Battered Cod in Manchester

No todos los peces rebozados son iguales. Si quieres experimentar un pescado cocinado a la perfección pregúntales. Me encanta una masa crujiente. Su equipo de éxito lo rebozó todo. Satisfaciendo crujientes y suaves copos de pescado. Mi pasta permanece entera, nunca se pierde en el papel incluso después de sal y vinagre en coche a casa. Gracias por hacer del pescado mi plato favorito. Gracias Maya por hoy Ali por última vez y Lisa también. Nos vemos pronto.

Visited this local establishment a few weeks ago when I was in Manchester with my friends, one of which is in a wheelchair - first issue is that there was no access inside the shop for him so he had to wait outside in the rain. Secondly, upon entering the place we were greeted by a grimace from who is presumably the owner due to his terrible customer interaction and the way in which we were spoken to. Despite the best efforts of the other staff to be polite his lack of care still shone through. Finally to top it all off, after spending approximately 25 pounds in the group our chips were stale and the fish tasted chewy and not fresh at all. Would sincerely not recommend this place to anyone with brain cells and taste buds.

Came in the shop tonight, and the food tasted like it had been left out all day!!! Absolutely appalling! Will not be visiting ever again, and to make it worse £10 minimum on card is disgusting, if eating alone it’s hardly possible to achieve- do you not care about the cost of living crisis in a student area?!?!?!! DO NOT GO!!!

Fui allí anoche (octubre de 2019). La comida era increíblemente cara (4 por una porción muy pequeña de papas fritas, una salchicha y una olla muy pequeña de salsa de curry). La salsa de curry era asquerosa y sabía a vómito y el miembro del personal no la cerró correctamente, por lo que todo estaba derramado cuando llegué a casa. El hombre del mostrador fue grosero y poco acogedor y lamenté haberle dado el dinero que tanto me costó ganar.

Will not be returning due to unfriendly service from one staff member, which is a shame as the food was really decent, as was the service from the other staff member. The fact remains, you had one chance to make a good first impression and you (he) blew it. Last night, my girlfriend went to The Battered Cod on Wilmslow Road to pick up our tea and was very disappointed by the service from the male member of staff. She asked, as per the sign offering this, for some chips cooked in a separate fryer to the fish. The man looked at her like she was stupid and was rude to her from the outset, before a female staff member intervened and assured her that this was fine and there were some chips already cooking in a separate one. The reason for this request was actually my severe fish allergy, not that other reasons would be less valid, especially when there was a sign right behind him mentioning this. Rude from the start, he wasn’t giving my girlfriend the chance to speak and told her to go and sit down. However, she hadn’t ordered the rest of our food. She asked for a halloumi burger as well. “Halloumi burger or Halloumi bites?” he snapped at her, before telling her to sit down again. But she hadn’t ordered the battered sausage for herself that she wanted, so hovered wanting to order this too, whilst the man moved on to serve other customers in a far more polite fashion. My girlfriend then got chance, when he wasn’t serving other people, to mention that she wanted the battered sausage too. He told her to sit down again, treating her like an inconvenience rather than a customer, before going on to serve other customers (mostly older, male customers) with actual respect. The female staff member then took over and was absolutely fine to deal with. When we got the food home it was great, but there was already a sour taste in the mouth due to the service. My girlfriend noticed a sign on the wall saying that feedback is very welcome, so here are some home truths which we hope will improve practice, as we hope other customers won’t be treated in the same way. We’ve just moved house and now live very near to this chippy, and was it not for this bad service, we would have definitely returned lots. As it stands, because of one staff member, you’ve lost us as new customers at the first hurdle. Hopefully the service will be more consistent for other new customers or you’ll be losing them as well.

Muy sorprendido por las críticas negativas. Siempre he encontrado este chippy brillante. Uno de los mejores en Manchester. Sentada muy tradicional en chippy. Patatas fritas siempre bien cocidas, guisantes blandos adecuados. No pienso nada en ir en bicicleta o tomar un autobús solo para ir a este chippy en lugar de un local para mí. También había otra tienda en Northernden dirigida por una señora iraní que era propiedad de las mismas personas. Cuando estaba trabajando, ¡la comida era irreprochable! ¿A donde se fue ella?

Justo allí hace 10 minutos, esperaban mucho porque de alguna manera se habían quedado sin fichas (que es la mitad de su menú), luego cuando llegaron estaban empapados y pobres. El pescado es descuidado sin sabor y el sabor de la mezcla de harina mojada. Ignorar las críticas fue mi mayor error, debería haber quedado en la tienda de pollo. Espero que esto obtenga la misma copia pegar respuestas que el otro hacer

Saveloys ahora están siendo servidos aquí gracias a Dios que alguien en Manchester finalmente ha llegado a los sentidos, ahora está bajo nueva administración y la comida es excelente, el pescado no pesa nada de esas cosas congeladas, buenos especiales para el almuerzo, batidos, muchachos mejora xxxtraeré a mi familia aquí de nuevo

He estado aquí dos veces y tuve una excelente comida cada vez. No me cobraron extra por comer y el precio era muy razonable. Dejé algo de la pasta en mi vieira, pero el interior estaba cocinado a la perfección. Tienen un retrete muy limpio que siempre me impresiona. Había una selección de periódicos disponibles para leer también. El personal parecía bastante amable. Voy a volver a visitar felizmente cuando en el área.

Second time here! Great value, chips were cooked fresh and nice big piece of fish. Would recommend for the money! £6 for fish and chips, drink and a side

Han sido una vez antes y quería sentarse en como hacía frío afuera y yo vivo a 3 km de distancia. Pedido mi comida, la zona de asientos fue cerrada y fregado en 20:48 pm. Lo que significaba que tenía que estar en la calle en una noche fría y llenarnos. El pan iba seca pero las patatas fritas estaban bien. Personal estaban mezcladas en su actitud amable, algunos no algunos mucho.

Me and my friend have just this minute been and I've got to say it's the worst Chippy in Manchester. Old, soggy chips which looked about a week old .

Este lugar es adecuado si lo que quieres es un sencillo, barato, abundante comida rápidamente. El pescado estaba bien, algunos de los platos de acompañamiento tibia y las patatas fritas un poco habían pintado. Personal par para el tipo de establecimiento. No hay ambiente o decoración que hablar pero bastante bien para el precio.

Just a complete sham act, better eating Captain Birdseye or Findus than this rubbish, frozen not fresh fish loaded with salt and nasty batter. Unpleasant atmosphere inside.Just avoid at all costs.

Worst chippy in Manchester, which is saying something as it's not a town famous for it's chippys. Tough batter, under cooked chips, tasteless fish. Avoid.
