It was our first time visiting Jimmy's Killer Prawns and we were very impressed! The food was absolutely amazing especially the spice and flavour of the prawns. The staff were all very friendly and special mention to Maryam who looked after us all evening and no request was too much for her. Thank you for a memorable dinner and great 5* service! 👌😃

Friendly service, fast and tasty cuisine.

We go regularly and usually enjoy the food. We spent around £200 this time. Our mountain of prawns consisted of two types, small and large. I guess the small ones were added to make up the number. Also, we asked for extra tartar sauce and the waiter went to get it but she came back saying if you want extra, you have to pay for it. We don't mind paying for anything especially if it's mentioned on the menu. We found this very rude and clearly indicated that making money is more important than customer satisfaction.

Ready for a lovely meal with my girl but had to walk out because they refused to serve tap water with our meal. Said It had to be bottled water at £2:50 a pop. Disgraceful! P.S 40-50 quid they won't get from me now!

Enjoyed eating here. Service was good and so was the portion size. Took 2 of us to finish the paella. Will try one of the platters next time as they did look good.

This is my first time eating at Manchester branch (been to Leicester branch twice before). Foods were delicious and services were efficient especially Srikanth. Good concept and restaurant to eat and bonding/catch up with your friends and family. Also has prayer room if you want to pray.

Food was okay, millionaires platter, website said 1 price, menu said another price and the waiter said it was a completely different price all together , about £40 difference between the 3, very disappointed, we only committed to buy because our son was so excited to try it , we will not be back again

Worst food ive ever tried!!! Me and my family always go to the leicester branch we are regulars and we always get the Jimmys saucy prawns with 18 pieces, the sauce tastes nothing like what it should and the prawns were overcooked and not fresh at all! When we complained the manager came to speak with us and he was adamant this is how it should taste. No great customer service from him at all! Bill came to almost £200 for 4 of us as we ordered some starters too! No suggestion to make fresh ones for us or even any discount as we were not happy with the food quality. Will NOT be coming to the manchester branch ever again.

Don't visit if you have minor allergy to prawns as you will not be served! It is claimed they are a prawn restaurant but also sell steak/chicken/burgers. There's plenty of places which sell prawn but will serve. Highly disappointed.

Jimmy's Killer Prawns is located in Deansgate, Manchester. It provides the seafood style is quite similar to the American style, which I used to eat in Seattle, US seafood restaurant before. We order grilled and deep fried prawns. Personally i like the grilled prawn style more. Service is good.

What a lovely place! Spicy Prawns platter was amazing. Enjoyed the food and easy to park off the street opposite the restaurant. Excellent service. Meme was amazing with brilliant customer service and very pleasant with the big group "24" of us.

Privey but oh my goodness food is amazing

Refused to serve tap water which is illegal. Sorry not quite illegal. I missread their "mocktails" as cocktails. Legally restaurants only have to serve tap water if they serve alcohol. So not illegal but a shame they don't at least offer any mock tap water to go with it :( Regardless of being legal, I think when you're spending close to £100 tap water should be offered. I'm not stingy I just like water, and if I don't need to harm the environment that's a bonus.

Are at this restaurant yesterday, good atmosphere. The food looks great, we found the food to be very salty, especially our child’s meal, I can’t understand why. Children should have low salt and not be covered in this amount of salt. The staff are friendly but have no idea when placing hot plates down on the table in front of a one year old, a child will automatically grab, we had to protect them from that. We found the tables to be small. Our table was for 2 not 3. Our food looked great, but still the next day we are very thirsty from the amount of salt we had. The restaurant toilets are downstairs, but there is a lift.

Worth the long drive to try this place out. Amazing price for such a large portion of prawns. It goes well with the rice. The drinks are a tad overpriced for what they are but overall I enjoyed my experience!

The food is super great and well priced. I asked for extreme spice and it came out just great. I would be visiting again and again.

I had been asked if there was any allergies advised I had but it wasn't served at the restaurant. To which the girl who greeted us said loudly, "we're not serving you" at such a high pitch that half the restaurant started looking at me like I was a terrorist. She could have simply apologised and advised that she couldn't serve us in a professional manner, but you can't teach good manners to the un-educated. Didn't respond to the staff with a bad attitude. Decided to go a few doors down and get a delicious steak rump and ribs. Spent money elsewhere where the service should be as good as the food. She'd be excellent at a Macdonald's drive thru, but not somewhere where there is overpriced prawns.

