Why they can't just add a second patty haha. And for the price of the quarter pound cheeseburger the quality of the ingredients is awful. Which is a shame for a prime location cafe

A good menu offering plenty of choice. The daily roast (normally a choice of 2 or 3) is good value, offering roast & boiled potatoes, 3 types of veg and plenty of meat.

Haven't visited here for two years but was always good in the past. Visited today and have to say I was disappointed . All-day breakfast consisting of cheap sausage and under cooked bacon and tasteless eggs, etc. Has this place changed hands as it was always a good place to visit when passing on the M5.

Reasonable prices and food is ok

The cafe has a prime location on the seafront with lovely views over Bridgwater Bay. It's OK for icecream and drinks but the food didn't look particularly nice from what I saw people being served at other tables. An elderly couple next to us said their sandwiches were bland as the filling had no taste and the bread seemed a bit stale.

We only went in for an ice cream sundae but was clean and the service was swift, even though there was a queue. Will go back again to try the food

It used to be lovely here but now they are just using the cheapest ingredients possible. Everything smelt strange & tasted so greasy. Bacon wasn't cooked enough & the sausages looked like cheap Richmonds - a proper butchers sausage would suit the prices you charge. No hp or heinz sauce - a cheap alternative, surprise surprise

Younger staff members not particularly friendly, coffee ok, food was not great, tasted bland. Only thing going for it was the location

Bacon arrived looking like it had been slid across the pan for a few seconds, and an even shorter time for the fried bread. Mushrooms were also undercooked. No Napkins/serviettes. I can't imagine this place surviving as a business for very long, if it didn't have the tourism trade of people not knowing better. Look elsewhere unless you want to spend over the odds for low quality food.

Great staff and great food all day breakfast was lovely and the cheeseburger and chips are lovely nice reasonable price for drinks and the staff are ever so friendly we'll worth visiting