Came for a birthday meal what a disappointment over price rubbish staff very rude won’t be coming bk again also they give u a car park ticket in post watch out!

The food is amazing!! Perfect place to go with your friends and have a prawn-eating-vibe. The problem is a lack of alcohol. A nice glass of white wine is a must after !

Second time visiting and did not disappoint! Food is great, staff are friendly and accommodating. First time ordered the Jimmy Sizzler and spicy red soup, but really the highlight is the prawns which is fun to devour a mountain of in a group. The second time we got the 50 prawns platter (enough for 4 people) in extra spicy which did have a kick to it and spice built up the more we ate. Loaded fries were good and very cheesy but not something I would order again. The passionfruit lemonade was refreshing and not overly sweetened and artificial tasting which I would highly recommend. They also have prayer room. Will definitely be back, and would highly recommend going with friends and family for a special meal out.

Wasn't sure if Jimmy’s in the UK would give the same vibes Jimmy’s in South Africa gives.... It was the same, we didn't have a reservation but the host made sure we got a table as soon as possible, friendly waiters, food was prepared in record time and everything was absolutely delicious. Would definitely go back for those mouth watering prawns...

Best prawns in the UK. Cooked to perfection and nicely spiced. Good and quick service. Recommend that you make reservation as it can get very busy at times. Lots of paid parking nearby too.

Myself and my partner visited Jimmy’s on Saturday for the first time. The highlight of our visit was the customer service - we spoke to 2 waiters who were absolutely lovely and very attentive. Also, the potions portions are very generous.. especially the size of the prawns! Will be visiting again soon 😄

The seafood platter was more than enough to feed a hungry family. The prawns were tasty and is really a good match to the rice and chips, killer indeed! To pay for good food plus the welcoming atmosphere i wouldnt hesitate to shell out £200. Thanks to Srikanth for making the Jimmy's experience all worthwhile, you're photography skill is admirable.Thank you Jimmy's. We'll now ho back to hartlepool and spread the word.

Food was tasteless, nothing about this sea food boil was nice! Starting off with the potatoes they were rock hard, the crab shouldn’t be served even if it’s a different type of crab there was nothing inside for me to eat, the corn was burnt and tasteless, the prawns were okay I think the only best part was lobster! I was told to come here as many people have said it’s nice but it was the absolute worst and I definitely will not be coming back. When speaking to staff I was told that they’ve only just brought the seafood boil onto the menu and they specialise in other options on the menu. If you only specialise in certain options, maybe they should rethink about having the seafood boil on there! As it was not worth 39.95 for the portion or the taste 👍

It was an amazing experience, the staff were amazing most expecially Mariam. The food was fab, very tasty and delicious. We were in group of four and we all enjoyed ourselves, we will be coming back again...

lovely friendly place, this is a young fun hip place with lots of young people enjoying getting stuck into prawns and fish platters, a fun way to eat with gloves on cracking open the prawns and dipping them in that lovely source they serve with it. i would definitely go there again, yes its a little expensive but worth it

Ordered loaded fries. Avoid. Full of cheese and 4-5 small prawns. 1*. Ordered platter for 2 previously, and that was yummy. 5*.

The drinks were very watered down. We paid 10 pound for coke but tasted like water. They wont serve tap water and have to buy their bottles of water. The prawns were okay but nothing special. The service was slow and nothing exceptional. Wanted to add more prawns to the order but waiter said wasn’t possible as order was done - confused by this. I think it was because it would be too much work for service staff. Super average food and very mediocre service.

Visited on the 18th June 24 The food was AMAZING! I can't fault it in anyway. The drink was a perfect combination. To crown it all the service by the staff was just the icing on the cake Perfect! A big shout out to Daniel, Samuel , Kemira.

Wanted to try seafood boil. Food was nice but the portions are tiny for the amount you’re paying. Mocktails are the best I ever had. Lobster tails were the tastiest part of the dish. Even the chips portion, the plate was not filled up. Servers were good despite the place being busy. Was nice but won’t be in a haste to return personally.

The food was delicious; however, after paying the check, my child went back to the restaurant and asked for more candy. The guy gave him the candy but asked not comes again for just the candy!! Not nice behaviour !
